Ain’t no Shoe Pony
So last night Whimsy and I were out and about doing our thing, when we decided that we were going to pick one store, and use the same item in a post. We got so excited that we even went to the store and ran around falling in love with everything all over again. Whimsy fell in love with the displays in the store, and they were/are adorable, but I was so overly impressed by the whole new and improved build – as I had not yet seen it, and it is lovely.
So we ran home and jumped on our VR Studios and decided on the Mete as our shared item from Nyte n Day, I have shown it before as it’s own set, but today decided to take the main piece which is the beautiful tube top and work it in with some other Nyte n Day as well as designs from others. Nyte n Day has an incredible assortment of versatile separates, as well as complete sets, all at incredibly affordable prices. So mixing and matching is a breeze. Now during all of this of course Whimsy crashed hard core, and so much so that she didn’t return, I stood and waited, posing with the DARE poses of awesome but no Whimsy *pouts.
Finally she came back today, and of course while I was head down bum up in Group invites for Hair Fair, she took her pics, and now we are writing at the same time. I am yet to see hers, but know it will be full of win as usual. You can see her post, if you haven’t already, over at Virtually Dressed. The hair I am wearing is Hepburn a new style by LeLutka, how cute is it, such an adorable little ponytail, almost Gidget like as well, the ribbon tie is colour change on click, and a lovely natural look.
The Shoe Fair is still going strong, and another fabulous release at the fair are the Mieke boots by SLink. These riding boots are amazing, the leather work and just overall style is perfect for those that love equestrian pursuits. I know that Justice a good friend has been looking for a true riding boot for a long time, so she will be stoked I am sure. Make sure you gallop on over to shoe fair 🙂

Enjoy the strut
Holy Toledo – wonders if Toledo is more Holy than the rest of the U.S? anywho, so new hair is coming, and I have been chomping at the bit about it for weeks now. I wonder if you can guess who’s hair it is just by looking? and OMG Shoe Fair is just around the corner and right now I should be over there drooling, but I spent so long taking all these pics today, I totally lost track of the time. So much so that I got the dates wrong in my head.
Some not all the shoes in todays post are new, newish and older. First two are newish with the Wonder Shoes by Kalnins, again with just the colours I needed for my post. These give the oppurtunity for all one colour straps or two tone, which works really well. Also included is black, which if memory serves me well I have never used on Kalnins in the past.
I would have to bet that many would agree,that Roslin teaching herself to make clothes in the past year was a much needed thing for our inventories. Especially as she has such a girly girl creative flow, it really does up the prettyness all over. The use of vintagey prints and soft fabrics, her dresses and swimsuits which I really really wish she would turn into a micro mini, are just beautiful, the swimsuit to me would also serve really well as a brushed velvet bodysuit, depending on what you did with it.
Are you in lust with the hair yet? the first three styles are Amanda 1, 2 and 3. If you haven’t guessed already, all of the hair today is LeLutka and about to be released shortly, hopefully tomorrow so you don’t kill me. Thora has been doing a reworking of how she does hair lately and the work has paid off, the styles are soft when needed and perfect for picture taking when the style is created for effect more than motion. That is what has always been so stand out about LeLutka hair, the tendency to lean both ways, working not only for the photographers hiding in us all, but also for those that just want wearable beautiful hair.
At last years Shoe Fair the very first store off the TP point for me was Ana Mations, and the items that jumped right out and grabbed me were the rollerskates. I remember a few familiar faces all piled into the store that night, and I spent the rest of my time rollerskating around.
Now even though Anamations is an animations store, the skates do have their own tricks etc, but I went with the poses from aDORKable, who also have some great poses available at the fair this year. The chance to have such fun again came about because of the recent release of the roller rompers by BOOM. How fantastically 70’s are they, with of course a more modern twist, that being less fabric across the bum lol. Also from BOOM are the very cool tube socks and the rasta coloured sweat bands, to make it even more realistic I should have worn the sweat from Luck Inc, but I am saving that for another time.
This project theomary about to take place is Beach Bash, and BOOM has released the pretty bikini set for the event, not only do you get the string versions but also the halter and fuller bottoms….but wait there is more, you also get all of them available on Tattoo layers. Talk about above and beyond layering wise, and with the new added layers options that is just tooo cool.
If I was playing Family Feud and the question was ‘things you do in a sexy bikini’ I am so sure Hula Hooping would come up. So on that note the recent Hula Hooping Poses by !Bang worked out just right. For this set you get the pose and the prop – hoop – that has a texture change script built in, so that was handy to match up to my kini. Also matchy matchy due to the fabulous minds and scripterroos of SL, the latest Espadrilles by GOS are awesome. I really am happy that not only can you change the colours of the shoes with the menus once you add the new texture pack thing, but you can also change in parts, so rather than go all teal or all sand, I was able to mix and match. Of course espadrilles are a must have for summer, and these ones are fab.
Lastly a little bit mixy matchy with the Luck Inc and BOOM. The bags are great, fantastic texture options, with scripts to change the handles and my favourite part is scripted to change size, now I prefer mod, but if no mod then this is wonderful for bags, because sometimes you want a huge oversized, and other times maybe just a carryon. The hair in this pic is Lake, gorgeous do, and so incredibly spot on if you know the inspriation. A lot of the new LeLutka hairstyles have been inspired by amazing women of the silver screen. Veronica Lake is of course the inspiration for this one, and I think personally Thora nailed it.
The Enya boots by Kookie are the latest release at Shoe Fair, and they are wicked clompy. I almost went stormtrooper with them. But decided to keep going where I was headed as they worked that way too. Next time I will have to kick some bum with them on.
The skin I am wearing is from Sn@tch and for the next few days they are having a huge sale, which includes the gorgeous skins. I had to get the pack of these, and the make ups are just stunning. As you will notice on the right I am a different tone, that is due to Luck Inc’s skin burner. I thought I had seen it all when it came to enhancements but this one takes the cake. Only 1L in the Main store, this is a tattoo layer only and you wear it over your skin and voila new tone. For those that love a darker tone, this is a major bonus, and will probably save people a fortune.

One night in Bangkok
Ok so remember when you were new? when outfits were worn straight out of the box – and yes that still does happen, and I as much as the next person do it, but shhh I am telling a story :P.                                                                                                                                                             But then we grow and adapt, and we start to see things for their pieces as much as the whole story created by the designer. Or even if we don’t break down the pieces, we see more than one or two possibilities emerge. Often that is what blogging is for, to share an idea, to show the possibilities. Even if a design has appeared before your eyes in the past, someone may just captivate you with their way.
That is why many of us blog, I know it is why I do, and I know it is why my friends do. Often time restraints and backed up inventory cause us to show as is, add some accessories and done. It may be more about the skin, or hair, or shoes. So many things can come up, and there are often not enough hours in the day…but try as we may, we want you to see what we see. That spark of interest that made us want to jump up on a pose stand and take numerous shots, crop, splice and dice and then present them however we can, so that you may just be excited with us.
I love those days, the days when an item just sings for attention and is well deserved of it. I love when a release makes me be a better blogger, and want to excel in presentation, there are releases where I know myself I have leveled up as we say, because I have just been so enthusiastic by the items.
I personally think that every single blogger out there does an incredible job, if their motivation is to share, to develop and to enhance not only your inventory lol, but their skillset, then we are lucky and blessed to share their journey. Whether they talk lots like me, or only link and credit…whether they add lyrics or poetry, or each pic has a short summary. All in all we are lucky to have a glimpse into their creative mind, and I treasure that as much as the next person.
Now about my pic, because honestly I didn’t even intend that to go where it went ramble wise, but am glad it did.
The skin actually started it all, it is a newish release by YS & YS and even though I covered up much of the face on the left, it does feature both red or blonde brows and hairbases. The skin is also beautifully freckle adorned, but in a true fair skinned way that is just lovely. The make up on the skins is a feature more of the lips and eye make up, so the skin having freckles is not a hindrance in anyway in that area. The brows are fantastic in the red and blonde, but I am totally boning on the red.
The dress I am wearing is a knockout, not only are the colours and fabric divine, but you actually get both with purchase. The dress comes with bra and panties, and it is an incredibly sexy look, straight out of the box. It does also come with its own pair of fishnets, but I opted for the Allure girdle and stockings from Maitreya, wearing one of the natural pairs rather than true black, to give a softer effect. This is totally the kind of look you can imagine on a working girl in either a smoke filled tavern in france, or some back street opium den in asia. The outfit actually reminded me a lot of the old show China Beach, and Marg Helgenberger, mind you it was the Dana chick every guy I know was totally in lust with.
For the hair I went with a style from I love Olive, for both in fact, and actually had originally planned to wear the one on the right in red for the pic on the left…but then tp’d over and grabbed this Sophie style that totally rocked it. The dress reminded me of a wrap dress, so going with a more mature and dignified look I added some trousers – I love that fri.day calls them trousers – and the cashmere turtleneck from Boom. It brings so many women to mind this look, from the North-shore to Soho and beyond.
Either way you wear it, or whatever spin you put on the dresses or dresses like it yourself, make it the most fun and something that may just inspire you to jump on a pose-stand of your own and take pics – don’t forget to share them though :).

Lifts and Seperates
Back to the 70’s is what it feels like for this post, and I LOVE THESE JEANS!
Kianna has been a busy bee over at LeLutka, crochet and highwaisted flares, OMG the love. The Crochet bodysuit is just fabulous, whether worn casually with the new skirts also from LeLutka, or dressed up with a stunning shoulder shrug by BOOM and a long skirt, it all works. Now the other night I ran over to Le.Look to grab some info on something, and stumbled across I love Olive, new to me hair, which kind of boggles my mind a bit, but I have been way busy lately, so would have missed it had it rezzed on my head on it’s own.
The Doris style is the perfect 1920’s do reworked into a modern look, so incredibly elegant in the right setting, or again can totally work the cute.
Speaking of perfect, OMG THESE JEANS, the perfect high waisted yummyness ever, they accentuate and lift the bum to its absolute glory, these are the jeans your Mummy had in the 70’s or at least mine did. They elongate the legs and are just so well put together I love love love them. I got some great long straight hair from Zero Style. Showing off also the lovely new tops by LeLutka with and without the sculpted part, I love the stripes of these, and just the comfy one shoulder look, kind of like you shredded up and old fav sweatshirt.
Also worn are the cute strapless bra’s from Epoque, part of the stumblebum release for the week, they have matching highwaist undies and are a steal, so be sure to grab those asap.

Purple shades of Grey
Honestly if it wasn’t for the generosity of the designers that send fat packs to be blogged, I would have a hard time doing this so called punishment purple week. But luckily they realise that we can go back to an item long after originally being posted, and feature a colour we may not have shown the first, second or third time, nothing like that added exposure to your brand lol.
It is also the easiest way to send stuff ….right click take copy of the vendor and send, easy done, no need to make up folders and stuff …I don’t know how people keep all that stuff straight sometimes. It is also wicked for making back ups of your vendors as singles for customer care and sending to an alt, but me and my belief on all designers sending everything they make to alts is a whole different post.
It is fun revisiting older items, especially as it is something I enjoy doing often, showing older things so they can become new to someone. Such is the case of the top in the first pic, and the bottoms in the second. With some newness thrown into the mix.
The pencil skirt by CoCo is new, and wow on the fabulous shading on the system portion…system skirts aren’t easy, and we are lucky to have some incredible designers who appreciate them, so they do them well. Purple and Grey go so well together, it is actually purple that I think does such beautiful colour contrasts, think Purple and Yellow, Purple and Pinks. It also gave me a chance to wear the lovely Ganked jewelry set – see I do buy purpley things – and these very cool new Homespun glasses, very cool shape and texture change options for frames and lenses.
Ok it’s a bit nuts, I am still awake and of course seeing everyone from your yesterday again already after they have slept, even though it is still my today, which is now your today, but was your tomorrow a few hours ago :P.
Ok so what was I saying ? oh yeah….the second combo again using grey and purple, is actually part of a set up top, from Crazy – fun store that one – and the bottoms are from BOOM, which I so neat because I was only thinking about BOOM earlier today and up they popped when I searched purple.
I did some tinting – YAY FOR MOD – with the beads and the armwarmers. The hair didn’t need it as the fabulously floppy bow in the Dorothy hair by Magika actually had a perfect plum in the texture change menu.
I am wearing the new skin by LP Designs, these skins have a cleavage that is made for a much larger bust than mine, but with the right outfits you can totally work it. I really enjoyed the fun purple make ups on both of these skins. There are actually three in the release , in two tones each and a handful of lovely make ups. DEMOS DEMOS DEMOS and especially if you like a skin that enhances your bust , these ones certainly do that and more.

Romper Domper Doo
Sales are always fun, and even better when you have been meaning to go over and get your fix for ages and haven’t had a chance. The other things that are too much fun, are new AO’s . The other day I got one, and was attending a meeting and just giggling myself silly, while I bent and stretched and seriously exhausted my avatar and others watching me.
The new AO is one of two recently released by Body Language. Romp is a definite no standing still styled AO. It has so much movement, and most of it is fitness like in nature. What better way to show off the new shorts by Boom I thought, so that was my first play today…also handy that I got fab new visors from Cobrahive this week. They are the store having a huge 50% off sale at the moment, and if you haven’t indulged you need to. Unisexy content for the win, so you can take a group of friends over and have a shopping party.
Also new and a definite throwback to the 80’s are the sneakers by Anexx, these are reebokesque for sure. Everything about them is fun, the fringe on the sides, the beaded ends to the hang down parts, and the three different options, plain, paisley or rose print on the sides to these adorable hightops.
Even MORE 80’s are the Denim Boots also by Anezz, wow talk about flashbacks, these were so popular back then. One of my best had a pair a bit lower and looser than these, and the funniest part about the jeans like boots was the pocket replica portion actually worked as a pocket, so storing your ID and such for the night was totally taken care of.
The Riddle dress and coat combos are not only stylin for colder days, and yeah down here we are moving into that territory, but the coat itself is a separate wearable that will come in handy for so many different looks. Riddle does such lovely dresses that you could probably interchange the coat with other styles such as a big favourite their argyle ones.
The Cozy Scarves are just too divine. Buttoned or unbuttoned this accessory is fantastic. You could ad so much to an item with this, totally changing the overall look of a garment. I decided to wear them with the gorgeous Rhia dresses that for me are so original Star Trek looking.
The style is simple and just the right type of contrast, with Milla taking into consideration not only all layers , but sizes as well, with the premade prims portions in size options as well as mod. Pairing them up with her Pia leggings, aren’t the cutouts just adorable, I really hope she didn’t do those cutouts one box at a time, because we need her eyes to stay clear and focused for lots more beautiful releases to come.
I stress so much about how long it can take me to get to a release, but sometimes it is a bonus that I did, with the buttoned look of the scarves, and the two tone look of the dresses working so well with the Pursay boots buttoned version by Perse. I cheated a bit here though and went with the Sasy Chic shoes in the noir for the second look, because I could and I did .
I had to wear the eyewrap for this look first off, because wasn’t there always some sinister chick in Star Trek that appeared a goody and then wasn’t, and they for some reason are always missing eyes, or a hand or something peculiar like that – or maybe I am just mixing all my baddies together lol – regardless it is another item from Cobrahive that is just fab.
The Faded tunics by Doppelganger have that at first male oversized shirt look to them, and honestly when is that ever a bad thing. I was watching Greek the other night and apparently it’s a big turn on for men to see women in their stuff – ok it was more about dress shirts but shhhh – what I really liked was that all the colours went so well with the snowdrift boots by Kalnins. Even though I very very much would love more colour options in these boots, the ones preset into the hud worked so well for these.
Adding the big waist belts to cinch the look together, I am all ready for a day or night out with my snuggled footsies.
All of the hair I am wearing for this post is by HCT, I was a bit upset in convo the other day to hear that someone thought that Babyboo hadn’t been making hair. She has been in and out of SL of late, but she does as much as she can when she is here, and regardless of new or old her styles are still so lovely.
Also lovely are the Charlotte skins by Dernier Cri, the make up range is fun and interestingly named, and I just love the body detailing, so when looking all fit for the shorts they were an easy choice.

Wow so I had all of this waiting to publish on friday your time, and I was so ahead of myself that I went to catch up on some sleep. Five days later I am back, yay for internet outtages, I seriously was losing my mind, there is so much that we take for granted with our computers, I thought oh well at least I can do some other work, but everything I have is bundled up online, it was true torture.
Since I was gone though Cajsa Lilliehook a fabulous blogger, and an incredibly warm and passionate woman did a bloggers challenge and included me as part of it, I am so proud and so honored to have someone that I admire write such beautiful things about me. I was over thinking SL while I was absent, and overwhelmed on my return, five days and many many pages of offlines in email can do that. But to come back to something so lovely, I will cherish it, thank you Cajsa <3.
When you have your bestest friends, it never matters about having the same things. It can happen so randomly too, even without shopping together. One of my bestest friends and I went to different highschools, but of course school formal was around the same time – that’s your prom – I went shopping with my Mum hours away from where we lived, and she went shopping with her dad in town. Yet even with all that working against us, we ended up with the same gowns, mine black hers baby pink.
Growing up into young adulthood, it was never an issue, with my friends and I , we shopped together, got ready together, went home after a night out together – unless of course we ‘got’ together with other friends 😛 – and totally mixed and matched each others wardrobes…buying same thing in different colours just meant you were expanding your own wardrobe right?
Anyway I could totally see me and my bestest out on a friday night, going to some club in these dresses and having nada issues with it, because everyone looks at the shoes first right ? – that’s what my Mum always says, and it has proved true very often. I am wearing the New LeLutka hair, three new styles for everyday and night wear, something soft and slightly flexi, enough to have you wanting to make at the very least one of them your go to hair.
The skin I have on is the latest release from Amacci. Felicia is beautiful and again something you can all wear, so much so Whimsy, Ashia and I were all admiring it the other day. It has beautiful body work, with the most adorable snub nose. I especially like the lipstick as it has that worn look to it, more like you have been wearing it for a little longer than just freshly applied.

As soon as I saw the items I am showing today, I knew that they were going to compliment eachother so well. Feeling very earthy, and natural these combination’s allow you to feel free and fresh. MInd you right now I am not feeling free or fresh. Mel has just informed me that it takes me roughly on average 1.5 minutes a log in – due to my inventory – which comes to about 60 hours a year *fans self*.
I saw the first dress on Tori over at BareRose and it was instant love. But I also knew that it was the separate pieces that I would have plenty of fun with…and at triple the price it is so worth it for that belt. The belt does NOT come on its own, you will have to edit it from the skirt…as it is not copy I had to trash one of the colours I could do without. Even if you don’t want to do that, you could always buy a second set and do it to the copies. It really is easy, and such a bargain.
I had to show how versatile it can be, wearing it with a stunning top which was one of my first purchases from Boom when they had a tiny store …I had so much fun shopping there that night with Newdolly, I still remember it <3.
The second dress was also adored from up high, by this stage I was hovering with Tori in the store. I knew that the two dresses were not only something beautiful and easy to add to, but that I would love to have them easily on hand. Whimsy was of the same reaction, informing me that last summer she spent every other day in her Summer Goddess dress
The dress comes with its own necklace of a very unhappy looking sun lol, but I opted for some beautiful jewelry by Dark Mouse, where the design was very similar.
Now about the beautiful skins, as I said the items today for me were very harmonious with each other. As in the past, the skins by Dernier Cri creator have a youthful exuberance to them. I really enjoy their character filled faces, looking all sexy and yet innocent all at the same time. While you could in fact dress up to the nines with this skin on, it really is an everyday all day skin. For those that don’t want that constant made up look it definitely hits the target.
I went hair shopping at Analog Dog earlier today, and picked up this gorgeous style called Lemon. I was a bit surprised to see how her hair packs are now structured, goes to show that I haven’t been there often enough I guess.

I love those days, when you start the day off just like any normal day, but then it takes so many dips and turns and becomes a day of blessings and pure joy. I am a hair addict, I am…truly. There are days when I could just sit in a corner and cry because I don’t get a good enough fix. No matter how many hairstyles I buy, there can be times none of them quench that burning desire for ‘The One” and believe me, I am not that picky, so I have had thousands of ‘Ones” in my time in Second Life.
Hell the first time I ever went to Magika, I walked out a few hours later with 19 ‘The Ones”. Those are the fun days, the days when you can hit the motherload, and every style you put on is just scrumptious, you think you will never ever take it off, until the next ‘the one’ that is two vendors over on the right lol.
Todays though was in the form of the 50L Friday style, I have to admit that I had looked at this style in the past and it hadn’t really hit home for me, but I had never actually demo’d it, don’t know why though as I did think I had tried all of them in the store. Today though I considered my 50L purchase my demo, and WOW I couldn’t love it more, at least every 30 mins for a few hours I mentioned how much I loved it, how much I needed it in other colours, and wondered if it was just that texture combo I loved and would it carry over if I got greedy.
Well I did get greedy, and it did carry over, aren’t you as relieved as I am . Always a hat/hair addict as well, this style is just fantabulous. Everything about Clawtooth by Clawtooth hair has that effect on me though, it is Lady hair. If you are one, or aspire to being one, Bubbles can make you feel like a true woman of a time when Men were Men and Women were Ladies. When the way you turned your head and exposed a sliver of neck could send a man wild. A time when the only make up decisions you needed to make, were which red your lipstick would be that day, and how many coats of mascara was enough.
Ok I am not that old, but I can dream. I grew up in the 70’s so all of our saturday movies were Doris Day, Dean Martin and Rock Hudson type films, Marilyn Monroe and James Dean…what a time to live. It is those times when getting ready to go out could take the better part of a full day, because primping and pampering your self was well deserved…ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Did I mention I LOVE HAIR.
Moving on to other loves, snuggly loves that is. The First pic – technically the second – is featuring a few items of snugglyness. First The Cashmere sweaters that come on every layer possible, and are fantastic for layered looks. The turtleneck style is lovely, and so graceful with the pants that are just newly released today.
I cheated a bit with the two tone sweater look you see under the jacket, that is actually a nipply crop top, layered over The Cashmere sweater, see how fun layers make life. The Nordic Knit Coat is so many degrees of snuggly. This knit in itself is a MUST HAVE, it is so traditional for this time of year, and stands out as something that those of us that don’t get the weather for them, pine for. I love that you can wear it as a cropped jacket, or it’s full length, and the swing design of it, allows for all sorts of sizes within it’s snuggly folds.
Another era inspired item is Hounds-tooth, the print itself is very old, and in Australia, synonymous with style and high end spending. Recently I had the pleasure of sitting in on a Fabulous Fashion taping, and the designer behind the Musashi Do brand was its guest. Shiryu explained how he always makes his own prints and textiles for his creations, and with hounds-tooth that is a very detailed task. Well he came out the other side very well, and the jacket he has created with this print is just lovely.
The long trench coat style has a fitted flat or more flared coat bottom, a stunning contrast lapel, and cuffs that allow for cuffs to your undershirts to sit neatly under. All of the coat has been created beautifully to wear as a finished look, and it does have such a wonderful finish to it.
The Elsa boots are another item that I instantly fell for, the style of boot is definitely something I love the looks of, the front of the boots are just that comfortable boot you hope never wear out, with the upper portion being a legwarmer type look that is texture change on click, the added peak of a banana heel has them right up there with my favourites for the Footwear Expo.

Sometimes you can find a piece of clothing, that has been constructed to not wear as it’s own item only, but definitely as an enhancement piece for many…allowing you to merge different pieces, and even different designers together.
One such piece that evokes that for me, is the Mia Corset pants by LeeZu. This corset under the bust style, that flares out into a ruffled shorts romper look is just fabulous, and even better is the high side slits, keeping it sexy and alluring.
I teamed it up with an equally sexy dress from BOOM that allowed me; due to it being mod, to shorten it enough that it didn’t show through the slits on the side of the pants.
I am also wearing the fantastic NEW La Vivien boots from Courtisane , these come in a lovely range of colours and feature the lovely work of both Enktan Gully and LeeZu Baxter. The boots are a slouched ankle boot look, with detailing in both the texture and addition of floral embelishment. With boots tucked in, or your favourite dress or skirt, they will come up a treat all year.
Another treat is the Amanda skin from Adam n Eve, more make ups that previously released. The skin as stated in the past definitely has a Eurasian feel to it dependent on your shape. Four beautiful skin tones, and as usual so many amazing options, now with breast enhancement, and hair bases, different lashes, and manicure/pedicures as extras ; as well as freckles, seriously one make up comes with a bazillion pieces.
Recently with the launch of What’s New SL Adam n Eve sent the incredibly hot leather pants and bra set to the group, it is hot hot hot, so I had to wear it to show off the skins, and it didn’t hurt the breast enhancements too much.
