Another Flash post, only because I got so distracted by a hundred things to do with What’s New SL today, so I better hurry and put this out, or I will lose all my info.
So I logged in and had to run to get new hair, oh my goodness what yummyness…then IÂ got caught up doing all sorts of stuff, hours later I sat there and laughed for at least ten minutes as Whimsy got herself in such a flap claiming she had nothing to wear. Now I doubt that big time as her inventory is as large as mine.Anyway I dragged her over to Designers United II – What a fantastic cause by the way, I would love more info on who is behind that event – and then Ashia logged in and all three of us bought as much as we could carry. After all that though the only thing from there that I am wearing is the Gold Crow ring I have on from GLOW, isn’t it delightful. I am loving how it looks, and the fabulous theme for this event is crows, so the motif on the ring is of a crow and dead trees, it’s fantastical.
The heavenly coat that I am wearing in this pic is the latest from LeLutka , it is tweedaliscous and called Trisha, and if you know me know me, you will know that I am so not looking forward to summer, and the idea of my summer in SL is painful every year, as I sit here dieing of the heat, but not able to resist wearing all the winter wonders that grace the grid. This coat is shaped perfectly for the body, the sculpties are easy to fit, and there is an inbuilt AO option for the right movement, as well as a perfect sit.
Ok why do I call these flash posts, they are getting longer than the others?
I am actually wearing a short skirt underneath this coat, it is the new Loathed Mini by Kyoot, I love this look especially in the in between seasons, autumn being my favourite. I also showed the look with longer dress pants, some older items from LeLutka when the label was Cachet, They are some of my favourite pants, they are the Wednesday pants, and they are YUM.
But originally I had to flash some leg so that you could see the new ankle boots by LeLutka, these are called Chloe and they are that perfect shoe/boot look that allows for prim pants, but has that boot look that always looks so hot, I don’t know what it is, but I really love it, and am so glad to have the ability to still wear it.
Hair Hair fabulous Hair, Lamb you are doing wild and wonderful things to my hair follicles of late, and if you are an aussie and you have ever tried an orgasmatron, that’s how I feel about new hair. Say is one of two newly released hairstyles today, and its just the bombdiddlydoo it really is.
The skin I am featuring today is from Red Queen (rQ), it is way too complicated to name in a sentence , but it is as usual beautifuly made up. I love the way Ruth accentuates the eyes as she does, and just ads the right amount of flavour to the mouth. This time around Ruth added piercings to the body of the skin as an OPTION, you will have to see that in the DEMOS, because if I showed you, you would only see one of them.

At a few minutes before the hour of midnight last night, Arabella, Ashia and I tpd around like crazy women, to try and get to all the 50L friday items. We managed I think to get most of them before Ashia had to leave…it is always so hard to spend the right hours together with everyone living all over the world.
The last few days I have been sleeping almost like an aussie, it’s been shocking to the system. Mel doesn’t sleep like an american, Whimsy doesn’t sleep much at all, Ashia is always up extra late for a pom, and Arabella burns the candle at both ends in NZ.
It is now 8am and I still haven’t slept, but I had a great time nattering with the masses in FE today, and having Whimsy be mean to me, yes yes she was a meany bum. Yesterday much earlier in the day I was sooooooooo cranky, that the girls had to deal with me grumbling as we shopped, and then I got to BP* and I was in a glorious mood, because I found the ultimate in vintage jeans love….actually it was a denimpaloooza, not only did I find the jeans of Yum, but also the Gaucho denim pants of Yummyness too.
The flared back of the jeans is just wonderful with inbuilt ruffles in gingham they made me squeel with delight. You get three options of colour in the pack, but really can you go past red for your gingham. I was also overjoyed that it went perfectly with the Summer Breeze dress top portion that I was wearing yesterday in yellow, in the red which I had also bought…I was a happy bumblebee, the fact that Anya has used the system skirt for the bottom of this is awesome.
The top half of me was taken care of in full by OhMai today, not just the top of the dress for with the jeans, but also the lovely cami and vest..the vest is the type of open look that goes with just about everything, dressier pants or a slimline skirt, it will all work really well. Sometimes you just have to get your denim groove on, and today was my day to do so.

Over the years there have been many reasons to visit the store, or run into the Designer and her items that I am featuring today. The first time I landed there was because of something I read, the second time was because of Pirate boots and not only did I walk out with those, but also some Yeti ones as well – goes to find them to put them on, they should keep me warm. Wooohooooo * clomps around in my fox fur yeti boots.
Ok where was I, oh yeah, third was at a Charity Auction were the Mens suit came out on a lady,the fourth time was for an Aussie Bikini, and the most recent was not to the actual store, but to see the designer on Fabulous Fashion…now originally I went to the taping to see Zoe Demar as guest stylist, but I was ever so excited to be able to actually sit in on the taping of one of our long time, and wonderful resident Designers Swaffette Firefly as a guest of the show.
For a start, if you have ever wondered, or in fact thought about it at all, I think she sounds exactly how you might imagine. Swaffette Firefly has a lovely speaking voice with an adorable accent. She spoke passionately about her designs, the process, and her past and future with Second Life, it was actually a really captivating show, I could have listened to her all day.
Anyway I am rambling, and I totally meant for this to be a short post, almost as short as the sexy Crochet ensemble I am featuring from SF Designs today. If like me you were around at all in the 70’s , I was born then but I remember it well, you will find this look very familiar. The crochet look was huge, if you had a nana that crocheted you were set, but then convincing them to make you an itty bitty bikini wasn’t always so easy.
I didn’t have the nana, but I did have a store bought pink crochet bikini, and you cannot get them wet, they are for enjoying the sun in, nothing more. The one that comes with this Caribbean Crochet set is beautiful, not only is it white and able to show off your tan splendidly, but it has the lovely addition of beads at the cleavage, straps and ties..a really nice look and a touch of colour.
The dress has two options, cheeky and discreet, note the cheeky is just that, but of course you can wear the bikini bottoms under it, the bikini top as well if you wish too, but the straps and style of the tops don’t go together as well , so on it’s own is just right.
There is something definitely naughty about crochet, I don’t know why, but even though you are covered, you can end up feeling way more exposed than if you were wearing less. I guess that is the whole idea, definitely an outfit for Second Life, with the weather always permitting, this is an ensemble that is perfect for walks along the beach, enjoying time outdoors, and definitely, definitely for enticing your partner with.
If you want to check out the PERFECT place, and I do mean PERFECT place for island items,a beautiful store – uses the word store ever so loosely – is a place created by Tobias Novi, I have a few of his pieces at The Deck , and I wish I had room for more, his work is stunning and prim count will be a thing of the past once you start buying from there, everything is huge and yet little prims used.
He does a lot of the outside sim reefs and islands, also his inside sim stuff is just gorgeous, his tree houses need to be seen and enjoyed, so grab some friends and explore his sims, and be amazed like I was that they are homesteads. Also look for the squirrel house , it is a work of art.

What’s in a name
What’s in a name, well today lots and lots. A few months back Dove Swanson of Long Awkward Pose asked some of us to choose a rl picture that we like the real pose in, and she would try and recreate it for us. Yesterday she released the Wonder Girls pose set and I was so excited to see that my choice made the cut.
I decided it might be fun to do a pic with each pose; in a kind of look of the person it was named after, now I don’t know all of the people, and some that I do know I had to mix some things up, but it was my ownfun and entertaining way to cope with not being able to sleep.

It was so much fun dressing up as Achariya, I combined two old favs from Ghost that is now Triangle. The Skirt comes in handy for all sorts of fabulous looks. This pose is ideal for holding things, and the bandaged kitty from PF was an ideal blend with this look.

I totally believe that Autumn would just cop a squat anywhere and take a call, a recent hair release from her own store is just adorable, and so suited to the fabulous Nautical set by Roslin Petion of 5th&Oxford (Previously not on Buffy but Fleur). You cannot see enough of the clothing to give it justice , but take my word for it, if you are into highwaist double buttoned sailor pants, THESE are a MUST HAVE. Also must haves are the thongs on my feet, they are FREE at the horror festival at Drowsy, get them in all colours , I was so excited to find a great pair , and free just made them awesome.

This pose, and the name, what else could I shoot but Lingerie, and fine a lush lingerie it is. Recently Blowpop released this set and it’s just awesome, seriously if Annyka doesn’t keep making clothes, we will have to stage a sit in. The lace topped stockings are sold as seperates, which is great as they come in different sheer depths and are a great price. Often you just need stockings because you have all the other pieces already.

The first time I ever saw this hair, or any hair by lamb for that matter; it was on Dakota Buck. This pose is fabulous as it has a definite, I’m waiiiiiting but I’m being very cool about it look. I mixed a lot of TRUTH items in this look, I adore the cardigan coat, big and long and wintery warm…it is so what I need right this second. If you look really hard I didn’t credit it, because you cannot buy it , but there is a sneaky touch of Savvy in there :P.

5th&Oxford with their rebranding came new skins, Audrey is the name and with that comes the classy looks that Fleur in the past was reknowned for. Lips that are full and poutyful, with a lovely and delicate skin tone, semi porceline looking but with some peaches thrown in.Also from the festival, I think I bought everything, the bag I am carrying was actually the bag the bandage eyes comes in, I thought the bag was so cute I had to wear it as an accessory.

Yes , not often or ever would you see me in a shirt like this one, Ryker made them a while back for fits and giggles. Definitely a pose in suiting with her character, peace love and mungbeans baby. I love these jeans by the way, they were made an eon ago under her Lix label, yes Ryker made them too, I don’t know if they are even sold anywhere as they were from her old store..but you should harass her if they arent.

Actually the first chance I have had to wear alllll the pieces to the Nizam set, it is primtastical but at my own home if anyone complained I’d have ejected them, well actually I wouldn’t the security would because they shouldn’t be in my house lol. Such an incredible set, and what better place to show diversity and your love for cultural pieces than in Second Life.

I had to hunt down that hair today, seriously the other day I had seen it on a customer and found out it was from a store I hadn’t been to. I had many other things to do that day, and luckily I made a note of it to remind myself to go when I was back from shaping *^(%&^%^*&^*(( only Aussie’s will get that terminology, or at least friends of that are used to us screaming blue murder when it happens.
Anywho’s , today I dragged everyone to find it with me, and by everyone I mean the usual suspects, Justice, Ashia, Whimsy and Arabella. At first I had the wrong location, it was their satelite store I had made a note of, not their main, and through sheer crazyness and for some reason not thinking to look if their was more info on the profile, I IM’d the creator and was sent a LM to the correct store lol.
Nothing is too hard for me when it comes to hair. I got it I love it, it has that Elvis vs Johnny Knoxville kind of thing going on, and um YUM – the Dukes of Hazard Johnny , not the one that used to do crazy things with others and film it, coz that Johnny was just plum crazy.
Showing off the tones of the skins I am featuring, I am wearing a few of the Hotness Bikinis from Luck Inc, aren’t they trashtastical. Seriously the hair, the glasses and the bikinis with the raggedy tank hiked up over the breasts, I am ready to hook up my trailer and take it on the road Vegas style. I recently had a chat with CK Winx of Luck Inc and it was decided, that the store is a ongoing process of things Men want to see Women in.
Truth is too, that I think it’s a bit of a mix also of things Women want to wear for their Men too, but of course to be respected in the morning if we do ;). I opted for the kini prints that actually made me think of Route 66 and the kind of prints that you would find in retro themed stores, there are others in the Hotness range, and all equally sexy.
I’m featuring the BlowPop N2 Ava skins today, recently released these skins live up to the benchmark that Blowpop is known for. Beautifully worked bodies, with stunningly unique faces. There is something very wise in the character of Blowpop skins, a kind of all knowing, all seeing elusiveness.
Each make up has a second option, being a richer lipstick choice, the make up is definitely a more mature range of make ups, very sultry and earthy in tones and colour. Ava is the kind of skin that will feel very comforting, warm and friendly to not only those admiring you, but to yourself.
Take her for a spin around the house, dress her up, dress her down…really see her from all angles..DEMO DEMO DEMO.
The second and third outfits are from Whippet & Buck, a store that is a mix of Twiggy Whippet and Dakota Buck, two aussies that know a frock is a frock is a frock, now that I have the Haver tiered frock I don’t have to think of examples when explaining to the unkowing what a frock is lol..and what a frock it is, the RFL dress is a beautiful tiered frock, with such beautiful colours that I was in heaven when adding the Lamb hair and finding that the hat had a colour option in the perfect harmony. Plus I am so in love with the Lamb textures, not just the colours themselves but the names and the way they are packaged.
The ensemble above is a mix and match of boy and girl, the Sgt Pepper Cropped Jacket is a MUST HAVE as are the fabulous Harris Tartan Shorts, I adore these shorts, I honestly think I purchased those before the womens stuff. The adorable riding gloves are also from there, lending a real vintage look to the outfit.
The Clawtooth hair Timeless Glamour didn’t hurt in that department either, adding more glasses from DeLa and the DeLa socks, with the high oxfords from Tesla I was on my way to lunch with the ladies at the Club, snickers, ok maybe not, but I could be :P.
Lastly after hours of grid jumping today, with all the girls, then some of the girls, then one of the girls, then a different one of the girls lol, I ended up back at home unwrapping my goodies, and quickly putting on my Aoharu stuffs.
Aoharu is having a sale at the moment, and it is pretty much the last 22 hours or so now, talk about cutting it fine, I know. But seriously can you feel the 80’s love. The dress comes with sculpted pockets also , but as you can see you can detach those and have it more slimline, the belts OMG the twin belt is fantasticalafabulous. YOU MUST MUST MUST go grab the pack of those, all colours and a steal.
A sale at Aoharu means you must grab all the socks you can carry, seriously she has this knack of making socks just look heavenly. I grabbed a few other goodies, I have no idea what is staying or what is being taken away, so do not miss out on this sale. Hair is also part of it as well as shoes, so grab as much as you can at the saving.

Up the Stalk – &Bean, La Sylphide, DeLa, Red Queen, Lamb, TRUTH,Tigerclaw, Kalnins, Dare
Shhhh they are sleeping, or at least turning in for the night.
So lets start with the checking out &Bean, I have probably redirected a billion people there this week all wanting to know where the skin was from in the latest Maitreya Hair ad.
So last night I decided to go and check it all out myself, under the beautiful rainfall that fills part of the Cupcake sim I found the store, more thanks to Ashia though, who after me getting lost found me a direct tp.
I was more intrigued with the clothing I have to say, the demos of the skins are all there and fab, but when I saw this skin it was a Must Have, it is called The Pale Anger – Sale at Armidi, which I think is a hoot of a name, if they did have one, it would be that rough and tumble lol. The bruises, scratches and black eye and fat lip are incredibly detailed.
The outfit is the I Kill Her set, also by &Bean, I love the caged undergarment style of this set, perfect for recreating some Scarlett styles. The Grey and Black lace teddy is well worth grabbing it for even if the cage isn’t your thing.
The hair I am wearing is called Carissa, it is by TRUTH, and is a lovely pigtails style with a loose look thats in that thrown back and together look we often have to adapt to.
I saw these boots from Tigerclaw and I fell in love, they are the Police SWAT boots, and they also have a blue light option you can buy, I felt that the red lights would be easier to co-ordinate with, they are so much fun to stomp around in, and really well made, the textures are beautiful.
The Maps Jacket and Slick and Shiny pants are both seperates from &Bean, the jacket has with or without prims options, and a preferable way to wear either, I went totally the opposite. Under the jacket prim cuffs is actually a pink texture variation, so you do in fact get two looks for your money. Silver and shiny, too hard to resist were these leggings, they come in other colours as well, but this dark steel like silver was mine.
The perfect accompanyment to the outfit, are the New release Kalnins Fashion shoes called Coquette, now I will let you in on a little secret, these shoes are actually cheaper on Xstreet HERE , so check them out at either place – and it isn’t really a secret because Maris Kanto the owner told me himself lol.
The shoes not only have beautiful preset colour combinations, but also the ability to choose which colour where, depending on what strap or part of the shoe you choose at the time, the presets are a great guide as well, I used one of them and then just changed one strap setting to get the charcoal, so it was easy. They have sounds, shiny , colours all contained in a drop down menu, there are also feet lights which is a novel approach, but hopefully no one will use outside of a studio or photo shoot need.
The downside to these shoes is, that if you do not have a modify shape you will have your hands full trying to mod them, and I am not even sure you can to a size 0. They are designed to wear with a size 11 foot, and if you have some height to your avatar they look splendid. There are demos there to try first so you can see how you fare. The style is just stunning, and they are definitely a spring into summer sandal heel.
The hair I am wearing is too cute, it is Torn by Red Queen and I just love how the hair is wrapped around the neck as though like a scarf, those with long hair at some stage have either done that, or wanted to when it’s been freezing cold. The back of this style is just gorgeous as is all the Red Queen hair, thick and long, with playful styles and attitude.
I am wearing the New RGI Sunglasses by DeLa, there are no limits to her creativity, the sunglasses are in various colours that are rich and vibrant, with different lens colours depending on what you are wearing or in fact your mood. The shape of the glasses is vintage at its best, with the large frames covering most of the face to give off that lady of mystery look.
Behind every Lady of Mystery is a little girl, or inside at least.Back when Loco Pocos first opened it’s doors to the public I had all these exciting conversations with Damien and Washu. One such conversation was about the ability to indulge in Loco Love but stay regular sized and shaped.
Finally it is here, The Loco Poco, Poco Pals. They are just adorable, and yes they are all wearable plushie style Loco Poco characters, I was so excited to see these, and not only can you wear them but you can play dress ups with them. They have an inbuilt Menu that allows for choosing clothes, facial expressions, Name them, what colour eyes, and fur they will have and so on.
This is me putting all my Poco Pals to sleep for the night, and yes I still have my ALF Doll and my Dolph the Stuffed Dolphin and my very own Panda Bear that is 37 years old lol. So next time you are in a dither about what to get a friend for a rezday/birthday, anniversary or just to make them smile, this is the ticket.
The skirt I am wearing is the Signaling through the Flames tutu, and the tank is the beautiful Reckoner tank that comes in two options, both of these are also by &Bean and are seriously girly in an antiquey way, love them.
The hair I have on is from Lamb, the store is also at the Cupcake sim so it was easy to grab, it’s the Teased Up style that I believe is the much requested hair from the hat/hair previously released, with a tad more backcombing done, which I love doing RL too.
Not all the Katie Faces made the pic, but these are six of the eight lovely New Make Ups for the La Sylphide Katie make ups. The lips are so soft and supple, with a light coat of lippy and the soft eyeshadow under those divine and long lashes.Stephanie has done an incredible job on the lashes of these skins, I am not wearing any prims at all, and the uppers are superb. When the skin creator takes this much care in doing each lash like this, wearing prim ones is an insult. Make sure you check out the demos yourself.
A big shout out on the New poses by DARE, these are the Antoine Picard inspired poses, not only are the original artworks beautiful, but you cannot not take a look at the vendor ad by Chance Greatrex, this vendor ad to me is just so gorgeous it reminds me of 1920’s Musical Advertisements, I just love it.
