Kittens in a Sack, Kittens in a Sackkkkk my bottom looks like kittens in a sackkkk *sings*. I am sure I have said this in the past about Mesh, well if you weren’t paying attention it is how I describe the look from behind as you move in really well shaded and rigged MESH. By Kittens in a Sack I of course mean playfully as they climb under things and explore whatever they find when they are just little kitten bundles of furry goodness.

I told Onyx about this a while ago, and I was pleased to be able to tell her today that she definitely reached Kitten in a Sack level in the Newly released Nolita dress. The style is just beautiful and simple, the fabric choice soft and body clinging, just the way MESH is supposed to look against the skin. The scoop almost boat shirt neckline is lovely, and the length is just shy of reaching the tops of boots, which is awesome for layering or showing some skin. The dresses come in either solid colours or you can get one of the four – for now 😛 – triple block coloured versions, which are also very cool for accessorising.

One of the accessories is also the new leather satchel bag also Mesh by Maitreya. The bag comes with rigged or not rigged options for the shoulder, and then also forearm attach and hand attach for extra fun. There are great colours available, and the rigged one has a looser fit so that you can layer with sweaters and coats for the upcoming cooler weather. The Jewelry I am wearing is the latest glasses and earrings from Glow Studio, now these are not shown as they come, they are actually animated, but I turned off animated textures in develop menu so that you could see them static and also so I didn’t start clucking like a chicken. The effect when turned on is amazing though, they are called Club for the fact that in a nightclub atmosphere it looks exactly as it would if beams of coloured lights and spotlights were whirling around the room and reflecting off your so cool fashionista shades.

I am also wearing the Collabor88 item by Anya Ohmai, a fabulous Faux Fox in black, which also comes in white and ginger red. This fox stole is superb and whether worn casually as a neck warmer or more formal with a gown or frock, it really is a must have especially at the price, so do not miss out on this, as it is only that price until Jan 7th. I have always vocally and secretly wished that the events that are around SL were monthly instead of weekly. Reason being it would give more time to the designers to go with their vision, but also would give people time to discover the items/events, as well as have the rest of the month to explore the stores that they come across at these events. It would also give everyone time to wear the things that they purchase lol.

One event that has done just that is Collabor88, a fabulous monthly event with some amazing designers, old and newish. The quality is always exceptional, and the range is enough to have me spending thousands in minutes, as was the case two days ago on the 8th when Collabor88 opened it’s doors for the 3rd month I believe – it could be four but anyway. Each month is loosely themed, and you can find everything from poses, skins, clothing and furniture to hair and shoes. If you are a Skin lover it is definitely an event to visit because with almost all the items being 88L you can pick up some incredibly beautiful skins at that price. Last post I showed a Tres Blah skin from the event, and this time it is a Fashionably Dead one. Both are hand drawn and beautiful. The skin comes with different coloured brows, and there is a wonderful mix of make ups available. One thing to point out though, as you all know I am a very vocal blogger about skins having a bare down there option, because of the way clothing has gotten so low in the past few years, as well as sheer lingerie and so on…this skin is not bare, so make sure to demo, but to be honest it is purely a wear with clothes kind of skin for me anyway, and at the price it is amazing.

Also from Fashionably Dead at Collabor88 are the plaid pants I am wearing, they actually come with boots and a belt as well, but I went with just the pants. They only come on the underpants layer as they are supposed to fit snug to the legs inside the boots, but with layering options and such, this is not an issue anyway. I really love the plaid print on these, and there are two other colours also available, so make sure you grab yourself a pair, because with winter knits they will look awesome.

The blouse I am wearing was a past release from Zaara. The Shyla blouse is a voluminous sleeveless blouse that has a really sweet collar and drawstring with beading. The options are wonderful, with either gradient, floral or sequined to choose from. These could easily look sweet and day wear, or move seamlessly to evening wear and sexy. With the long layered hair from Exile, this is a really nice look for anytime.

Down to the feet now, the long awaited first MESH release from Maitreya. Not under the gold label, the Radical Mesh boots come in Soft leather or Reptile, and can be found in the shoe department of the Mainstore. The shape is stunning, and for slouch boot lovers the detailing and leather choice is amazing. The boots are very reminiscent of the past slouch style boots from Maitreya, but with the MESH detailing ability just shining through. When you compare these to their past sculpted boots you really can see how talented the designers are, because what they have been able to achieve in the past, only makes the future drool worthy. I especially love the height of these boots, they fit under the Celoe lolong pants actually giving enough of a lift for the pants bottoms to leave the floor. The heels are incredibly high and thin, with the front platform raised enough to not make this an issue at all, as the front of the foot would be amply supported…these things are so important when presenting a shoe to shoe lovers RL. They come both rigged and unrigged, so for posing the unrigged at times will be very handy with poses not determining the movement of the foot…but the rigged of course for normal wear are just great. The unrigged version also means you can resize them if needed, and there are plenty of sizes to choose from so DEMO DEMO DEMO.

So a girl asked in Fashion Emergency for some help finding an item today, and I went to Marketplace knowing I had seen just the thing there. While there I of course started looking through the pages, Marketplace these days can be like a magazine in a waiting room…either it grabs you so intently that you hope your appointment is delayed, or so annoyingly boring you wish you had brought a book to read. I actually like when some mags are old because I may have missed them, but I hate when there are car magazines and such, I mean sure men go to the doctors and dentists too, but seriously it is the only time they can get away with sneaking a peak and get in touch with their feminine sides lol.

Anyway, I was hooked in by the Voodoo Jungle bikini, shorts and sheer top set first of all. The thing that captured me first off is that it reminded me so much of the Movie The Malibu Bikini Store. Totally an 80’s classic, I swear I must have watched it a dozen times at least it was so silly. I wont ruin it for you, but if you know it you will know why the bikini made me smile. Then the go to store button was just beckoning me, and I looked through the whole collection and this Summer Lily dress caught my attention, the prices are amazing for the work and detailing. The prim work and texturing on said prim work is fantastic. It is a stunning effect to get that effect on flexi prims to actually work , and it really does look as good on as the ad showed it to. Also underneath is another bikini, but also a nice sheer glitch layer so you are all prettyful as you move.

The skin I am wearing is from Tres Blah, one of the ones from Collabor88 if you haven’t gotten this months, best run now because tomorrow it’s a new collection, and 88L for skin of this quality is amazing. This may not be the current, but regardless the only difference will be make up, so make sure you go and grab whatever is there.

I took time out from the platform today, but of course used my VR Studio Library & HUD so that I could pose on location and still be in total control of all the features of the HUD, camera position, poses and anything else needed. Silent Night, Holy Night, all is chaos because you just realised that your Aunt Beatrice is turning up for Christmas and you have to get all her handmade knick knacks out of storage in time to put them up in the house before she arrives. Isn’t that really how Christmas can be? I don’t really have an Aunt Beatrice or any knick knacks in storage, but it does seem like a fun way to stress out over Christmas.

Now the Silent Nights Tree in this case though is a very special tree, you will want to get as soon as possible, because unlike most trees this one is self decorating with your friends and family. This tree is truly awesome, not only does it look great, but the box on the floor with the funky ornaments are all scripted, so that when you click an ornament of your choice it lights up the tree with various areas so that when you click on one of them the ornament will magically appear…meaning that with some fun and caroling you and your friends can have your own unique looking tree, because chances are no one even with the same tree, is going to put their decorations in the same order.

The tree is by Ruxy and you can get it from their store for Christmas, last time I was there Rux was in the middle of decorating the store herself, apparently Christmas is her favourite holiday. The tree is 8 metres tall and 44 prims when decorated, there are also extra gift boxes you can use for decorating, so be sure you have a room with ceilings high enough and enough prims prior to purchase.

Whimsy and I decorated, and I also set out my Lisp Whole Winter Room, which is everything else you see, and was an incredible 100L for the lot at the Christmas Market Lisp has set up at the moment. I am addicted to furniture from Lisp, but alas never set up a house because I never use prims on myself at The Deck, plus Whimsy would do naughty things like turn it all upside down and stuff. After all the pics of the tree, we went downstairs and took another pic under some trees, so there you have it, our morning together because WOW locked her out for maintenance lol.

I am wearing the sweater dress Clio Too by Stellar, I love sweater dresses, they are always so versatile…and with this one having a nice broad scoop neck I can show off accessories and such if I wish to. The leggings are older Zaara items, she did this huge collection of amazing leggings in different lengths and colour mixes, so check those out if you don’t have them. The hair is Wasabi Pills latest Mesh hair and the ringlet style waves framing the face are just divine. Whimsy is wearing a mix of New Celoe items and LeLutka, she looks so awesome and TALL. We are both wearing Ploom skins the new Lea face that is currently only being released as limited offers, Whimsy’s is not available now, but the Jingle Bells one I have on is the current promo.

Redheads of the world rejoice, especially if you love freckles. But even if red isn’t your thing, there be blonde in them there brows.

So Glance just released Daphne, the new Redhead skin with freckles lightly across the bridge of the nose, but as you can see, if you want more, you can add more with the fantastic freckles tattoo layer. The red brows are fantastic, but also included in the pack are blonde brows and those are amazing as well, so for all you lovers of lighter coloured hair, this is definitely a skin worth trying. The make ups are amazing as usual, and there are also cleavage options for larger and smaller. So be sure to DEMO DEMO DEMO.

Adam n Eve have been adding MESH designs to their store, and this Rhia dress is the latest addition. It is an adorable plaid dress with white collar, and it is so retro fun, I had one so similar when I was about 4 years old. But also love that the style reappeared around the mid 80’s with the whole Rude Girl Punk revival. I decided to show off some of the other colours available, it does come in the very awesome red, and I turned into a girl band while doing it.

This gave me the chance to show off the new Booties by Bax Coen, these were released a little while ago, but recently the second edition pack was also released, so there are now more colour options available. The tuxedo looking ones are my favourite for sure, they would look wonderful also with a nice pantsuit. The shape is very cool and clunky and I love that, because it alludes to some great support for big nights out on the town. I am loving the innocent but totally cool look of the quirky hair by Elikatira, whether natural in colour or wild, it is a lovely and fun style.

A must have also this post are the garter socks and leather gloves from Izzies, these come in huge packs for very little cost, so they are perfect for mixing and matching, and are also mod, so you can tint the gloves as I did with the pink ones to be a bit closer to the dress colour.

Now for something different, anyone that loves to mod, and play in PS should read on…

Blue Galaxy has been around for many years, and recently you saw some of Ash Soyinkas creations during this years Hair Fair. Her first fair, and her first foray into hair creation. She made all her styles the week before the event lol. Anyway, she has been teasing me and her customers with snapshots of upcoming MESH avatars, and finally the Feline Avatar has been released.

First off the female version is hell sexy, and the head (sculpt) is scripted to blink and move ears, and has different mouth movements, that are all so adorable. The rest of the avatar is Mesh and is just delightful. But it gets incredibly better than that. Ash is a firm believer in modifications, and not only do you get the avatar, but also the panties and tank top…and then when all purchased you get the chance to download the files for ALL of the textures in PSD form, and you can do any mods you want to it. She even encourages you to then sell the modification textures or share them with friends, it is up to you. MINDBLOWING! it doesn’t stop there, even the new Cargo pants come with the PSD info, so again you can buy the pants and then make as many versions as you like for yourself or sell them etc.

Just to show you how easy it was, I did the tank and pants on the right just to show you, that even I can do it. The belt buckle originally had her BG on it, but seriously everything is there to work with, shading, base colours, even overlay texture that gives the item some depth. Now mine are not overly exciting, but since then I have seen another persons mod, and the pants looked incredible. Mine will just make sure cars see me in the dark lol, I love yellow so much.

But again not just the clothing is PSD File supplied, but every single part of the avatar, even the hair texture, so you can create your own colours. The eyes, are coloured with tint in world, and originally the silver Feline comes with Purple eyes, so I made them green.

The price of these avatars is amazing also, so if you are a full time furry and looking for a new you, or even dabble on occasion, then get thee to Blue Galaxy, because you will be able to make this avatar your very own unique look, with just a few brush strokes. Just be sure to make copies of everything first, or keep the box somewhere safe to unpack again.

Another post from me, that’s two in 7 hours :O shocking I know. But I couldn’t wait to show the love for these items a day more.

The boots I am wearing are the latest MESH items from Treads. You may remember Treads from Shoe Fair, they did those amazing crocodile loafers that were all the rage, and in such incredible colours. Well the Charlie boots are done as well, and with such rich full colour options it is impossible not to want them all. The pastel especially will go well with the recent release of the Weekend  Traveler bag from Mon Tissu. They are also rigged MESH, so you will have to try the demos for sizing. At first I thought I was the SS size, but the MS ended up a better fit overall. There are different options in each size, so be sure to try them, they are just gorgeous, and you get three colours per pack and they change by clicking the right toe. They are must have boots for the upcoming cold weather, and you will find it awfully hard to have the winter blues in these.

Now when I think of new shoes/boots in SL naturally I think of Anessa Stine, which then leads to DCNY, so it was a natural path to the clothing I am showing today. The Wool Mini Dress is a sexy short dress, with a sophisticated collar and lovely knit. It can as I am showing be worn with or without the skirt option, very easily especially with Mesh pants such as the Xui trousers from Celoe that I just had to wear again.

The dress actually has no sleeves, but I am showing first on the left with the Lyn Cardigan MESH also from Celoe, that has a wonderful shape and fit, with the knit being in keeping with the overall look. Another great knit is the Poncho that is part of this years Peace on Earth hunt item from DCNY, so be sure to get that when you can. All about knits and boots, the bolero I have on is from Ruxy, I saw this on the What’s New SL website yesterday, and took notice of the great colours…then as soon as I saw the sulfur colour in the Charlie boots it was a TP straight over to grab the similar colour.

I am using the brand spanking new Firestorm Mesh viewer, Whimsy was reading me the pro’s and con’s and I uploaded it too. New updates always make me nervous because when I find a viewer that works, I am like a dog with a bone, do not try and take it away from me. But yay this one is wonderful and not only is it mesh, but it has new features, one being that you can now do multiple search terms in inventory, such as for the scarf I have on – even though I knew exactly where it was and its name – I typed Maitreya + Scarf and voila, two folders down and I had it – due to the fact that they have made more than one scarf. This is a great feature, and if it is on all viewers, designers may have to start including the proper names for things, such as shoes, boots, hair etc in the final names of items.

The hair I am wearing is Colette from Exile, a beautiful up do with lose tendrils at the back that will look stunning with a backless dress. The poses I am using are from Geez, the more you buy the more she will make I think, so get to it :P.

I have said it in the past, that Roslin Petion and I have this kind of strange Bloggers Fate thing going on, whenever she would contact me in the past, I would be on a posestand, and what she would send would be exactly the colour or style, or shade I needed at the time. It never failed to surprise me, but this time it was an extension of that same fate that tagged itself on to my post at the very end.

I have had this lingerie set for a few weeks, and even worn it out shopping lol, but today was the day I knew I had to get it shown as it is only available at the Vintage Fair at the moment, until Roslin sets up her new store Coquette. So I was ready to work out my look and went from the gorgeous lingerie to look for which skins. I knew I had some Curio still needing to be shown and voila there was the Jewel pack, which of course had the same colours as the lingerie, it being available in emerald and sapphire as well as pink and wine – not shown.

Then time for hair, I knew I was behind in some Wasabi Pills posts so grabbed those and unpacking them wore them in the order they appeared in recent. The two longer styles being MESH look so perfect on the body, and the way they move with poses is brilliant. I also love the colours, and of course their names are fun too, mind you they did make me hungry.

So there I was taking my pics, and fiddling in PS, and it came to the last pic, and tossing up whether to go wine or sapphire…sapphire won, then I put on the last hair and thought oooo isn’t that cute, it’s got stars on the pigtails, how festive. First I wore the pancake colour, and thought naaah – but yeah didn’t help with the hungry, so I actually paused for a break and had some soup – then returned and changed the colour hair to black coffee – which I don’t drink – but this is all timing believe me.

Then out of the blue, a parcel gets sent from Dita Tran of Fulo and I laugh, the name of the item is Shalom Star Sapphire set…now seriously, had I not stopped and eaten etc I would have been done with my pics and moved on, but Roslin worked her powers again I swear and here is the complete look. The Shalom set is actually part of the upcoming Peace on Earth hunt, so be sure to grab the set because it is just beautiful and perfect for Christmas. The lingerie is a must have also, Roslins lingerie always is, and I for one cannot wait until she opens a store, but it gives you a chance to run over to Vintage Fair again and grab you some Cheesecake – seriously it is no wonder I was hungry.

I am wearing some fierce looking footwear today also. The heels on these made me go running, and the options are great. Allowing for you to wear stockings with them as well as them having the natural skin tones for skins…also strap options these shoes from NCore are great value.

The skin is perfect Gala, the tones are different than ones I am used to, but still with the light dark options, and incredible make ups, I even settled into the Jewel Pure 1 to stay on for a while, that and the Emerald are going to be faves. They also are perfect for Christmas pics, with the jewel tones and rich blends…start thinking sexy Christmas cards early on.

A quickie today, as this outfit really impressed me loads. It can be worn as a whole look, or take the parts and mix and match with other wonderful items. I especially love the tights worn under the hotpants, they are so well made and striking.

This outfit is from Indyra Originals, and the workmanship is superb, also all layers and options for prim parts. The outfit was the perfect look for the new hat by Celoe as well, this hat is MESH and comes with silver or copper embellishments. I really love the air of mystery it invokes in the wearer, great job. Finishing it off and also by Indyra is the Augustine boots, knee high boots that really work with the whole ensemble.
