I’m in Chains
I am not sure how many hours until, but it is today. All of the fashion shows rehearsals have been filmed and all sorts of things are happening with Call for Couture, so keep your eyes on the blog for more info. Jewelry fair is in full throttle mode, and I heard that 10.10.10 starts today, which makes sense seeing as it is the tenth of the tenth in the 10th year. My understanding of that event is that you will be shopping a lot, and have the chance to get some great deals. What I do like, is that you will be shopping for other peoples items at other peoples locations, I once mentioned to an organiser of on of the weekly events that that would be a great way to get brand awareness for smaller stores. Anywho, on with the post.
Zaara has told me that this is her first short dress in three years, on thinking about it, I cannot remember ever having seen a short one from her, not this short anyway. It is the one on the left – like I needed to actually say that – the fabric is divine, and the use of chain like texture to add some oomph is just great, a fantastic clubbing dress, and uber sexy. Because of the neckline jewelry was a little more complicated, but I remembered the fun nails I picked up at Jewelry fair from U+R Dogs.
I have many sets of nails, but I don’t think I had any in multicolours, and these are fun and inexpensive, so I couldn’t resist. The new Maitreya Gold shoes FOXY that will be released at Call for Couture are as Onyx put it, the little sister of Shanti, which I myself think is great, I know how much people love Shanti, so to have an even sexier version is all win. They remind me of the movie In her Shoes, so if Shanti are Toni these are definitely Cameron.
The fat packs of Maitreya Gold are 50% less than buying one at a time, ok so here is why you will need to consider the fat packs straight away lol, they are texture change upper and lower. So that means with the all in one pair you get in every fat pack, you have many options for two tone or one wear. The singles are different having a base colour and then a few options to change one part, which is still wicked and gives you more than one shoe for your money. Either way they are the smex.
Just like the lips on the Clave skin by Mons, another Call for Couture item, this skin has adorable lips, and a great overall look. This is Mons pret a porter item at the fair, so make sure you try the demo’s. Adding a little bit more pink with my hair from Exile, both styles are today, but I wanted a similar pink to the lips so tinted the candy version of this cute as pigtails hair. Kavar the sexy male hair designer has his finger on the pulse when it comes to girly hair…and both these rock it.
Since starting WoW I actually know what Ganked means now, which is funny because when Whimsy screams in my ear about some crazy ‘several cusswords’ horde person ganking her, all I keep thinking is how did she get so lucky lol. The necklace I am wearing in the right pic is from of course Ganked, I don’t just ramble about things for no reason – ok sometimes I do, but this time it was a segway . Beautiful Cameo style necklace, with an elongated drop, because of which I did not wear the upper prim portion of the Simple Black Dress from Muism, believe me it is shaped beautifully, but because they did finish it off well, I was able to wear without. The dress is actually really cute split up into skirt and shorter top too.

Fan Flair
Usually I end with the bikini’s, don’t know how I ended up in reverse order this time, but seems to be the route I have been taking all week. Maybe I needed a tan first, who knows.
The kini from Cynful, as are all the clothing pieces today, actually gives two bottoms options. The string bikini or boyshorts look. Now while the boyshorts would be more preferable for those not wanting to reveal too much, we are talking Cynful here, so of course they have as much on display as they could lol. Luckily the Jade skin by TULI has the perfect derriere for such a display. The hair I am wearing is from Magika, and the style with the over the shoulder look, is perfect for swimwear, neat and pulled back, and then out of the way so you can get that all over back tan.
While I really like the pulled back and behind the ear look of the first one, the rockabilly sprayed with more product than should ever be allowed upswept bangs look of the next one is all love. The overalls all in one look on the left is great, easy to wear, add some jewelry, in this case from Ala Mood and you are off for a night out. Cynful does a lot of great denim, and these capris are fun too. Totally giving me the chance to show off my new thongs, these are from Addictia. They call them flip flops, I call them thongs. They are an all in one fake feet system. As you can see from the top pic you can choose to wear with the thongs or without, then also with beads and flowers or without.
Now these come in only three colour choices, pink, blue, or purple. Personally I would love to see white available, as it would go with more, as well as the ability to chose with or without the flower, because sometimes you just want beads. Maybe one day those options will come, there are also plug ins available for nail polishes and tattoos you can buy separate, for me it was all about the all in one. The other thing is that the big toe is big, and for me, I have a size ten foot RL, so delicate feet are more alien to me, so it was not a deal breaker, but there are demos, so be sure you look at them closely, so that you know you can live with it.
The other Jewelry I am wearing in the second pic, is also from AlaMood Boutique, it also matched perfectly to the dottsie top I am wearing, so cute and fun to wear. Lastly in Exile hair this time, these fab pigtail do’s are so fun, the pixie bangs on the left are still a fast favourite, I cannot get enough of the styles being created with those. The soft curls of the second look make you just crave to see it down. Very very short is the theme for the skirts in this pic, I am torn between the highwaist and the mini, as both have their pluses. The tops are a new sculpted fit top, easy enough to resize if needed, and a easy throw on wear.
The jewelry in this pic is from Gangked, incredibly over the top pieces that are fun to wear, and have very telling names, the one on the right had me awwwing and sad at the thought of it. Mercy heels by Orange Creations come in so many fab colours, that it was easy to match a pair to each look, and the skin tinting is a breeze with so many presets to choose from.

It is in the Melody
I love being able to modify stuff, especially when an idea you have works out. That was the case with todays look.
With the release of the halter tops by Fri.day had me wanting to stretch and try my hand at modifying one into more of a babydoll dress. Because of the flared out style of the sculptie, it was easy to do so, able to cover the hips and bottom with ease. Not wanting to go too long, because that would have changed the way it would have moved. This length allows it to not move around too much and take away from the look.
The only thing left to do is make sure that I was covered underneath, so I used the bodysuit from a previous release as a modesty layer. The hairstyles I am wearing are both from Hair Solutions, lately Kia has been releasing new hair at a much faster pace than the past, which is always great to see. The boots are the latest from Adam n Eve, booty bay boots, if you WoW you snickered like me I am sure. The boots come in either plaid or plain as a choice, and with much surprise they are mod, so even though red on the right, they were a little brighter than the rest of the red worn, so a quick change to the luminosity in edit tint, and voila, more matchy matchy.
Showing more of the beautiful Jade makes ups by TULI, this skin is so soft and pretty, but as usual Tuli has made sure that many different styles are catered to with the make ups, from soft and delicate to hard core rock girl, you have it covered. It is always great to have as many options as possible, without having too many of a particular style.

Share your heart – Mel, Fiachra, Ashia, Justice, Newdoll, Sofia, Whimsy and Gary
I am blessed every day, I have met the most amazing people through Second Life, some may not be as close to me as others but everyone of them holds a part of my heart. The ones that I spend most days with you all know of by name by now I am sure, I mention all of them so regularly that I hope you have come to realise already what they mean to me.
This post didn’t start out to be a YAY my Friends ROCK! post, but as I was uploading and looking over the pictures that I did tonight, I realised how much influence they have over my everyday, and especially my blogging. For a start they are all so incredibly talented, Mel with his creations and just overall knowledge on everything, he is a walking wiki, he is my heart and every day I get to spend time with him is magical even if he did call me screwby doo today – I have a random scooby laugh, but I swear he was saying I was nuts :P.
Fiachra and his beautiful jewelry, he has always been an incredible part of SL I don’t think I would have gotten through so many big changes without him… and his mind, which is very similar to Mels, so between the both of them I feel like a pinball at times; donking from one side to the other and TILT!
Ashia and Justice and their different way of looking at Second Life, their artistic passions that can range from the flowery and fluttery to the dark and bloody. I think everyone just thinks I don’t like that kind of dark art, it really isn’t that, it is that I cannot handle blood and a friend in the same pic, it breaks my heart. Ashia makes cusswords sound sexy and she has this way of picking you up and dusting you off and pushing you back into battle that is just so motherly she is so amazing and strong. Justice makes me laugh just thinking of her laughing, because when she does let herself stop working for long enough to have fun, she can power a small country with her chuckle. No one can rock out short hair like her, and her absolute bravado is just awesome.
Newdolly is that true friend that can go awol for a month or two, but is always there to count on. She does her own thing, has her own passions and when she shares she shares everything, you do not get only parts of Newdoll but all of her, and anyone who doesn’t see what a gift that is can’t be helped. Her art is fabulous and she can takes the erotic to a whole new level.
Sofia has such talent rolled into such an adorable package but so feisty. She knows how to take charge and get things done, and will help her true friends as much as she can, whether it be advice or skills she has, and she has the skills for sure. I adore spending time with her, as I do all my friends, she has a wit that is so dry she can send redbull flying out your nose at least twice a day.
Whimsy and Gary, such an adorable couple, you can practically set your watch by Gary, and I think Whimsy does. She spends all day doing her things she needs to do, and then when he logs on everything stops and being with each other is the theme. Things as simple as shopping or playing Greedy Greedy just become a little nicer when spent doing them with those two. Whimsy has talent she hasn’t even uncovered herself, but I see it every single day, just a little more shows itself and those close to her know and encourage it.
That is what friends do, that is what they do for me every single day. So when I finished taking these pics, and was looking them over after upload I realised that they are a bit of everyone of those people. They give me strength to do more, learn more, experience more…when I don’t blog for a few days it is because they will ALWAYS come first… I really do see their influence in what I do, I want them to know that. It is because of them that I want to be better in everything, and in reverse I am overjoyed with their successes that I want to believe they gain something from mine too, and to me just making a pretty picture and being so happy to have learned a new trick in PS or somewhere is a success.
So thank you to all of them, for holding my heart and sometimes filling it so full I cannot breathe. The others not mentioned know who they are, they know I love them dearly, because I tell them every time we talk.
The clothing in these pictures is all by Baiastice from the new couture collect recently released, such beautiful colours and very feminine, whether formal or warrior it all shines. I am using the new Amacci poses that have been released for Pose Fair, there is a new AO which some of them are from, and a new pose pack…the AO is called Posh and it is lovely to wear.
I had fun shooting these pics, going from place to place. Some places I had to use my VR Studio Mobile Library and some I could actually rez at, the wheat field let me rez it even said I could in the covenant, how cool was that.

Breathe in and HOLD
Purple Punishment week is almost over, but as I said before I am having too much fun. I still don’t think I will go to one purple as a first choice ever, but I don’t think I will entirely rule it out, and I love how the other ones look. Today somehow ended up being a corset post, I love corsets, in all of their styles, I especially love them when the designer makes them on all options, so that they work with everything, as was the case with these ones today.
With the Addict corsets in the first pic, it is lucky that Kianna did them on every layer including pants, so that I would be able to wear it over underpants layered jeans, and still wear the fabulous new no collar leather jacket by Aoharu, or if I had opted for a cardigan or shrug on the jacket layer. Layers really enhance the experience on how you can get the most out of your wardrobe.
The skinny jeans and frayed come on both pants and underpants layers, so this makes them fun and versatile too. I could have kept layering and mixing and matching these four pieces all day. The second pic veered away from the purple, but again showed the beauty of layer options. Wearing a cropped top on the jacket layer, over a corset on the pants and shirt layer, over a mini skirt on the underpants layer. Eclectic Apparel, Dark Eden and Urbanity all having layers for everything made that so possible. With the large expanse of skin in this look, you may be fooled into thinking not necessary, but the trim on the corset is actually on the underpants layer.
What is fun, is that the corset by Eclectic Apparel is in fact a full breast covering corset, but with the cropped shirt over the top, it looks like an underbust cinch belt style one instead. Whimsy and I took a trip to Xplosion, haven’t been since way back, and wow have they grown in leaps and bounds. Mind you the store was huge already, but I couldn’t resist the cute tank girl stockings, which don’t cover the feet, so I wonder if they are stockings at all, maybe calf coverings ? I don’t know, but they are hot.
Addict has been updating a storm lately, the doubs gloves are another of their great new releases, with either gold or silver buttons they can be fun and funky, or a little more stylised depending on look. I pulled out the older sculpted Anklets by Maitreya, I have not worn these in ages, and mentioned them to Newdoll the other day, and decided I needed to show them some love today.
A Bargain today is the Fawn hair in the last pic by Adam n Eve, this hair is great and it allowed me to get my Cher on. It is part of the 69L humpday promotion, so don’t miss out on the savings there. Other Adam n Eve items are the C ‘mere shoes I have so much fun with, as well as the leather pants which are just beautifully made. Dreams has released a new set of corsets as well this week, with houndstooth as shown as well as ribbed and animal prints.
I also have on one of the latest collars, neko style with adorable diamond paw print dangle. It comes with bling or no bling options, and has a colour change menu. Lots of fun and the cute Cat box that some of the neko items are packed in is awesome.
I love my Ife skins by LeLutka, but today went with the first love on that line Estella, with the beauty marks that are just so lovely. Great hair bases too, with light and dark options.
All my poses today were created by Miseria, I cannot wait until she produces more poses to play with, hopefully she is in the pose fair coming up on the 2nd of April , not sure though, will have to wait to see.

No Race Day
I love What’s New SL Group, biased maybe, but today I got to feature some people that I have explored as stores due to the group. What I love more though, is when people provide all info in notices…that’s what What’s New SL was mainly set up for…but when it actually happens, it is very cool. Such as sending all landmarks to different locations so that if I happen to be intending to go to one location and get a notice for a store there, I can pop into it while already there, yes that means updating satelites locations, but it is due to those that many of us find your mains anyway.
Rant, Rant, Rant…
It isn’t a race, I cannot be the only one that is out shopping ; hears that there is a new release by a certain store, and knows they have a smaller store where I am, run or cam over to see items that are six months old if not older, then just gets sadface. Yeah getting ranty, but seriously you people pay to have these locations represent your product, so why not set up newness at all your spots THEN send the notice ? in RL it is a lot harder to do that but they do, so why in SL where it takes ten seconds to tp to the other side of the grid would you not ?

In this case it was actually not just LM’s but Xstreet links, meaning I could buy right from my VR Studio, just opened browser and I had a new outfit…easy.Again the store owner is thinking of making the most of their announcement options, in not just What’s New SL but ALL marketing options they may have, in most cases you get one option to captivate a customer with your release, as they are usually getting dozens of shopping options per hour in SL…so giving them EVERY available way to spend their lindens with you is just common sense.

Again it is not a race, unless you have a fair deadline, or a collab project that HAS to go out at that exact moment, you should take your time, dot all your i’s and cross all your t’s , there are enough ways to promote your stores these days, that you could have info going out every day for a week to different customers. Next release I dare you to try it :P.
The first look is actually a new to me store, but yay for them joining What’s New SL . Not only do I really like the items she has for sale, but I love the Muhi store set up, and on inspection it is her that actually built it as well. This Asymetrical bodysuit is wonderful and actually has the option to wear as more of a jacket if you aren’t into the whole bodysuit look. Which with dress pants would look very dressy under the right circumstances.
The Sam dress by Elate I have had too long not blogged, shame. The Fleur de lis give this tshirt style dress a regal appearance. I do like that Kellie also took the option of plain back, as the all print look can sometimes be a bit too much. I am wearing some newly release jewelry from Ganked with it, in various forms, but I love the necklace the way it sits on the actual collar, because the way it is designed it has that shawl clip look as though more than a necklace but also an item that is holding the dress on the shoulders.
Loving the New Prestige Boots by Bax Coen in silver as much as I am ? Bax has also moved to her own sim this past week, so no more mainland lag for her. The colours that come with the silver and also gold are just lovely, one of the four not shown is actually stunning, but I am saving it – or savoring it . These will be released very soon, so just hold on tight until then, or just go explore the new sim :).
The skirt, or lack there of;Â is the item that I bought while taking pics. It is actually part of a set, and I am honest, I couldn’t tell you what came with the skirt because once I laid eyes on it, that was it *grabby hands. One of the older gartery tops from Cynful is Vogue, so many different options and layers in these tops, with and without lace, and in different coloured lace too. Talk about going all out to satisfy your customers, the most layers you do on everything, the more likely they are to be go to items for people that love layering and mixing and matching.
The scarf is so cute, it was actually at the accessory fair as a dollarbie, in white and black. Haunted Zuzu is an offshoot of Material Squirrel and I really admire Kala’s skills and exploration of new and innovative accessories, something as simple as a lace scarf can add so much to an outfit, this would be really nice too in place of a blouse collar, to give something older a fresh look.
Kissed by Lithium notices make me laugh, sorry but they do. It is not the products, but the way they go about making a new release sound like a must have prescription is too funna. I am a remiss in not blogging this set earlier, the Imovane set has the cutest baggy boardies with a lovely bikini in many colour options. Doing baggy is hard in SL because of how the mesh works, and I would like to see these worked on a little more to maybe incorporate a cuff, but for fun and frolicking in the surf they totally work.
Totally gave me a chance to wear my Gyala clog sandals by Enkythings. I love how Enktan managed to modernise the clog in this way, and the colours and base choices really work. The studs along the sides that show that these are true blog workmanship is just genius.
Spinning through this post with more Eva skins by Tuli, the make ups, skin tone and body all worked for this post so well. I was privileged to see a sneak peak at a new skin already in the works by Tuli the other night with Whimsy. It is like nothing Tuli has done before and it is amazing. Those looking for more from the brand will just be in awe of what is to come.
Magika hair love all over the place, they are having an insane SALE at the moment, so be sure you don’t miss out on that, the hair packs are slashed to clear lol J/K …argh imagine if we only got the chance to create so many of something, wow would SL be fight to the death.

Purple shades of Grey
Honestly if it wasn’t for the generosity of the designers that send fat packs to be blogged, I would have a hard time doing this so called punishment purple week. But luckily they realise that we can go back to an item long after originally being posted, and feature a colour we may not have shown the first, second or third time, nothing like that added exposure to your brand lol.
It is also the easiest way to send stuff ….right click take copy of the vendor and send, easy done, no need to make up folders and stuff …I don’t know how people keep all that stuff straight sometimes. It is also wicked for making back ups of your vendors as singles for customer care and sending to an alt, but me and my belief on all designers sending everything they make to alts is a whole different post.
It is fun revisiting older items, especially as it is something I enjoy doing often, showing older things so they can become new to someone. Such is the case of the top in the first pic, and the bottoms in the second. With some newness thrown into the mix.
The pencil skirt by CoCo is new, and wow on the fabulous shading on the system portion…system skirts aren’t easy, and we are lucky to have some incredible designers who appreciate them, so they do them well. Purple and Grey go so well together, it is actually purple that I think does such beautiful colour contrasts, think Purple and Yellow, Purple and Pinks. It also gave me a chance to wear the lovely Ganked jewelry set – see I do buy purpley things – and these very cool new Homespun glasses, very cool shape and texture change options for frames and lenses.
Ok it’s a bit nuts, I am still awake and of course seeing everyone from your yesterday again already after they have slept, even though it is still my today, which is now your today, but was your tomorrow a few hours ago :P.
Ok so what was I saying ? oh yeah….the second combo again using grey and purple, is actually part of a set up top, from Crazy – fun store that one – and the bottoms are from BOOM, which I so neat because I was only thinking about BOOM earlier today and up they popped when I searched purple.
I did some tinting – YAY FOR MOD – with the beads and the armwarmers. The hair didn’t need it as the fabulously floppy bow in the Dorothy hair by Magika actually had a perfect plum in the texture change menu.
I am wearing the new skin by LP Designs, these skins have a cleavage that is made for a much larger bust than mine, but with the right outfits you can totally work it. I really enjoyed the fun purple make ups on both of these skins. There are actually three in the release , in two tones each and a handful of lovely make ups. DEMOS DEMOS DEMOS and especially if you like a skin that enhances your bust , these ones certainly do that and more.

Clothing Fair pt 1
Wowza, I have no idea what time I started, but I am seriously starting to see spots I have spent so much time taking pics. So damn worth it though. The talent new and older at this years Clothing Fair to raise funds for Relay for Life, is off the hook Yo! – I think I watched too much Scrubs this week .
Many of the items being shown are from RFL vendors at the fair, so the money goes to help Relay for Life. I blended in a lot of Accessory Fair items at the same time, lol two birds and all that jazz.
The first outfit is Nyte n Days RFL item, a special colour from the New Release Nyte did yesterday. I just had to have this look, as the top is just perfect for lots of things, and the shorts are musts. I especially like the thin belt and matching choker parts, as they make great accessories to use with other items.
The hat/hair is from accessory fair, and by the talented Plurabelle of Bliensen + Maitai , the hat also comes without hair, but it is such a cute bob in this cabaret style, and as they are mod you can edit as I did to match your outfit.
The Earrings are also from there, and have a hollywood theme to them, and are just perfect jangle earrings. With the outfit I am wearing stockings and garters from another Nyte n Day set, thats also at the fair…leading downwards to the gorgeous new shoes by Urbanity. Their first foray into footwear and so sexy with those super duper tall heels. I had to get them in this colour as Mel liked it so much, and it ended up matching perfectly with the clothing, so how is that for luck.
The skin I am wearing is also from Clothing Fair, and also a RFL item and incredibly priced. The Plus skin Hope by Sn@tch is just gorgeous and I ended up keeping it on for the whole post. The lovely lips and mesmerising eye make up are just wonderful combination’s for a RFL skin, so make sure you try the demos available.
Now onto pic two & three , fasten your seatbelts it is a long ride today.
Kate had us at OMG, Whimsy and I snapped it up on the naughty, as we got to the fair earlier than we should have, don’t panic we only stayed long enough to see two stores and then left. All the different notices and what not confused us mixed with timezones etc.
This set was designed especially for the RFL item, and is just HOT HOT HOT. It is by Indi designer Jamie Holmer, and we are so glad that Indi got the London sim location, because if not english the sim definitely made an impact. Not lost on me that trafalgar square the home of the Punk Culture of the 80’s is right outside the door lol.
The jacket and all those pieces are just fabulous, and the boots I am wearing are also from Indi and at the fair. The Lombardi booties come with two options, studded and not, studded shown with the Kate set, and without in the next pic. Quickly though how HOT is the new Drew hair by Exile in the pic, mans hair that totally needs to be shot with a girl, Kavar you so need to do unisexy vendor pics , your short styles are wicked on women.
Not a RFL item, but totally at the fair, the Freya set by Indi is OMG also HOT HOT HOT. I am so in love with the jacket especially in the brown, it is like vintage leather and yummy, and snuggly and just sexy. You get most of what you see in the set, the jacket YUM, the two coloured tanks with their ripped look of more YUM, the pants, and the belt…and the variations and layering options are well taken care of, going above and beyond.
Teaming it up with the Turquoise Jewelry from Ganked I was so loving this look I could have stopped there. Everything was working, the way the booties fit under the pants cuffs, the jacket and hair, it was enough to want to make me convert my whole style. Actually now looking at it in print, I would have to say I was channeling Jeli as this would so suit her down to the ground.

Now this dress was just too charming to not snap up, Vitamin Ci releases some beautiful pieces, and this is no exception. I love the style of the shorter dress, with the slit in the front to the side, the billowy sleeves and the option to wear jeans underneath if you can’t do mini, that come with. Very retro in colour pallette it is definitely a fun choice for the fair. I am actually wearing a wide leather belt over the top of the dress, it doesn’t come like that, but the belt pack from Sascha Designs is just gorgeous and a steal at the price. I used it to bring together the leather in the boots, and it really did ad a bit of a different look to it overall.
Playing on the red, I went with more beautiful pieces from Ganked and the uber cute new glasses from Sand Shack Surf. These are rose tinted only to enhance your look on the world, not to cloud it. Also from the accessory fair I got another cute hairstyle from CriCri, one of many…and people if you have it, and you didn’t look past the hair OMG the trolley that comes with is super awesome with an inbuilt AO that is just wild fun. Honestly if you have no love for any of the hair – don’t know how that would be possible – buy one anyway just to get the trolley , trust me.
CriCri hair is option city, you not only get to click to change colours in the pack you chose, but also in some cases change bangs, and add or remove bows and ribbons and whatever else they added…too cool.

Ok the best thing about fairs like Clothing Fair, is the little stores you would otherwise never ever come across. That happened more than once last night, but this one was the first. It is Tomoto and the dress I have on is just sweet and really pretty. The way it moves is divine, and the almost glettering star/diamonds are done in such a way as to move on their own, it is really like watching a star filled sky.
I hadn’t been to P/a in ages, so to see newness by them at the Accessory Fair I was happy as a clam. This neck frill like choker in peacock feathers no less is wonderful. I love the idea that you could add it to a steampunk style blouse instead of the collar it may come with , and totally come out with a new look.
Ok I am going to have to break this into two parts otherwise it will be hell.

That Coat
So with all the buzz about the Oscars, I was planning a post based on looks you can do for them. Formal, Semi Formal, or just downright vintage casual. But then the post took on a mind of it’s own due to the coat I picked up last night while gallivanting around with Whimsy.
She looks so pretty in her Oscars look, but we ended up doing one of our sim hopping, this store leads to another, and as I said, it ended up all about the coat. I could go on for days with looks with this one. It is that perfect old suit coat that I love thing happening, and the possibilities with it are endless.
The coat is from Luster, the recently rebranded store, with items by Lo Jacobs. We had actually gone to Tableau because Nylon had released some newness – yes got some of that too – and I took off across the street and took Whimsy with me, she got all coated up too with a different style, but this one is the icing on the cake so to speak for mix and match brilliance.
We then ended up at Mischief Boy, a new to us Hair Store, so new in fact that I think they were still setting up. The hat hair screamed Benny & Joon to me, and if you are a movie buff you will know exactly what I mean…so I was off and running in that tangent. Then next door to that we found another store so new that their vendors weren’t set for sale yet, but there it was, like a beacon calling to me the Tie Shirt. Off we went to their main and bamm it was mine.
Seriously it is bloggers fate as I call it, as no real effort was made, the items were just everywhere I went, in perfect harmony. I got home and was thinking pants, I did kind of want to do a gaucho kind of look at first, but then I remembered that MichaMi was having a retirement sale on some of her items, so off I hopped and grabbed the black version of the fabulous Stella suit. The half off sale makes everything you don’t have a must…and when the suit was released I tried to behave and not go auto for the black, so yay a bargain – lol MichaMi is a bargain full price, I am just playin.
Running to the middle me, that dress underneath, kind of reminded me of a tux, with the coat over the top, so adding my big mod bow I was a mix and match equivelant…kind of clubby, kind of fun. Speaking of fun, OMG that hair, seriously it’s a treasure of a style…so pretty in fact that it is supposed to be worn with an attachment of butterflies, but I will save those for another day.
The hair I got at the Accessory Fair that is on at the moment. Whimsy and I went a few hours ago, and it was really lovely to spend that time moving in and out of the stores. One bit baffled me though, I looked at Map to realise there were actually two parts to the sim for the fair, but I couldn’t work out how to get to the second without flying over the buildings in the middle – I could have looked it up in search I guess, but I was worried I wouldn’t get back in.
Anyway it was a Jewelry store called SyDS! That I got the Hair in, and lucky for me, we spent so long outside waiting for the gorgeous rings we bought to rez, that the hair finally rezzed inside…no demos that I could see but YUM, what a gamble and the price is wonderful.
The other stunning item I got at the fair were from Ganked, I think we bought everything in there. This is the Pomp set, and it is just so elegant with all the shiny, but also costumey enough to wear in this way, which means it will get worn more often than your regular formal jewelry probably does.
My major excitement earlier in the week was over the hat on the left. Four hats to be exact, from Sascha’s Designs. As soon as I saw them announced I was off and running. The style of them, the textures used totally had me thinking I was going to end up broke by the time I left, but the prices of them will shock you if you are a hat lover, I wont spoil the surprise just get on over there.
Veil style pillbox hats like this one are always a must have, this one being a tad oversized than a traditional pillbox , but that is what makes it even more fabulous. Sascha says she has plans for more of these, and I cannot wait, it will totally sate my hat cravings I have on occasion that just leave me usually depressed. I may just have to save on wearing the others until one of those days, and then I can smile big and happy.
