Wow did I cap today, I am so glad that we have IM to email and so on..because without it you wouldn’t even know what it is that does cap. Those that don’t have it activated, I honestly don’t know how you survive, it is how I prepare for my day… I would be too scared to log in blindly lol.
So after I sorted through all of that, and did some What’s New SL work I met up with Ashia Tomsen for a natter. We were hanging around, catching up on some stuff I had missed, and then decided to go shopping. I hadn’t been to the Winter Sale at Creators Pavillion yet (yes they spell it with two L’s that’s why I can never find it in search) so we headed over there.
While there I couldn’t help myself but venture quickly over to Switch the sim next door, owned by the same group. I ventured into MNK and it was how I put this look together. Inspired by the tweed shorts, knowing that I could have another fun reason to put on my hat/hair from Maitreya.
Then there was instant and undeniably ooooooooo worthy love. My eyes caught the Knit Sweater hanging on the wall, looking all divine and stuff. It comes in other colour combination’s, but this was the one for me. the two layered look is just bliss, not only the overall structure of the sweaters combo, but the knit pattern as well, I mean this is such a traditional piece, it was like revisiting a long lost friend.
There are two options for wear, same with the shorts. The short version, and the longer with belt version. you can even wear it without the under layer long sleeve black top. The price will make it a must have for you, as do the prices throughout that store.
One thing I have to point out though, due to that awful bug we had a long time ago, where prims didn’t match texture, and tinting grey was the norm…a lot of stuff still has that tint on it, and sometimes the tint was added in ps to accommodate, which means that you cannot match it to texture so easily. For me it was a case of needing to instead tint the pants layers – thank god for mod – in appearance mode, to get the prims to match the texture. This wont be the case for all, as we all see things different, but just to let you know, that is an option if needed.
Revisiting another favourite, in the form of the Persona Pin Up skin by SODA. When these were released it was, and still is, instant appeal. The full lips, the incredible features to the face, and sexy body shading. The options that you get in the pack is awesome also, with each single you get four lips. so if you were to get the fat pack you get over 30 skins, and yes, down there is perfect for whatever and however your clothing is cut lol.
There are others in the series, Pin Up, Model and Girl Next Door…as well as her other skin lines. I cannot wait for a new release that I heard whispers of are coming soon.

I bet you didn’t even know she made clothes. Ok maybe many of you do, but still this jacket/shirty thing is hot. Earlier today I got an IM from a reader who also happens to be a designer I have featured here before, she was looking for the New collection of work from OhMai creator, Anya Ohmai. I do so love how Second Life creators, are often the biggest fans of other designers. I mean for the most part it is how they come to be designers themselves, or how they show off the own creations with the added benefits of beautiful clothing, skins, hair etc.
So anyway I TP’d over to Anya’s store to show her, and she was kind enough to show me her new Amy dress, totally a fun outfit, that you get with leggings and their great belts (not shown), I really like the gathered look of this dress, and you just know it’s that crazy insanely soft fabric that just caresses the skin – shivers. Adding the right kind of accessories, you can play it up or down, it is that versatile.
I am wearing some new Clawtooth by Clawtooth hair today, and some old lol. But wanted to let you know that his main is again open at Tableau just in case you missed the news. I must say I was surprised that he has now got different Demo’s to show his wares, I won’t ruin the new one by telling you what it is. But also there are new hair texture colours available, so new packs to explore.
I ran into Torie Senne today, yes there she was bigger than Texas on my friends list lol, for me that is running into you, because I don’t have my online offline thing turned on, so if I happen to have the list open and see you on, when I haven’t for some time, I get all ‘well howdy you’. I have this thing when it comes to Torie though, it never fails that I will be thinking about her and wondering why she hasn’t been online, and voila next day or so she appears and usually working on a new skin.
She is, and this isn’t it…but I felt like dressing up in my Fabia skin anyways.
Now back to the one you may not have known makes clothes. You all know Zoe Demar, she is the super talent behind many magazine layouts and fashion spreads, as well as in store promotions, and an incredible amount of contests won. If you don’t believe me go look yourself HERE .
Anyway, Zoe also blogs and during bloggers appreciation week, which now seems so long ago, she sent out a little gift of thanks to all. It was this awesome cowgirl Madonna inspired shirt. Seriously can someone closer to that girl do their duty and bully her into making more clothes?. Worn here with my favourite cords and belt – Celestial Studios is still having that sale by the way – and the stunning Esprit Shoes by Maitreya Gold. I stepped off my VR Foundry Professional Pose Studio, and decided I looked too yummy to take anymore pics.

ColeMarie Soleil I met over a year ago, she was all a sparkle and incredibly friendly and fun. I was able to visit her sim with her and some other friends, such as Tesla and Kriss, and marvelled at the beautiful mind that she puts out into our 3D environment. Since then I have been more and more amazed by her talent, she is a celebrated Machinimist amongst not only Second Life residents, but recently got a first life project due to her creative talent. This latest offering from ColeMarie is as beautiful as any I have seen from her in the past, and features the music of Emilie Simon, who I am a fan of, and have often thought needed to do a music clip in world. The song is beautiful and the Machinima is outstanding. Click the pic to watch.

blog – After the Party was over
So last night at The Deck Cajsa Lilliehook of It’s only Fashion, and her partner in crime Gidge Uriza held a Burlesque event.It was so much fun, Whimsy, Ashia, Sofia and Mel did an incredible job setting up, it was a definite transformation to the once open space Deck House.
We had a fantastic night, with Cajsa playing the most amazing DJ set, the music was fantastic…for me who is not into doosh doosh doosh lover, I was in music heaven. We had so many lovely guests turn up, and dressed to impress which was so much fun. That was the whole idea for Cajsa wanting to do it, so I am glad that many made that effort.
I awoke to not only an offline from Whimsy declaring that she must have more parties, which we are excited about…and of course the latest release from Fri.day which to me was the perfect snuggle wear for the morning after. Comfy zip up pullovers, 3/4 sweats that are that nice soft tshirt fabric that aren’t too heavy…and adorable arm warmers, in both plain and nordic, yay for more Nordic to combine with other styles.
As well as NEW HAIR, this style being an ever so cute pinned and clipped style, that could totally be the aftermath of last nights bob from Lamb. I wanted to show what I ended up wearing for the event too, I have blogged the Burlesque set from House of Nyla in the past, but it is so sexy it gets another shot. The fans I have on are part of a free item from Four Yip, all her items are free and I couldn’t have had so much fun decorating if it wasn’t for her incredible gifts to Second Life, her generosity and creativity is exceptional, thank you.

blog – I can has level 80 now ?
I love drama, I love it in my daytime soaps, I love watching it unfold as a backstory for characters in a series, even if the series is so not drama focused. I LOVE LOVE LOVE teen angst Drama, excuse me Gossipgirl you can Ex Oh Ex Oh me seven days a week – pouts because I miss my fix – and I mean OMG don’t even try and tell me you weren’t loving the whole; she slept with him… but really it was her sister pretending to be the neighbour drama.
There is no new drama really, it all seems to have come from the oldest of sources. For me I would consider the Opera to be one of those, I mean woah, that is some kind of messed up drama up there. Seriously though if you have your own passion for Drama, you should check out this link, it can get you started on writing your own Soap, what fun.
As soon as I saw this combination from LeLUltra (LeLutka) collection, I thought instantly of a girl taken by some dastardly demon boss, who she then escaped from and formed her own rebellion against his tyranny. Yes I have been playing too much WoW lately. I mean seriously if that isn’t a high level Mantle I don’t know what is – snickers because some hunter was all up in my stuff about needing and greeding last week, and I so don’t give a rats, but told him if he came near my SL inventory I would kill him.
The incredible structure to this set is just gorgeous, the lower hips portion is so visual of a full blown gown skirt, or at least the support under frame, which has been discarded to kick bum. I love it, and I also love that fitting it was a breeze, I actually don’t think I had to resize it at all. The clothing layers would actually be incredibly wearable on their own, or using the top with some tailored pants, ala Greta Garbo.
Now the skin I am wearing I first saw mentioned by Achariya <3 , she was all secret squirrel business about a friend/creator etc etc, and then Ashia was all squeeling up in my box about needing to know who the creator was…we were actually guessing, which was fun. I guessed Hya because of the bird reference.
Anywho, Achariya and I chatted about it, and it is of course Fade Lei , the sister of Fade Dana, the wonderfully talented creator behind The Hat Mechanic. So I was all like day after her post, I am so blogging that, and then Newdoll TP’d me to her store – they are really good friends too – and I tpd Mel – seriously the way Fade and Mel hit it off I was in awe of her banter and skin making skills, they were fast compadres , if she is now serving hobo pies it would be because of him lol.
I was trying on all the skins, and loving the detailing that was done on the face, as well as what I could see of the body, and then I found my one, the Yasmin, you see Fade only wanted to do pale, a hundred different shades of pale if she could get away with it, but she did Yasmin under duress and it was a win for me. I snapped up a pack – the prices are crazy low – and then we spent even more time there, just chatting with Newdoll and Fade, but it was more Mel and Fade lol.
While I wouldn’t wear many of the make ups full time, I did wear this black liner, black lips for a couple of days straight, yeah I know I have been slack keeping them all to myself lol. The bodies of these skins have a light tan lines effect, not overly done, just subtle realism, to show that yes we do wear undies. The shading and work overall is splendid actually, I cannot wait to see where Fade takes her store, direction wise I think she is spot on doing her own thing as it comes, and it shows, she is a delight to meet, so if you do have the chance to natter with her do.
With this outfit and the New hair from Exile, isn’t it adorable, I am so feeling like a Yodel. Traveling south though, if you have a thing for over the knee boots, and latex then these are a find…well not so much a find as I already shop in the store lol, but these were the latest releases my last visit, again me keeping things from you :P. Totally perfect for kicking people that need it.

Today is the day, there was whispers of the 3rd, but seriously why have New years come and go without such delights. Now I am already in the sin bin over there, like seriously on the verge of getting pummeled, but that’s ok because I got to play with pretties.
Reasons why you need to get out the virtual cheque book and buy it all. Reason one is because it is an incredible collection. Reason two is that it all inter mingles so well with eachother. Reason three would have to be, because it inspires you to go further and do more.
Prison is the gown, or I should say demi gown up the top, now it comes as shown on the left of the picture, but the talented designers of Thora and Minnu decided that there should be a long and a short version, so the talented me decided that meant I could make a contrast combo.
I am all for the modifying of greatness, and with these it was painless. I attached the short layer to the stomach, the long is already on the pelvis, and then selecting edit linked parts, I shrunk the top two levels of the long underneath. Voila we have more options, and the chance to wear them more often lol.
The tops I am wearing are part of the Constrict gown shown below, see mixy matchy all over the place. The Neckless in black steel I also modified, after taking a copy, yes I took copies of everything before I did this, then added a silver steel texture to just the long metal pieces. I was on a roll.
Clean out what you have to , and make room for this collection, the timeframe for release is noon slt, it may be a little bit later in the day, but whatever happens, make sure you are ready. New Years Eve is going to be incredibly elegant and wild, and if you don’t think so then you are in serious need of inspiration and this collection I hope does it for you, it sure did me.

Christmas day I was watching telly with my Mum, and I got so excited, because of all things to put on TV Christmas Day here, Breakfast Club was a shock. Usually TV sucks that day, but someone was doing their job, and doing it well. What blew me away the most was, listening in awe to Judd Nelson, and remembering crushing so hard on his character back then, but totally being like WOAH Gobsmacked at the fact he was the one to coin the phrase EAT MY SHORTS!.
Seriously there it was in super sound, he straight out told that cranky Principal guy to do so. There was me all a twitter, flapping about to my Mum, and all traumatised really that I a big 80’s fan didn’t remember it was him, and NOT Bart Simpson. So that got me thinking, that maybe the people behind The Simpsons were in fact die hard fan of John Hughes, but then who wasn’t *waves to Achariya.
So now due to all that flailing, I am of the conclusion that not only is Bart Simpson an ode to Judd Nelsons Character John Bender, but I am absolutely positively convinced that Principal Skinners character is an exact duplicate of Principal Richard “Dick” Vernon’s .
So instead of eating some today, lets wear some. Firstly though, as much as I love love loved, the Shearling Coat shorter version, the long is just sublime. I mean, what is not to love, the soft leather/sheepskin look is fantastic, and I even love how the inside pieces of the sheep skin itself is kind of discoloured, just as it would be RL. The Knit Dress with chain belt, is also super fab, allowing for a tennis dress style look, with a over sized cowl neck. I really like that this was created sans sleeves, because otherwise wearing it under such a coat would become too bulky.
The chain belt is scripted to be worn with or without the fob chain look, and in gold and silver options…very handy and of course wearable with a multitude of items. The second look I love so hard, I would totally wear this all winter in both lives. The Tartan twill like shorts are a find and a half, the store was a cam find of Whimsy’s the other week when we went on our big day out. But the shorts were only in their main, and I am so glad we decided to visit it too, that’s the perfect thing about satellites, they catch the interest of the shopper, and even if they don’t buy up big in them, they certainly make up for it when they tp.
Even more exciting was finding that the gorgeous handbags by BareRose came in an almost identical print, was just drop down awesome. If you haven’t spun by the BareRose Couture store lately to snap up all the bags, you are really doing yourself a diservice. I really am having troubles taking the Saffron Pumps by LeLutka off my feet the last few days, the colours that were released yesterday are fantastical, and if you are or plan to be a member of the LeLutka Group in world, make sure you snap up their gift of the Soft Green pair, WOOOHOOO Green lovers you will be soooooo wrapped in these.
Another beautiful skin by YS & YS , the structure of the face, the multitude of options, make these a skin store to really spend time in. Their newish mainstore is really spacious, so spending a long time there testing out faces of the skins wont get on your nerves, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery outside too.

Vaudeville, from 1880 until the 1930’s was north americas top form of entertainment. Now it’s reality TV, and even virtual worlds – no real statistics were used in the making of this post – which kind of makes sense really. Live entertainment is hard to edit, which allows for a higher level of shock value, the pie in the face probably being the most famous vaudeville slapstick carry on.
Designers United III is a themed event that happens every few months, where a team of designers get together under one banner, and one idea and expand upon it… I find this concept fascinating to watch, and my only displeasure is that they don’t spread it out a bit further than one location. Even going so far as to maybe even showcase an item or two of another designers in their own store. Kind of a relay of sorts, if you went to one designer participants store you would find items from the event of a different designer. So for those wanting only one designers items would actually have to go to a completely different store, which could make them a new fan…now that to me would be a way to unite.
Ok rambling aside, and totally they are doing an incredible job, the last two events were superb and this one is shaping up to be incredible. What a theme for this time of year, it really is a time to get out of your comfort zone and party on. Showing some items from Royal Blue creator Marni Grut, who has been invited to participate this time around.
The first combo is so adorable and cutesy. I mean if you are going to put that much tulle under a skirt why not flip it up and show it off lol. I love this idea, it is so fab and allows you to show off your knickers. It is totally a Kewpie doll effect, I could be perched on the top of a cane at the Royal Easter Show for sure – yes our versions wore cute little flip dresses.
Marni has created a slew of hats and headbands for this event also, the overall favourite for me, and OMG we got Whimsy in a Hat, is The Narator. This hat is a MUST HAVE , it’s design is just fantastically inspired, and for those that love the written word, and stories of old, well it just makes sense you would love this too.
Seeing as Vaudeville was a total merging of all the different types of entertainment of the time, from theater to freak shows, The Illusionist mask kind of represents that ideal perfectly, also the other pieces together gave me the idea of a magicians assistant, with a more modern take. I have to admit I kind of feel like a bit of a superhero in this get up too, or at least I could ride a mean trapeze – as long as it had good poseballs of course.
Last week Rosemary Galbraith of Cupcakes IMd me for a chat about her upcoming skin range, by the time we were finished brainstorming, it had pretty much been completely reworked, and some new ideas for the finished product emerged. I was glad to see this week that all that work came through with a beautiful product.
The Darling Collection has two different noses, for those that want a bit of ethnicity in their skin range, as well as a more Caucasian look. The brows are tintable with different colours provided, and now with shaved as well as a definite lingerie friendly down there, seeing as the store does do their own range of swimwear and lingerie that was something that we discussed.
So many tones to choose from, as well as really lovely make ups, this is a definite step forward for the Cupcakes range, and if you have not tried their skins in the past, I recommend doing so now. Also while you are there make sure and check out the clothes, they are so pretty.

Oh Oh Oh OooH Oh Oh
The release is fast approaching, the show featuring the latest releases from Anya Ohmai was such a huge success. Not just because of the production and new items; but also because watching someone emerge from; an up until then creator of more casual styles, into one of true glamor was a delight.
The Silhouettes collection was awe inspiring, but then so far everything Anya has done has done that. Myself IMing her at the opening of The Deck to tell her her avatar was adorable, to then her being everywhere. Her creations, blogging, art work and visual presentation has been captivating to say the least.
My favourite thing about this collection, is not just it’s overall sleekness, that of course is wonderful. Hats are going to be more popular too this coming year, big hats, small hats…sedate and over the top hats, Whimsy is going to love 2010 because it is going to be the accessories year for sure.

You know if you are going to own a dance pole, you best be having the wardrobe to back it up. I have this issue, it’s a sickness really, it is called Xstreet-itis, and it has gotten worse.
I have always used xstreet, but not to shop. Rarely if ever did I purchase off the website, but Fia and I used to use it as a big, and fabulous Second Life search engine. You of course can look up things like Jessica Simpsons Hot Pants, ok maybe not that broad a term, it isn’t Google after all. But you can search things such as Helicopters, Flying Boots and Reindeers that bling…you can search just about anything.
So anyway, over the years we would search, and then look up creators or names of stores that showed interest, the site was like a catalogue, and then off we would go. Lately though the site, has had all these crazy ways to entice you to drop cash there and then. Worse even is the deals that are only on there, not in the store, and yes I have checked to find that in store price was much higher than special on the site, in some cases – only on deals though not all items.
So anyway, lately I have been gathering bits and pieces, and often something will just jump out and grab me, just because it’s fun, inexpensive, or just because it looks sexy hot and I am in that frame of mind…Lucky Mel. Sometimes it can even be because an item within a set is what you want, and the price is low enough to get it just for that.
Whatever the reasons, I found this store, or maybe even Mel did. I really liked the outfit we got that day, and then a few days later Justice was looking for some items to wear to an event, and the store came to mind. So this time we went for a visit in world and sheesh a few lindens later I was packed full of racy clothing.
The bottom set is my favourite, you get both looks in the one, and it has a kind of vintage swimsuit cut to it that I love. The second set is just wicked, the detailing and cut outs work is wonderful, that is some great working of the template if you ask me.
I am wearing a Doll Key in the first pic, and this thing is so cool, we found it on one of our journeys. You can use the drop down to change the gem colour on these, and there are a lot of sizes to choose from in the set, but the wonderful and fun or stressful thing about it, is that it is a true wind up Doll Key, in otherwords, if your key winds down you stop moving, literally.
You cannot move until someone is kind enough to wind you up again, lol how much fun or frustration do you think that would bring on. Mind you if I was out and about, and came to a grinding halt, at least in these shoes I’d be stoked, seriously I cannot wait until the release of the New line from LeLutka’s LeLUltra collection, the Saffron Shoes are fantastic, and so sexy and high. There are even two toned ones, that just compliment not only the upcoming collection from them, but also the soon to be released Silhouettes collection from Anya Ohmai.
All of the poses I am using today are again by Luth Brodie, these are more of her Burlesque poses, these are so versatile, and with the vaudeville theme of Designers United, they would work a treat for that kind of pic taking too. Versatility in poses rocks, it is all perception and mine is always going to differ from yours.
I just heard from Minnu that the Saffron is slated for release Tomorrow , wooohooo.
