    blog – Sprinkle your stores

    Flora

I was talking earlier about the fun that is shopping. Sometimes it is fast paced, you find a new store, or visit one you know you love already and the right click buy is faster than gunfire.

Then there are those days you really get to enjoy a store, looking at it not only for it’s creations, but it’s whole aesthetics. Quirky little charms, and a real feeling that you are in the space of someone that wants to share with you the whole experience of their passion.

Unfortunatly though, due to prim limits and expense, you cannot always add or do what you wish you could. The quirk or little parts of yourself cost extra, and sometimes – and especially with newer stores – that can cost more than you have to bargain with.

Recently I went to look at some skyboxes with Whimsy, it was actually before the new year lol, so not so recent recent. There was one in particular that I loved, not just for the design, but because the creator put a bit of her own heart in the build.

It was a poem that the builder had taken and rewritten onto the texture of one wall, the house of course came with a version without. But this kind of touch completely made the house a home.

I think stores should look like stores, I am not saying run out and redo your whole shop in personal house like looks – eeks at livingroom wallpaper walls in a store – but add a splash of you to it. Some of you may remember MAD Magazines. I was comic mental as a kid…and would totally spend hours now reading them too if I had the same access to them I did then.

If you do, then you will remember the little miniature cartoons that ran up the sides of the page. They were so incredibly detailed and often had their own little story going on, but they were also not a distraction from the main pages themselves, just extra sprinkles if you will.

Whippet & Buck has such sprinkles, one in particular makes me smile every time I visit the store. I once read a twitter from Dakota Buck alluding to her love for Project Runway, this was when the show first came about. I have only recently ever watched it, and I was so entranced by the whole thing, it is an incredible show…not your normal reality TV crapola.

Now that I have watched it enough, that sprinkle stands out to me, speaks to me about passion. To those that have never seen it the same thing just works within the store environment. But those that have will smile, and know a little more about the girls behind Whippet & Buck, and that one thing makes them real.

I bought the fat pack of the beautiful new cropped bustier, and knew that it would have so many fun uses. This is just one.

    Have a Passion Filled Day!

    Blog – Bedazzled

    Lady Sasy
    Lady Gaga3
    Lady Sasy2

There are days you pile on as much as you can, and then get all delighted by the ensemble you create. It can be inspiring, and just down right fun. A lot of the time it can even take you out of your ‘safety’ bubble you have surrounding you, in what you feel is fashion, or ‘in style’ at the time, sometimes it is just about being able to go outside into the big wide grid, and be a pony prancing vampire of Diva destruction.

Such was the case yesterday when attempting to sort my inventory. I decided to put on some recently purchased items from Fishy Strawberry and loved bits and pieces , taking off some, adding different ones and so on. I was actually wearing different hair at the time, and so giggled that I was having a Lady GaGa moment. That ended up being my theme for the day, so adding the FabulouS by name and nature Love Sex Magic necklace by the creative and inspiring Dango Jewel, I was ready to poke some one in the face – that’s how that song goes right? – laughs because in my head I’m taking the mickey out of my mum, who thought the song I’m in chains was a girl singing about being in pain.

I also did have on killer thigh high boots from Storm Schmooz – ok seriously where is he, and why don’t we have more shoes? – but they do not bend and stretch as well as these Stompers from The Abyss do. How cool is my box, no seriously, it’s great fun, 8 in built poses and the back section has lots of different images in it with click to change, way fun pose prop from Lost Angels.

The Fabia skin is the most recent in the line of Alphabetically named skins by BeBae. Deep and rich make ups as usual, with even freckles options, and there is now a cleavage option on an undershirt layer. It is a very strong featured face on my shape, and it definitely has a very unique look which is great, strong features that work with a shape instead of detracting from it, can really enhance your style.

The body has very detailed shading as well, with a fabulous bum in my opinion, I say this because I was just walking around The Deck still in my outfit, chasing after Whimsy and thought DAYUM my bum is cute lol, and Whimsy agrees, because I asked :P.

Adding the Eye Glam from BooM was a last thing, and I love them so much, they will take a bit of modding as you need to fit each one to your face shape, but well worth it, and bedazzling.

    I win with Eclat

    LLL
    LLL2
    LLL3
    LLL4

    I WIN! I WIN! I WIN!

Newness abounds with this post, you are going to want to know in advance all the fabulous options that could be yours.

Everything new takes time, and a lot of hard work. One of the craziest of tasks in Second Life is a rebuild. There is so much more involved than just plonking down a new structure, but making sure that all your vendors are placed against the walls properly, that they even fit in each section, and OMGoodness do they look good against the new sleek build.

So many things change, and during all of that you’re possibly even planning new releases. That is the case of LeLutka for the last few months, they have been diligently planning a major rebuild, and I cannot wait until tomorrow to see it.

With this unveiling of build, comes the revealing of the Eclat skins, a New line of not only a fabulous face, but a huge array of options. One of which is of course why I win :P, yes the Eclat skin comes SHAVEDDDDDDDDDD woohooo.  So now for those of you that love your LeLutka skins, but have had to be careful with how low your clothing can go , now you do not need to despair any longer.

Other fabulous options, are freckles, dark brows, light brows, dark and light hair bases and on separate layers, not one, not two but THREE cleavage volumizers. The three options give you slight variations on how delectable your cleavage can look, as it will always depend on what you are wearing as to what option is used, if you are wearing a tight knit that has a low cleavage, well then option one would be enough, but if wearing some latex or a wired bra top, then you are going to want to perhaps go with three.

The new Eclat skins are just lovely, full lips, and dramatic eyes, with a heavier brow than in the past…which I like in skins such as these for added character. The stomach is soft but tight, and will look great in all sorts of revealing clothing. You will have to make sure that as soon as the doors reopen for LeLutka tomorrow that you are ready to DEMO DEMO DEMO.

All the clothing I am wearing is also from LeLutka, and I have to admit it has baffled me for a bit how I was going to show Ontibile the last pictures dress. I don’t show, and as this is a dress that makes it hard not too, I was leaving it for inspiration. Well that came today, with the mixing of the black and the white dress , taking off the sleeves, and adding a corset under layer from Insolence.

Definitely inspired by the Neyya shoes from Maitreya, when putting these together I was so wanting a heel toe cap look, and not only did that happen, but I also got grey/black which I love and actually cheated for a full day before they were released by wearing them at home – I rarely do that , so it made me feel very naughty lol.

I love the combination of the two dresses, and there are so many things you can do to achieve this look yourself, even without having a second dress.

The stomper boots from The Abyss are my fav at the moment, clomping around in them all week has been my joy. I have had the baby pink since the beginning of the year when the Aria full avatar was released, but I noticed recently that the boots were sold separately in all sorts of fabulous colours, and the price is insanely bargainish.

So while you are waiting for the re-opening, spin by the other stores mentioned, and get everything else lol.
