I bet you didn’t even know she made clothes. Ok maybe many of you do, but still this jacket/shirty thing is hot. Earlier today I got an IM from a reader who also happens to be a designer I have featured here before, she was looking for the New collection of work from OhMai creator, Anya Ohmai. I do so love how Second Life creators, are often the biggest fans of other designers. I mean for the most part it is how they come to be designers themselves, or how they show off the own creations with the added benefits of beautiful clothing, skins, hair etc.
So anyway I TP’d over to Anya’s store to show her, and she was kind enough to show me her new Amy dress, totally a fun outfit, that you get with leggings and their great belts (not shown), I really like the gathered look of this dress, and you just know it’s that crazy insanely soft fabric that just caresses the skin – shivers. Adding the right kind of accessories, you can play it up or down, it is that versatile.
I am wearing some new Clawtooth by Clawtooth hair today, and some old lol. But wanted to let you know that his main is again open at Tableau just in case you missed the news. I must say I was surprised that he has now got different Demo’s to show his wares, I won’t ruin the new one by telling you what it is. But also there are new hair texture colours available, so new packs to explore.
I ran into Torie Senne today, yes there she was bigger than Texas on my friends list lol, for me that is running into you, because I don’t have my online offline thing turned on, so if I happen to have the list open and see you on, when I haven’t for some time, I get all ‘well howdy you’. I have this thing when it comes to Torie though, it never fails that I will be thinking about her and wondering why she hasn’t been online, and voila next day or so she appears and usually working on a new skin.
She is, and this isn’t it…but I felt like dressing up in my Fabia skin anyways.
Now back to the one you may not have known makes clothes. You all know Zoe Demar, she is the super talent behind many magazine layouts and fashion spreads, as well as in store promotions, and an incredible amount of contests won. If you don’t believe me go look yourself HERE .
Anyway, Zoe also blogs and during bloggers appreciation week, which now seems so long ago, she sent out a little gift of thanks to all. It was this awesome cowgirl Madonna inspired shirt. Seriously can someone closer to that girl do their duty and bully her into making more clothes?. Worn here with my favourite cords and belt – Celestial Studios is still having that sale by the way – and the stunning Esprit Shoes by Maitreya Gold. I stepped off my VR Foundry Professional Pose Studio, and decided I looked too yummy to take anymore pics.

A few weeks ago Fiachra and I were out shopping, and ever since I quit smoking I have become a hummer. If I am not humming, I am singing, and if not that, then usually talking…you should all pray for the ones that have to sit on the receiving end of my mic lock.
One of my strangest habits, and probably not exclusive to me at all, is the changing of lyrics. I have some strange stories to do with potatoe frittata’s and some such sillyness, but the other day I excelled. So much so that Fia and I ended up playing with the lyrics to Let it Snow, and came up with the Second Life Version.

Anywho, today I wanted to show some of the latest, and incredibly hand drawn items from Alla Ruff of Veschi. Yes she has returned to us, and this is good, because I know that many were kind of worried about her, due to her main store being so empty for many months. But she is back, with a new store, and a killer new collection.
The first look I was parading happily around the grid a few days ago, when of course best laid plans and all got the better of me. I even had to resort to ‘make outfit’ which I rarely, and mostly never ever do. The coat is just gorgeous, it’s style and casual dressy look is fantastic. I love the loose ribbon tie look, with evocative shoulder pads to just add some rawr to your day. What could be even more rawr worthy than a hawke?
The other day Whimsy went traveling the grid and hailed for me to join her, and what a find. Not just the items in the store, but the build itself was just beautiful. More of a RP store, with a leaning towards Gor – I love those stores – we had an awesome time. Whimsy was even contemplating becoming a Panther, until of course I let her know she wouldn’t be able to wear her heels in the forest…so there went that idea lol.
Anyway the hair and clothing in the store was awesome, and I walked away with two new hawkes, which go wonderfully well with hair base skins , mind you I would be really interested to see someone do an actual shaved looking base, specifically for hawke wearers one day.
Moving on to another really cool item of clothing, it is the InfiniTie shirt, this time for the ladies, because I think Shiryu got told lol. When you buy the shirt you get it with collar and regular looking tie, then wearing an infinitie hud – they only cost a small amount per design – it sends your tie the info regarding your new texture, and voila STRIPES!…or whatever pattern you choose.
Total bloggers fate that I would randomly pick one from the selection, that had the lovely beige and gold stripes, and then unpack the fab leggings from Veschi and have a pair in a similar blending, wooot. The shoes and bag in their lovely soft pink suede finish just brought it all together for me, so much so I almost stopped taking pics after it and wanted to wear that look for the rest of the day lol.
I will definitely return to it though, because how awesome is the make up from the Adriana Xmas skin by YS & YS for this look, YUM…and not just skins now, they have leapt and bounded right into shoes and accessories of late, really shining in all directions.
The last look allowed for more Veschi, with the Elvis would be jealous Collared Shirt, and leggings, with the added thermal skirt by League. The thermal collection recently released is scrumptious, another reason I am pining for colder weather. So with the fact that it is well into Christmas day already here, and 6am and hot hot hot…these three combos make me feel not too hot, and not too cold, and I get to finish up with some incredible skins, and lots more lovely Veschi items to play with…YAY for seperates.

We of course are so comfortable in our Fashionalities – yes made up word from a twin experience Whimsy and I had last week, it means being comfortable enough in oneself to totally wear the same stuff as your friends, and them to be comfy enough to not give a shit. It can also mean you can totally fixate on an outfit so much that you wear it for a week, and even though your friends may jab at you, it’s all in fun…Disclaimer THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO MEN! – Change your damn clothes already.
Ok so as usual we were all doing our thing, chatting in conference. I tp’d away from the landing area at The Deck and a few minutes later Ashia was wondering where I was. The other day I had taken another friend to update her look and one of the items I got her to buy was stuck in my head.
I realised that we hadn’t been to MichaMi in loads so off we went, when we got there Whimsy and I were sitting on the fab sofas , and I declared we needed to do a collab pic…yeah I am bossy like that, but if I wasn’t we would still be waiting for a blog post from Whimsy well into 2010, she likes to think that all the planning she does for posts is the same as actually doing one :P.
Ashia was calling out from the next room that she was almost there, she was going to wow us with her accessorising. Well she did indeed. Last night we had been shopping, lol funny how we do that a lot.
I had totally tried and failed at prim nails in the past, I mean I loved them..and the ones out and about are fun and fab…but they just didn’t ever do as much for me as I wanted. Then Whimsy sent me IM’s of STOP MEEEEE the other day, and I did. But then we went back and she fatpacked all over the place, and by the next day I was also hooked, so much so that now I am dealing to others, so far Ashia has joined us in Mandala Love too.
They come with the rings, and incredible bracelets and bangles. Those luckily can be worn as seperate parts, and on this occasion I didn’t wear those pieces, but believe me I will. While you are visiting Mandala, be sure to take notice of the fantastic advertising art that is in the store, it is really inspiring, and his flickr and work he does for DeJa Vu Magazine is awesome too.
So, this is the most accessories I’ve worn since early 07 during my neko phase 😛
I’ve never worn prim nails, but these were so pretty, who could resist the crack.
I love the beige shade from Michami clothes, more like an old gold, so beautiful. This suit caught my eye and begged me to take it home, cos I knew it would go perfectly with my xmas pressies from manadala. The gorgeous jewelery and nails sets.
The only boots that were perfect enough to go with such a groomed look were of course the Bax Prestige boots in brown.____________________________
Wanting to of course make the post painless to shop from, we totally did the same stores thing, Lamb hair, looking smexy, Bax boots because not only are they gorgeous, especially in the NEW Suede version which I am wearing…if you go for the colours you get four beautiful tones, even the black in the suede has options, which I am sure many wish was the same in the leather. If you are a boot lover, check out the fat pack in the Suede Prestige it’s price is great.
We all really love our MichaMi, Milla is not just a great person, fantastic blogger but also an extremely talented designer…I am looking forward to her new styles in the new year, we were discussing her while shopping, and decided that a collection from Milla if she let loose, would be a fantastic thing to see.
We are of course all wearing the beautiful Justice Skin, by Idiosyncrasy designer Ashia Tomsen <3 Whimsy has been all about the brown make up in this skin, and I am chuffed there was such a beautiful deep smokey blue shadow option in the 6pm pack. Whimsy is also wearing her new coat from CoCo we went and got that last night, and it is just stunning on her, we might have to find her some corgi’s to go with it, oh wait she has them too.
This lovely hair from Lamb, has the softest of brown textures, and I love it for its highlights and lowlights. My lashes were a fun find from Oh!, I went for hair and fatpacked the lashes! They also come with a lighted version for those still thinking they need facelights. My skin is from Idiosyncrasy, and is the new Justice line which has this awesome lipstick shade that I love.
My coat is from Coco, its this awesome cute swing coat. I saw someone wearing a swing coat just yesterday in real life and loved the cut of it, and this lives up to what we love about them in real life. The texture and detail is well done, and I love particulary in this color choice how the grey and browns work together. With this much color and pattern going on, I didn’t over complicate the outfit and went with MichaMi’s Pippa pants for their color, and the texture of the fabric. The beige sweater from Fishy Strawberry lent more browns, and great textures to the look.
To pull everything together I chose my Bax boots, in brown which really work well with the Coco coats details.
My obsession with my Mandala nails was too much for me and I had to have them. Love them! I find they fit will and the texturing is amazing, funky, yet chic. The nails come with the matching rings attached, and are no modify. Also included with purchase are amazing bangles. Both in Bright, and No Bright Options. To pull more grey tones I went with the Tarika Claw earrings from Zaara, in silver. My cute belt from CoCo is a fun accessory I love the joining clasp in the front and how it becomes a feature.

Doing a bit of a studio/location mix today, yes I do get out and about for most of the day, but I tend to save all my pic taking for at home. I wanted to go back to a brandish newish build today though, to pretty much just revisit it.
Pixel Mode just recently rebuilt the whole sim, and gone are the modern conveniences and stylish builds of before, now in its place is an incredible plantation I guess you would call it, or in fact a homestead that is a full estate lol.
I wanted to feature some of the clothing from Doppelganger, and as it is all very down to earth clothing, this was the perfect backdrop, well I kind of cheated with one pic at The Deck, but I changed shoes and felt a bit odd about taking pics for a blog post in another stores shoes; at a sim owned by a shoe store…I over think things I know, but it just felt more respectful to move.
I love overalls, they are just fun, and if you watch Ugly Betty …then last weeks episode would have had you chuckling …The Woodcutters Overalls are just fun and very comfy. I really like the style of them, not your regular bib look overalls. Teamed up with the Henley shirts also from Doppelganger, I was in business to um harvest something maybe ? Ok how about just look fabulous on a porch :P.
I finally found the hair I love that Athena wears in her ads for Miseria lol. I could have just asked her, but I actually thought I had it and/or that I knew where it was from. I just kept forgetting to look. So today I stumbled into it with Sofia and Whimsy and snapped it up. I love the stores at that sim so much, which is funny because I have been there about five times in the past month, and never went downstairs.
Wearing with it a lovely long dress, I love this style, in RL it was a big fad for a while to unbutton the dress from the bottom and wear lots of layered cheesecloth style skirts underneath, or pants…tieing a knot in both sides to keep it open…very Tree of Life circa 93′.
The last dress is a pretty day dress, more of a frock really for sure. Sculpted skirt parts make it a bit fiddly depending on your AO, but such a pretty dress that it is worth investing in some stands that limit hip movement…and always good to have anyway.
The Skin I am wearing is from Glance, it is part of their 2010 secret sale, many stores are involved in that, you will see signs at the stores with info…an item or two or three at each store is marked down to 50L you just need to find it, and I just let you know part of it at least, but there is another, so look for two. It is really pretty, and the make up is great for this time of year. I love the full glossy lips and expressive eyes. The body is also YUM, so check them out… you may have noticed that Dango Jewell did their art posters recently and WOW they are incredible.

If you had to travel around the whole world in a night, you would need some motivation to get yourself home fast. Now there has always been talk of a Mrs Claus, but who is to say that she wasn’t some sexy elf to begin with, and I tell you what, if she looks as good as the New Elf skins, then no wonder he is Jolly.
Such beautiful changes to the NEW Gala skins, the nose is pert and mischievous, the mouth is definitely bow shaped and kissable…and the eyebrows are a lighter more refined shape. The overall body, and the way the skins are packaged is as usual, beautiful make ups in two variations to choose from, with dark and light options, and freckles.
I know I am a bit early, and definitely so for us down here, stifling hot as it is. But I just couldn’t resist showing off my new boots, I already have these in the regular version, and have blogged them in the past. But seeing these as almost lick worthy Christmas themed boots, I just had to have them, and they are an awesome price on xstreet too.
I always knew I was going to have a need for the Elf hair, and today was totally that day. Another perfect time for the gorgeous velvet dress by Fishy Strawberry, I love this dress…in all the colours it comes in it is fabulous, but most definitely the red will see you through this coming festive season.
While I was on my VR Professional Stand, which is often the case…a notice came down from FAKE and WOWZA what a skirt…I tpd over and had to grab the lime and black option, it is seriously a skirt MUST HAVE. The styling and use of sculpties and prims is genius, the effect of the back is like wearing tuxedo tails, it is just divine.
Equally divine are the newest Kalnins release, the Orchid shoes are as usual perfectly fun to coordinate to your look via the hud, the tinting of skins is easyish, sometimes depending on the skin it is killer easy, sometimes a little harder, but all the more reason to buy lots of skins in lots of tones, so you can match the skin to your feet, instead of vice versa lol.
Ashia and Sofia decided that I needed to look more relaxed in the eyes department (stoned) being as I had always had my eyes, and such catering to work rather than play or whatever, I didn’t really mind, more closed only no changes to actual size. I am not sure how I will do with it though , doesn’t feel like me yet, I kind of liked having my eyes open rather than squinting. Seeing as I am usually online in the early hours of the am, so I tended to convince myself I was more awake than I was lol.

Nothing is more enjoyable than being able to really prepare yourself for your day or night. The great thing that comes from the wonderful abundance of skins we have now, is that the choices on make ups is plentiful.
Now one of the sometimes complicated things is choosing what make ups best suit your Second Life, and the way you live it. So when a skin creator takes into account, your world, your imagination, it is perfect.
Day, Night and the early hours of the morning. Those are the themes of the new skin line by Idiosyncrasy. 8am, 6pm and 2am. Each timeframe has 8 make ups, and the difference though subtle really works well.
I am actually wearing them middle to back, starting with the 6pm skins. Different looks for each one, slight variations, with some pieces crossing over, just like in RL. These days dressing for work can be as stylish and important, as dressing for early evening, nights out. Adding a deeper shade of lippy and tousling out your hair lol.
In Second Life though it can be even trickier, as often who you are talking to, dealing with business wise, or socially, can be looking at you through different eyes entirely based on their own timezone. When you first come to Second Life it can get really tricky seeing people in full formal gowns and suits at 9am lol.
It seems to always be someones morning, evening or late night. But as confusing as that all is, now with the help of these skins, you are covered. Ashia has in my opinion definitely leveled up with the Justice skins, named after the incredibly talented herself Justice Infinity.
All the skins come with dark and lighter brows, as well as cleavage enhancement, so thats four skins per make up. These are just beautiful, you really need to try them asap.
The other featured item today for the most part, is the Beebee boots by SLink, these ankle boots are just adorable and incredibly crafted, in perfect leather, and divine shape…the attention to detail in these boots is amazing, even the zippers on the side have chomp worthy teeth.
Also featuring a lot of Cynful in this post, her latest releases just had me all excited. The idea of denim corsets with the snap buttons, are just gorgeous, they really do have you tightly encased and perfectly moulded. Denim is a perfect texture for this style, as when made in such a way the strength of the weave is totally suitable.
You get three looks in each colour, so they are a steal as well value wise. and whether adding your own cute and sexy, or tailored and professional for the workplace, they all work. Anyway I am rambling and you need to go shopping :P.

blog – Tiffany isn’t just a lamp
There used to be a cafe, somewhere in Australia called Freckles. Above the counter was a sign that stated “A face without freckles, is like a sky without stars”. The idea being of course, that the light natural smattering of freckles adds a beauty and charm to a face, and without them, something is amiss.
Being one who has freckles, I kind of like that sentiment, I am however not a huge fan of make up and freckles, being that I would make sure to wear foundation to cover them, if I was in fact going all out to look all sultry and smoldering. Thank goodness in most cases we have options, to have or not to have.
The NEW released in the past hour, Estelle skins by LeLutka are a tad different. In the fact that they do have a freckle or two or three etc, but in such a way as to define and add that lovely beauty mark look to the face…I am totally bewitched by them.
The bodies of the skins are gorgeous, the same divine hip shading and detailing as the Eclat. But it is definitely the faces that give them so much charm. You get the light and dark hair base options, as well as light and dark brows, and because Minnu likes to think past her own self, she has given each hair colour their own uniqueness.
Having to cater to her own group of adoring females, she has made sure that each of them, even if wearing the same skins, will in fact have that little embellishment of the brows to call their own. I love it, and for me it is definitely what makes LeLutka what it is.
In my own group of friends we often have the same skins, same time…and with different shapes and bald bases etc, it will definitely go a little further to make us individuals. As you can see in the face shots, nothing changed accept the skin, and yet I look different, I love it.
Moving on to the clothing, Baiastice has recently released some divine dresses. Often RL art inspires SL fashion, and in this case it is the Art Nouveau Tiffany lamp that has inspired this very retro release. The long and short versions of the Tiffany Dress are equally divine. I do wish though that the sleeves from each came in both, as I love both options, but each dress has it’s own version.
The real attention to detail, and what made the short stand out for me, was not only the incredible flared bell sleeves, but the open front and back collar, with it’s deep dip. Not even wanting to wear hair that may take away from it, I chose to use the skin hair base option.
Versatility is key with Baiastice, and the ability to wear the items different ways, just allows your money to go further, such as being able to wear the shorter option as a romper as well, HOT HOT HOT and very Disco Diva.
Audrey, which of course makes us think of the must have little black dress, is the name of one of the other items in this release by Baiastice. Again the ability to wear it many ways, this dress is just beautiful, fitted in all the right places, with added flair if you so desire, or a tamer option when needed.
Moving on with these party dresses, to the perfect Dancing Shoes. These are Zara by Kitties Lair, and are one of my MUST HAVES from the Footwear Expo 2009. Not only are they gorgeous Tfront dance style shoes, but they are a set of two that are the charity shoes for the fair. The hud was painless, I had them matched to my skin in seconds, and there are save presets to make it easier.
I am really in awe of how far Kitties Lair has come with her shoes range, I have some fast favourites in my shoes folder from her store from way back, but these, and the other recent releases have definitely tipped the scales for me. Make sure you do not miss out on this set, there are of course other colours available, and they do have other bells and whistles like changing the heels colour etc…but the expo charity set is a MUST MUST MUST.

Still so many items to show from Footwear Expo 2009. One of the stand out items for me was from a store I love to visit regularly. I have shown in the past their heels and boots, one pair are even open backed which I love bunches, and are actually set up in their booth at the fair too.
This New release boot is gorgeous. Divine texture work, on equally fabulous sculpted form. The Pauole boots are just must haves for sure, not only because of how wonderful they look, but also because of how inexpensive they are, especially for boots, but that is normal for R2.
Most of the clothing I am featuring today is LeLutka, the seperates they have been releasing of late are just perfect for mixing and matching, to their own; or other designers wear. I especially am in love with the Rockin Pants, they are a leather highwaist style pants, and are HOT HOT HOT. The work on the textures to give them that authentic look is remarkable.
The last few releases for LeLutka have been all about pants, and leggings. A big fan of both, this allows for such a broad scope of fashion ideas. Whether worn on their own, or with large oversized sweaters or dresses layered over them, there is no end to the possibilities of your imagination. Accessories too play a huge part in an overall look, and lately those have been coming from all over SL. I have been seeing a lot of designers step up to the plate in providing pieces that compliment their own style, as well as add to others.
Fishy Strawberry and Luck Inc have both recently added belts to their stores, first off with the Fishy Strawberry Geisha Leather Belt, these belts are done in the Obi style around the mid thoracic area, but can of course be resized with script and moved down around the hips as I have done for this pic. Luck Inc has made solid and print hip belts as well, a wide double holed belt look, very military in style, but totally chic.
Another thing when it comes to accessories, is don’t limit what comes with one thing, to only that thing. Perfect example is the bow in my hair, it isn’t actually in it, but it is actually from another hairstyle, but I loved the bow so much I dismantled a copy of the hair, and I add it to a number of styles as you have seen in the past.
Pulling out some older items, the first being an item from MichaMi, it is a piece from a set, which of course is wonderful. The other is a swimsuit by Persona, that was actually named after me, and I am honored because it was, because of the layering options, both pieces work well.
Again showing more of the fabulous new Winter2 Skins by Gala @ Curio. The make ups in these are wonderful, and the red lips in the smudgey make up, was perfect to show with the Rockin Pants…that kind of dancing until dawn, mascara running down the face look most hardcore partiers will know well.
My favourites would have to be the silvery based shadow ones, they are the Snow Angel ones, but all of them from top to bottom are fabulous.

I even played with my own decal today for this post, just because I wanted to add a little something, but couldn’t find one that sat in the right place. The first hair was a revisit to a incredibly popular store, I don’t get over there often enough, and until last night I only had this style in a mix blend.
I love Anette by Deviant Kitties, it’s such a classic updo, that because of the creator and just how you feel in it; carries over into mainstream.
But this post is mainly about the BOOOOOTS. J’s has recently released at the Footwear Expo these INCREDIBLE Thigh high boots in a gorgeous range of colours that match their previous release of ankle and knee high boots. What is also gorgeous about these boots is that they come in three heights, and as they are made using the shoe base as the actual boot itself, allowing for an extra tighter than tight fit. It is not an easy feat – pun pun pun – to achieve this look properly, many have done so over the years, and often it comes up short…but JB has nailed it.
For the super slick and shiny look of the black Thigh Highs from J’s, I went with a mix of Tank dress and wool pantys from Luck Inc…wanting to add a splash of something to the look, I opened up ps and made a starburst and made it tintable to get a similar hot pink in world. Now I did go looking at Decals made by others first, Artilleri and Stellar both have items with this kind of option, a jacket layer over a plain shirt allowing for the mixing of looks. But as the Luck inc Tank is so low cut, it didn’t match up properly so I improvised.
The Godfsts as they are called were a gift a long time ago from the owner of Gearshift, when Fia bought his nintendo belt and proceeded to drive me nuts with all the sounds. I still love these and bring them out every so often. There are actually three versions to the set, so if you aren’t into the spikes and other bits and pieces, the ones I have on are a nice fit.
With the Cherry Red printed Tank Dress, I of course went with the Cherry Red Thigh Highs…YUM. Adding a few more age old accessories, such as the Cherry bag and bangles, but with the NEW Addition of the Posture Collar from The Hat Mechanic that I was so grateful to beta test at the time of it’s creation. It was actually something that I begged for to be sold as a separate from her other items, and she went above and beyond and created a whole line of them in varies frontages and colours.
Just as new and simply divine, are the Raphael wings from Material Squirrel. All the bells and whistles you are used to in a Material Squirrel wing set, with the hud even including xcite compatibility.
The other day I did a sweater dress with corset overlay, this time another sweater dress this time from Luck Inc, with the other alternative Just Band from Nyte n Day…again tinted to match perfectly to the Thigh Highs from J’s. A much lower cowl neck , very revealing in this beautifully thick hemmed knit style. The other alternatives for this dress is a sheer version, that allows the knit to really stretch across the body, or just removing the cowl for a scoop neck look. Great for showing off such gorgeous Jewelry like the Tigers Eye set from Essentia.
All the scintillating skins I am wearing are from GALA @ Curio, yes I still cannot just say Curio it is odd to me. They are Winter2 the follow up of course to Winter1 that was released for Skin Fair and raved about. There are even more faces in this range that I will show in another post, these first three are a peak into not just the beautiful overall skin, but the way in which the face is really illuminated and given such character with the make up ideas Gala comes up with.
I do not change my shape for skins, so I really see little nuances; in the way my shape wears them…and with the Gala @ Curio it is always there, that variation that comes through from skin line to skin line. This winter one for me has an air of change, naivety and innocence that carries out through the eyes and glow to the cheeks. Maybe it is all in the name, that clearing of the old, and making way for the new signs of change..whatever it is, it is one of the reasons that Gala @ Curio skins speak to so many.
The last picture is me showing off the othertones available in this range. I am wearing the Little Miss Lingerie by 5th & Oxford again, because it is just so feminine and appealing to my sensibilities today. Also it is Roslin Petions Birthday week this week, as well as Autumn Hykovas of Tiny Bird, so if you see them around YELL OUT Happy Birthday.

Wow what a rollercoaster. I ended up online for 20+ hours straight, tried to sleep in this disgusting heat, and ended up back on three hours later. But with so many gorgeous shoes to take pictures of, with their equally beautiful counterparts of skin, hair, clothing and accessories…I am not too upset about lack of sleep.
I actually took some pics, and ended up stopping for a bit to meet up with Fae for a quick demo of skins. The funniest things have been happening with pictures kicking in with avatar baking for me lately, but that is a whole other enchilada.
The Lace Up boots by Anexx are hands down some incredible work, for boys and girls. YAY for the men, I was in FE for hours having to assure some the other night that there were in fact mens items at the fair. I love the work boot look, I was actually umming and ahhing over some others I saw the other day, that just weren’t doing enough for me, but it was the fates making me wait for these.
As other fates would have it, there was an all pink sale at pink outfitters I went to yesterday with Whimsy. I snapped up a few bits and pieces, and one item was the bermuda shorts that just perfectly went with the pink boots. I wanted to do a little more for this look, so I went a rumagging. Taking some older pieces by Canimal and adding a new but vintage twist with the cardi by Artilleri.
Definitely a back and forth mix up, with the bag a timeless classic by SLink and the hair the latest release from Nishant Zobovic who has returned to SL with the NEW Brand for hair, Anaphora.
The Gluttony skins by Red Queen are just gorgeous, whether going with the RP look, or the more sedate but captivating look of the first picture, it all works. How she features the eyes on her skins is always my favourite part, she really knows how to work those make up brushes.
If pretty in pink isn’t your thing, then go to the darker side with the second look. Ok not darker as such, but it sounded fun in my head. The NEW Release of the Oversized cardigan from Fishy Strawberry happened just as I was in the process of taking pics, and it is just splendid. I have to point out that Fishy – or Fi.St (does anyone else giggle at that in inventory?) -Â is now doing fat packs, YAY.
They actually do come with their own socks, but with the prim attachments taking the same as the upper portion of the boots, they had to go, in favour of the WWI ones with garters. The cardigan actually comes with a more voluminous attachment to the middle, giving it more of a baggy look, but I wanted to go with the length of it, and keep it tight and fitted, it really is just snuggly yum yum.
Again the Lace Up boots by Anexx were just perfect, they have such incredible detailing, from the laces themselves to the little toggle prims on the sides. two options for each with the uppers, one of them being mouton, which is of course a shaved sheepskin giving extra warmth to the look.
You can also see in my pics that the insides are as beautifully detailed as the outters, no cutting corners when it comes to Machang’s creations, she really goes all out. I would love to see this style in a higher boot if possible, mid calf length would be sensational, with a flopped over tongue perhaps as an option…if you build it, they will come :P.
