Reason 436575 why hair bases rock the planet. So many Sales on at the moment, Maitreya’s sale ends today, LeLutka has started a skin sale, and Emery has a sale going on too. Anywho I put together this look from some of the things I have picked up this week, as well as items I already had, no long winded ra ra from me today.

So the other week I was standing around and Fiachra tp’d in looking all dolled up, which for a boy just means new clothes. So he told me that he had found a new to him store that he thought I would like, and sent me the LM. Of course I didn’t have a chance to go visit until today he asked if I had, and off we went. Now the store is mainly catering to femme boys, and that rocks in and by itself. You will definitely find some unisexy or even girly girl gear there, and make sure you check out the tote bags, because one is just sparkly must have. Now the bottoms of my outfits are from left to right, Fri.day, LeLutka and League, but it is the tops that are from A.S.S – minus the bikini tops underneath from Luck Inc and Adam n Eve.
The clothing at A:S:S is fun and imaginitive, and the store also has skins, so if you have been looking for a femme boy skin, then you know where to head to. Showing off the latest creation by the talented Marni Grut of Royal Blue, these are at shoe fair, and are fun and funky, totally in keeping with the style of today. Also at shoe fair and just as fun are the Scribble ballet wraps that come on clothing or tat layers.
These remind me so much of one of Radio’s art pieces I purchased from her gallery that for me they are a must have. As I am writing this post, Whimsy, Fiachra and I are at the Particle Lab, it seems – shocking to me – that Whimsy in all her years in Second Life had never been, so we had to be sure to fix that. The particle lab has taught so many incredible creators their skills, and it is so good to see it still exists this many years on.
There is also a room at Cloud Chateau, which you can ride a balloon to, where there are like particle shows, and its just amazing to sit and listen to the stream and watch. Enjoy the strut
Holy Toledo – wonders if Toledo is more Holy than the rest of the U.S? anywho, so new hair is coming, and I have been chomping at the bit about it for weeks now. I wonder if you can guess who’s hair it is just by looking? and OMG Shoe Fair is just around the corner and right now I should be over there drooling, but I spent so long taking all these pics today, I totally lost track of the time. So much so that I got the dates wrong in my head.
Some not all the shoes in todays post are new, newish and older. First two are newish with the Wonder Shoes by Kalnins, again with just the colours I needed for my post. These give the oppurtunity for all one colour straps or two tone, which works really well. Also included is black, which if memory serves me well I have never used on Kalnins in the past.
I would have to bet that many would agree,that Roslin teaching herself to make clothes in the past year was a much needed thing for our inventories. Especially as she has such a girly girl creative flow, it really does up the prettyness all over. The use of vintagey prints and soft fabrics, her dresses and swimsuits which I really really wish she would turn into a micro mini, are just beautiful, the swimsuit to me would also serve really well as a brushed velvet bodysuit, depending on what you did with it.
Are you in lust with the hair yet? the first three styles are Amanda 1, 2 and 3. If you haven’t guessed already, all of the hair today is LeLutka and about to be released shortly, hopefully tomorrow so you don’t kill me. Thora has been doing a reworking of how she does hair lately and the work has paid off, the styles are soft when needed and perfect for picture taking when the style is created for effect more than motion. That is what has always been so stand out about LeLutka hair, the tendency to lean both ways, working not only for the photographers hiding in us all, but also for those that just want wearable beautiful hair.
At last years Shoe Fair the very first store off the TP point for me was Ana Mations, and the items that jumped right out and grabbed me were the rollerskates. I remember a few familiar faces all piled into the store that night, and I spent the rest of my time rollerskating around.
Now even though Anamations is an animations store, the skates do have their own tricks etc, but I went with the poses from aDORKable, who also have some great poses available at the fair this year. The chance to have such fun again came about because of the recent release of the roller rompers by BOOM. How fantastically 70’s are they, with of course a more modern twist, that being less fabric across the bum lol. Also from BOOM are the very cool tube socks and the rasta coloured sweat bands, to make it even more realistic I should have worn the sweat from Luck Inc, but I am saving that for another time.
This project theomary about to take place is Beach Bash, and BOOM has released the pretty bikini set for the event, not only do you get the string versions but also the halter and fuller bottoms….but wait there is more, you also get all of them available on Tattoo layers. Talk about above and beyond layering wise, and with the new added layers options that is just tooo cool.
If I was playing Family Feud and the question was ‘things you do in a sexy bikini’ I am so sure Hula Hooping would come up. So on that note the recent Hula Hooping Poses by !Bang worked out just right. For this set you get the pose and the prop – hoop – that has a texture change script built in, so that was handy to match up to my kini. Also matchy matchy due to the fabulous minds and scripterroos of SL, the latest Espadrilles by GOS are awesome. I really am happy that not only can you change the colours of the shoes with the menus once you add the new texture pack thing, but you can also change in parts, so rather than go all teal or all sand, I was able to mix and match. Of course espadrilles are a must have for summer, and these ones are fab.
Lastly a little bit mixy matchy with the Luck Inc and BOOM. The bags are great, fantastic texture options, with scripts to change the handles and my favourite part is scripted to change size, now I prefer mod, but if no mod then this is wonderful for bags, because sometimes you want a huge oversized, and other times maybe just a carryon. The hair in this pic is Lake, gorgeous do, and so incredibly spot on if you know the inspriation. A lot of the new LeLutka hairstyles have been inspired by amazing women of the silver screen. Veronica Lake is of course the inspiration for this one, and I think personally Thora nailed it.
The Enya boots by Kookie are the latest release at Shoe Fair, and they are wicked clompy. I almost went stormtrooper with them. But decided to keep going where I was headed as they worked that way too. Next time I will have to kick some bum with them on.
The skin I am wearing is from Sn@tch and for the next few days they are having a huge sale, which includes the gorgeous skins. I had to get the pack of these, and the make ups are just stunning. As you will notice on the right I am a different tone, that is due to Luck Inc’s skin burner. I thought I had seen it all when it came to enhancements but this one takes the cake. Only 1L in the Main store, this is a tattoo layer only and you wear it over your skin and voila new tone. For those that love a darker tone, this is a major bonus, and will probably save people a fortune.

Wetlands is my …..
I was feeling all ready to take a hundred pics today, and then I got all turned around and upside downed and gave up after one lol. It started out with the middle outfit, and then I just liked the idea of black n’ white with a touch of pink. Usually this combo would steer towards red as the colour splash, but I went a little louder.
Black and white makes such an great backdrop, and with the stunning creations all over SL it isn’t hard to find pieces you love. With the middle dress though, this is more of an oldy, that was also a great bargain, it actually came with red pearls. I am not a huge fan of how the finish is done around the neck, but the overall look is there. If you have a more tailored look in similar print, you can play around with that too.
I dragged Whimsy over to INDI yesterday, and she proceeded to be driven around in her new ‘float’ that was a group gift from Thistle…all laughing aside we shopped in the new hair salon, and the styles I picked up are gorgeous. Not just the style and primwork, but the textures have such great depth and highlights to them, they are beautiful to wear, and very cost friendly on both packs and fatpacks. The Modeno style looks great with the smokey deep eye make up of the LOLA skin by LeLutka. Even though I can choose from a number of lipsticks with this new fabulous skin, I chose to go nude lips, because there is enough slash pink in the clothing and accessories.
The bubble skirt dresses from Maitreya are an 80’s lovers dream, balloon skirts were all the rage mid 80’s and if I combined the top of the left skirt, with the balloon of the right, and added black and white stripes I would have my favourite. Now that I look at the pic composite I think that’s what I was channeling lol.
Thank goodness again for layers and mod, modding done to my sunglasses and belt in the middle, adding a slight tint to the already colours, to get them to be more like the pink of my leggings. The fabulous corset by Sn@tch is so well structured and available on all layers, so with the skirt taking up the jacket layer, I was still able to wear it…cries big sobs when people only put things on jacket layer, it totally makes them unwearable most times.
Ok that is me out for now, off to work out some Hair Fair business and run around Stormwind with Whimsy, it is her equivalent of old Gurl 6, I would explain but you wouldn’t believe me. Don’t forget to Join the Subscribo Matic at The Deck Landing point so you can keep up to date on Hair Fair info .

Biker Straps
Wow this week has been flying by…getting everything sorted for The Deck’s first birthday, I have already seen some of the beautiful items being given over the weekend, and I am floored by the generosity of the creators. I even found the cutest balloon fountains to decorate with, but as they are particles I am keeping them mostly out of avatar range so that no one ends up in a grey squares attack…I remember being new and poofers were all the rage, and you would tp somewhere and suddenly be swarmed by them. It used to scare the hell out of me.
The new dresses by Luck Inc are so much fun to play with, I totally distracted myself the other day playing with combinations just with themselves. Due to the layering and options, I could have gone on to introduce other items and totally gotten lost. The style has a semi open buttoned look that is great for casual running around, add a belt etc, but then you have the pulled down and under effect that reveals, well lots really. By adding one of the other layers from a different colour you get in my opinion a great contrast look.
Even more exciting was not only do the colours come in a great range, but they were easily matchable to the knee high boots from LAQ. I really like not only the two tone look ( the gold boots have black leather inserts) but also the bikerish style with the leather straps and that biker chaps combination but in footwear…you know the ones…those leather pants that use another colour instead of a cutout.
I am wearing the unBra skin again, I did mention last post that now it has four cleavage options, and because of that I had to wear something that showed off my favourite which are one and two, this time due to the open nature of the dress I went with the more relaxed version in the one. It is fabulous to have that kind of option, to be able to look at an outfit and say ‘what is keeping them together?” if nothing then you just need to go with the more relaxed version if there is one, and if totally confined then enhancement is definitely the way to go.
I am at IOW right now watching a gathering of residents have a social chat, it is lovely when sims are still that way after so many years….have a great week all, and don’t forget to come visit me at The Deck over the weekend.

Enough looks for a week. I have been doing some other things with Whimsy all week and it has been exciting. But really wanted to take the time to put together a whole lot of different looks featuring one or two items all the way through.
In the first pic I am featuring hair from Magika, her latest releases are just stunning, Sabina has totally nailed Sculpted hair and I am so looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us in the future. I also would love to see more of the wavey styles such as Kelly on the right, that style is super sexy, and those waves are perfect.
The latest shoes from Orange Creations are really pretty, with their strappyness and really nice colours. I especially like the option to change the straps to brown or black, and played on that throughout the post. The presets for skin are very helpful as well as nails and size options, the HUD works really well, I did have to move mine though as it took off my VR Studio HUD and that just won’t do.
When I last went to BP* I just about threw myself at the wall to get the adorable cropped denim jacket, it is so cute, makes you feel all little and stuff. Not only was it perfect to wear with the Jeans version of the Melanie shoes, but the Jules skirt by Maitreya matched in denim so well I was stoked.
I also wanted to wear the jeans texture with something a little dressier, so the vintage dress from Niavi was perfect, I hope Zoe is making lots more clothing, her style is fabulous, and her talent can only get better. This dress is simple and yet perfect for date night.
Whimsy and I went exploring the other day, and I came across Mikan. I haven’t to my knowledge been there before, and the hair is just gorgeous, especially the one in the middle which I couldn’t get enough of, the texture the curls, it has that straight from the surf dried by the sun look about it I love.
All three wonderful styles are from there, and the one on the left which is incredibly striking was only 1L and a gift hair on the floor near the lucky chairs. The latest releases from Fri.day remind me of Canimal and her trip to the UK, when she came back she did a huge punk themed release, and this one totally reminds me of the mod girls of the 80’s.
The pic in the middle should have a blouse but I couldn’t resist the without it look, but still keeping the collar and tie, and how awesome does the Byzantine Cross necklace look poking through the tie, I look like a Catholic Girls Gone wild promoter. The reverie dress has so many options, you get the shirts on their own to wear as shirts, you get the inbuilt shirt with top of dress look for that uniform look, and you get the dress on its own, and it is HOT HOT HOT. The simplicity of it is what makes it so sexy.
Now onto the white Melanies, this is where I ended up stopping only because once I got the middle look; I refused to change from it lol. On the left though we have the Tease dress by Luck Inc, and you only get a tease, because no way will you see the front. It is definitely an exposing dress, I can wish that CK had done a more modest version, but pfft not likely. But I do get to save it for private time :P.
The jumper on the right is a delightful casual look for those that love the Luck Inc style, It is modest enough, but the back cut out still keeps it all sexy, and it is something that can be worn at anytime. Even the sexier stores have to give their customers something to sit on a couch and cuddle in watching tv, cannot always be looking like you cannot wait to tp to the next party.
The middle look is what I will spend the rest of the day in, even though the jeans are cheek flashers, the tank dress totally covers that, and makes the whole look a touch more stylish especially with the new Lucid belt from Fri.day. I love mid torso belts, and this thin one is aces.
The skin I am wearing throughout the post is the latest Elle skin from Belleza. There are twenty make ups on this skin, with hair base and cleavage options. I think that Elle has a style to the face that means you can be playful and youthful, or classy and mature, which is exactly what one wants in a skin line, especially if you do like to play around with lots of looks, but prefer one skin.
Make sure you try all the demos, and if you haven’t done Belleza before try them all not just Elle, because you never know, an older skin may be more to your liking.
I am wearing the latest nails from Exodi, in the silver, which gives you options of embelishments such as glitter, you can buy them as singles ( I couldn’t find a pack ) for only 100L they have three sizes and are MOD MOD MOD so yay for real fitting capabilities.

Purple on Purpose
NEW Skins make me happy. Especially when they have as many great features as these ones, and definitely when they match a preset on fab shoes; without even making any alterations at all.
First off lets talk about ruffles, you know I love me some ruffle panties, but a ruffle skirt as sexy as this one is just a gift from heaven. It has built in panties option or pantyless which is somewhat dangerous with this short a skirt…but it has that low on one side slung hip look I love.
The first pic is my take on that Parisian dancing look, you know the one where the woman gets spun around all over the floor, and the guy is all menacing and such. It all came together with the beautiful hair, hair rose and neckscarf.
The next pic made me giggle at light red, no seriously I giggled and giggled more. Perfect timing for this blend of beautiful grey and light red – giggles again – the top is part of a romper bodysuit, with the slouchy leggings it comes together as a day out shopping look, or if you can bear sweating in such a look, then perfect for Yoga. The fact that the outfit matched the runners so well was another blessing.
These runners are by 2Real who is a newish designer and very good at the sculpties styling, and has a great eye for colour obviously :).
The hair is the latest from Anaphora and I just love the fit and length of this hair, the style has been designed to have enough at the front to not go into your body as much as that kind of style usually does.
The next four styles are all from Exile in the latest textures, they are improvements on the older ones, and some newness too. The hair is so much fun with it’s untamed curls and smoldering sexyness.
The next two pics are using the same dress in different colours, partially and in full. It is the latest sweetheart dress from Fri.day and the way it has been constructed gives you a full leotard/bodysuit underneath which is wonderful for wearing with something as fun as the hip wrap .
This was when I discovered that the preset darker tan on the Kitties Lair hud matched the skin I am wearing perfectly, when you find that it is just such a time saver and makes you do a little dance of happy.
I just love this skin, it even caused me to wear purple on purpose, just to match the eye shadow on this one. The tweed turtleneck style dress is great for wearing as is, as shown in this pic, or you could mix in some lovely jackets or belts.
Lastly in the clothing I have on another fine set from Indyra’s Originals, this set I bought same time as the others but it got missed out on last time around. I love the pink – light red – blouse with the grey pinstripe, it is a colour combo that never fails. It also compliments more of the gorgeous make ups.
The skin is the Yakira skin by UnBra, a new to me skin maker that has such a gorgeous range of skins and even more beautiful make ups. With each make up in this skin you get a regular and push up bra cleavage option, and believe it or not I am wearing the regular lol. You also get a hair base option, which is dark but stunning and very well covered.
The bodies on these skins are just lovely, and the Redux that I am wearing gives you a different breasts option as well as a shinier sheen to the skin. There are three tones and a huge range of make ups, 14 in this skin to be exact, you will see more of them soon.
Make sure you get over there and check out all the demos, because the fat pack is a bargain and the skins are just gorgeous.

blog – Gala plays Cupid
New Skins can brighten up any day, and what is more funna than romantic cupid themed skins for the upcoming Valentines. So I was thinking with that I need some Lingerie, and seeing today is Wing Friendly day I decided to keep burrowing in my folders for some more.
Of course more by Material Squirrel. Over the years I have been lucky enough to gather many different styles from the Material Squirrel range, and it was so lovely revisiting them. I even found some Relay for Life ones circa 2007.
Even the lingerie I have on starts back then too. Aradia would probably be the oldest set in the collection, named after Aradia Diellie of course…and as lovely. Again going through the items from way back when until now, was like a trip down memory lane. Camilla has been creating some of the finest lingerie for so long now it is definitely a staple go to for many older residents.
She hasn’t been creating as much as she used to, but if I she asked what people would recommend she make more of, I would have to say Latex, because WOWZERS does she do an incredible job on it. Seriously the latex collection she released a while back is superb, I just wish there was more of it, even in other colours.
I kept to one colour hair for all the pics in this post, as you can see lol. The Caramel texture by Maitreya is such a lovely soft highlighted brown that it goes superbly with the brows of the Gala/Curio skins.
The latest release that will definitely be out at some stage tonight or tomorrow is Cupid, as I said perfectly in time for Valentines Day coming soon. The make ups as usual are inspired by the name, beautiful and soft in colours that can only compliment the theme. The lips are made for kissing and the eyes are set to entrance, a heady combination all atop the incredibly sexy body we are so used to in the Gala/Curio skins.
I suggest going through your lingerie and wing – kickin it Victoria Secret style – and be prepared in advance for Valentines Day, nothing like giving your partner a little taste of treats to come. My treats today were also in the form of Body Language – Sweet Lovely Cute … Body Language opened up at The Deck today and all the AO’s and Modeling poses are laid out to tease and titillate me. The ones used in the post are a large mix of the poses, shot in a way as to show that it isn’t just about top to toe, but a shoulder and cheek, or a back upper torso can really extend the use of beautiful poses.

Mmmmmm Fruit. That would have to be the one awesome thing about sweltering hot summers, down here the fruit is fabulous. One of my favourite things is the fruitflo machine. They take frozen yoghurt – or icecream – and frozen fruit, such as mangoes and passionfruit and berries, and throw them all into this big drill bit looking machine, and push down to make a swirly fresh fruit medley iced treat.
YUM!, seeing as it is 5am-ish I will have to make do with the fruit alternative that is Berries Inc. Their latest release Mel shirt had me running right over, and then back again later last night. The styles in the store so far are separates and really well made. I not only really like the clothing, but also the actual showroom of a store, and the vendors. A lot of effort has been put in to featuring her goods in a professional and realistic store manner.
I really love that the Mel shirt has buttons on both sides of the opening, as they are more like little decorations than anything practical, because there isn’t a chance on earth that I would ever get that shirt closed. Especially not with the help of Luck Inc.
Those that know Gala Skins know that one of the things I have always loved is the natural fall of the breasts, but it took CK to show us that sometimes a lift or a squidgy chicken tender looking attachment – RL analogy – is a necessity, and created the Enhancers for Gala skins in all tones. So now by just wearing the undershirt layer you can definitely add to your decolletage.
The very mini denim skirts and the gorgeous studded cozy tops are all from Berries Inc, such lovely items, and really well priced. I can see big things coming from this designer, as she is already expanding her skill set by taking classes.
The store that makes those awesome sockystockingleggymathingies on the left had me at hello, I right click bought like a demon. So much fun, with vibrant colours and a fun quirkiness to them.
Did everyone go OMG OMG OMG OMG when they saw Surf Couture’s new hair release, seriously not only did we get the bargain of the century with three of them being 50L each, but they are so gorgeous I had to buy packs of the others as well. The style is so hippie chic, but depending on outfit can take on a whole new look, especially with the help of the texture change hemp band and ribbon tie.
I have always had a thing for dimples, mind you there was this one moment in history when I told a cute guy I loved his, and he told me they were lazy cheek muscles – rolls eyes , seriously what a butthead – I didn’t want to marry them, I was just giving the ego maniac a compliment. So because of that jerk for about 18 minutes I didn’t like dimples much, then I got over it.
Sunny is the latest dimpled delight from Gala, and the soft make ups are as usual just lovely for this not so innocent face. You will be wanting to get up to all sorts of mischief in Sunny, I can see it now…I actually went to school with a girl called Sunny and she was a handful and a half…Queenslanders usually are :P. The worst or in your case best thing is that with those dimples you will get away with it lol.
I am wearing 50L friday shoes by SLink, these are so 80’s tacular, that we spoke about her doing the kitten heel slingbacks with the bow at the toe next, fingers crossed.
New Poses by Diesel Works called Piper *strikes a pose* cute aren’t they? there are more to be seen at the store, and in posts to come I am sure. But don’t wait for me, get on over and try them and everything else for yourself.

blog – I challenge YOU
When you have already done half of the work, why not proceed all the way? That is my thought for this year so far, and nothing could be more obvious in this post for that exact thing. I was piecing together bits and pieces last night, and again finding so much love and attention in older items. I spent the night on my stand while Whimsy was on hers, chattering away…I love when we can do that. Mind you I then took her to see the most incredible sculptures I have ever seen in SL , and I lost her …because she went wandering off to explore with her new pc power :). I am so glad she got a new computer and now gets to enjoy even more of SL.
The first picture is not so old though, newness actually. With a little bit of older around the middle. I was swapping back and forth and trying different things, and ended up keeping on my favourite waist sash. Seeing as the skirt is so sculpted, the sash gives me that comfort zone when changing poses, to lessen the sometimes dug into the waist that can occur…this is more to do with AO’s than poses, because I avoid that.
Thinking that even the highwaisted leggings from Zaara’s would work in the same regard for a lot of things – note to self .
I am all up in that jacket, I grabbed it last night, and adore that it comes with an extension much like a tails coat. Worn on or off the jacket is a beautiful Must Have, with not a touch of fitting required…yay. I was tempted to go with shorter hair, or even an uppydo for this look, but found that I preferred the medium length style so much more, and honestly the softness of it is great.
Then it was time for the absolute showstopper. There is something about new skin and new poses, that really makes me just so excited to blog. Poses definitely, we couldn’t get by without them, and I honestly do not know how we managed earlier on. I remember my first big poses purchase was a set from Digital Dragon Designs, 500L for thirty poses – what a bargain…and I so loved them.
Today I have new poses, and as you can see in the pictures, they are just lovely to work with. Putting the hands just were they need to be for my shape, which is definitely very cool.They are a new release , as is the hair, by fri.day, and both are equally delightful.
The Skin is the about to be released IFe by LeLutka , and as much as I have wowed in the past about Estelle, and Eclat and every other skin since skingloss, this one is just OMG wonderful. The ONLY thing that I would have to say I want different, would be that I wish the beauty marks from Estelle were on this one too, but then if that was the case I wouldn’t be inclined to back and forth, and I am so doing that. The make ups on this skin are from the base to rich beautiful red lips, and a whole lot of details in between.
I will be featuring more of the make ups in the future for sure, and even though they are different and I did have to tint, I just had to wear that hair extension again from the Eclat skins pack. I just had to get my hair out of the way to show off the NEW and so sexy collar by Sissi. As soon as I saw it on release I was intrigued, and then last night when I put this look together I knew it was perfect. So if anyone lagged on the Luck Inc sim for a few moments around 1am ish it was me and my four billion prims tping in and out again lol.
Ok not that many , but let it be known…the skirt alone is around 700 prims, so be very careful of where and what you are attending in it. I checked map before I tpd, the sim was actually empty for the first time ever that I have seen. Do of course go to events in it, just not something like hair fair lol.
Now the outfit itself is all win. It is actually a skirt from a gown by House of Nyla. I have previously shown the full gown, and knew that I wanted that skirt for this shoot, but wanted more of a solid look than the detailed one that comes with. My only obstruction was that the lower portion of the corset like top is actually on the pants layer/glitch pants, so that made it more complicated. But then the saving grace, and after only two tries elsewhere, one being the waist sash from Persona again. I thought LUCK INC does perfect layers. You see the other option even though they had a jacket layer, didn’t extend it, and relied on the pants layer to do that.
That sounds like my theme right, well it actually isn’t but could be lol, if you are extending with a jacket layer, then please actually extend it, because you never know what someone is going to want it for, to put together a look.
Anyway I found perfection in the dress by Luck Inc, it was not only the right layer that went all the way down to where the skirt started, with the glitch pants of the skirt still wearable under. but it was also a perfect shade of black , so that I could actually wear this out and people would think it was made that way.
Now the reason for my thought process was actually this, Luck inc and stores like it have so much talent, and yet stick to one concept because it works so well for them, but CK Winx I am challenging you to challenge yourself…I WANT A LUCK INC GOWN!
