I think that with this dress, I could put a spell on you, well not you, because I do not know you, nor would I want to put a spell on a stranger…but you catch my drift, the dress is sultry, provocative and downright mesmerizing. I have owned it for a while, but on a trip to Vale Koer the other evening with the girls, I saw it again and thought, I do not think I could have not purchased that if seen in the past, and sure enough in my inventory it was. I shop a lot, and things often get left in objects, they find a happy home there and well yeah, I should really unpack what I purchase, but I am thinking of the grid and what that would cause.

The dress has three options in each colour if you fat-pack it, and really if you ever Vale Koer, fat-packing is the most satisfying solution ( much can be said for most shops I frequent ), as they do a lot more options with texture changing when you do.

It is about to be the next round of Uber, which is their Birthday round, and because of that each Designer was able to invite a creative friend. Slink was the guest of Baiastice, and Second Spaces the guest of Cheeky Pea. Slink created these fetish inspired ballet heels that will work with the Slink Pointe feet or the Deluxe feet in the Pointe position.

Cheeky Pea and Second Spaces did a living room set, which the great steel lamp is from, but it ended up a little cropped in my pic, but make sure you check that collection out, the lamps especially are fantastic.

I had a hole that needed filling, so Mel came up with a good idea to fix it, so now I feel like I am having a WB experience. Kind of a I’m not bad, I am just drawn that way kind of thing, though now I am mixing my cartoon homes a little.

Moving on, I have these ever so sexy shoes by Breathe that are a rare gacha item at Epiphany. However if you are lucky enough to get the rare, you get a whole fatpack, and with the mix and match strap options, you can create so many combinations.

I grabbed the fatpack of this dress, and each colour has combinations, so while I did not imagine I would go for one of the gradients so early on, it ended up being perfect to really show the versatility of the shoes. Because of all this beautiful blue and white, I was able to revisit some older silver jewellery pieces.

The necklace is divine petal to the metal work by Baiastice. It comes in other metals, but the silver is divine. The earrings are by Maxi Gossamer, and due to her options to change stones, metals etc, I was able to choose a silver white combo that was perfect.

The hair is one of the many I purchased at Hair Fair that has now ended for another year. This style is by Adoness, and is being worn with the default hairbase by LeLutka, because they match up so well in the highlights on the black it worked out perfect.

One very important thing about this hair, is that when worn at first the pompadour portion did not fit, I assumed at first this would mean needing to edit my head or no such luck, but I wondered if Adoness had done the bangs trick and sure enough, her front is not rigged, so it does move independently of the rest of the hair, for a perfect fit. Always be sure to check if you can reposition hair in edit, as if the hair has been constructed for that kind of thing you are in luck.

I am wearing a Modish skin that is in the last Powder Pack, it also came with body appliers in Omega, so it was a full head to toe look, great value. I also tinted the lipstick and upped the shimmer so that it was wet looking without becoming matte like sometimes tinting can do. The eyeshadow is by AlaskaMetro which is also in the Powder Pack for July, so if you didn’t get it, consider grabbing it, as even at full price, well worth it.

Happy Bandana Day to one and all, if you have not gotten yours yet, you can run over to the sims and grab them by the handful, as they will all be gone after midnight tonight.

LeLutka was unable to participate this year for Hair Fair, but to show their forever support of the event, they still made Bandanas in 6 colours for us to have for the Bandana Booths. They are stylish and elegant, and the colour options are divine. When they are only 50L each, you need to be getting everything you can, as all Bandanas each year after the event will not be available.

I hope to get another post out today, but in case I don’t know that I did grab as many as I could carry out the door, and the booth doors are wide. Teaming this one up with the incredible floor length dress by Scandalize. Whimsy and I were at The Chapter Four, saw their booth, she tpd to their main while I was still trying the demo, and a few moments later we were fatpacking all in sight. They do all the body options and their items are not only gorgeous, but seriously check out the fatpack pricing it is RIDICULOUS! – in a great way for you.

Adorning myself with some beautiful jewellery pieces by LaGyo and RedMint, you can actually see the ring this time, and these cool wall hanging pieces I grabbed at TCF as well. I hope you have all had a blast this Hair Fair, I know I did, it took me days to get all my shopping done, and I was aiming to try and show, but seriously the folder is so big I would be unpacking forever, cannot wait to wear it all though.

I joined Hair Fair committee in 2007, I missed the first by a month, and was so honored to be part of something so enormous. I had had the idea for Bandana Day, a day on the last day of the event, that people would remove their hair to show they care. I approached Six Kennedy (much missed) about the idea, and she spoke to Elikapeka Tiramisu and they dragged me into a skype call with a dozen hair creators. It was incredible to be part of something so important, and Elika was kind enough to let us replicate a bandana she had made with hair in the past, so that that was the original base for the first bandanas.

Everyone got on board, designers from all over the grid, and I logged in there every day for the two weeks and watched, and took in every single thing that went on. Much of that first year for me, gave us ideas to be used in years going forward, and are as much a part of  the event as the bandanas, such as bloggers day, the buses, how the booths are designated etc.

I am grateful that Six and Elika took a chance on me, and I am really honored each year to help with something so special. I used to think of ways to fundraise in RL and my mind would imagine all these things that were just not possible, they were not something I could have really been able to do. Second Life gives us the chance to help people in ways we could never imagine possible…to do things for others that span the whole world. I think each and every day Second Life enriches us, gives us opportunities that we can run with, whether it be as a creator, a blogger, a shopper or visitor, no one leaves Second Life without having in some way contributed to the bigger picture.

Yesterday I did a post on the Most Valuable Players for Hair Fair, for me it is also Six and Elika, and also everyone in Second Life, and Linden Lab (this year I remembered to leave off the S )  who also help us leading up to and during the event. So thank you to everyone that visits Hair Fair, this year and years past, in whatever capacity, you really make a difference.

Now I tried to dress warmer, as I am freezing, and added a tattoo applier layer top under my pinafore dress by Narcisse (tattoo layer as the straps are close to the body, and clothing layer will clip)  , and then of course Australianised it with thongs lol thigh high thongs no less, kind of defeated the wanting warmth part of my story, but I look fabulous so not caring, not even a little. The dress has some great colour options, and I went with one of the bonus fatpack colours. It also has texture change parts for straps, waistband, skirt and front panel, so you can rainbow yourself if you like.

Because of holding the bag, you cannot actually see the incredible ring I have on, which is bento for my slink hands, and has all the other bento hands and an unrigged option also. While I bring it up though, is that Red Mint is now selling her Jewellery in RL as well, and it looks amazing. Included is the link to her online store, and the jewellery is really lovely, and as much as possible I like to share the info of our SL creators that go RL, as it is great being able to wear items RL that way too.

It is like 2009 up in here, three posts in one day…oh wait it must be Hair Fair time :D. These styles are by the wonderful Vanity Hair, and if you are not aware Vanity Hair is one of the founders of the monthly event HairOlogy. Every year leading up to and during Hair Fair, they show the event such respect as to shut their doors and give hair creators the time off to focus on preparing for this annual event. we think that is so awesome of them, and it shows how strong a community Hair creators often are.

These styles are so laid back and fun, that I ended up zoning out on the water, and really chilling for a bit. A much needed rest. The styles vary from fun and a bit zany, to playful and charming with the ability to glam up if required, these are things you need from hair and Vanity Hair achieves that. I am wearing my LeLutka head hairbases with the styles, while there are also ones included, however I was also using the tattoo layer for this great wet look for face and body that Izzie’s recently released at Summerfest.

I decided to merge some pieces at this round of C88, and create my own tankini look, by using the amazing bikini bottoms by Blueberry, with the knotted tank by Spirit. Using their texture change huds to bring them together into the same colour range, black and gold and a unique take on the pieces, giving you more bang for your buck. I was able to do the same with the Love bracelets by Noir, also a C88 item and the whole ensemble ended up black and gold love.

One of those things that I know how to spell without even thinking about it because of Second Life, Bliensen + MaiTai, the other thanks to Whimsy is Apothecary. It is actually a very long list, of things that Second Life brings into your real life, with learning software, spelling things you never knew you would use so often, and the many other hundreds of SL quirks that just rule our lives now.

So Bliensen + MaiTai always have such imaginative hairstyles at Hair Fair, and this year they interspersed some roleplay looks with some of their known for vintage styles. I was overjoyed that one of the dresses I just recently unpacked from sYs was the perfect look, and colours for these styles. To get that coordinating lipstick, I actually tinted one of the Ohemo lipsticks from this current Powder Pack, with the tinting option in the LeLutka head HUD. Also a LeLutka made for item, the Lashes I am wearing are from Stellar, and there are a few different styles to choose from, giving you fuller fluffier lashes, which was perfect for this look.

sYs always bring it when it comes to their Hair Fair styles, in fact they bring it with every event I ever see them do. They have their own style by definition, and it has such a fantastic mix of Futuristic and Asian influences, with an abundance of that French eye for detail.

Wearing sYs items always gives me a feeling of rawr, take on the world, save the planet, or just take charge in general kind of feeling, you know when you cannot make time for the whole planet…we all have those days right. All three styles are fun and alluring, and the dress shirt which is also by them is a must have for me, it is incredibly easy to wear and look fabulous, and teamed up with these killer platforms that came in the Bound box, this month’s subscription, I am making plans and taking names, and getting it all done.
