A – Z Challenge – Y you so good looking
I have a folder in my inventory, probably everyone does, that is called STUFF! it is really actually called !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!STUFF because exclamation marks take items to the top of your inventory, so anything I want to be important has a lot of those before the name.
This will make more sense as I go on. So todays feature letter with my Reversed A – Z Challenge, is Y, and it was a no brainer that I covered Yummy and YS&YS, as both stores are worn possibly the most throughout the year by me in some way or another.
Now the items that are Y related in the Stuff folder are my rings. These delights were a gacha item by Yummy, and they became staples for a long time, that is why they were in my Stuff folder, as it is where most of my Stuff always worn resides.
I love Yummy items, especially when she gravitates towards collectible and somewhat sentimental creations…which I have blogged in the past. She also has a very real sense of humour so sometimes the items are a bit on the over the top side, but definitely worth grabbing what works for you.
The new bells necklace for C88 is so pretty , comes in gold or silver options and has a real elegant look to it with the tied off satin bow…very festive. Loving the yellow in my rings, I added some statement earrings as well from an older release, and I am loving the whole look.
YS&YS have always been a favourite skin creator, but since making appliers we have all just been so lucky to have such an incredibly wide range of beautiful options. They make such lovely skins and make up options, that they do on the heads I wear, Slink Visage and LeLutka, as well as others…so you need to give them a whirl.
They also have a collection of décor and accessories to tantalise you, so a fun location to check out in your skin perusing travels.
Hairology has just started again for its second month, and going great guns. This style is by Vanity Hair, and you can get it and all of the other great styles at the Hairology event for the rest of the month. This style is so glamorous if you want it to be, but also lends itself to being very easy to wear…more please Tabata 🙂

A – Z Challenge 2015 – ZZzzzzz
A lot of years ago I did the A-Z challenge that Willow Zander ran. A bloggers challenge, but not limited to only bloggers, everyone was invited to have a whirl at it. She has brought it back, and it has been four years since I last did it, and oh my goodness I tracked down the pics from the last time, and I barely recognised myself. I remember making up one look specifically but some of the others I didn’t even know they were me.
Now it seems I got as far as “I” last time, time constraints and all that, and Whimsy and I have often talked about it, picking it back up and so on. Today I decided to be naughty and start at the end, because well I am a big believer in bloggers fate, and Zaara has released another wonderful item for Collabor88, so it just seemed to be saying ME ME ME choose ME.
I am loosely following the rules though, because while in the past every item was of the letter, I really want to make it more about the Store name if possible so chose two Z’s to feature. The rest of the items are from those other letters :).
This is not Zaara’s first foray into scarves, and while the last that I remember were gorgeous sculpts versions, these mesh ones just blow those away. I hope she goes all out with more options for her store in the coming months, as the weather is definitely permitting for it. You get rigged tight and rigged for over clothing options as well as an unrigged version, so you are definitely covered shape and gender wise.
Using the other clothes option, I went with another recent release of Zaara’s that is this lovely tunic shirt dress she released a few weeks ago. It was made as a Maitreya sizing, but fits Slink body really well with the help of some alpha cuts using the body hud. You can purchase solid or floral print options, and there are sheer versions as well. Definitely something easy to wear and a great go to item for a quick dress and dash look, that with the help of some great leggings and so on, will look great.
While on the leggings stockings kind of bandwagon though, I am putting it out there that Zaara turns her much older leggings collection into appliers for mesh bodies, because those were gorgeous, and we need that kind of staple in our wardrobes – just saying.
I actually went with some zebra stockings this time though, because well Z and all that.
The other Z feature is Zerkalo, I have a few bits and pieces from gachas from them over the past year, but these items are also C88 pieces. The cute side-table, the champagne bucket and glasses, and the trees that I shrunk down and made table décor instead….love modify décor, you can have such fun with it. The pieces bring that holiday vibe into the home.
Carrying on with the black and red I grabbed this great tartan chair, could not resist the cookies, and the horse toy is a divine nod to hand-crafted toys of old.
Rounding out the red, with these gorgeous new boots, that fit like a dream and were the perfect cherry red to compliment my whole ensemble. I feel very festive indeed.
Now you can all see me do Z and think, we better catch up, Sasy is already at the end….maybe we will meet in the middle

A Hazy Shade of Winter
Whimsy told me my tummy will get frostbite, but seeing as its a thousand degrees HOT down here, I am not too worried. Mixing the charming oversized wrap coat from Emery, with the fantastic boots by Pure Poison for the bases of this look.
The boots with all their parts texture change with the fantastic hud when using the fatpack, made it possible to colour co-ordinate them together perfectly. Then with the addition of the RGB hud to the SLink bodies..I was able to select the layer my leggings are on and tint them the little extra they needed to be a proper grey for the pic. Just don’t forget to take the tint off, or you will end up thinking things are broken in the future.
This ready for the day look is great. everything about it makes it easy on the eye and easy to take into any setting, that is what you want from your wardrobe.
Loving this long long hair by Exile, it is so wonderful how it cascades down the back. It has that smooshy rub rub flick thing going on at the front too (girls know what I mean) to get it out of the face.
You still have time to visit Collabor88 before the round ends, so make sure you grab all the goodies.

Who’s There
Everything old is new to someone, has always been my motto with blogging. With the amount of events and the constant stream of newness every day now, I had let my mixing and matching old with new down a little.
This used to be one of my favourite things to do, combine older gown skirts with newer uppers…and it felt like a lost art with the bringing about of mesh and then mesh bodyparts. I was inspired though with the NEW confetti bodysuit by Luxuria…this was a My Attic release just gone, so if you got it there then yay, otherwise you will need to go to the store to grab yours. It has such an elegant look to it, and I knew that if I found the right lower part, it would be all win.
I went back to 2010, not only back five years, but back to an old Gift item from LeLutka made of SCULPTS!. This is the one thing since mesh that I am surprised we do not see more of, big over the top creations like this gown was. I love how this looks with the bodysuit from Luxuria, and I am sorry if you are too young to have this gift, or you have cleaned out your inventory from long ago, but it shows that some things need keeping.
But this is more of an inspiring post, urging you to get your own formal occasion look, that means you can be the belle of the ball, and have no one have what you have, because in a way you made it yourself.
The perfect backdrop for this look was with the Anc staircase from The Arcade, that is just divine looking, and well worth the effort of playing for it.

Lady Luck
My Attic closes this round at midnight tonight. It will be the last for the year, but back in 2016.
This pant-suit is the perfect look for a party atmosphere. It is by Lavian, and has an incredible hud giving you a zillion options for mixing colours of the top and bottom and then also the belt. This colour combination had me feeling very Indian inspired, and as that was always the idea behind the dividers for the shaken set we made a while ago, I incorporated them together with the great string lights by Chic buildings. The poses and champagne glass are also part of Chic’s release at My Attic this round, and so delightful to have an entertaining set to pull out for special occasions.
The hair is by Emo-tions, also at My Attic, and with the pearl embellishments on the silk scarf bringing the style together, I am ready for a great festive season.

Bun Bun
While I sit here overheating, it is actually more fun in the past few years to dress up all snugly and warm for the wrong season. I guess it is something to do with mesh, the accessories, the decorations, it all seems shinier and newer somehow…even though already in the 4th year (time flies) mesh still seems a marvel to me every day.
Being able to have such a stunning build as the one I am inside, the furniture rezzed in such a perfect fit to the room and yet still having enough prims to do even more. Whimsy also gets to just create the most insane mixing of items in a small space, she gets to release all that pent up decorating power she had hidden away since before it came about. I love that, and not just her, the landscaping and decorating people do in SL in their stores, on their land, everything has just levelled up in the most delightful of ways.
I got to mix together some beautiful mesh pieces for clothing today, and went with a brown and black look. Not only was that a spot on choice, but everything I knew I wanted to wear, ended up having the most perfect matching colour options.
The skirt has a great hud with lots of options and one of the belt combos is spot on. The scarf is divine and the hud for that, same perfect brown option. Adding the strap boots by Ison with the hair from EnVogue and I was ready for my winter wonderland to occur…and do absolutely nothing for the rest of the night but laze away on my Cheeky pea sofa. I get to again love a great turtleneck this post, this time in mesh and made to fit my body, yay Cynful, you rock!

Fur later on
Digging this fur vest so much and totally squealed with delight at finding out that even though it comes with a dress, it is also a separate object. Mixing together a look like this because the designer has given you the option of pieces to wear in mix and matching stylish way, is what it is all about. I get so excited when I see ensembles in stores, because I instantly dissect them in my head into ways to wear them with other things.
Unfortunately a lot of the time, to save on higher mesh load, creators opt to combine them as a one piece wearable. This is fine of course, as I said it does help with mesh loading, and also those that just want to attach and fly out the door…but being able to create a look from pieces especially that had one look when released, into another completely different matching, is so much fun, and one of my favourite things to do.
So a little please to all designers that do combine, consider giving us pieces as well…maybe not all , as I know that would also involve building more of the item, but step back a bit from a look and imagine how cool your top or pants or shirts or jacket, would look with something older you created, or something you love from another store yourself…think of how a person could take that item and turn it into so many looks that it becomes their go to item. Making an all in one ensemble kind of has less chance of repeated wear, thus not being seen by as many people who may see it with jeans on someone and know it would look great with their skirt :).
While I am asking, I need more appliers options like these please…the midriff option of this turtleneck is wonderful for sure, but also full length would be nice. Appliers clothing such as this, with the conservative look of real basics, help a lot with layering styles together.
The vest and turtleneck look fabulous with the new biker jeans by Maitreya that come in Lara and standard sizing fits. The zippers look is great and if you get the fatpack you get a nifty texture change hud, so you lessen your inventory load. Maitreya has always done marvelous denim work, and these will be a firm favourite for sure.

Lounging the day away in my underwear, life is good. This is the Lacuna release at this round of My Attic, and it is some very sexy lingerie. You get different lower options, with and without the suspenders and with and without the panties…very naughty, and very appealing.

Dazzle Me
I am finding it hard to type right now, my face is saturated with tears, do not worry though, it is not that anything is wrong, it is just that I opened a link to Facebook and five or six scrolls later, I had been overwhelmed by three different emotion packed videos.
Social Media really is an incredible platform in many ways, getting the word out in ways that otherwise may pass others by. I tend to not get much time to use mine, I have many accounts with various places, but it is just as most people do, I see a link to a new one, I run with the masses, I make the account, and then I never look at it again.
We have our preferences, and that is cool too. I tend to get meh about them at the same time though, I see them hurt people, and I for some reason come across ones that take pot shots at people for no apparent reason. Actually by people I mean products more often than not, everyone is having a fun old time enjoying something, sharing pics and so on, and then someone comes along and does the whole ‘ I know everyone will hate me, but I just do not like __________” and other various mixes of the same kind of posting.
It is like going to a kids party as an adult and while everyone is having a great time celebrating the birth of a child, laughing at kids running around chasing a clown, or stealing all the fairy bread off the plates while the kids are not looking, someone rolls their eyes to the heavens and says ‘ I don’t like kids, they don’t do anything for me”.
If something is not to your taste, or your style, just enjoy others enjoying it, because more often than not, it is your own friends that are falling in love with themselves and the item on your timeline. Those hate-bombs incite buyers remorse in the worst of ways, you are essentially not only damaging a business – because your one hate-bomb could stop someone that looks up to you for advice, considers you stylish and in the know, or just sees you as someone that would know if something was good or not (this is tripled if you are a blogger or a designer) – but also damages the person behind the creation…while 500 comments may declare love, your declaration of hate rips straight through them, and unfortunately can pile on creators over time.
I have been watching peoples hate bombs for a while now, and when you piece them together, you often see more said on the same subject in other postings, and when you mix them into context, it is usually MONEY. It is not that they hate them, dislike them or even aren’t that into them…it is that they are on a budget and because it is easier to say ‘ Oh I don’t like it’ than to say ‘ I cannot budget for it today’.
By making this declarative statements of dislike, they are off the hook. Their posse is not going to expect to see the latest and greatest on them, because they dislike it so much, it is the perfect “Keeping up with the Jones’s” neutraliser.
Friend 1 “Why is _________ not wearing _________ like all of us?”
Friend 2 ” Oh she HAAAAAAAAATES them”
Friend 1 ‘ oh ok” ( *thinks* why does she hate them, should I hate them too, do I look stupid, is there something I do not know…maybe I should not wear it any-more, maybe I made a mistake…Gosh I really loved it too *packs it back into inventory* )
See how easy that is, works a treat. No one has expectations of you that way, just go around hating everything that comes out, publicly and as much as possible, and you can even get away with never logging in to SL at all and still being current.
That is the beauty of Second Life, you very rarely ever have to buy something today, it will be there next month, next year, and next time you have the funds…if you haven’t moved on to your next favourite thing. The other beauty of Second Life, is that you don’t have to buy anything at all. There are so many incredible gifts, goody bags, group joining, Midnight Mania, Lucky Chair items out there, that just with some time, you can collect a great mix of items.
Put those items together and make the you you want to be, and friends that you have, real friends wont judge you on not having everything if they know your circumstances, and may even shout you to a thing or two, because my other favourite thing about SL , is that for the price of a soda in RL you can make someones day.
Even if it is not about budget, if it is that you don’t like it, it is not important that that goes out into the universe, look at your audience. Pay attention to the joy the item is bringing to people that you like, that you know, and that you may care about a lot. Remember that they have also just purchased it, want to love it, are loving it, and what you think is being cool by going against the pack, just makes for hurt.
If you are asked to share your opinion on something, again gauge what the person is really asking you…are they asking you to talk them out of it, or are they asking you to back them up in their want for it. That being said though, there are going to be times ONE ON ONE in private in IM or on Skype – or at an actual store in RL, because people do that apparently – that you will need to go NO to a friend that is about to buy a crazy thing lol, I am not ever going to say don’t stop a friend from looking insane, just don’t steam-roll over hundreds of peoples happy places.
I once had a customer in RL come out of the change-room in a dress that she wanted for New Years, its metallic look and her colouring did not go well together, but she beamed so much looking at herself in the mirror, she was practically hovering off the ground. Her enthusiasm, her everything in regards to this dress was an amazing thing to see, and the one and only time ever in the history of my world have I not made a suggestion of something else, when I thought something was not exactly as it should be. While the combination would not normally be a pairing, she shone brighter than that dress ever could, and 18 years later I still remember that day, that customer and that dress, and the day I knew when to shut my mouth (such a rare day, it is a national holiday in Australia …..j/k) I even reduced the price of the dress (my store my rules) because no matter what, I wanted her to be that happy for as long as she got the chance to be, it was one of my most memorable silly seasons ever.
Oh and while I have your attention – if you got this far I love you lots – if something is not right with something you do buy, or are trying…ask the creator – or their customer support – if there is an issue, help them out by letting them know. Telling 500 people that something is broken but never letting the people that can fix it know, is more damaging, and I have seen that occur often too.
The dress I am wearing today made me think of all that, because it is the exact same metallic colouring, and sparkled the same. It is by Mimikri at this round of My Attic and it is a stunning strapless mini, that you could definitely also wear with leggings for a different look. I paired it up with the great neck corset bolero styled piece that is part of an ensemble by Even Flow that is also at My Attic.
The shoes were instant love, the gladiator ankle boot style of these with the wedge heel are glorious and they come in snakeskin leather in a great range of colours. They are called Ciao and are by Bushu.
The whole look gets held together by this gorgeous face applier skin by YS&YS that is also a My Attic item, you get this version and a freckled version and the make up is perfect for ‘It’s My Party” which is the theme of this round.
Always when I think I am going to type a handful of words, I end up typing half a novel…obviously tears subsided and I somehow managed to get my rant on.

Marketplace Gifting Tutorial – the right and wrong way !
I have experienced people having issues with gifting on marketplace. Items have been selected, name inserted , a fancy message and then after paying it goes to their own inventory. It took a lot of back and forth with a few different people to work out why this was occurring. I found the answer and I hope this badly edited video helps you 🙂
