I am blessed every day, I have met the most amazing people through Second Life, some may not be as close to me as others but everyone of them holds a part of my heart. The ones that I spend most days with you all know of by name by now I am sure, I mention all of them so regularly that I hope you have come to realise already what they mean to me.
This post didn’t start out to be a YAY my Friends ROCK! post, but as I was uploading and looking over the pictures that I did tonight, I realised how much influence they have over my everyday, and especially my blogging. For a start they are all so incredibly talented, Mel with his creations and just overall knowledge on everything, he is a walking wiki, he is my heart and every day I get to spend time with him is magical even if he did call me screwby doo today – I have a random scooby laugh, but I swear he was saying I was nuts :P.
Fiachra and his beautiful jewelry, he has always been an incredible part of SL I don’t think I would have gotten through so many big changes without him… and his mind, which is very similar to Mels, so between the both of them I feel like a pinball at times; donking from one side to the other and TILT!
Ashia and Justice and their different way of looking at Second Life, their artistic passions that can range from the flowery and fluttery to the dark and bloody. I think everyone just thinks I don’t like that kind of dark art, it really isn’t that, it is that I cannot handle blood and a friend in the same pic, it breaks my heart. Ashia makes cusswords sound sexy and she has this way of picking you up and dusting you off and pushing you back into battle that is just so motherly she is so amazing and strong. Justice makes me laugh just thinking of her laughing, because when she does let herself stop working for long enough to have fun, she can power a small country with her chuckle. No one can rock out short hair like her, and her absolute bravado is just awesome.
Newdolly is that true friend that can go awol for a month or two, but is always there to count on. She does her own thing, has her own passions and when she shares she shares everything, you do not get only parts of Newdoll but all of her, and anyone who doesn’t see what a gift that is can’t be helped. Her art is fabulous and she can takes the erotic to a whole new level.
Sofia has such talent rolled into such an adorable package but so feisty. She knows how to take charge and get things done, and will help her true friends as much as she can, whether it be advice or skills she has, and she has the skills for sure. I adore spending time with her, as I do all my friends, she has a wit that is so dry she can send redbull flying out your nose at least twice a day.
Whimsy and Gary, such an adorable couple, you can practically set your watch by Gary, and I think Whimsy does. She spends all day doing her things she needs to do, and then when he logs on everything stops and being with each other is the theme. Things as simple as shopping or playing Greedy Greedy just become a little nicer when spent doing them with those two. Whimsy has talent she hasn’t even uncovered herself, but I see it every single day, just a little more shows itself and those close to her know and encourage it.
That is what friends do, that is what they do for me every single day. So when I finished taking these pics, and was looking them over after upload I realised that they are a bit of everyone of those people. They give me strength to do more, learn more, experience more…when I don’t blog for a few days it is because they will ALWAYS come first… I really do see their influence in what I do, I want them to know that. It is because of them that I want to be better in everything, and in reverse I am overjoyed with their successes that I want to believe they gain something from mine too, and to me just making a pretty picture and being so happy to have learned a new trick in PS or somewhere is a success.
So thank you to all of them, for holding my heart and sometimes filling it so full I cannot breathe. The others not mentioned know who they are, they know I love them dearly, because I tell them every time we talk.
The clothing in these pictures is all by Baiastice from the new couture collect recently released, such beautiful colours and very feminine, whether formal or warrior it all shines. I am using the new Amacci poses that have been released for Pose Fair, there is a new AO which some of them are from, and a new pose pack…the AO is called Posh and it is lovely to wear.
I had fun shooting these pics, going from place to place. Some places I had to use my VR Studio Mobile Library and some I could actually rez at, the wheat field let me rez it even said I could in the covenant, how cool was that.

No Race Day
I love What’s New SL Group, biased maybe, but today I got to feature some people that I have explored as stores due to the group. What I love more though, is when people provide all info in notices…that’s what What’s New SL was mainly set up for…but when it actually happens, it is very cool. Such as sending all landmarks to different locations so that if I happen to be intending to go to one location and get a notice for a store there, I can pop into it while already there, yes that means updating satelites locations, but it is due to those that many of us find your mains anyway.

It isn’t a race, I cannot be the only one that is out shopping ; hears that there is a new release by a certain store, and knows they have a smaller store where I am, run or cam over to see items that are six months old if not older, then just gets sadface. Yeah getting ranty, but seriously you people pay to have these locations represent your product, so why not set up newness at all your spots THEN send the notice ? in RL it is a lot harder to do that but they do, so why in SL where it takes ten seconds to tp to the other side of the grid would you not ?

In this case it was actually not just LM’s but Xstreet links, meaning I could buy right from my VR Studio, just opened browser and I had a new outfit…easy.Again the store owner is thinking of making the most of their announcement options, in not just What’s New SL but ALL marketing options they may have, in most cases you get one option to captivate a customer with your release, as they are usually getting dozens of shopping options per hour in SL…so giving them EVERY available way to spend their lindens with you is just common sense.

Again it is not a race, unless you have a fair deadline, or a collab project that HAS to go out at that exact moment, you should take your time, dot all your i’s and cross all your t’s , there are enough ways to promote your stores these days, that you could have info going out every day for a week to different customers. Next release I dare you to try it :P.
The first look is actually a new to me store, but yay for them joining What’s New SL . Not only do I really like the items she has for sale, but I love the Muhi store set up, and on inspection it is her that actually built it as well. This Asymetrical bodysuit is wonderful and actually has the option to wear as more of a jacket if you aren’t into the whole bodysuit look. Which with dress pants would look very dressy under the right circumstances.
The Sam dress by Elate I have had too long not blogged, shame. The Fleur de lis give this tshirt style dress a regal appearance. I do like that Kellie also took the option of plain back, as the all print look can sometimes be a bit too much. I am wearing some newly release jewelry from Ganked with it, in various forms, but I love the necklace the way it sits on the actual collar, because the way it is designed it has that shawl clip look as though more than a necklace but also an item that is holding the dress on the shoulders.
Loving the New Prestige Boots by Bax Coen in silver as much as I am ? Bax has also moved to her own sim this past week, so no more mainland lag for her. The colours that come with the silver and also gold are just lovely, one of the four not shown is actually stunning, but I am saving it – or savoring it . These will be released very soon, so just hold on tight until then, or just go explore the new sim :).
The skirt, or lack there of;Â is the item that I bought while taking pics. It is actually part of a set, and I am honest, I couldn’t tell you what came with the skirt because once I laid eyes on it, that was it *grabby hands. One of the older gartery tops from Cynful is Vogue, so many different options and layers in these tops, with and without lace, and in different coloured lace too. Talk about going all out to satisfy your customers, the most layers you do on everything, the more likely they are to be go to items for people that love layering and mixing and matching.
The scarf is so cute, it was actually at the accessory fair as a dollarbie, in white and black. Haunted Zuzu is an offshoot of Material Squirrel and I really admire Kala’s skills and exploration of new and innovative accessories, something as simple as a lace scarf can add so much to an outfit, this would be really nice too in place of a blouse collar, to give something older a fresh look.
Kissed by Lithium notices make me laugh, sorry but they do. It is not the products, but the way they go about making a new release sound like a must have prescription is too funna. I am a remiss in not blogging this set earlier, the Imovane set has the cutest baggy boardies with a lovely bikini in many colour options. Doing baggy is hard in SL because of how the mesh works, and I would like to see these worked on a little more to maybe incorporate a cuff, but for fun and frolicking in the surf they totally work.
Totally gave me a chance to wear my Gyala clog sandals by Enkythings. I love how Enktan managed to modernise the clog in this way, and the colours and base choices really work. The studs along the sides that show that these are true blog workmanship is just genius.
Spinning through this post with more Eva skins by Tuli, the make ups, skin tone and body all worked for this post so well. I was privileged to see a sneak peak at a new skin already in the works by Tuli the other night with Whimsy. It is like nothing Tuli has done before and it is amazing. Those looking for more from the brand will just be in awe of what is to come.
Magika hair love all over the place, they are having an insane SALE at the moment, so be sure you don’t miss out on that, the hair packs are slashed to clear lol J/K …argh imagine if we only got the chance to create so many of something, wow would SL be fight to the death.
Not all purple but enough to make Ashia not donk me on the head.

Grape Ape kicks Barneys bum
Ok so I am in the sin bin for a week. The punishment is that I have to wear something purple in every single post. Now purple lovers don’t get all persnickety, I have an issue with one particular purple, not all…it’s just become such a thing for me, that I tend to shy away from most automatically now. I had a purple coloured room, and my best friend growing up loved it, it was such an 80’s teen girl thing for sure.
So I never had a problem with it, I also love plums and the shades that vary throughout the purple spectrum, but I hate one particular purple and it is because it has a violent memory spark attached to it for me. So when I say I don’t like it, don’t misunderstand me, it isn’t a hate for the colour, it is really a hate for the memory. So Ashia 😛 this isn’t really a punishment *grins*.
Featuring lots from Whippet & Buck today. The Lesley set is a delightfully fun romper, that is made a little old school in the trimmed edges and terry cloth like look. I was trying to think of times a romper would be totally perfect for the occasion and I realised what better place than a mosh pit. Ok seriously my brain went there, and wasn’t going to come back until I put together a look that had me jumping off stage into a group of sweaty headbangers.
My combo has its practical points too, such as Posture collar by Plastic, when flying around in the air into a tight knit group, you never know how you may land, and this thing could totally double as a brace if injured. Then you have the fingerless leather gloves, putting a nice little germ barrier between you and the masses.
Studs often are an essential, kind of like porcupine spikes… they are great for warding off other dancers from getting in your way, you may need to head butt someone , so headbands with studs totally rock, then shoving people out of the way with swift hip movements makes the belt a plus.
Don’t even bother wearing socks or tights that are in one piece, sheesh are you kidding. Torn is the only way to go , and these sex appeal socks are perfect, not only pre torn but the arrows show off your kick butt boots to the enemy, in case they have any ideas about taking your space.
While all of this is going on you are perfectly covered up with your romper, keeping all your bits protected and yet staying cool at the same time, wooot terry cloth. But if mosh diving isn’t your things, well then you can always just go out for the day in yours, the style is adaptable for all needs.
I am sure I mentioned the show Greek the other day, and the sexy in a mans shirt episode, well in following along that train of thought, the Shay contrast shirts are perfect. They are of course from the Whippet & Buck mens section, but honestly I love that side as much as the girls side. MORE PANTS PLEASE !
I could totally see walking around the house with one of those on over my lovely Agnes Lingerie, also from W&B – see that I got lazy there. The Agnes set comprises of the pieces shown as well as garter straps on the corset, they are just for decoration though, as there were no stockings with, but I am sure I can hunt for some that will work…sometimes a bit hard to match up garter ends to stocking tops if not same creator.
I am wearing the corset/cincher over the top of a boater top I went and grabbed from W&B during taking pics for the post, yes it is true I needed to get more purple lol. This is actually the shade of purple I have the issues with, but I made an exception, the style of the boater top is great, and there is a huge range of colours to choose from, I have it in other colours already.
Are you liking the skins I am showing today as much as I am ? They are the latest release from Fishy Strawberry, and you totally need to go hit her SOM today, because a group gift is going out at some stage that is just beautiful. The body of these skins is so well done, the options are of course enhanced in the cleavage area, with light and dark brows as well as hair bases. The make up on them is beautiful and even with the down turned lips they come across as really character enhancing.
I am really liking the little bit wild side of the latest hair by Fri.day, the studded headbands are so cool, and the options for without and colourchange make them very wearable all the time.
Now I hope I remember to do the purple thing the other days this next 6 days, I wrote myself a note RL lol. Have a fun day everyone, and don’t let bad memories influence you forever, you may miss out on some incredible things because of it.

Rising
Clothing Fair 2010 is approaching fast, 13th of March to be exact. One of the bigger events of the year with the donations going to RFL as they do every year, this is the 4th year and they are getting bigger and better with each one. The landing point this year is amazing, it was like arriving at the Olympics.
One of the stores taking part this year is Phoenix Rising. The gown I am wearing is a sparkly strapless combination that just works beautifully. The texture on the skirt is like falling light beams, and the bodice is gorgeous.
I decided that with that expanse of neckline, I didn’t want to go with the more traditional formal jewelry. But opted instead for some of the new Recluse collars from Plastik, these come in various styles and colour/print blends and are just lovely…you know I love posture collars, so these will definitely get featured again in the other variations.
The second outfit comprises of the top of one of the newer dresses from Phoenix Rising, I decided that the jeans and top looked so cute together that I went that route for now. it also gave me another chance to wear the waist belt from cobrahive, this one actually more of a high waist belt.
New hair from two stores, the first is Vanna a style from Pazazz, the textures are that tight curl look, and as an updo it is really nice. The second is really new from Exile, and I am so loving the pixie like bangs, very vintage and so hot. I pray that Kavar does a lot more styles with this bang look, because the possibilities are just OMG.
What I learned today :

Dot Lane Girl Reporter:
I want to write something special, I want to express how much someone like Dot Lane can mean to people that see her for what she is. See her use humor as a way of protecting herself, a woman that even though pint sized could fill ten thousand servers with her charm and charisma. A woman that reached into my heart all the way down here, and has now filled it with heartache that I didn’t get to tell her every day how incredible she is. But I know that she doesn’t need me too, that she knows I adore her so much, and that she would think me silly sitting here typing in tears just because she isn’t going to log in her avatar anymore.I am sad that she will be in plurk and I can’t spend lots of time there, but I do know she is happy, and that she is finding new adventures with her life. It is funny because I can just hear her in SL , and imagine her in her safari shorts and jacket from CKS about to take on the new world she has planned for herself. I imagine each day her sitting by lamplight writing down her memoirs and experiences with the wildlife she encounters. One day maybe I will come across some writing that will be by someone not named Dot and I will just know it is her, that no one else in the whole world could ever be the same, write the same, or have the same outlook on life…she is outstanding.

Talk about racing against the machine, I was so trying to get this post out in time, but alas the skins are sold out . Beating her last record by sooo many hours, the Idiosyncrasy Daily Deal ended up being a Morning Make Up…how awesome and I am so glad I got mine.
Showing off with the beautiful Limited Edition Make Up in the Justice skin, I have on the latest creations by Fishy Strawberry. Cute aren’t they? I did throw in a touch of Emery for length, but all in all the newest seperates are fun to mix and match.
I need BettiePage Voyager to make more hair. BP* Hair is always so adorable…I just went by to check if there was something I missed and ended up with another style, soooo cute is the Spring Short Bob. These pieces can be used for casual day wear, or vixen nights, it will be up to you to accessorise and do that thing you do.

There are probably a hundred posts – slight exaggeration – where I say that the skins by this creator are ‘ perfect for lingerie’. I am almost tempted to do a search on the myself to see how many exactly, but those that have read those posts in the past will know it’s true.For some reason too, whenever there was new skin by the then Fleur, I was always on my posestand already, and used to think that Roslin had my house wired or something. So often I had shown the Fleur skins with lingerie releases from other stores, but now with the recent change to 5th & Oxford and the very talented Roslin now making clothing, I squeel because I get to do both lingerie and skins from the same store.
Last night when I put this set on, I was lounging around the house, and I told Mel that if I could I would so go out and shop in this set, that I would do all the things I normally do in a day, but in this incredibly styled vintage look lingerie, and I meant it.
The lingerie and the skins are called Little Miss , and it is so perfect a name for such a girly girl collection, I am personally all chuffed, because there is even accessories and more lingerie to be seen, but to be honest, I am saving it to make it last longer lol.
Now the accessories are the fabulous headband, and veil for that even more vintage look, as well as mules but NOT the ones I am wearing, see the ones from 5th & Oxford are great but they are traditional mules in the sense that they have the fluff, and I begged Enkythings creator Enktan to make me mules without fluff a long time ago for lingerie shoots, as I didn’t shoot alpha very well back then etc, so I had to keep true to them, as they are my favourite lingerie shoes.
Make sure you try all the skins, and definitely get all the lingerie, so that Roslin keeps making more and more and more, because it is sooooooooooooooooooooo gorgeous.

At a few minutes before the hour of midnight last night, Arabella, Ashia and I tpd around like crazy women, to try and get to all the 50L friday items. We managed I think to get most of them before Ashia had to leave…it is always so hard to spend the right hours together with everyone living all over the world.
The last few days I have been sleeping almost like an aussie, it’s been shocking to the system. Mel doesn’t sleep like an american, Whimsy doesn’t sleep much at all, Ashia is always up extra late for a pom, and Arabella burns the candle at both ends in NZ.
It is now 8am and I still haven’t slept, but I had a great time nattering with the masses in FE today, and having Whimsy be mean to me, yes yes she was a meany bum. Yesterday much earlier in the day I was sooooooooo cranky, that the girls had to deal with me grumbling as we shopped, and then I got to BP* and I was in a glorious mood, because I found the ultimate in vintage jeans love….actually it was a denimpaloooza, not only did I find the jeans of Yum, but also the Gaucho denim pants of Yummyness too.
The flared back of the jeans is just wonderful with inbuilt ruffles in gingham they made me squeel with delight. You get three options of colour in the pack, but really can you go past red for your gingham. I was also overjoyed that it went perfectly with the Summer Breeze dress top portion that I was wearing yesterday in yellow, in the red which I had also bought…I was a happy bumblebee, the fact that Anya has used the system skirt for the bottom of this is awesome.
The top half of me was taken care of in full by OhMai today, not just the top of the dress for with the jeans, but also the lovely cami and vest..the vest is the type of open look that goes with just about everything, dressier pants or a slimline skirt, it will all work really well. Sometimes you just have to get your denim groove on, and today was my day to do so.

What’s in a name
What’s in a name, well today lots and lots. A few months back Dove Swanson of Long Awkward Pose asked some of us to choose a rl picture that we like the real pose in, and she would try and recreate it for us. Yesterday she released the Wonder Girls pose set and I was so excited to see that my choice made the cut.
I decided it might be fun to do a pic with each pose; in a kind of look of the person it was named after, now I don’t know all of the people, and some that I do know I had to mix some things up, but it was my ownfun and entertaining way to cope with not being able to sleep.

It was so much fun dressing up as Achariya, I combined two old favs from Ghost that is now Triangle. The Skirt comes in handy for all sorts of fabulous looks. This pose is ideal for holding things, and the bandaged kitty from PF was an ideal blend with this look.

I totally believe that Autumn would just cop a squat anywhere and take a call, a recent hair release from her own store is just adorable, and so suited to the fabulous Nautical set by Roslin Petion of 5th&Oxford (Previously not on Buffy but Fleur). You cannot see enough of the clothing to give it justice , but take my word for it, if you are into highwaist double buttoned sailor pants, THESE are a MUST HAVE. Also must haves are the thongs on my feet, they are FREE at the horror festival at Drowsy, get them in all colours , I was so excited to find a great pair , and free just made them awesome.

This pose, and the name, what else could I shoot but Lingerie, and fine a lush lingerie it is. Recently Blowpop released this set and it’s just awesome, seriously if Annyka doesn’t keep making clothes, we will have to stage a sit in. The lace topped stockings are sold as seperates, which is great as they come in different sheer depths and are a great price. Often you just need stockings because you have all the other pieces already.

The first time I ever saw this hair, or any hair by lamb for that matter; it was on Dakota Buck. This pose is fabulous as it has a definite, I’m waiiiiiting but I’m being very cool about it look. I mixed a lot of TRUTH items in this look, I adore the cardigan coat, big and long and wintery warm…it is so what I need right this second. If you look really hard I didn’t credit it, because you cannot buy it , but there is a sneaky touch of Savvy in there :P.

5th&Oxford with their rebranding came new skins, Audrey is the name and with that comes the classy looks that Fleur in the past was reknowned for. Lips that are full and poutyful, with a lovely and delicate skin tone, semi porceline looking but with some peaches thrown in.Also from the festival, I think I bought everything, the bag I am carrying was actually the bag the bandage eyes comes in, I thought the bag was so cute I had to wear it as an accessory.

Oh Caroline – a
There are times when you have to look at your friends list a few times, to really absorb how eerily silent it seems. Then I remind myself that it is because people are creating, usually after a release that’s when they get more actively on and off, popping up a few times a day.
One of the designers I notice this with the most is Torie of Bebae, I don’t know what it is, but I can generally tell when she is starting, in the middle of, or close to completion of a skin, just by how often she is online. I leave her be until it gets to that point when I think she is close, and sure enough I am usually correct lol.
The New Erin skin, just recently released is the latest in the Bebae line. The Erin skin comes in a beautiful collection of tones, with lovely soft make ups. Each skin has four options, two kinds of brows, with and without lashes. With and without lashes is a relatively new thing, not new as a concept, but new as an option, many keep their lashes sliders way down in shape options, and there are those that keep them ultra long, but regardless often they can get in the way of your alpha prim ones, or can just effect your overall looks.
The detailing on the body of Erin is wonderful as usual, the belly button is adorable, and the shading to the stomach gives a healthy without overly fit look. The attention to detail in the shading on the breasts is also very indicative of her overall care taken to the bodies of her skins.
Always back and forth on the whole shaved vs not shaved thing, the Erin is a win for me again lol. I won a few skins ago and then she took back my winnings, and then back and forth she went, she is a nutter – yes you Torie 😛 .
As usual you should really take the time to try on as many of the DEMOS of Bebae skins as you can, take them home with you, run around your house nakey, do whatever you need to.
The make ups as I said are really lovely, the softness to them makes them perfect for everyday wear, whether work or play. In this insidence it would be considered play, with the Caroline and Emily range from Insolence.
Incredibly beautiful Satin sets in the Caroline release, with the bra and camisole tops and matching panties, or the lace and floral softness of Emily. Both sets are divine, and can be worn as undergarments or additions to a look, such as a business suit with a peak of satin showing through the slightly agape fitted jacket. It all works and is incredibly feminine as Insolence always is.
All of the hair shown today is from White Well, some of you will remember Kyoko of White Well from last year..she has reopened a store and is doing great, her recent hair releases are just lovely.

“Check the body” was the suggestion, and I flew home and got naked. I knew there was only one place to check in this case, and I was correct. The latest skin release from Gala Phoenix of Gala @ Curio is June, which will be released later today.
The skin is now bare down there, with summer rearing its firey tentacles and with a lot of swimwear wearing about to take place, the June skin had to be ready for it. I for one am very happy this has occured, as it saves on mishaps of changing in public and rushing off to meet friends or colleagues and having to worry about something being cut too low, and I am sure – before you think it – there probably is many a business meeting done in swimwear in Second Life.
All the rest of the body on June is the same details and beautiful shading we have come to love. You also get the light/dark options with each tone as previously, and two variations of each make up. This time around the feature make up would have to be Swan, a delicate fluttering of wings around the eyes is just lovely.
Pure fans you will be delighted to know the June Pures are marvelous, and Doe is a fav for me already…I predict a lot of play with Oriental Poppy as the vivid burnt orange and reds are going to really enrich your passion for colour, definitely go and stand in wait for the Demos at the Curio sim, you will love June..she is definitely the older sister of the naughty lolitas of April.
Elixir recently released some sci fi inspired pieces in their latex items, also this very hi-tech looking Lingerie called Alpha fine lingerie, it is really nice to see people provide all sorts of clothing variations when working on a theme, for those that are really into RP and futuristic play, this set is sexy and fits the bill.
The lingerie comes on all layers, with different options, and it is delightfully mod, for tinting possibilities. I am so partial to the white though, one thing that was adorable in this sexy set, is that the pieces actually don’t join, they cling to the skin as only futuristic fibres should and can, and not only that, I secretly think that it’s too clear with the dots and dashes of the creation, that it is in fact a secret message for an unknown force, so make sure you are prepared for the encounter, however close it may be ;)…check out Elixir for very sexy latex and lingerie.
The hair I am wearing is a NEW style from Aden called Kaylee, yes for those of you that thought Aden had left us, the store has re-opened in smaller premises for now. There are 7 New styles as well as older ones you may not already own. The Black tipped Hair Rose is from Essentia, and is one of my all time go to’s with the hair roses, this and the black tipped grey are my most worn I would have to say.
Shoes are the Nana Heels from Enkythings, and the poses I used in this post are all from Persona, there are beautiful poses there for lingerie shoots especially.
