Rhinestone Cowgirl
I was tempted to call this post “On a wing and a prayer” then of course I couldn’t not use the oppurtunity to be totally corny and call it RhineStone Cowgirl. Prety much when and “IF” Stormtroopers go to Heaven the first picture is what they would end up looking like.
I was wearing that outfit earlier, when a conference IM shot forth from Cajsa Lilliehook of It’s Only Fashion, that it was her Second Rezday….Happy Rezday Cajsa ♥. “Come as you are” was the IM, that so didn’t happen lol. I was actually skipping around in the prim parts of that outfit all day, but the latex was added for the post, mind you I do run around like that too sometimes.
I had actually wanted to show the latex for some while, and the combo struck me as a bonus, as the white latex I had wasn’t really white enough, so didn’t work. Im not really sure if the Tech wings and boots actually rate as cell shaded, because I am not sure how that all really works, but it is close enough for me, and I had always wanted something cell shaded that wasn’t a cartoon. I have to admit too , that the boots kind of reminded me of Marvin the Paranoid Android from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the 2005 movie one not the original.
The latex is part of a set, that you can actually buy a starters pack, and then add all the necessary components you may or may not need. The latex is marvelously structured, and I really really really want the person that made it to make more, they only have a small amount, and they really really really need to make more, the red is also HOT HOT HOT.
The Wing part was obviously the first pic, the Prayer part the second, seriously I have sore butt cheeks from clenching to keep these pants up. Nah just kidding, but seriously if I could make clothes, the first thing I would have done as soon as I saw these insanely low rider jeans, would be to make a garter belt with straps that clip at the waist band lol, plus I think not only would it be fun , but totally wicked. Or maybe even suspender extenders , lol say that three times fast.
Fact of the matter is, that it is dependent on your shape as to how low they look, my hip length is 50 I never change my shape for blogging, so if you have shorter hips they wont look as low at the back lol.
All in all they are an ode to gravity. The tops worn with are adorable, and the print options are really lovely. I kind of love the idea that the argyle is called Nerdy, because they are far from that when worn. How adorable is that hat/hair, its all sorts of win, with the rhinestones perfectly textured, and not only can you change the colour of the hat on click, but also you can opt for with and without the stones, which is a nice option definitely.
The skin is New and just gorgeous, especially take notice of the eyeshadow on this release, the blues and silver, with the catseye liner is splendid. Now so glossy, more of a shimmery look to the lipstick you will find with these skins. There are light and dark brow versions as well as tattoo options on the skin itself, which can be fun.
Make sure you give the Demos a spin and really enjoy the makeups, they are so heavenly.

Lifes a Beach
Kura had me at Sassyyyyy Newwwww. I love that girl, I cannot help it, she always makes me smile no matter what the IM is regarding. The New Alexis Jacket and Alexis pants sets, sold seperately are just too many shades of awesome.
The pants come as shorts, medium wide leg capri or trousers with and without cuffs options…but nothing prepared me for the bliss that is the Jacket. Vintage looking YES, beautiful ruffle style piping YES YES YES, but as much as all of those things are adorable, NOTHING compares to the flippy uppy bottom at the back of the jacket. Even without the pants, can’t you just imagine this with a system skirt…LOVE LOVE LOVE.
The sculpties and texturing is lovely, and so much so that I couldn’t resist showing it without the prims, which actually makes a nice looking shirt.
The new Beach Skins by Gala @ Curio are just another sensational product. The thing about the Gala line, is that she really does know what it is to be female, and that is so evident in how she packages her skins. Some women stick to a tone, they will not deviate from it, and if it is not similar enough in another brand they will do without.
I myself vary my tones dependant on mood, I can switch from pale to dark tan at the drop of a hat, but I do tend to stay around the sunkissed region. Now lucky for women like me, Gala not only does a wonderful range of tones, but she gives you a light and dark variation of each, as well as a slight variation on each make up, giving you so much more for your crazy days of not being able to decide on the look you want.
I swear this consideration of her customer base, makes for huge fangirlyness. I remember once a friend I worked with saying, you should never shop with PMS, because she came home with a faux fur bikini o.O , I kid you not , faux fur. So on those days when nothing sits right, your attachments wont attach, and you swear you want to go from light to dark or dark to light in skin, just coz, and no one can change your mind, at least you may be able to calm down a bit, and possibly save some buyers remorse with a Gala.
In the main picture I am actually wearing a special and exclusive to the Skin Fair that is now on for a short time, each wonderful designer was asked to make an exclusive to the fair skin/make up and Gala released the Beach Osprey make up, which is gorgeous, and a steal, where you get not just one tone, but all tones, in light and dark with two make up variations for only 1K.
There are slight differences in the Beach face, the mouth especially, whether already a huge fan of the Gala skins, or in the past them not suiting your shape, take the Beach for a whirl, and definitely do not miss out on the Osprey , the idea of getting all tones in one, is just fabulous.

Glamazon
Futuristic Glamazon, that is the first thing that comes to mind with the Cai Suit. The second is usually high society women with little white yapping dogs, lol, either way, the outfit has a definite appeal for an empowered woman. The pants have a definite tailored quality to them, and the sculpties are really well textured, they will again require some modding, due to the sizes they are made. I guess the arm pieces being built so small is a bonus, as often it is easier to resize up than down.
The bottom of the pants are also sculpted to appear tight and scrunched, but I opted for some other Glamazon items in the form of the Over the Knee black boots by Storm Schmooz. I went on a buying spree at ::69:: tonight before I started taking pics, I think I bought a lot of hair lol. I got some of the new – maybe all I’m not sure, and a few others I didn’t already have.
They have returned somewhat to their original kind of style, which is a great thing, because I needed more hat hair. I am also in love with the options, one such option is that the hair I am wearing in black has either regular sides or cornrows option, very cool. I also managed to edit one of the hats shown, to now have SS instead of SN, but I didn’t want to confuse the issue – and yes it then lead me to make SS drawing pins to hold up my polaroids.
LeLutka went swimwear crazy this latest release, and the mix is extremely flattering for all shapes and sizes, easily modified sculpties, and really lovely prints and colours.
Usually when showing a store that has skins, I feature that skin also, but today I misbehaved. This is Nadia, a new skin by Staged. It was created to be a darker skin line, and the light tan I am wearing in the main pics is just a little bit darker than you would be used to with a light tan.
The body is just gorgeous, and look *squeels* lower back dimples. My ex used to say that those were the sexiest thing on a woman, I think he used to add aside from him, but then what do you expect, he is a man after all. Showing a few make up options on the pics, the make up goes from natural blends to highly dramatic nightwear. The shadow is very metalic and almost shimmery which is just great, the lips again are a mix, and more matte than glossy, but the combination definitely works.
You get two options with the skins, shaved and not shaved, and the size of these bikinis and others I have been featuring lately, it’s a bonus to have choice, or have I said that already :P.

Loose fit and Lovely
With the recent updating of the skins at Laq, I couldn’t wait to take them for a spin, but also wanted to show the clothing that I think is just super duper.
Claudia is one of the hair base skins, you get the option of with and without in the pack, and at the moment the prices on the fat pack are just great, allowing those that had the older version to update without a huge expense, and those that never had them before get a bargain indeed.
The overall detailing to the body, is beautiful, the attention to detail is evident, especially in things like the elbows and backs of knees…which for some reason I am drawn too all the time on skins. The bum is FABULOUS , the perfect bum for swimwear this summer. I am actually showing off the body in the White Lingerie set from LAQ also, it is a silvery white, that has a great thong style .
Just as I was about to get up on my VR Posestand tonight to shoot the LAQ items I had planned I got the notice of the New hair release, and OH MY GOODNESS, if you have need for hair to go with your hair base skins, this is the YUMS. I couldnt resist getting all three styles, I am showing Kira and Claudia in this post, but also Tasha is a must have.
Speaking of Must Haves everything I am showing today is…the Denim Dresses are fantastic, I thought they looked really nice in the store, but on is a hundred times better. Denim dresses like this were huge in the mid to late 80’s , everyone had a denim fetish back then, and these dresses immortalise that look in such a dynamic way. The denim texture is fantastic and the colour options are excellent.
Teamed up with the Cypa boots from Enkythings the look is wicked. Also superbly textured are the loose shirts, another item that had appeal on the rack, but up close and personal they are just wonderful. The detailing on the texture is kind of country, but without being overly so, which actually makes them even hotter. The shadow details on these shirts is excellent, giving a realism to the design.
I am wearing the magnificent Mo Pants from Miel, ahhhh another item where the ads don’t do them justice, and in no way am I saying the ads aren’t wonderful, all Miel ads are, but these pants are off the hook gorgeous.For such a casual concept they have such a classy stylish quality when worn. The sculptie work is excellent and they have the same adorable buttons as their jane shoes I am also wearing in the darks range.
As you can see the make up range on the Claudia skin will never leave you wanting, there is a choice for all needs, and the lipstick is lush, I really think Claudia is a very sexy skin, from not just the body perspective , but the character of the face itself. Try on the demos , especially when trying on the demos of the hair base hair… the two combined are gorgeous, and while you are there, if you happen to see Mela the store Manager , tell her hi from Sasy.

What’s in a name
What’s in a name, well today lots and lots. A few months back Dove Swanson of Long Awkward Pose asked some of us to choose a rl picture that we like the real pose in, and she would try and recreate it for us. Yesterday she released the Wonder Girls pose set and I was so excited to see that my choice made the cut.
I decided it might be fun to do a pic with each pose; in a kind of look of the person it was named after, now I don’t know all of the people, and some that I do know I had to mix some things up, but it was my ownfun and entertaining way to cope with not being able to sleep.

It was so much fun dressing up as Achariya, I combined two old favs from Ghost that is now Triangle. The Skirt comes in handy for all sorts of fabulous looks. This pose is ideal for holding things, and the bandaged kitty from PF was an ideal blend with this look.

I totally believe that Autumn would just cop a squat anywhere and take a call, a recent hair release from her own store is just adorable, and so suited to the fabulous Nautical set by Roslin Petion of 5th&Oxford (Previously not on Buffy but Fleur). You cannot see enough of the clothing to give it justice , but take my word for it, if you are into highwaist double buttoned sailor pants, THESE are a MUST HAVE. Also must haves are the thongs on my feet, they are FREE at the horror festival at Drowsy, get them in all colours , I was so excited to find a great pair , and free just made them awesome.

This pose, and the name, what else could I shoot but Lingerie, and fine a lush lingerie it is. Recently Blowpop released this set and it’s just awesome, seriously if Annyka doesn’t keep making clothes, we will have to stage a sit in. The lace topped stockings are sold as seperates, which is great as they come in different sheer depths and are a great price. Often you just need stockings because you have all the other pieces already.

The first time I ever saw this hair, or any hair by lamb for that matter; it was on Dakota Buck. This pose is fabulous as it has a definite, I’m waiiiiiting but I’m being very cool about it look. I mixed a lot of TRUTH items in this look, I adore the cardigan coat, big and long and wintery warm…it is so what I need right this second. If you look really hard I didn’t credit it, because you cannot buy it , but there is a sneaky touch of Savvy in there :P.

5th&Oxford with their rebranding came new skins, Audrey is the name and with that comes the classy looks that Fleur in the past was reknowned for. Lips that are full and poutyful, with a lovely and delicate skin tone, semi porceline looking but with some peaches thrown in.Also from the festival, I think I bought everything, the bag I am carrying was actually the bag the bandage eyes comes in, I thought the bag was so cute I had to wear it as an accessory.

Yes , not often or ever would you see me in a shirt like this one, Ryker made them a while back for fits and giggles. Definitely a pose in suiting with her character, peace love and mungbeans baby. I love these jeans by the way, they were made an eon ago under her Lix label, yes Ryker made them too, I don’t know if they are even sold anywhere as they were from her old store..but you should harass her if they arent.

Another item I got at the festival was this tunic top, it is so folksy that it reminded me of the first thing Shir made, which featured an embroidered look. Yes I am loving my thongs, they are so cool, I walk around barefoot so much in RL and SL, so these will come in so handy , or feety.

Actually the first chance I have had to wear alllll the pieces to the Nizam set, it is primtastical but at my own home if anyone complained I’d have ejected them, well actually I wouldn’t the security would because they shouldn’t be in my house lol. Such an incredible set, and what better place to show diversity and your love for cultural pieces than in Second Life.

Fishy in the waterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It started out with some love for some leggings, and ended up a shopping expedition, with girls in voice conference poking at each other and laughing and loving, what fun.
It was another one of those days yesterday, pick up one, lose two, add another and shopping until we dropped, or at least until I had lots of work to do. There was all sorts of ooooooing and ahhhhhhhhhhhing from me, I literally had a hairgasm right there. I love love love the styles at Fishy Strawberry, they are big hair lovers dream hair, but controlled and styled in a way as to not be overly big hair…yes it totally makes sense in my head – or in this case ON my head 😛 .
Both styles Huntress one and two are just YUM, the way its backcombed and pinned in place, the braids on one, the vivaciousness of two , it all works. The clothing in pic one also had me squeeling, the leather pants are to die for, tight and shiny, with the twisted leather wrap around the waist and tied up at the back, ok way too cool.The cuffs of the pants are just perfectly scrunched too, fitting well over my snakeskin heels. The Material girl Bustier is also an item that I had to have, it comes in other colours, but I wanted it to match my perfectly divine leather Benetar pants, do you feel the earth moving under your feet ?.
The second pic is a blend of the fabulous leggings that started the whole thing, the swan lake leggings in black are just lovely, they come in three options on all layers, and the white are available at the new Fishy Strawberry satelite store at Macos Mall. The leggings are a sheer fabric, so obviously delicate, that the versions become shredded and holey in the other options, very effective and prettyful with the criss cross leg ties at the base of them.
I have put on this skirt so many times to blog it, I finally got there Marni, and I am actually glad I waited, because these leggings are just perfect with this floral tutu style. The large rubbery looking flowers are fun, especially in this style, overly magnificant it has a real runway look to it.
Laundry day is such a fun bra and panties set, it has a real playful look to it, the colours, the prints and just the over all design, I love the panties, as they are definitely real panties, in a design that reminds me of being a kid.
The Kim skin is the latest release from PXL , the skin is a smoldering blend of make ups, with so many options, it is fantastic, not only do you get eyebrow colour options, but also hair base options, and the hair base is fantastic, also coming with a very nicely coifed bun for wearing as an extra tight do. The bodies are of course as usual fantastic, and WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO Hart gave in and we now have bare down there lol , ok I am not sure exactly when he gave in , but he did, so now for the non bare option there are underpants layers for those that can’t bare bare.
But again with the clothing getting lower and lower this year, you really do need to invest in skins that have that option. The tones of the Kim skin as you can see vary from soft and pale luminous looking skin tone to a deep dark tan, covering many preferences of tone choice. DEMO DEMO DEMO and while you are there get your partners to check out the male skins too, yum.

I had to hunt down that hair today, seriously the other day I had seen it on a customer and found out it was from a store I hadn’t been to. I had many other things to do that day, and luckily I made a note of it to remind myself to go when I was back from shaping *^(%&^%^*&^*(( only Aussie’s will get that terminology, or at least friends of that are used to us screaming blue murder when it happens.
Anywho’s , today I dragged everyone to find it with me, and by everyone I mean the usual suspects, Justice, Ashia, Whimsy and Arabella. At first I had the wrong location, it was their satelite store I had made a note of, not their main, and through sheer crazyness and for some reason not thinking to look if their was more info on the profile, I IM’d the creator and was sent a LM to the correct store lol.
Nothing is too hard for me when it comes to hair. I got it I love it, it has that Elvis vs Johnny Knoxville kind of thing going on, and um YUM – the Dukes of Hazard Johnny , not the one that used to do crazy things with others and film it, coz that Johnny was just plum crazy.
Showing off the tones of the skins I am featuring, I am wearing a few of the Hotness Bikinis from Luck Inc, aren’t they trashtastical. Seriously the hair, the glasses and the bikinis with the raggedy tank hiked up over the breasts, I am ready to hook up my trailer and take it on the road Vegas style. I recently had a chat with CK Winx of Luck Inc and it was decided, that the store is a ongoing process of things Men want to see Women in.
Truth is too, that I think it’s a bit of a mix also of things Women want to wear for their Men too, but of course to be respected in the morning if we do ;). I opted for the kini prints that actually made me think of Route 66 and the kind of prints that you would find in retro themed stores, there are others in the Hotness range, and all equally sexy.
I’m featuring the BlowPop N2 Ava skins today, recently released these skins live up to the benchmark that Blowpop is known for. Beautifully worked bodies, with stunningly unique faces. There is something very wise in the character of Blowpop skins, a kind of all knowing, all seeing elusiveness.
Each make up has a second option, being a richer lipstick choice, the make up is definitely a more mature range of make ups, very sultry and earthy in tones and colour. Ava is the kind of skin that will feel very comforting, warm and friendly to not only those admiring you, but to yourself.
Take her for a spin around the house, dress her up, dress her down…really see her from all angles..DEMO DEMO DEMO.
The second and third outfits are from Whippet & Buck, a store that is a mix of Twiggy Whippet and Dakota Buck, two aussies that know a frock is a frock is a frock, now that I have the Haver tiered frock I don’t have to think of examples when explaining to the unkowing what a frock is lol..and what a frock it is, the RFL dress is a beautiful tiered frock, with such beautiful colours that I was in heaven when adding the Lamb hair and finding that the hat had a colour option in the perfect harmony. Plus I am so in love with the Lamb textures, not just the colours themselves but the names and the way they are packaged.
The ensemble above is a mix and match of boy and girl, the Sgt Pepper Cropped Jacket is a MUST HAVE as are the fabulous Harris Tartan Shorts, I adore these shorts, I honestly think I purchased those before the womens stuff. The adorable riding gloves are also from there, lending a real vintage look to the outfit.
The Clawtooth hair Timeless Glamour didn’t hurt in that department either, adding more glasses from DeLa and the DeLa socks, with the high oxfords from Tesla I was on my way to lunch with the ladies at the Club, snickers, ok maybe not, but I could be :P.
Lastly after hours of grid jumping today, with all the girls, then some of the girls, then one of the girls, then a different one of the girls lol, I ended up back at home unwrapping my goodies, and quickly putting on my Aoharu stuffs.
Aoharu is having a sale at the moment, and it is pretty much the last 22 hours or so now, talk about cutting it fine, I know. But seriously can you feel the 80’s love. The dress comes with sculpted pockets also , but as you can see you can detach those and have it more slimline, the belts OMG the twin belt is fantasticalafabulous. YOU MUST MUST MUST go grab the pack of those, all colours and a steal.
A sale at Aoharu means you must grab all the socks you can carry, seriously she has this knack of making socks just look heavenly. I grabbed a few other goodies, I have no idea what is staying or what is being taken away, so do not miss out on this sale. Hair is also part of it as well as shoes, so grab as much as you can at the saving.

Oh Caroline – a
There are times when you have to look at your friends list a few times, to really absorb how eerily silent it seems. Then I remind myself that it is because people are creating, usually after a release that’s when they get more actively on and off, popping up a few times a day.
One of the designers I notice this with the most is Torie of Bebae, I don’t know what it is, but I can generally tell when she is starting, in the middle of, or close to completion of a skin, just by how often she is online. I leave her be until it gets to that point when I think she is close, and sure enough I am usually correct lol.
The New Erin skin, just recently released is the latest in the Bebae line. The Erin skin comes in a beautiful collection of tones, with lovely soft make ups. Each skin has four options, two kinds of brows, with and without lashes. With and without lashes is a relatively new thing, not new as a concept, but new as an option, many keep their lashes sliders way down in shape options, and there are those that keep them ultra long, but regardless often they can get in the way of your alpha prim ones, or can just effect your overall looks.
The detailing on the body of Erin is wonderful as usual, the belly button is adorable, and the shading to the stomach gives a healthy without overly fit look. The attention to detail in the shading on the breasts is also very indicative of her overall care taken to the bodies of her skins.
Always back and forth on the whole shaved vs not shaved thing, the Erin is a win for me again lol. I won a few skins ago and then she took back my winnings, and then back and forth she went, she is a nutter – yes you Torie 😛 .
As usual you should really take the time to try on as many of the DEMOS of Bebae skins as you can, take them home with you, run around your house nakey, do whatever you need to.
The make ups as I said are really lovely, the softness to them makes them perfect for everyday wear, whether work or play. In this insidence it would be considered play, with the Caroline and Emily range from Insolence.
Incredibly beautiful Satin sets in the Caroline release, with the bra and camisole tops and matching panties, or the lace and floral softness of Emily. Both sets are divine, and can be worn as undergarments or additions to a look, such as a business suit with a peak of satin showing through the slightly agape fitted jacket. It all works and is incredibly feminine as Insolence always is.

Strapped
It’s raining, it’s pouring, New Poses coming sooooon la la la la la laaaaaaa. As much as it is easier to do full sets, you know straight out of the folder, wear. There has to be separates, you know the pieces that become such staples in your inventory, that you really can’t imagine living without them.
A lot of the LeLutka release past and present is like that, I can’t imagine life without my Olympia pants from the spring collection, I am thinking that for many, the Nakita Jackets are going to be like that too. The Jacket is wonderful for casual or dressy, and over something or solo as shown.
One thing that I will have to mention, is that I did have to mod the lower sleeves, Thora has a very unique shape, and as much as I didn’t have to mod anything else really size wise, arms in anything with sleeves and cuffs I have had to. I actually like the puffy look that I ended up with, whether it is supposed to be that much, or not, I am keeping it that way, it gives more reality to the satin style texture.
Also a separate the Margoux pants, pantaloons at their finest these are fabulous. The Nakita jackets also have a stripe down the back, so I was able to match up the gold pants to that in the blue jacket. A lot of this collection is colour compatible, so that is tres handy.
The layered tier look of the Paras dress, has a flapper like visual, but as it is sculpted no real movement , but definitely creates a lovely silhouette. The contrast colours are very well done also, and the length and fit was a breeze.
The strapped up and ready for action QI dress is a little naughty first impressions wise, there are prims at the top portion of the dress, needing more attachment points, but even without as worn in green, the dress style still works well, allowing you to still wear jewelry.

Funk On
I think all three looks today are more about dressing for yourself, rather than for the company you are keeping. Often we tend to wonder what will appeal to the partners we have, or the friends we socialise with, sometimes you just have to get your own funk on.
All about tude and these three dresses have lots of that, while still keeping true to the girly girl. It started being about the skins, then the clothes and then not so surprising the hair took over, and wow what hair. Yeah slowly I know I am making my way through my Hair Fair folder, but thats the fun of the whole thing, I can keep working my way slowly through it, and it makes every folder a brand new experience all over again.
It’s 11am and my day is pretty much at an end, but because of these looks I really haven’t wound down at all, in fact I want to start all over again. Ok now that I have pinched half my friends list on the bum – just because – I have a little less energy lol.
Creative hair like these styles make me so glad I get to be a resident here, diversity isn’t just about where you are from, and mixing with other nationalities, I think it’s about trying new things for yourself as well, things that may not always be available to you.
Also the hair base on these skins as an option in brown, blonde or red, definitely do give the hair a little something more. Make sure when you are demoing hair with hair bases on, you really wear a hair style that will benefit from having such a skin, it will give a little something extra to so many styles.
I took the Seductiva AO for another spin today, capturing different looks within the same animations. If you haven’t been to Red Queen to see how much fun they are, you really need to, and take your men with you, they have male AO’s that are just fabulous.
