Tiana Tude
We were discussing E-Cigs tonight, it has been over a year since I mentioned them to Ashia and forced a kit down Whimsy’s throat. They are an incredible tool if you can’t just quit, I just quit two years ago next month, but I can imagine that if I had known about these then I would have become a vaper for sure, If you are wondering about them, and not sure where to start, this kit is recommended and looks good too 🙂 HERE.
Skin Fair starts tomorrow, less than 24 hours away, and Tiana is going to make her debut…
Tiana is the last Aere line skin from LeLutka, and the last of the three sister skins, first was Kit then Gem and now Tiana. Tiana is the rebel in the family, the kind of girl that doesn’t ever do the walk of shame, who spends that extra time in bed without a snooze button because nothing happens until she gets there anyway.
She is petulant and pouty and for reasons unknown always manages to get a cab, and never waits in line anywhere. I could go on and on, honestly the moment I saw Tiana I had this whole story line for her in my head, she is a total character, and she is awesome, a really perfect finale to the Aere line of skins.
I decided of course to rock it out with her look, union jack tank from Muism with my favourite cut off jean shorts from Tres Blah. I was all about the Dandy cowboy boots today too, kind of take charge reversal of ‘who’s bed have your boots been under’.
Whimsy had tp’d over to Ameries Naughty tonight and I tp’d after her, seeing these manties and bra I was instantly ‘Yeah Tiana would wear that ” and off I went back to take the body pics lol, in my cowboy boots still of course.
The Tiana pack that is going to release at Skin Fair, is one of the few that will be released over all a sneak pack if you will. Four make ups and a base in the pack, with all the usual fabulous extras, lashes, cleavage, hair bases, brow options in dark and light and eyebags. The other Aere skins are also at the fair and it opens at 3pmSLT tomorrow.

Like my new hat? isn’t it cute, in a deathly morbid way,but what else would you wear with a skin tone called ‘Dead”. I am chuffed too with the matching of feet to skin, yay for the Maitreya Gold HUD being so easy peasy. These are the skins about to be released at Red Mints booth at Skin Fair, they are the Frost series and the fantasy aspect is wonderful. I do also like that there is a more subtle version, as well as add on make ups you can get seperately.
Perfect hair for this style hat is the Roxy from Exile, with its brushed to the side look, I had the perfect platform for the hat, without having to do any editing at all – other than actually swapping the hats side, as it originally was on the other, but yay for copy paste.
The dress I am wearing is the new by 24 hours Annie dress, and it is sleek and chic. Definitely perfect for a femme fatale, and so able to add too with accessories and what not, but I left it all about the hat and shoes, and skin, and hair and….

Zoe and the Collective Conscious

Whimsy and I talk about Collective Conscious all the time, the fact that SL residents are such a wading pool of ideas and creative streaming…it is no wonder there is often an overlap.
Today I was taking all my pics of skins as the upcoming Vanity Universe annual skin fair is just around the corner, and I realised that I needed to locate the banners. Of course my note cards wouldn’t open so I went in search on Nadja Baxters flickr, and lo and behold there she was in her most recent post wearing the same lingerie I just shot for mine lol…funny part of this though is that it is not a new release, and I had been so behind in my posting that I hadn’t blogged it yet, so I actually did go in search of it in my inventory.
I personally never think it is an issue like some, one of my all round pet peeves is when I see a blogger say that an item has already been seen so they didn’t blog it, or something so crazy as that. Nadja has her readers, I have mine, regardless of feeds and what not, you should never deprive the designer of your take on an item, or the readers for that matter. I can see an item ten times and it can be the 11th that makes me go OMG wants. Feeds were and are only supposed to be tools to make it easier to navigate to the main source of a post, that is one of the main reasons I do a teaser up front, that and the fact that I think the less you put on a feed the lighter the load and memory needed for the feeds to function.
So back to the task at hand, the skin fair starts on Sunday at 3pm, that I am guessing is due to the time difference for Nadja and all of the other people responsible for the fair. It is nice to start later in the day though, it gives everyone that chance to build up momentum. You are going to need it too, there are so many incredible stores this year, and the sim is layed out in a three building stack, which hasn’t really varied from last years, so it will be easy for many to navigate.
One of the many stores about to take part is Tuli, and the breathtaking new release of Zoe will be at the fair, and for all you Tuli fans and future lovers, the skin is superb. There are so many options and variations in the skins packs, you have a bazillion eyebrow colours, and I might be exaggerating but she has gone so far as to include bleached and copper as options.
Zoe has an amazing face and body as usual, and there are other options created on the tattoo layers to enhance your overall look. Freckles, Cleavage, Lashes , Brows , and lipsticks, eyebrow shape and the actual shape that Tuli wears for the ad for the skins promotion, which is copy/mod so you can make changes as you need. This is a lot to play around with, and if you recieved her latest group gift of teeth and beauty spots and so on those can only make it all that more fun…apparently the teeth are still in the store for free.
In all the pics I am wearing Novel, a new style by Elikatira, so pretty are these victory curls that it is vintage love but in such a way as to have a modern twist. It has that half up and then lightly pulled back out of the face look Elika is so good at, make for easy showing of great make ups.
The chair and table I am showing in the pic are from the Chic Limited event Anti Valentine by Cheeky Pea, so comfy with a huge choice of poses. Cheeky Pea is not only named awesome but a great store to explore. But for these you will have to go to Chic Limiteds skybox.

One of the best things about sales or discounted areas is the chance to pick up accessories you may not consider usually…
Such is the case with COCO’s outlet room upstairs of their mainstore, not an accessory on its own, but an actual piece of a combo that was a MUST HAVE for me. The tie scarf thing I have on is a divine piece and was actually part of a shirt package, but at the discount price you feel like your only paying for the tie and the shirt is a bonus, or vice versa, I grabbed two different coloured ones, but I may just have to go back for more, they are too yum.
Also picked up at the outlet are the gorgeous pinstripe pants, I never saw these when they were out normal like, or I would have bought them then, I am a pinstripe fan forever. They do come with a white belt and all that jazz but they are really easy to mod, but you can of course wear without.
Whimsy came up with an awesome Corporate Bloggers Challenge the other day, of course it was already after I did a post exclaiming how my outfit was great for work, the meany wont let me add those pics either lol. Kidding aside I did intend to go there with this post, but I ended up a bit more PR girl on the go, or whatever more laid back professional girl on the go can look like. Good timing is the new Zoe cropped jacket from Ingenue, layered over the RB Tank from Maitreya and I was good to go.
I am still wearing the Allure with socks, I did take them off but they work so well with the look they went right back on again. The other new hair from Maitreya is Lotte a gorgeous low slung ponytail with a side part. It is beautiful. Speaking of perfect timing, the new Gracie panties just came out for FLF today at Whippet & Buck – more with bras to come in future weeks – which gave me the chance to show off the new PXL skin Linda G3…this skin is not only wonderful looking, but has so many options. Hairbases, freckles, cleavage, lipsticks and eyemake up tattoos, as well as dark and light brows, I am not sure if I am forgetting anything, but you will see them all when you DEMO DEMO DEMO and do not forget the upcoming Vanity Skin Fair that starts this sunday PXL has a booth there, so you can see what is new and current on location as well.

Wool skirt and no jacket
Reason 465647 to love sculpties would have to be the midlength skirt….
I love mid length skirts, and some make fantastic ones with prims and flexi alone, don’t get me wrong, some of my all time favourites are made that way…but it is really nice to be able to not flexify and have prims doing things other than just staying still. Mind you you do need a very calm AO for this kind of skirt, nothing too bendy at the waist and sticking your bum out, I save those AO’s for other looks, but I love the ensembles I have created today, with these wonderful woolskirts from Riddle.
Not only are they wonderful as sculpts, but with the glitch pants being made the way glitch pants should be, even if you have a leg peeking out etc, it all still looks good. Another gorgeous item from Riddle is the Cable Knit Cutie sweater on the right. The sweater comes with two sleeve lengths, I opted for the shorter version and layered another sweater from Fri.day underneath, with extra long armlenths it is a nice cozy look for the still chilly days.
Boots recently released by addictia are the Adnata boots, these are so cute, not only do they have detailing and cute oversized buckles, but they also have matching leather wrist cuffs that are so cool, totally working my biker chic. Then of course I had to wear my Allure with socks today, I love these shoes with socks, but I also love with without, but sometimes you just want that extra ” I am fashion ” feel going on.
New Hair New Hair New Hairrrrr, Maitreya today released New Hair, and the Nadja style is one of three new styles, the fourth being the gift item of a few months ago that everyone is still asking for, so was finally released for sale. Nadja is just divine, its long, its wavey and if you know Maitreya hair like I know Maitreya hair, then you will notice new texture types not colours, adding a little bit more wave to the styles.
The other day I was fortunate to stumble across Pink Fuels SALE on the Ember skins, not sure if it is still on, but if it is you best be getting over there to buy it all up. The singles are a steal at 150 the mini packs even more so at 300 and then the mega is 800L. It is very youthful in the face and I would think could look great on some of the back to school avs I have been seeing around a lot lately, you know the little ones that are really big ones in disguise lol.

Professional Gem
I am loving all the new viewers lately, but am having troubles unrezzing and rerezzing over and over again, seriously it took me all day to get these pics, but totally worth it. I wish I knew that it was definitely SL being laggy or that it was the viewer, or what, because it makes it rather difficult to fix if you don’t understand the issue. Mind you some pics I took 7 times due to the distraction of Celebrity and Whimsy in conference, those two are nuts, but I love spending time with other bloggers while working, you talk, you take pics, you unpack bags, or just sit in silence but know you can just shout out or start muttering about whatever when you want, it is really nice :).
The first dress I am wearing is so classy, reminds me of when I used to work, in the sense that it has a very professional look about it, and can be worn very simply or add accessories for a more put together look. Me myself would have to add a safetypin just under the zipper pull on the inside of the dress, because way back in the 80’s I had a dress with a front zip and let’s not go there with that story.
The long pulled back ponytail is another win from Raw House, the tail is extra long but not so full as to be messy. A sophisticated tail for people to wear working. The pigtails however are fun fun fun, so fun in fact that this version have the texture change option on the front side tendrils, and I had a lot of fun mirroring myself with them. You will also notice my beautiful silver jewelry from MOOD, they have such a great arrangement of items, and this set is one of those ones that you can wear casual or dressy, because it just has that oversized silver chunka chunk fabulousness to it.
Kicking it military style with the top and pants from L’Abel as well, the look is fun but still can be work wear if you were to add a layer underneath, to cover up that expanse of tummy. Lassitude and Ennui are responsible for the boots and they are divine, I can see these being the crossover boots that go from RP to mainstream fashion with ease…Lassitude has always been that way though, and I for one am glad to see they seem to be releasing more regularly of late.
LeLutka just this past day or so released the Gem skin, a more mature older sister if you will to Kit. The release is sold differently than in the past, and for those on a budget, you will love. The skin itself is done in two different packs, a base skin with four other made up skins – as well as curl lashes, cleavage, hair base and brows in dark and blonde and eye bags. Then you have the option of enhancing them with seperate purchases of lipsticks, liners and lashes. The liners I have only shown one of in the lipsticks pic which is the bottom one, and only showing half the lipsticks.
WIth there being 12 in the pack though adding that to your base skins and four made up looks in one pack, you end up with a further 60 looks from the one pack. The liners come in four colours and each of the Feather Lashes and Facial Gems are texture change, so again more and more and more looks. With the right kind of viewer you can even add attachments not just more tattoo layers, so you can combine gems and feathers and regular sculpted lashes, as done in the main pics and such an awesome look. So DEMO DEMO DEMO Gem and you just have to partake in some of the Gems and Feather lashes because they are so awesome and the price is crazy low.

Anti Valentine not me
Anti Valentines what a concept, I for one think the whole ‘proper’ aknowledgement of the day is really beautiful…not the hallmark moments, but the actual priest the whole thing was named after, and what he did to help others in love at risk of his own life – or so the story goes.
Regardless I have some pretties, most of which come from the Chic Limited Event starting on the 12th of Feb. The event runs for two weeks and some wonderful items are up for sale. Hucci has this 24 Karat combo, that is very showgirly and fun to wear, I added some wings and a tiara and I am off for a night of anything goes. The middle gypsy look is a mix of top from deetalez and bottom from bounce, these skirts and tops come in various colours and are just delightful to wear.
The babypink very athens like look is so adorable, but I could not wear the other attachments, one being a pulsating heart with arrow through it around the neck – way too much for my delicate flower like sensibilities. The dress goes well with the G wedge anti V shoes from Peqe, these are wicked cute, and have a great granny floral texture on them that works with the pink of the dress.
The hair I am wearing is from Raw House, a new to me brand, but in existance for the last few months. Their hair is a mix of scene and standard and so divine, especially the concave Sydney, which is funny because somehow Sydney hair always has this look, or so I have noticed over the years. This one has extra long wisps at the front and a texture change insert at the nape of the neck and one side of the front. Very cool to keep on getting different looks from the same colours.
The second hairstyle from Raw House is Adrienne, a beautiful updo style, but that is low on the neck and can be just your out and about after work look. I really love the styles I got to see at Raw House and they also have an item in the Chic Limited Event. The store also has Male hair, and I urge man and woman to take a look, and definitely follow the stylings of Jay Khaos…I got to talk to him for a bit last night and he is a straight up guy, that has a lot of passion for his store, and I look very forward to styles to come.
The undies I am wearing are from Somnia, also at Chic Limited and so adorable fun, they come in great colours and I love how they look mix and matched too, for that undecided look. Showing the new Sweetheart Skins by Gala Phoenix of Curio. This face is a softer look, but still very diverse skin than the recent Jasmine, with more make ups that are for every day wear, but not to miss out on the Valentines oppurtunity, there are a few combos you will love, the jealous green eyeshadows and the lovely blends of deep pinks and red lipsticks, it all comes out beautiful. DEMO DEMO DEMO.

East meets West
I love technology, the internet, computers etc. You know when I first bought a PC, I had no idea what to do with it, or how vast the internet was. It ended up being used for emails and playing Age of Empires and the Sims for years. Seriously my trying to use the web, failed every time, because I didn’t know what to do, or what to look for.
Now I can watch my favourite T.V shows, do a blog post, be inworld and a dozen other things all at once. All my computer knowledge comes from online, from the people I have met along the way, everything I do now has been shown to me, or motivated me to learn along the way, I think that is the best gift the internet can give us…not so much the links to sites or whatever, but the connections to people that we learn from along the way. One of the most amazing resources out there are the tutorials done by other people like you and I, everyday people wanting to share their knowledge of things. YouTube is full of them, and they amaze me sometimes, especially the Second Life ones.
So if you ever think you know how to do something that either comes up as a query often, or you just want to share how you specifically do something, I urge you to do a tutorial on it, so many bloggers myself included have done one or more in the past, and it can totally change how you look at something. So go for it :).
A few weeks ago Zaara had the Deesha Cropped shirt in FLF, and it was a huge hit, so much so that there are now other colours in the range, and so cute too. I love the whole ‘little bit country’ look of the style, mixed with a more indian textiles and traditional collar look, it is like east meets west and I am all for it.
I am wearing it a few different ways today, but however you choose it will all work. The hair I am wearing is from Elikatira, her new styles for the week and so pretty. I am all for her building on her shorter styles, she does long and medium so well, but always seems to blow me away with her shorter styles, not a fan of short hair at all in RL, it was actually styles like her older pixie – etd days – that converted me into trying shorter styles in SL and embracing them to my hair addiction long ago lol.

Model Chair
One of the most annoying things to use when blogging in my opinion is sit and laying down poses…I have probably many hundreds of them, and I don’t just have them from packs that I can use that excuse, no I actually fall in lust with them when shopping and then can’t work out a damn thing to do with them when in my own studio.
Often I hit the right mix and it works, and I of course always have them for my VR mobile HUD, but Diesel Works has made life just that little bit easier this week. With the release of his latest Model Chair, Rogan Diesel has made sitting easy, and not only has he provided beautiful sits in this easy to use chair,that you can alter your position in easily to fit, but also the chair moves to angles with some of the poses that Rogan himself thinks suits the pose.
A perfect way to show of shoes and other things, such as lingerie. The shoes need no introduction, so you can just go ooo ahhh at those, the Lingerie is new from Baiastice, and is so pretty, in a mix of styles and colour combos, some a little more revealing than others, but I am sure with the upcoming Valentines Day needs, you will find something you love.
New hair by Exile, is as usual swishy and delishy, two of the three most recent, I had to show pandora from both angles, because it is just too pretty. I am wearing also the Natasha Skin from LeLutka but with the added bonus of dimples from Launa Fauna on a tattoo layer…I can see so many more options such as these coming about from all over Second Life, 2011 is definitely the start of a brand new world.

The Body Co.
Landing at the TP point for The Body Co. you could be mistaken for having some kind of an ethereal experience. The landing point is awash with a semi glowing white, that seems to envelope you, it is really quite something to see.
The build is only a portion of what looks like something more to come, if you take notice of the sign behind you as you land. But it is definitely ahead of you that should be capturing your whole attention. The Body Co. is the next installment of business ventures by Emma Gilmour. Sage is the first skin line in The Body Co. collection, but definitely not Emma’s first skin, as she has made at least 4 others over the years, funnily enough they all have similar brows.
The older by Emma skins are hand drawn, so a lot stronger on the face in some cases, but the Sage skins have a more photorealistic look to them. The body is gorgeous Emma has gone back and forth on tweaking it to its final result, and the face has a definite natural look, and is so the surfer girl turned model that Emma is so talented at achieving.
The skin is sold as a base, and then you have the options to buy make up packs, so if you don’t have a tatoo layers viewer be very aware of your limitations here and DEMO DEMO DEMO. There are brows for all people, light, medium, red and dark as well as cleavage options that will make you blush, or torment your partner like I did as it took ages to rez for him mwahahahahaha.
Also if not a fan of complete make ups, you can also get lipglazes and eyeshadows seperate, and while there you can check out the handmade soaps that are actual recreations of a soap line that Emma makes in RL with her sister in law, yes the girl even has time for that too.
