blog – Sprinkle your stores
I was talking earlier about the fun that is shopping. Sometimes it is fast paced, you find a new store, or visit one you know you love already and the right click buy is faster than gunfire.
Then there are those days you really get to enjoy a store, looking at it not only for it’s creations, but it’s whole aesthetics. Quirky little charms, and a real feeling that you are in the space of someone that wants to share with you the whole experience of their passion.
Unfortunatly though, due to prim limits and expense, you cannot always add or do what you wish you could. The quirk or little parts of yourself cost extra, and sometimes – and especially with newer stores – that can cost more than you have to bargain with.
Recently I went to look at some skyboxes with Whimsy, it was actually before the new year lol, so not so recent recent. There was one in particular that I loved, not just for the design, but because the creator put a bit of her own heart in the build.
It was a poem that the builder had taken and rewritten onto the texture of one wall, the house of course came with a version without. But this kind of touch completely made the house a home.
I think stores should look like stores, I am not saying run out and redo your whole shop in personal house like looks – eeks at livingroom wallpaper walls in a store – but add a splash of you to it. Some of you may remember MAD Magazines. I was comic mental as a kid…and would totally spend hours now reading them too if I had the same access to them I did then.
If you do, then you will remember the little miniature cartoons that ran up the sides of the page. They were so incredibly detailed and often had their own little story going on, but they were also not a distraction from the main pages themselves, just extra sprinkles if you will.
Whippet & Buck has such sprinkles, one in particular makes me smile every time I visit the store. I once read a twitter from Dakota Buck alluding to her love for Project Runway, this was when the show first came about. I have only recently ever watched it, and I was so entranced by the whole thing, it is an incredible show…not your normal reality TV crapola.
Now that I have watched it enough, that sprinkle stands out to me, speaks to me about passion. To those that have never seen it the same thing just works within the store environment. But those that have will smile, and know a little more about the girls behind Whippet & Buck, and that one thing makes them real.
I bought the fat pack of the beautiful new cropped bustier, and knew that it would have so many fun uses. This is just one.
Have a Passion Filled Day!

Blog – Waxed
Sometimes you can find a piece of clothing, that has been constructed to not wear as it’s own item only, but definitely as an enhancement piece for many…allowing you to merge different pieces, and even different designers together.
One such piece that evokes that for me, is the Mia Corset pants by LeeZu. This corset under the bust style, that flares out into a ruffled shorts romper look is just fabulous, and even better is the high side slits, keeping it sexy and alluring.
I teamed it up with an equally sexy dress from BOOM that allowed me; due to it being mod, to shorten it enough that it didn’t show through the slits on the side of the pants.
I am also wearing the fantastic NEW La Vivien boots from Courtisane , these come in a lovely range of colours and feature the lovely work of both Enktan Gully and LeeZu Baxter. The boots are a slouched ankle boot look, with detailing in both the texture and addition of floral embelishment. With boots tucked in, or your favourite dress or skirt, they will come up a treat all year.
Another treat is the Amanda skin from Adam n Eve, more make ups that previously released. The skin as stated in the past definitely has a Eurasian feel to it dependent on your shape. Four beautiful skin tones, and as usual so many amazing options, now with breast enhancement, and hair bases, different lashes, and manicure/pedicures as extras ; as well as freckles, seriously one make up comes with a bazillion pieces.
Recently with the launch of What’s New SL Adam n Eve sent the incredibly hot leather pants and bra set to the group, it is hot hot hot, so I had to wear it to show off the skins, and it didn’t hurt the breast enhancements too much.

Tickle my Ivory’s
I am really delighted in the New Ivory skins, there is something incredibly beautiful about being this pale, but with such a divine porcelain like quality. The Ivory skins come with soft make up that just accentuates the concept of the skins. I have always veered back and forth into silvery hair, going white often as my choice for fantasy play.
If you wear a lot of black hair, for the most part you will have a considerable amount of white to silvery/grey styles as well, what with it being so popular to make them a pack together in many hair stores. Todays silvery delights are both from House of Heart , they have a definite softness to the texture that really works as a bealievable mix with the brows of the Hope Ivory by Tuli.
The first outfit I put together comprises of the Margo coat, this had myself and Newdoll zooming over to LeeZu as soon as the notice came through, I swanned around in this for a day and a half, and am so glad especially now that I opted for the silver. Everyone in the world needs ruffle panties, and my favourite are the ones Kit Maitland made years ago, that actually have ruffle prims…but a few months back when shopping for a skirt for Meko we went via Katat0nik and I just couldn’t resist these panties with the ruffle as a texture, perfect for a look like this one where you couldn’t wear prims as well.
Yes I do realise that I am wearing panties and a jacket as an outfit, but if it can be done anywhere it is here in Second Life. The dress I am wearing in the second picture comes with that adorable pillbox hat. So perfect for the skins make up I actually modded the hair to remove the large net bow it had, Yay for select linked parts and shrinking and alpha textures….that way if you cannot rez the hair to mod you can just hide what you don’t want…don’t do so without making a back up copy first.
The dress itself is by Prelude and is the Estelle dress, this comes in a myriad of colours, but in keeping with my theme the silver was perfect. I had the pleasure of meeting with the designer Polaire and her good friend Angelli at The Deck one day, they are such delightful ladies, it really was a great afternoon/evening chatting with them both. Angelli has her own teen themed blog which she only recently started HERE .
This dress is so stylish and elegant with it’s vintage lines and classicly beautiful fabric. We all know I love system skirts/dresses, and this is truly a marvelous one.

LeeZu on the Rocks
I think I told you all that a few months back Newdoll and I went shopping, well it was a bit of a bigger shop than the ones we have had since.
Anyway we were at LE.LOOk and wandered into LeeZu. We both ended up coming out of there with the exact same pair of fantastic highwaisted pants, which I am still to blog one day. Since then there have been many items that I adore, and one set that Newdolly has worn often. The Tamara set by LeeZu is a short pants set, in a corduroy fabric over the top of a silky cotton, the asymmetrical look in this set is wonderful. This set is so charming, you will find it hard to choose a specific colour, so think about getting them all lol. I am wearing the perfect match to this set, the Tiny dot socks in Beige from Aoharu, these come in a pack of many colours, and the beige was the perfect colour blend for this set.
J’s Goth Ribbon lace up boots are again featured, as I love the options in this one boot pack, this time wearing the boots with the black bow at the front of the foot.
I tool Meko to Magika the other day and was overjoyed to find out that three of my original favourite styles are now only 10L for the fat packs, this is not so noticable in the main store, but it is on the far left high up on the wall on a shelf, do not miss out on this deal, in case it’s not forever, the style is the Lime in Red E.
I took these pics at Relic, one of my favourite sims in all of Second Life, Baron Grayson is an inspiration. I am using the VR Proffessional HUD Library by VR Foundry to take the location shots, filled it up with Oracul poses and used the VR Professional HUD to change them, easy and simly with all the effect of having a posestand in place.
The Skin I am wearing is from Atomic, it was the February Group Gift and is just beautiful, the full lips on the Atomic skins always make me feel so pretty.
