Print-sess Sasypants
After the wall and window, a billboard just had to be next, right? I found it hilarious that the background sky in the stock image was so clear, devoid of any clouds, it had me wanting wind light in there, which is funny, because with my settings so that I see things the way I need to, I don’t have clouds either, pretty much other than the tone, that is exactly how I see the sky day to day.
One of the hardest things with clothes making to work with I think, would have to be prints. The way the mesh works, and distorts, and then of course the upper and lower portion of the top half of the body. Who knew you had to make the bottom part larger to get it to match? well luckily for us, many creators do know that, and LeeZu actually did a great tutorial on just that recently on her website.
Side seams however do not phase me, some people get all wanky about it, but when is the last time you saw print in RL match on the sides, it is just not economically viable in RL to cut fabric that way because of waste and time. Possibly if the item was screen printed after being made into clothing, then it would work, but still, I am just not that nutso about it. The difference though in seam speak is that people need to explain when they mean print meeting, and not sides joining…because they are two different things. If the front doesn’t join to the back without a big obvious flaw gap with the underarm area looking all crazy, then that is just not so cool. Worse still if it isn’t hidden under the arms at all, like socks or the tops of pants, then that should never go to the wall – by that I mean set for sale.
Anyway I am rambling, and what I am rambling about, other than a great use of prints, has nothing to do with this post lol. Tutti Frutti is a store that boldly goes to the wall lol, the prints in her store are marvelous, and the pants are just HOT HOT HOT, recently Bela had a set of pants for a gift at The Deck and they were all I wore for a few days, so comfy and fun. These new pants just released are gorgeous, hard to choose which ones to favourite, as they all have such stand out qualities. I would have to say though I am partial to the Under Roses jeans, and the ones featured on the billboard are my ode to Newdolls Feet :P.
With the NEW Aequus shoes by Maitreya Gold having the ability to two tone it, I found it a must to go with as much colour as possible. Toning it down with the stunning skin by Tuli that has been created for The Dressing Room – Info about that in Tuli’s Group notices – at a phenomenal discount. The Aequus shoes are a stunning pvc sheen leather with ankle wraps kept on with delicate straps and buckles, I really like the ankle wrap addition, because it gives the straps a nice background, letting them stand out more as a feature than practical workings of the shoes.
I am wearing more Fri.day Hair, that SALE was and still is awesome, so make sure you take the time to get over there, and creators, if you often take pics because of vendor ads etc, now is the time to stock up on hair for future ads, make the most of the bargains. You will also notice when looking at the Fri.day ads that Pavarti wears a lot of Tuli in her ads, YAY Tuli.

Mi Mi Mi So La Ti Dooooooooooooooooooo
One of my favourite things as a blogger, is when colour palettes just work. Even more exciting is when one has nothing to do with the other, and yet somehow they match.
Such was the case with the latest releases from MichaMi and Kookie, the new City Wedge shoes have colours that work so well with the latest from Milla, it is so easy to put looks together, or just make life simpler and slip your feet into the shoes and your body into the clothes and be done with it.
I went the simple route today, as it is my Sunday, and I have lots of work to do. The Nina pieces are a mesh lovers delight, with the tanks being ever so versatile, and the capris and crop having a sort of futuristic sporty theme going on. I guess the mesh would cool your body down much faster, so that works, mind you not sure how I would go running in those shoes, but then again all good fashionista’s can run in heels right?
The hair I am wearing is newness from SHAG, it is actually out for one of the get it cheaper now pay more later kind of groupy things that seem to happen a lot lately. The Hawke is a male style but I couldn’t resist. Hawkes look so cool with hairbase skins, and the Lola by Lelutka works a treat.
Underneath the Mesh tanks, I have on the Fri.day sweet.heart dress bodysuits, YAY for a SALE at Fri.day until the 12th. I was able to grab the colours I didn’t have in the dresses that have the bodysuits, such good value.In the next pic I am wearing the beautiful Kat Dresses and Samara Tops, both such easy to wear items. If you are not a fan of sculpted skirts the Kat dress has a system skirt option also, it is really awesome how much Milla does with her clothes to provide for every variation.
Some great socks from DeLa, they come in all different lengths and colours as an all in one pack, and the City Wedges again which are so much fun.

WOOOHOOO Mannequin skins, with a kind of kinky twist I guess lol.
While I won’t be needing the xrated version of these skins, they do make great RP skins, or work perfectly for showing products. So as I had doing a window display in my head for the past few days now, this was the perfect excuse to give it a whirl. I am not a hundred percent happy with my layout, for one I should have a door in there somewhere so that the windowdresser person can get in and out to change the windows, but lets pretend these ones open from the front, and that if that was true the window wouldn’t be too heavy for the hinge and fall and crush my foot.
Yes these are things I think about, it is Mel and Fia’s fault, they both instilled in me too much of the ‘ It has to be possible” even in this virtual world, if you are trying to create something based on reality, you kind of cannot cheat. how about a sliding door mechanism? where the glass slides up above on rollers of some sort, hiding in the frame work? Nah, now I worry about the power going out and the poor window person getting trapped in there with no oxygen * Le Sighs.
Ok ignore all of that and lets get to the goodly stuff. So the skin is a new release by Adam n Eve and is a liquid metal style effect, there is actually a gold version as well, these are very cool, and just the thing to show off the Rosamund Gowns. Now while I didn’t ask for confirmation, I am going to say that the gown is named after Rosamund the Mistress of King Henry II, mostly because Sachi is from the UK so it works with my story. Either way it is a lovely gown with a pretty veil look and even has a kind of spanish thing going on there.
Coming back to the street though we have the Mei Li skin, an asian skin by Adam n Eve also that Sachi keeps tweaking. I remember actually blogging one of her asian skins in 2007, back when it was almost impossible to find ethnic skins. Adam n Eve has always striven to cover as much as possible when it comes to content. The skins now have a freckle option on the tattoo layer, as well as all the other usual extras an A&E skin has. The body is very toned, and while that is a popular look from many, I do prefer options in that area, especially a little softer, so that all shapes get the benefit.
That is why DEMOS rock right, whoever came up with the DEMO idea for skins, is someone we should really appreciate.
The hair I am wearing in the pics is all by Dernier Cri, it is that time of the year when Asuka has more time off College and works on her store YAY. Looking forward to more fab styles like these ones. I have to admit I still get such a kick out of watching the hair dye process in her wigs.

On the 4th of June the Black and Blue Fair – Fashion for Mental Health Awareness –
will open it’s doors, or at least open it’s airspace to the public, seeing as I don’t think I actually noticed a door while there.Keira Seerose and her team have put together an amazing event, combining space for dozens of stores all over Second Life, some familiar and some new to me brands, which makes this event a MUST ATTEND. All of the items are available only at the fair for it’s duration, but it is not only the range, but also the pricing that will have you right click buying everything in sight.
:: T HEÂ P U R P O S E :: Explained by Keira Seerose
The purpose of this fair is twofold… firstly, FASHION. Who doesn’t love a good fashion event? Brand new items, some at discount rates, all in one glorious place. Lovely. Secondly though, there will be information about all sorts of mental health issues and illnesses throughout the venue. Mostly these will be visual aids around the precious couture so that people don’t have to read huge chunks of text. The main purpose of the fair is to de-stigmatise mental health issues. A lot of people in Second Life have unhappy “real lives”… for whatever reason. Some of us are unwell, disabled, depressed and other people are just lonely or don’t like who they think they are; but no one is alone and in SL we can be ourselves. So don’t let it beat you black and blue… couture can help!Whimsy and I were so impressed by this event, and did see all of the subtle ways of sharing information, such as the international crisis centre phone numbers on the wall etc. This is such a positive event, one of many that Second Life residents put on each year to help others, another reason to appreciate this Virtual World that gives so much of it’s time and heart to others.

BAM BABY BANG
I like this one even more than the other, I am going to have fun with this background etc.
More summer lovin coming from the LeLutka side of town. This time not only items by Thora Charron but also Kianna Noel, one of the newer team of LeLutka Designers. The lovely tops in the first and third picture are by Kianna, and the first one is my favourite of the two just because of the options and the bra.
The Junia Jeans are going to be a great wear this season, the colours are great, and the fit is perfect. Not too high, not too low, they fit the hips just right. I was playing around with the hats from LeLutka, and am excited that in the coming weeks there will be more hats added to the mix, I cannot wait for that.
STOP Hammer Time, seriously I wore these pants for three days straight and built a house, they were that comfortable I just got into a zone wearing them, was so excited too, it might never get finished, but I made all the furniture and the textures and everything, I think I took the hammer part too literally lol.
The pants and the beautiful sarong style tops are going to be great for summer walks along the beach, or just those days when you find yourself staring off into the horizon as you answer IM after IM, you may as well look fantastic doing it right?
Do you remember life before sculpties? I don’t honestly always believe they are necessary, and I still think some of the most incredible work in SL is still done with prims – perfect example the Jewelry I am wearing.
But sometimes you get this Oh WOW! how did they do that? feeling over an item or part of. That is how it was with the clasps on these pants, a sturdy push and snap system we are all familiar with RL, but sometimes when it is done with sculpties it really helps appreciate the talent and process, and how far we have come with content over the years. Something as simple as snap fasteners on pants can do that. Or even in this case the unzipped cuffs, these pants are so cute, and the print on the back even more so, but I left that up to you to find out about.

Slick and Slide
After the third crash I had to come back home, it was fun while it lasted though. Callie Cline just finished her latest build, and an impromptu party occured, a good old fashioned barn raising I think you would call it. I had to come home though and type this up, lots to do, lots to do.
I was checking out What’s New SL as I do, and realised that Izzie’s had a release, I ran over to get me some of the fab new items, and grabbed probably an oldie or two while I was at it. The frill suit is so win, and comes in many colours, I went with the black and put it on immediately, swanning about and realised I better jump on my VR Posestand or I will end up wearing it and then forgetting to blog it at a later date.
Now while this is just gorgeous I am a bit weepy to the fact that it was done all in one. As in the shirt/undershirt layers are the top white of the shirt as well as the top of the shorts, rather than making the high waist on a jacket layer separate. Even though I do love as is, I really wish it had been done the other way, so that I would be able to mix and match the bottoms with other items, and the top also with other things, even items from Izzie’s own range of wonderful things.
Note to Designers, don’t flatten and merge separate pieces of clothing, it makes the fashionable cry. Maybe I can find some other highwaisted pants that go high enough to wear with the top of the top and frill, so cute.

She left a comment on my blog yesterday, and I went snooping on her blog and fell for many things, but mostly this hair, so Yay, thanky Desiree ♥
Now onto things I keep wearing and forgetting to blog, this was a gift from my favourite Xstreet shopper Mel, lol seriously he is getting so good at finding me treats I just die for. The other week he bought me this stunning new corset set, and to my shock it is made by J’s , the same J’s that gives us our fabulous footwear.
Not only is the texturing divine, but the cups to the corset are actually sculpted, and so well done with scripts and a hud to resize exactly how needed. If J’s goes into clothing it is going to be amazing to see. You get the stockings and garters, corset and panties as well as full length gloves. I have been wearing the corset with pants and it is just beautiful to wear, if you click on the sculpted breast covering you get the option to choose lace or no lace in the cups category.
I decided that if I was going to show it in its full lingerie look, I was going to do so old school style and be a bunny. With ears and whiskers from Cobrahive that I really think are just too adorable.
Izzie’s again for some bargains, the lace tops are a steal and everything from there can be found on Xstreet if you aren’t in the mood to tp. Well worth a visit to the store though. These tops come in lots of colours and in two different options, I am wearing them with the tube skirts from Goth1c0 which are slung to the side and lowrise. Again a bit weepy that the top and skirts don’t give all layers options, but that I guess is just us getting used to that becoming the norm lately.
Taking more time to spin the UnBra skin Mayara around, the skin comes with four cleavage options and such dramatic make ups. There are pics included that let you know the rgb values of the skins so that you can tint shoes or gloves for nails with ease. Make sure you DemoDemoDemo.
**As I say to many when we have this debate though. You should never want someone to put your items aside to wear something else, just because you didn’t provide all layers.
It sucks to have to make them, and it is a lot of work – believe me I have done my fair share of making thousands of layers options over the years -Â but in the long run customers appreciate it, and people will wear them more often. There are items that I always go to as back up, knowing that what I want to finish a look will be there on all pieces I may need, and I am sure I am not the only one.
EDIT and IMPORTANT Fabulousness : Since this post went to print (lol) Izzie of Izzie’s has redone the Frill Set to now include the seperate layers and ALL layers, so that you can mix and match to your hearts content, HOW AWESOME IS THAT ! especially since the post only published a few hours ago… Izzie Button you get todays AWESOME DESIGNER Award – which is invisible but still heartfelt.

Beach Baby
I had fun playing around with my backdrop idea today, the one thing that drives me a bit nuts about blogging is how to present my pics, seriously I get all stressed and then end up doing them the same way because it feels safer. Hopefully you are paying way too much attention to the items worn to really care that much about the rest :).
The first dress is OMG Fun, not only do I love the style of the dress, and its concept as a beach throw style, but the vintage prints just make it that much better, going back to being a kid and spending most of my time in the water, and it having been the 70’s I know that I and all my friends had these kinds of dresses to muck about in.
The Ferine outfits in the second pic are animal print heaven. If you build it they will come, I know that animal print fans are just like purple fans, if you put it there they will run to it. Whimsy is like that with animal print, which is probably what makes me appreciate it more. The options for this set are great, taking it down a notch and back up again. Animal print is not for the shy, but if you want to bust out of that shyness it would be an interesting way to go.
Wrapping it all up with a swoosh and a swish in the true frockyness of the TeaTime dress by Exodi. Delicately edged and so pretty, it is the perfect weekender, and for me it is about to be Sunday, so it would be perfect if it wasn’t pouring rain here. I love the almost spanish looking romance hair by Magika that I wore with these dresses, with the hair roses perfectly matching the colours of the dress I am set, but I would easily see wearing a large brimmed sun hat too. Maybe next time. The shoes I am wearing are oldies but goodies and they had the perfect colour companions to the dresses, the shoes are from Insolence, and are so lovely to wear with this style look.

HAPPY AUSSIE TIME BIRTHDAY SOFIA GRAY!
Ok so the big news for today would have to be that Emerald has finally done the alpha and tattoo layers. But way cooler is that they tell you in chat the music playing on the stream at the sim you are at…yay for me actually knowing who is playing what now – I have always been so musically blase, I am excited now.
Tuli is about to release the NEW Jade skin, a rework of previous skins with the benefit of three eyebrow colours and three breast shading options. The make ups are as usual suitable for all day and night activities, with some really fun ones for good measure.
Wanting to show the tones, I chose to use the newish Ring pose set from aDORKable, how awesome is that, it has the exact number of poses I needed too. It reminds me so much if vintage christmas cards or calendars, that I had to go ruffle bottom swimsuit with it, sporting the fab one piece by Surf Co. In that and the next pic I am wearing NEW Hair by HCT, I love these two new styles, Boo does fabulous overteased do’s her older Amy inspired style is still a solid favourite, so if these looks are your usual cup of cocoa make sure you spin by for the demos.
Stellar has released a wrap dress that has a definite dinner party or cocktail hour look going on, with a sculpted skirt and sash this is an easy choice for evening wear. Because the skirt is sculpted it would not be a swishy dancing dress, but it is short enough in length to still move enough with the body. For parties and what not it is fabulous, and I really like the colour choices Lexi went with, there are four to choose from.
I am wearing the gorgeous NEW Jewelry by Essentia, the Montana Feather set is all prims, and incredible work, the way the prims are manipulated to make such incredibly delicate feather pieces is a skill and a half, no alpha tricks etc. It has that perfect blend of Turquoise, Feathers and Leather that I love.
Have you all been to FAKE lately? If not then you need to go, and check out all the great creations by Dream, not only are the FAKE items just fantastic fun and really great to wear, but if you walk up the hill you will find the other store Fantasia and want to buy everything up there too.
The Snoody top is so pretty with its pearl and bow detailing along the neckline, fun to wear with a mini and boots as I have, or pants. This and the next pic are showing the New Lamb hairs, Lost and Found *snickers* I am so glad to see Lamb has gone back to styles like this, as her ponytails are always superb.
For the nautical lovers out there, 5th & Oxford have just released their Seaside collection, the system skirt lovers will be joyful, I have always been a huge fan of the red, white and blue sailor look, and the highwaisted skirts and shorts (not shown) with striped halters in this collection just make all that possible.
Lastly I have on an older set by Twisted and Spoiled which is one of those fabulous all in one stores. They do hair as well as clothing, and nearly all the clothing comes with accessories and often also shoes, as is the case in this combo. How cute are those pants, I always had a thing for cargo pants and suspenders as a teen, I never actually got my perfect pair, but these would be close for sure.
Loving the New styles from Exile, this hair is just so fun, the bangs and messy effect of the high side pony are all win…MORE MORE MORE please Mr Kavar.

Today is International Lens Flare Day, apparently somewhere in Canada they celebrate this day by lighting sparklers to show their appreciation for this wonderful photo tool.
If you believed that, then I have a bridge you may be interested in purchasing :P. Actually I was just playing on the first pic, and while in voice with Whimsy we made up today’s so called holiday…you never know though, somewhere it could be true.
The other day LeLutka did their first Summer release, there are still more to come as I mentioned previously. Some of the items shown today are already out, and some are due for release…some aren’t even LeLutka at all. First off we have the beautiful cocktail dresses. Pictures one and two both have such beautiful style about them. The colours available are strong but soft all at the same time. The oversized bow is fabulous, because not only is it wonderful sculptie work, but of course in RL that is exactly how that kind of style would come off.
Anything that looks like that, always makes me think the designer had naked in mind, a quick tug and lots of fabric folds on the floor. The second dress is just beautiful with its gem encrusted neckpiece, that is part of the breast piece that has that authentic away from body look. I am really impressed with the use of shadows on this collection, giving them a definite realism. Not only is the animal print on the bottom of these dresses rawr worthy, but the scalloped edging is so soft and fluttery, a definite crowd pleaser on the dance floor.
I added a mini top hat from Canimal, that with the animal print and skull heads, had a real lion tamer quality going on, so much fun for a party. The hair I am wearing in pic two is a new release from Anaphora, a reworking of an older style, adding not only fabulous new textures but the benefit of extra length.
The next pic is my love of all thinks folksy, the shirt is going to be forever known as my turkey shirt, and the pants are just awesome. You cannot really tell with the top on, but they have a crossed over bib front look that is just marvelous. I could wear this look all weekend and shop until I drop, that is drop off one pile of bags and pick up more of course.
The hair is also new from W & Y , and so gorgeous, the Jewelry headpiece comes in a huge range of gem choices, and seriously I had no idea they had options, it was love at first sight anyway. This whole summer collection reminds me of markets, the casual clothing especially, as it has a real handmade quality, and my turkey shirt I know would be so soft and yummy.
Haha this next look is my beatbox look, I was all ready to twirl on my cardboard box in this look, but I might hurt myself. This might not be your usual rapper look, but for me it has that running home from a dance studio thing going on, and those pants, OMG TO DIE FOR. They are thick and wool and so perfect, the colours, the wide leggedness, they are vintage all the way. I am surprised they are a summer release but THANK YOU for making them.
One of the most noticeable things about the pants are that they are sculpted as much up top as the bottom, and the attention to detail makes them just beautiful. Two more great hairs from W & Y but these are not new, so they are on the back area on the right, and perfect hat hairs, with so many options.
These next pants are also a pleasure to wear, and when Thora declared she had just made the most awesome pants, she wasn’t exaggerating. These are SCHWING! The fabric is divine, the prints are amazing, and the overall feminine quality of them, leading back to many decades ago, is just perfect. I mixed them with the recent one piece swimsuits from Surf Co. that actually look fab as a top. But not only that, because slipping out of the pants and into the pool or ocean is a given, as they are resort wear plus.

I had some of those, all things coming together kind of days yesterday and today.You know the ones, where everything you are doing just works, and things that get added to the mix just slot in perfectly.
SLink released the boot version of the Mikaela, and I had way too much fun with them…I also have been informed that in a few weeks there will be updates to the shoes version, so stay tuned for that. The fun thing is that while they look great with the skin, so that it is like strips of leather, crafted into these fab boots, if you use the stocking option and darken a lot in whatever colour you like, you can create a two tone boot effect.
The first look was so much fun, I took a dress from So many styles, added the belt from Fri.day just to add some black, but also just because I liked the effect – I did have to change the attachment point to the skirt for this to work though. The new Amacci hair was perfect for my Princess Angel Fashionista look lol, I really like the loose long wavey style to this hair, and Amacci’s new textures are fab.
The rest of the clothing is mainly from Goth1c0 which is a store I have loved for years now, it all started with Meko actually, he had an outfit from there way back in 07 that he wore all the time. Keishii goes quiet for some time and then comes back strong, and lately the designs coming from him are just YUM with the sexyness.
First off the corset sets, which worked perfectly with my Devil contrast lol, who knew I had latex horns in my inventory. Because the corsetry is on all layers you can totally wear some cute shorts or a skirt underneath for a layered wearable look. The next oufit is a mix of Goth1c0 and Sn@tch, the new finance blouse was perfect to wear over the bra top of the Sticky and Sweet set, how hot is that girdle skirt with proper panels and sheerness, you could even wear a longer top under it for a more all in one look. This would be my come hither student teacher look lol, the glasses and the New hair from Exile totally work that.
Lastly we have Milicia, a stunning military inspired dress, a little revealing up top, but if you wear a higher bra maybe, or if you don’t care then WOOOT. It even has a more than more revealing option too. I knew before I even logged on what hair I would wear with it, as they are a perfect match to eachother.
I am wearing the recent LOLA skin release by LeLutka, the make up options are huge, and the skin is just so delicate and pretty, with the first part of the Summer Collection JUST RELEASED! I am excited to see what outfits people will be sporting. The summer collection will come out in three parts, so mark your calenders 27th and 2nd will be the next two releases.
