Candy Candy Candy I can’t let you go
I remember when I was a teen flapping at an all floral outfit my mum was about to wear out. Mind you when I was that age I only ever wore black. But the flapping was more to do with the fact that the outfit was neck to wrist, and then to ankle floral. It was so bad, there were all sorts of whiney noises made about it, so she did end up changing. It wasn’t the print that was the problem, it was HOW MUCH print. It was also a full skirt, so yeah way too much. I convinced her to do a full skirt in solid and then the top, or vice versa, but not both together, and that is how she ended up working that outfit from then on.
The funniest part of that memory is that my fashion sense comes from her, but that day I think she lost her marbles…that and the fact that it was the 80’s and fashion for the 40 somethings then, was a little hit and miss. This floral print if that large and long would need to be broken up as well, but as it is a mini, the bright colours and fun style, make it perfect for summer lunches and fun days in the sun.
I got to have fun with this floral mini by DeLa because it is mod, and had enough attachments to make it really workable with other things. The top pic, plus the sleeves of the second pic are the total outfit. But shown three different ways in the pics, and the last I took an undershirt layer and shortened the top enough to make a bustier type top with just one of the attachments. As the top comes on all layers, and is copy, this was a breeze and doesn’t effect the overall outfit at all. It is great to get so many options out of one outfit, and as the colours available are so flexible, you are not starved for choice.
Also new by DeLa is the beautiful folded leather DuDu clutch. This clutch is totally the type of purse/wallet that I would use all year round, the multiple zips on the outside just make it so realistic looking, and the purse comes with attachments for either hand. I did move that to forearm so that I could still wear my nails by Page 3. Addictia to my delight released more of the Tropica Flip Flops (THONGS) in neutral colours that make them easier to mix and match with other clothing. The HUD is so easy to use, and colour matching to skin is a breeze. I love how you can also wear them only as feet with or without the anklets, all in one is a definite win with these.
The hair I am featuring in all the pics today is from Exile, recently I was lucky to spend some one on one time with Kavar interviewing him for TOO Sexy magazine. The styles he has been producing lately are just getting harder and harder to take off, the three today are just gorgeous and April the last one is still on my head because it is HOT HOT HOT.
PXL just released the latest skin Candy, it comes in 5 different tones, only one shown here today – more to come – there are 3 brow options and a great range of lips and eye shadows, all with freckles and cleavage on clothing or tattoo layers. I am so glad also that PXL eventually went shaved, as that skirt in the 3rd pic is so low at the front it would be a huge Fashion Don’t otherwise lol. DEMO DEMO DEMO Candy, she is a lovely skin.

Some things are worth staying up for…
Some things are worth staying awake for 😉
A long time ago, it seems like a thousand years, SLink released some incredible latex. So inspired by it, and my new sinewave dance pole (that’s how long ago it was, that thing was new lol ) I even made a movie featuring it. I have been begging, pleading, and chucking a tanty in Siddeans IM box ever since for more latex. She even teased me once with some pants, that were “yet to be finished”.
Finally all the waiting and mewing noises has paid off, because Vixen is here, the latest latex delights from SLink. I wanted to try out different shots for this release, as well as play with new and not so new hair. Hair Fair preps take me all over, and I end up shopping. Today I ended up at BC322 and got these wicked dreads which come in three versions, so fun. The second is a new release from Exile called deanna, and the Third not new style was recently in this colour a pack item from BooN at the dressing room. What I love about this hair – I have shown it before in another colour – is that with the hair base on the Caroline Tan skin by YS & YS it actually looks like a wig, which with it’s blue black colouring is way too cool an effect.
The almost Geisha style is from The Obscene, which made me giggle. Mel and I were watching some awful movie called Robo Geisha the other night, and this hair is so pretty that it reminded me that the only good thing in that whole film was the hair lol. The last hair is a stumblebum hair from Clawtooth, it says with bangs so maybe the without bangs is available all the time, either way it is so pretty.
The shine on this latex is incredible, you really need to appreciate how hard it is to get good latex in SL to understand this is SUPERB Latex. Now not only is their latex in the Vixen Latex but the catsuit comes with built in boots and/or feet. That means that via hud you can wear them as incredibly high heels, with a fabulous heel, or you can click the hud to remove shoe and the sculpted latex covered foot is left behind, which even though on pointe is a wonderful option.
The skin I have on is Caroline, the latest by YS & YS , blonde or brunette brow and hair base options, with breast enhancements. The skin comes with a huge amount of make up choices and is a great blend of casual to dressy, with a soft demure look when needed, or a sultry and sexy look. DEMO DEMO DEMO all skins always.
All the poses used are actually animations from IMagz previously of rQ. Using the slow animations feature in advanced> character> Slow animations, it makes it easier to capture the essence inside of an animation. The first one of course was perfect for wings so I went with some delightful mini angel wings from Material Squirrel, which has fantastic wings.

Got nothing on us
I went to a party to wrap up the Summer Festival at Tableau with Whimsy tonight. The whole Tableau team were there, giggling up a storm on voice. The winner of their store for 30days contest was Radio Signals who is an incredible content creator as well as RL artist. So I am so glad she won. I recently bought some of her art work to hang at home, and it looks fab. If you haven’t been by her gallery next door to Scribble, you should definitely check it out.
I was feeling so festive after the do, that I just felt all bubbly and coloured hair worthy. It is funny how for granted we take the coloured hair packs being available in some stores, what if one day they weren’t there? I know that tips come and go, but sometimes and more often than would be considered normal, you just need coloured hair. Exile has such lovely candy floss like colours, that I decided to go with both in the Candace style. Also to add a bit of flavor to the Jeans and tank from Indyra Originals. These jeans are standout fab with the detailing on the waistband.
The next two pics feature dresses by Vesna, the first one has that large scoop and as soon as I put it on I wanted to fill it, and knew exactly how. Thanks to incredible options, and both items having all layers available, I was able to wear the shirt and tie only from a dress from Fri.day, and create a new look. A mini mobstress look, what with the Fedora hat/hair also from Fri.day. The burnt orange just got some killer bling from Royal Blue and I am ready for a night of dancing. But as I already did that tonight, on with the next one lol.
The new hairstyles from Amacci are incredibly soft and fluttery, framing the face beautifully. How Carina made these styles is just incredible, as most of the hair is a small group of strands all placed strategically to form a style. Lots of prim work in these styles so don’t be wearing them to any high lag events, but don’t hesitate in buying them all because they are just gorgeous. The last two looks had me a bit rock and roll tonight, which is a total contrast to earlier this evening when I was all frocked up.
The skin I am wearing is another New skin from YS & YS and will be released at Fashion Fest. Marilu comes in a neutral tone like the one I am wearing in these pics, as well as a pale I will show at a later date. There are a lovely range of make ups, as well as numerous options. Two hair bases, and cleavage options as well. So each one has 8 options as well as a bun hair attachment if you want to go with the hair base extra tight look, and it is so much fun to cruise around that way sometimes.

Fan Flair
Usually I end with the bikini’s, don’t know how I ended up in reverse order this time, but seems to be the route I have been taking all week. Maybe I needed a tan first, who knows.
The kini from Cynful, as are all the clothing pieces today, actually gives two bottoms options. The string bikini or boyshorts look. Now while the boyshorts would be more preferable for those not wanting to reveal too much, we are talking Cynful here, so of course they have as much on display as they could lol. Luckily the Jade skin by TULI has the perfect derriere for such a display. The hair I am wearing is from Magika, and the style with the over the shoulder look, is perfect for swimwear, neat and pulled back, and then out of the way so you can get that all over back tan.
While I really like the pulled back and behind the ear look of the first one, the rockabilly sprayed with more product than should ever be allowed upswept bangs look of the next one is all love. The overalls all in one look on the left is great, easy to wear, add some jewelry, in this case from Ala Mood and you are off for a night out. Cynful does a lot of great denim, and these capris are fun too. Totally giving me the chance to show off my new thongs, these are from Addictia. They call them flip flops, I call them thongs. They are an all in one fake feet system. As you can see from the top pic you can choose to wear with the thongs or without, then also with beads and flowers or without.
Now these come in only three colour choices, pink, blue, or purple. Personally I would love to see white available, as it would go with more, as well as the ability to chose with or without the flower, because sometimes you just want beads. Maybe one day those options will come, there are also plug ins available for nail polishes and tattoos you can buy separate, for me it was all about the all in one. The other thing is that the big toe is big, and for me, I have a size ten foot RL, so delicate feet are more alien to me, so it was not a deal breaker, but there are demos, so be sure you look at them closely, so that you know you can live with it.
The other Jewelry I am wearing in the second pic, is also from AlaMood Boutique, it also matched perfectly to the dottsie top I am wearing, so cute and fun to wear. Lastly in Exile hair this time, these fab pigtail do’s are so fun, the pixie bangs on the left are still a fast favourite, I cannot get enough of the styles being created with those. The soft curls of the second look make you just crave to see it down. Very very short is the theme for the skirts in this pic, I am torn between the highwaist and the mini, as both have their pluses. The tops are a new sculpted fit top, easy enough to resize if needed, and a easy throw on wear.
The jewelry in this pic is from Gangked, incredibly over the top pieces that are fun to wear, and have very telling names, the one on the right had me awwwing and sad at the thought of it. Mercy heels by Orange Creations come in so many fab colours, that it was easy to match a pair to each look, and the skin tinting is a breeze with so many presets to choose from.

HAPPY AUSSIE TIME BIRTHDAY SOFIA GRAY!
Ok so the big news for today would have to be that Emerald has finally done the alpha and tattoo layers. But way cooler is that they tell you in chat the music playing on the stream at the sim you are at…yay for me actually knowing who is playing what now – I have always been so musically blase, I am excited now.
Tuli is about to release the NEW Jade skin, a rework of previous skins with the benefit of three eyebrow colours and three breast shading options. The make ups are as usual suitable for all day and night activities, with some really fun ones for good measure.
Wanting to show the tones, I chose to use the newish Ring pose set from aDORKable, how awesome is that, it has the exact number of poses I needed too. It reminds me so much if vintage christmas cards or calendars, that I had to go ruffle bottom swimsuit with it, sporting the fab one piece by Surf Co. In that and the next pic I am wearing NEW Hair by HCT, I love these two new styles, Boo does fabulous overteased do’s her older Amy inspired style is still a solid favourite, so if these looks are your usual cup of cocoa make sure you spin by for the demos.
Stellar has released a wrap dress that has a definite dinner party or cocktail hour look going on, with a sculpted skirt and sash this is an easy choice for evening wear. Because the skirt is sculpted it would not be a swishy dancing dress, but it is short enough in length to still move enough with the body. For parties and what not it is fabulous, and I really like the colour choices Lexi went with, there are four to choose from.
I am wearing the gorgeous NEW Jewelry by Essentia, the Montana Feather set is all prims, and incredible work, the way the prims are manipulated to make such incredibly delicate feather pieces is a skill and a half, no alpha tricks etc. It has that perfect blend of Turquoise, Feathers and Leather that I love.
Have you all been to FAKE lately? If not then you need to go, and check out all the great creations by Dream, not only are the FAKE items just fantastic fun and really great to wear, but if you walk up the hill you will find the other store Fantasia and want to buy everything up there too.
The Snoody top is so pretty with its pearl and bow detailing along the neckline, fun to wear with a mini and boots as I have, or pants. This and the next pic are showing the New Lamb hairs, Lost and Found *snickers* I am so glad to see Lamb has gone back to styles like this, as her ponytails are always superb.
For the nautical lovers out there, 5th & Oxford have just released their Seaside collection, the system skirt lovers will be joyful, I have always been a huge fan of the red, white and blue sailor look, and the highwaisted skirts and shorts (not shown) with striped halters in this collection just make all that possible.
Lastly I have on an older set by Twisted and Spoiled which is one of those fabulous all in one stores. They do hair as well as clothing, and nearly all the clothing comes with accessories and often also shoes, as is the case in this combo. How cute are those pants, I always had a thing for cargo pants and suspenders as a teen, I never actually got my perfect pair, but these would be close for sure.
Loving the New styles from Exile, this hair is just so fun, the bangs and messy effect of the high side pony are all win…MORE MORE MORE please Mr Kavar.

I had some of those, all things coming together kind of days yesterday and today.You know the ones, where everything you are doing just works, and things that get added to the mix just slot in perfectly.
SLink released the boot version of the Mikaela, and I had way too much fun with them…I also have been informed that in a few weeks there will be updates to the shoes version, so stay tuned for that. The fun thing is that while they look great with the skin, so that it is like strips of leather, crafted into these fab boots, if you use the stocking option and darken a lot in whatever colour you like, you can create a two tone boot effect.
The first look was so much fun, I took a dress from So many styles, added the belt from Fri.day just to add some black, but also just because I liked the effect – I did have to change the attachment point to the skirt for this to work though. The new Amacci hair was perfect for my Princess Angel Fashionista look lol, I really like the loose long wavey style to this hair, and Amacci’s new textures are fab.
The rest of the clothing is mainly from Goth1c0 which is a store I have loved for years now, it all started with Meko actually, he had an outfit from there way back in 07 that he wore all the time. Keishii goes quiet for some time and then comes back strong, and lately the designs coming from him are just YUM with the sexyness.
First off the corset sets, which worked perfectly with my Devil contrast lol, who knew I had latex horns in my inventory. Because the corsetry is on all layers you can totally wear some cute shorts or a skirt underneath for a layered wearable look. The next oufit is a mix of Goth1c0 and Sn@tch, the new finance blouse was perfect to wear over the bra top of the Sticky and Sweet set, how hot is that girdle skirt with proper panels and sheerness, you could even wear a longer top under it for a more all in one look. This would be my come hither student teacher look lol, the glasses and the New hair from Exile totally work that.
Lastly we have Milicia, a stunning military inspired dress, a little revealing up top, but if you wear a higher bra maybe, or if you don’t care then WOOOT. It even has a more than more revealing option too. I knew before I even logged on what hair I would wear with it, as they are a perfect match to eachother.
I am wearing the recent LOLA skin release by LeLutka, the make up options are huge, and the skin is just so delicate and pretty, with the first part of the Summer Collection JUST RELEASED! I am excited to see what outfits people will be sporting. The summer collection will come out in three parts, so mark your calenders 27th and 2nd will be the next two releases.

I was feeling chocolatey tonight, has to do with having a headache probably…when all else fails crave something that will make it worse lol.
A few weeks ago G’field sent out some boots as a group gift, they were so pretty I had to go and grab some more, in wearable for me colours. I really like how they set up their shoes/boots, in mini packs of tones that work together at a saving, as well as being able to get in singles or a megapack. These are so lovely with everyday fashion, but have that total steampunk Victorian look down pat, that if you tend to go for theme dressing, they will come in handy for sure.
Some newness and older pieces mixed together. The League Thermal collection has been added to recently, and if you didn’t give it a go the first time, you should so totally go back and rethink it. The textures on these pieces are just so snuggly, and the skirts and tops mix so well together with other pieces, as shown here with the new Early morning cardigans by Fishy Strawberry. The cardigans come with or without shirt underneath in black, but I went for both with and without but with the added turtleneck in cashmere by BOOM.
The billy denim shorts are another new item from FS and they do come with a belt, but I opted for without this time around. The great thing about the belt though is that it comes in scripted or MOD versions which is just awesome.
I am a big fan of the clothing pallette of Miel, the colours they stick too work so well when blending their own items together, which just work so beautifully… but then you can also intersperse them with other items from elsewhere along the same spectrum. Such was the case with the newish Urbanity Camo high waisted skirt. The top from the Tulip set of Miels went so well with the Camo skirt I was very happy with the blend.
make the most of the cooler days, because everyone is going to be cranky with the heat, and all of us down here are going to be freezing in the cold, and yeah yeah it doesn’t get that cold according to you lot down here, but it doesn’t mean we don’t suffer and complain :p.

I had an amazing morning, I got to talk to some lovely people, and then went on a journey to a very sparse but thought provoking sim. Bryn Oh’s art is on display and I have no idea whether or not it is a finished area, or there is more to come, but either way I was intrigued by it, Thora even came and checked it out with me once I sent her this pic I took. Then it was off and home to take some pics, the first one being a recent release from Nyte n Day, this set is a great staple, you can either wear it as is in its forms, or add lots to it using it as a base, I really like that, and know that using the separate pieces will come in handy in the future.
I am wearing the Shirelle hair by Exile, I am so in love with this hair, it was an instant hit with me, and I ended up chatting with Kavar about it in IM, seems we both have Mums that wore the same style do back in the 60’s. I have pics somewhere of mine with big panda eye make up and platinum hair, so white that I am amazed she still has some.
Cute and vintagey are the Judy heels by Ingenue, with their solid heels and bow fronts they are perfect for many looks. I like that Ingenue has branched off into shoes, making it easier to find footwear for her style of clothing.
Second up we have the beautiful cocktail dress from Page 3, a new to me store that has an incredible range of just about everything…talk about your multi talented designer. Not only clothing and accessories but furniture too, you will also find the fabulous Nails and rings I have on in this post. The nails come with beautiful jewelry, and a hud that allows for silver or gold and different nail colours and french polishes, all very reasonably priced.
This dress has a short and longer version of the skirt, not too long though, definitely a cocktail frock this one, the style is very Audrey Hepburn but I went with a looser hairstyle, and the added Jewelry also from Page 3.
The last pic is a mish mash, combining Nyte n Day with Page 3 and a little bit of DeLa too. The latest styles from Exile are so win, I was finding it really hard to take off one to put on another, and then would fall for the new one just as hard. The collared halter dress is so cute, all I needed was a tennis racket and I would be off to the club, you can wear without the collar also if that is not your thing, and it works so well with either, the sunglasses are also from Page 3 and have many different options in a handy drop down menu, easy to use and perfect to wear.
The Yoga style set from Nyte n Day is so comfy to wear, the pants are great, I have slipped them on a few times in the past week…the top has some nice prim finishes, and layers options, and I would totally have that amazing scene hair if I was doing Yoga at the time I took these pics.

Fore score and twenty yards to go
The first thing he said (Mel) was ” You’re playing golf in heels?” my response was ‘Of course’ I mean seriously how else would one play golf? I recently went to the Modiva Fashion show and wanted to rip this first outfit right off the model, I even said so out loud.
The Farah outfit from DCNY is just wonderful, with it’s old time charm and current style, it is just a beautiful combination of colour and print. I especially like that I can take apart the pieces and wear them independently of each other, those gaucho pants are going to get lots of wear, and the socks for sure.
Perfect shoes for this combination for me are the high oxfords by Tesla, she is back by the way, and I cannot wait to see what she has brought back with her.I am wearing the Time gone by necklace again by Glow Studios knowing as soon as I put this outfit on that it was a must… the pocket watch look is just beautiful and if you have been looking for something like it make sure to check it out.
Wearing other lovely pieces from DCNY this time mixing and matching with the newness from Maitreya, the combinations in the colours are so easy, and the shoes and socks options just all worked so well together. The Raine shorts and leggings are so cute, and again can be worn separately of each other. The leggings even have sculpted ends – not worn – for a more ruched look, and the skater knee pads that are part of the texture are so cute, not that I will be doing any rollerskating or skateboarding in this outfit, it is too cute to sweat in.
The Camden jackets are another gorgeous new item from Maitreya, and the colours, texture and style are so perfect for the up coming weather. Light enough for spring summer, and adorable enough for not so freezing wintery days I am soon to have…hopefully not so freezing this year *prays. That is why I had to check with the lovely sweater from DCNY and look how well it fit underneath *chuckles.
That and the vintage bra from Maitreya, that goes so well with the Allure with Socks shoes, these are sooo cute, I love all three of the styles available in this release, each have their own charm, todays charm is all about the ankle socks and the textures they come in are yum.
The hair I am wearing in the second shot is by Exile, it is a new style called Carly and originally came with a rainbow like texture on the headband, yay for mod copy hair, because I totally copied it and changed the texture to one more in keeping with my look, and still have the rainbow for more colourful days.
Rocking it out with the Amacci Giselle skin again, I really like the pixie look it gives my shape, I am starting to think I might have to dig out the elf ears I have stashed away somewhere and give it a whole whirl lol. Until then though make sure you DEMO DEMO DEMO.

Framed I tell you
The other day while out shopping I was perusing some of the older items in a store…realising that it had been a while since I not only wore them, but featured them, and that some pieces where never shown at all.
I am having so much fun with the Poses that have been released at the Pose Fair, ones I adore are the new FRAME sets by aDORKable, has anyone else noticed how sexy those things are, go the dorks. Sexy new poses to frame sexy new shoes. These are the latest Courtisane shoes and they are super gorgeous. They come with two options, the way shown here with the ankle straps and fringing, or without which is so cool because the incredibly stylish looks can be achieved with both, but sometimes you just want to minimise your bam factor.
These heels are incredibly high, but they have a substantial heel and built platform front to accommodate that, which makes them the perfect dancing shoes. Built with one attachment and various sizes for those that need them like me 🙂 . I had to wear Justice the skin by Idiosyncrasy for this post because the poutyness of it just works so well for this combo, I love the blend of make ups available in the three different versions, 8am, 6pm and 2am, I am wearing make ups from the 2am sets because I think I am dress appropriately lol.
Make sure you check out the pose fair, and pick up the frame series, they have one for boys too. You can edit them to any colour you like and they are fully mod so you can fit them to your avatar too.
