Wish you were here
Cruising around for the day with Whimsy Winx and Dot Lane, hair was the first agenda, which then moved to pants,and more and more hair. We ended up tping all over the place, some crashes, and Whimsy almost getting sent home for lagging into the wrong part of a sim lol.
We were discussing the changes to the Silent sim over the past two years, and I was baffled by Kyoots small store no, curious about what else was here we actually looked past the inside of the store, and realised that the ground level is a beautiful coastal setting with Shag main store there, I hadn’t been to Shag since hair fair booth, but I was catching up today.
Moral of the story is go outside the landing points. There is often so much more to see only a hop, skip and jump away – or if you are Sofia, a spin, twist and twirl HAPPY REZDAYYYYYY. I love this vintage inspired look , the Hat/Hair is awesome and has texture change menu, the jacket had to get another wear, this time with the vest that comes with. When the pants were released I ran right over and got tpd away for work stuff after only grabbing one pair, the diamond pattern ones, but went back today as I re fell for the stripes.

Desire and Portia at Skin/Shape Expo
Skin/Shape Expo is almost over, finishing on Saturday 10th of October 2009, there is still time for you to get on over and check out all the booths that are there, some items are only available at the Expo until it’s end, and one item in every booth is donating a percentage to help Fight the Cure, for the Susan G. Komen foundation. I am actually talking about this release in detail on Fabulous Fashion this week, see it HERE.
Adam n Eve have a booth there, and they have set up their booth a little different than usual. A small selection of different items are available , allowing the customer to see more of a range of their goods. They have shapes and skins at the Expo, and have actually made up packs including both so that you can buy a complete look for yourself.
Again a marvelous blend of hand drawn and photo realistic skins from Sachi Vixen, with the Desire and Portia skins being featured in todays post, with the Desire 2 shape and Amanda shape. They both have such distinguishing looks to them, and being so used to only ever using my own shape it is really unusual for me to look at a skin this way so close up.
I am wearing recently released lingerie also from Adam n Eve and these sets are so different from each other, but beautifully executed whatever your style.

Shiva in anticipation
Sometimes you can be way too organised for festive occasions, like having your Christmas shopping done by september, or thinking about valentines day in november. The Christmas one I have been guilty of in the past, but as halloween is such a fairly odd thing for us down here to get into, it really is rare to be prepared.
I would love to say that months ago when I bought this beauty, that it was in fact with Halloween in mind, but I would be lieing. The real truth is, that I was so intrigued by it that I just had to have it, the other truth is that until the other day I didn’t even unpack it, yes I know, for all my excitement I got way sidetracked and it ended up unpacked until I came across it for a second time this week.
I am glad though , because with all the excitement of this upcoming event, it got my attention even more so, not that you need Halloween in SL to wear a costume, or change into a more fantastical avatar, but it doesn’t hurt getting your funna on.
This avatar was a surprise to me, not just how cool it is, but also because of who made it, it is by Damien Fate, the creator behind Loco Pocos, and even more of a reason it had to be mine. I am not a Final Fantasy fan, I am not not a fan either, I just have to admit I know nothing about it, other than I think it is a movie series, or was a game, or something like that.
Now many of you that read my blog know that I am not a huge fan of the purple, there are many I will wear , but one I get the heeby jeebies just thinking about. Now Damien it seems thinks that this skin is blue, I don’t know about that, the eyeshadow and lips are blue , but the skintone is definitely living in the purple house. But even that didn’t deter me.
The amazing thing about this set other than you get everything you see, is that the head is a head, I kid you not, it is sculpted, and WOW , have you ever wanted those adorable blinking eyes that only furries and tinies usually have, well you can, this is actually really an amazing experience, to have a sculpted face, it is simple in design, but I couldn’t help wanting to wear it all day.
I do have the actual shape on that came with in the set, but the other day I was wearing it with my own and everything fit perfectly. The sort of clothing, is on the actual skin layer, so everything is skin, shape and prims. There is a hud and ao that comes with for all those fabulous effects, I really want to wear it full time , nothing like shooting ice diamonds at someone.

Loco Pocos Halloween 2009
Yes it is that time of the year again- Halloween, tonight at Midnight Loco Pocos opens the Trick or Treat experience to the public. Grab your adult or Loco Pocos sized candy pumpkin bag and wear it to keep store of all the treats you pick up, and if you are lucky you may just find the special key that will unlock the treasure chest at the end of the experience.
The prize from the chest is a unique Loco Pocos avatar that will only be available during this event – Teagan Blackthorne of Savoir Hair is wearing it in the picture, in the pink. There are fabulous new Ghosts and Ghouls to purchase on arrival, but if you want to stay as you are, that’s fine too, bring your whole family along, it is lots of fun. Remember, if you do not get the key first time around, go back and start over, there is no limit to how many times you can do it between now and the end of the month.
Whimsy is the Ghost in the pictures winking at you , and I am the little Red Devil.

Where the Wild Things Are
Tonight I was blessed to be invited as a guest stylist on Fabulous Fashion TV here in Second Life, hosted by Angie Mornington. It was a great show, and I think I managed to not speed talk through my whole portion of it, I am not a hundred percent sure though lol.
The guest designer was Tyr Rozenblum, and as a special treat one of her models was Bubbles Clawtooth, which was way exciting for the audience and us hair fans I am sure. So after the show, not during, as I was too nervous to look at anyone – I was able to see the fun clothing worn by the models, one such outfit that stood out from the rest for me, and Whimsy – yays that she was there to help me through – was the Just Hope set, based on the incredible childrens book “Where the Wild Things are ” I loved that book so much as a child, as I am sure you and yours do still to this day.
So as soon as we could depart we were off and running to get ourselves that awesome set…you can just buy the hoodie on its own but for 100L more you get the whole look, and the jeans are way too much funna to leave behind. So Whimsy and I are right now as I type this hanging out at The Deck , in our awesome outfits, and Whimsy is dancing on the table lol.
After there we went to Tableau to grab the Halloween special hair by Bubbles Clawtooth, he has four special sets out for only 75L and I ended up taking some pics while we were there.
With the upcoming colder weather you definitely need such an adorable outfit to snuggle up in, and a wooden scepter to donk people with lol.

Pink Skye of Mine
Skin/Shape Expo was actually the brainchild of Foxy Innis , a shape creator here in Second Life. She believes strongly as do many, that the symmetry between a well balanced look, is the ratio of skin and shape. Now I don’t do well with change, especially on others, as friends will attest..I get really upset if they do any sorts of changes, unless of course I supervised lol.
But with all of these beautiful and talented creators joining each other for such a worthwhile cause, I felt it was the least I could do to change my shape for some pictures. Now I had to start off slowly, and it made it easier on me that Leafy and Pink Fuel are both participants at this years Skin/Shape Expo.
If you have ever explored outside of either store, you will know they share a sim. So it was a no brainer to bring those two together in one post, and as the shapes compliment the skins so well, it worked great. The latest release in the Skye Skins by Pink Fuel are just lovely, they are innocent but with that kind of cheekyness built in.
I made my own shape, it took me a year to stop touching it in one way or another, and I have pretty much kept it consistent over the last three years, if I make a tweak it stays forever. But after wearing these shapes today, and being able to see them with such adorable skins, I can certainly see the appeal in wanting ‘that look” I even went so far as wanting to live up to “that look ” with the little outfits I put on.
The first one being a set I bought recently off Xstreet for some ridiculously inexpensive amount, and had a ball running around in it for a day and night. Curvy and Cute is that naughty nurse. The shape is Bree and with the Skye Beestung looking skin from Pink Fuel she is perfect.
I had to add Katat0nik to this mix with the hair in all three pics, as I truly think PF and Leafy lovers just have to be Kat fans too.All three styles have many options, one being that you can hide and show the music symbols , and or headsets, which makes for fun looks either way.
So while at the Skin/Shape Expo make sure you visit all the booths, and grab DEMOS for everything, and even if you grab a group of friends and have a shape swapping party, it could find you something you never knew you wanted.

Lights Camera Action
I have been saving this hair for the right time, it had to be something stunning, and sleek..with that air of sophistication, I knew I wanted something Audrey-esque – yes it’s an official type, because I just said so.
The Harlow Gown & Cocktail dress is by Ingenue, and I am glad that as lazy at blogging that Betty herself says she is, that today she actually did it. As soon as I had it in my hands I was changed into the top portion, I was so in love with the shape and overall look, that I just had to hope that it was wearable with dress pants in a less dramatic way as well.
The Lampshade hairstyle is just amazing, and the colourchange options made it an absolute joy to play with. I am wearing Jesse one of the Skin/Shape Expo skins , that also has a breast enhancement option, which seems to definitely be the new black lately. Beautiful mouth, and incredibly captivating eyes. No need for prim lashes with this beauty, the lashes on the skin itself are divine. There is also a hairbase option which looks fantastic with pulled back and headbanded styles like Ryan from HCT, recently HCT has redone their textures, definitely worth taking a squiz.

Girls on the road
Today the girls were in a shopping mood, which is kind of regular in our group. We went with an old and new kind of thing today and while we were all styled up and looking fab I took some pics at the last store we hit.
My outfit comprises of the old and new to me, with one of my favourite denim skirts, that I have had for a year or so now, and knew was perfect when I went to grab the tank top I bought today. Whimsy and I went to Muism 12 hours early for the sale the other day, and of course I ended up passing out an hour before it began, and only now managed to make it back there.
As soon as I had it on with the Denim skirt I grabbed the J’s long boots in reddish brown and I was stoked. All that denim love lead us to Aoharu , where Whimsy wanted to get herself one of the latest vintage denim jackets. Ashia ended up finding the stunning tailored jacket that I had to grab myself as well, it is fantastic and definitely old school in it’s straight from the opshop look. It actually comes with the vest underneath and Ashia styled it well with the adorable button down dark blue skirt and the lovely lace scarf from Miel.
The other great addition are the awesome BAX Prestige boots in the brown, those come with four different browns and one that wouldn’t normally be a first choice was absolutely perfection for the jacket. When Whimsy and I were at Muism early lol, we scoped out what we were going to buy at the sale, which was in a way kind of fun, like making a wish list.
As soon as she saw the asymetrical Zip skirts she knew they would be hers, and sure enough she fat packed it. They also come with a shorter non asymetrical version, so a steal during the sale for sure. The skirts and my fab tank are actually located in the smaller summery store outside and along the pathway, it can be a tad confusing but they are definitely reduced during the sale as well.
Of course Whimsy got distracted by all the pretties at Aoharu, who wouldn’t…so as well as the denim she ended up preparing for the colder weather ahead, and secretly I think it was a way of convincing herself she needed new boots too. She is wearing the Military coat over an old top from Celestial studios that she has had for yonks, and still looks gorgeous.
Now the skin you see on all of us is the NEW Bella by TULI skins that have been released at Skin/Shape Expo, a portion of all sales on these skins will go to the Susan G Kolmen charity that they are raising funds for. We all look so different in this beautiful skin and at the moment Tuli is working hard to get the rest of them released I am sure, but don’t rush her because artists need to take time.
We ended the trip at BP* where my skirt is from, the girls all picked up one or two, and I grabbed another for myself, we decided to take the pics out the back door on the Drowsy Sim. Thankfully we had our VR Professional Library HUDs to be able to change poses with on location even though unable to rez.

Breezing Through
It seems like these pics have been hiding in flickr for weeks, everything has been on fast forward the last few days. Skin/Shape Expo has been going strong since the second the doors opened, and that is a fabulous thing. Right now though I am trying to not lose my mind, due to the fact that my pc seems to want to sound like a powertool all of a sudden and it’s so loud it’s scaring the hell out of me.
I have always felt that the Breeze skins by Gala @ Curio were more of an everyday skin, a bit purer than the Vixen or the Lovely. but by no means does that mean any less sexy. It was just as much fun to dress in different looks for the NEW Breeze 2 skins – now found at Skin/Shape Expo , than it was for the other two.
The first dress I am wearing is actually on my wallpaper, and if you have ever seen my flickr, you will find it familiar, as a dress I recently wore on a romantic dance evening with Mel. It is the Anessa dress by DCNY , named after the delightful Anessa Stine of On Your Toes.
The dress is designed to wear short or long, and has a definite resort/get away kind of romance to it. The colour and style made it perfect for this make up, and opting for bare feet for the evening walk along the beach as the sun sets just felt right.
A day spent outdoors is perfect for the Meeko dress from Bare Rose, I got so excited when I saw this dress, as our favourite pink fox is named Meko and it is such his style. All little girls have at one stage I’m sure had a frock just like this one. The style is so pretty, and the addition of the chest piece not only has the sheer patch but also a curve between the cleavage to actually make the dress more believable in style.
Again able to compliment the beautiful blues in the Breeze 2 Make ups in the Gala skin . The Mary Jane shoes from Miel and their fabulous colour change options worked a treat also, having a lovely cornflower blue in their lights option. The hair I am wearing in the – ok seriously I have been writing this post for 3 days lol – pictures except one are from Clawtooth by Clawtooth , they are the Good Morning and Good Afternoon styles, I really love this hair, there is also a Good Evening with bangs, but these two are my favourite of the three, I am also stoked I went for the red pack not black as usual, because how cute does it look with the kini lol.
The Next picture is the latest releases by Miel, seriously is there nothing those two talents can’t do ? The cali cords are such delightful sculpted skirts with a beautiful belt, you can also buy the belt seperate.
The hoodies, have a beautiful style to them, not your regular sweater hoodie at all. Recently Miel entered hair making, and they have taken to it like ducks to water. The styles I am wearing are either sold with hood attachment or without. So even if you aren’t into the hooded look, you don’t have to miss out on the lovely style.
I really like pulled back bangs do’s, and this one has a lovely widows peak kind of look to it, that is even hotter. The whole look is cool and casual, but with definite style, and the perfect neckline to show off the New at Jewelry fair Primagine Cascade set , this jewelry is really awesome and has that boho but elegant charm that is so in right now. It also doesn’t hurt that it draws attention to the cleavage.
Lastly the Retro Dots Bikini , also from Miel, and so prettyful, the colours available are delightful, and the style is vintagey fun. The top half is sculpted but not hard to edit and it does have a glitch layer.
So as you can see Breeze 2 Skins by Gala are fun and flirty in a ever so pretty way.
