Shirt Dresses are the perfect way to dress casually or dressy in the kind of weather everyone is having up there at the top of the world right now. They are beautiful, and Baiastice did a fantastic job with their release at C88 this round.

The carefree style was perfect to accompany any of the three beautiful styles by Mina at this years Hair Fair. She has created perfect carefree styles, that have a few features in two of the styles, giving you extra options and better fit. A recent change of textures makes her brunette colours so rich and well looked after. Mina also has a beautiful gift style in her booth at the fair, you can see HERE in the coverage of the gifts at Hair Fair.

Ready to take it on the road with this fun car by Nomad, that does have its own poses included, but I went with the ones included in a bento Ao I picked up at SLC recently.

IMPORTANT LESSON LEARNED!

This Hair Fair has been a real eye opener, as in if you don’t keep them open, you will miss a lot of very important information and features. Because of Hair Fair, I tend to spend the leading up months in a bit of an ‘under a rock’ mode. While I was aware these features were a thing, I did not see the different ways they were being included in people’s products.

This is not specific to the hair featured, this is just a lesson I learned last night on another full sim shop. When trying a demo, I tend to not bother with the colour huds, I know what I like, am often familiar with the stores colours, and just look at the hair and the sizes the hair may come in. This almost bit me in the bottom last night, in a way that would have lost me some very exciting hair, and also cost the creator some lindens, because I was about to not purchase, all pouty and sad face.

I had tried on a style, loved it, was all excited about it leading up to the shopping outing, and tried the one demo option and cried. It did not fit me in the chest. Now I am used to the stores that do + options or (_)(_) options or just Breasts and every other type of naming. So seeing only one, lead me to believe there was only one. However, when I was still pouting on my Hair Fair Bus with Ashia and Vivian, I was trying to edit the bus to move it and caught my hair, when I did it showed there was more to the hair than visible.

Now again, I know that transition hair is very popular now, it has however been a thing since before I was born in SL as I remember it back in 06…but comes and goes, and it is full steam ahead mode now, as mesh makes it more desirable . However I had only seen styling HUDs included with the packs, so that if I saw one of those, I knew the hair did more, it had more options. What I didn’t know, was that some stores are doing that part in their COLOUR huds. So again, not bothering with needing to see the colours, I did not put the hud on and see the other features.

I ransacked the demo folder again, looked for a style hud, not to be seen, threw on a colour hud just in case, and as an option, was not only different looks as in forward of shoulders, behind shoulders etc, but different breast options for the same features. The sky literally opened and beams of light cascaded upon me FATPACKING IT IS! Not even joking, had I not misclicked that store would be down 1600L and I would have been grumpy all the way …. to the next booth 😛

Now that being said, the styles being featured today, also have the transition options in their colour HUD, but by the time I was trying that hair on I was a smarter hair enthusiast, and prepared for this to be a thing. It however fit me, so that would have not been a need, but it was a lovely surprise to find that there were so many bangs options for the ponytails style.

So the moral of this story, as long as it is….is GO BACK TO HAIR FAIR and anything you did not think fit you properly when you demod, may be worth revisiting and trying again, because there may be hidden options for that exact thing.

Now onto the goodies. The styles featured are from Amacci, as the title of the post suggests, and whatever Carina has been doing of late, she needs to keep on doing, because everything is just beautiful. The options, the textures, the styles, all just work in the perfect combination of needs. Her booth is lovely, the ads are so pretty, it was just a really exciting feeling entering her space.

Another store that blows my mind everytime they release anything is Mutresse, now I have mentioned in the past the incredible amount of texture change options in every piece of her work, but this time it is simply taking the time to utilise the way you see her items in a folder. We all know that folders unpack in a mess, and one extra space behind a name can throw one item to a completely different place in the folder than the rest. Now with sizes and bodies to cater to, tops and bottoms and all that jazz, it can be chaos.

I noticed in the last Slink update that they had also done a bit of work on making sure that all notecards sat at the top of their folders, by using * at the front of each title, putting it at the top. I myself use symbols in my inventory to put things where I need them… exclamation marks put things at the top and ~ tilde symbol puts things at the bottom, which is helpful for folders inside other folders.

But what Mutresse has done is epic, and I hope many take notice…

Genius!

Not only do they have great style, but they have a complete understanding of how customers need to see at a glance what they themselves need. Now need is important too, because you all need this tunic and bikini set just released at Collabor88. The tunic is beautiful lace, and fits perfectly over the bikini, but it also fit over these capri pants by Maddict, and as often as I can, I try and find combinations you can mix, as it does play a big part in deciding what to invest your lindens in.

The bikini top and bottoms have separate ties attachments, and everything has texture change options, not only in lace similar to the tunic, but the top and bottoms also as shown come in solids versions. I personally would love to see a solid version of the tunic, but that is just a wish not a need.

I am wearing the outfit with some also by Mutresse shoes, that were actually last months C88 item, they also have many colour combos you can go with, but when I wear them in all black, they remind me of Irish Dancing shoes, and that is just too cute.

I changed skin for the first time in a week, and went with the Paris skin by YS&YS, I really like the detail on this skin, and I opted for some recent Powder Pack make up by Alaska Metropolitan, who has an incredible talent for make up. Using the tinting option on the LeLutka head HUD, I was able to make the eyeshadow a touch closer in colour to the beautiful lipstick. It tinted so well actually I will get colours for days out of it. The tinting option on your head HUD is the paintdrop icon under the posestand option.

Lastly, and if you are still reading, I applaud you, the necklace by Maxi Gossamer is also at this round of C88, and it fits so well with a little rotating and moving, no resizing needed for me. Changed the textures to ones in keeping with my theme and voila, fabulous.

She could be a farmer in those clothes! Mel often laughs at my inability to recognise quotes from movies…even though I watch hundreds a year, I don’t tend to focus in on things that become referenced often. I mean I know important ones, like ‘ I carried a watermelon’ which of course is followed with ‘No one puts baby in the corner’ well actually there are so many from that one movie. I did not know ‘ We are going to need a bigger boat’ until recently, but now I see it everywhere. But I did put together this look and have me a Clueless moment.

This hair by Tableau Vivant at Hair Fair 2017 is a delight, it actually comes default with a white bandana, and I loved the purity of that, but then I went all out, and by all out I mean, I got me some wellies full perm and textured them to match my ensemble,  that is some Bloggers dedication right there.

The three styles are all marvelous, from short to long and all three give off a very casual and relaxed vibe. The shirt I am wearing is an in store release by Tee*fy, that has colour hud options and some cute print styles, one made me laugh for a few more minutes than it should, I will let you find that for yourself.

The shorts are by Narcisse, and are in the store, they work well with the top shown the other day. High Waisted with a really nice sharp crease front and back that really adds a much needed finish to the look. I had been wanting to show my gardening skills for a while now, my Mum would be so proud of my Rhubarb crop – proud or eat it all, one or the other.

MALE HAIR AVAILABLE! I just thought I would put that out there, in case anyone was looking 🙂 there is a Male style and a Male Gift in the Exile booth at Hair Fair 2017.

The four styles shown are a great mix of looks from Exile, you have your playful to sophisticated covered, and the longer styles all have a bento option, that gives movement to the hair, which is fun, with fingers wiggling and hair swishing, SL just got well and truly animated for the summer.

One of the important things when showing upper body, is having a great canvas to shoot against, and in this regard it is this beautiful top by Narcisse. It was released for Vintage Fair, and is now in the Mainstore. I have been grabbing it when I can as a go to, because I love the mandarin collar, the keyhole cut, and the puff sleeves. I really like the ribbed finish to the hemline, and was overjoyed to see how well it fit the pants by The Secret Store at this current round of C88. Finding mesh that goes together is always a big deal, especially when both pieces are so complimentary to each other.

The intricate sunglasses by Noodles, also bring a great retro classic look to the ensemble, so if you shopped both events, you will be so happy about the ability to mix and match.

The month has flown past, with Hair Fair preparations, I spent most of the month with one shoe on and a hairbase. At some stages I lost my hands, had part of my body missing and it just was not important. Now that it is underway, it is time to get back into everything, including of course featuring Hairstyles from the event.

The first feature is Iconic. They have three stunning styles at the event, and when this new jumpsuit by Thalia Heckroth crossed my path, I knew the perfect style to feature with it. Thalia is now making sizes to fit other bodies and this one is for the Slink Hourglass. It also has other coloured denims, I especially like this dark version.

When I was little, my Mum had an incredible wardrobe, transitioning from the 60’s to 70’s and jumpsuits aplenty. She had a great khaki one I have mentioned in the past, and this denim one is identical to one she had also. She had long hair once I came along, but when she was rocking out in London, she had a perfect pixie cut in platinum blonde GO MUM! The fact that she is tiny and I am tall, I outgrew her shoes by the time I was 8, so the fabulous clothing never got to be mine. So thank you Thalia and Neveahm, for giving me the chance to play dress ups with a fond memory.

If you have been to Hair Fair you will have seen the new to this year Hair Fair Hares. They are an Anya Ohmai, Mel Vanbeeck and the Hair Fair Committee collaboration, and there are 6 to collect in four colours, each colour represents the hair colour themes of the sims. You can also pick up the matching bandanas to wear yourself, but these huggables are great if not wanting to remove your hair, but can instead rock these out anytime. You will find them in the bandana booths, one on each sim, and 100% of sales goes to Wigs for Kids.

This is Dr Jones, he is my favourite, he reminds me of Sean Connery in Indiana Jones. Also worn with my ensemble, are these fabulous bamboo earrings by LaGyo and the great mid height feet shoes by Ingenue, that are both at C88 at the moment, this round ends on the 7th. The skin is Kendall, by Glam Affair, also at C88, so mixing the pieces combines a fabulous nostalgic look.
