Strapped
It’s raining, it’s pouring, New Poses coming sooooon la la la la la laaaaaaa. As much as it is easier to do full sets, you know straight out of the folder, wear. There has to be separates, you know the pieces that become such staples in your inventory, that you really can’t imagine living without them.
A lot of the LeLutka release past and present is like that, I can’t imagine life without my Olympia pants from the spring collection, I am thinking that for many, the Nakita Jackets are going to be like that too. The Jacket is wonderful for casual or dressy, and over something or solo as shown.
One thing that I will have to mention, is that I did have to mod the lower sleeves, Thora has a very unique shape, and as much as I didn’t have to mod anything else really size wise, arms in anything with sleeves and cuffs I have had to. I actually like the puffy look that I ended up with, whether it is supposed to be that much, or not, I am keeping it that way, it gives more reality to the satin style texture.
Also a separate the Margoux pants, pantaloons at their finest these are fabulous. The Nakita jackets also have a stripe down the back, so I was able to match up the gold pants to that in the blue jacket. A lot of this collection is colour compatible, so that is tres handy.
The layered tier look of the Paras dress, has a flapper like visual, but as it is sculpted no real movement , but definitely creates a lovely silhouette. The contrast colours are very well done also, and the length and fit was a breeze.
The strapped up and ready for action QI dress is a little naughty first impressions wise, there are prims at the top portion of the dress, needing more attachment points, but even without as worn in green, the dress style still works well, allowing you to still wear jewelry.

Funk On
I think all three looks today are more about dressing for yourself, rather than for the company you are keeping. Often we tend to wonder what will appeal to the partners we have, or the friends we socialise with, sometimes you just have to get your own funk on.
All about tude and these three dresses have lots of that, while still keeping true to the girly girl. It started being about the skins, then the clothes and then not so surprising the hair took over, and wow what hair. Yeah slowly I know I am making my way through my Hair Fair folder, but thats the fun of the whole thing, I can keep working my way slowly through it, and it makes every folder a brand new experience all over again.
It’s 11am and my day is pretty much at an end, but because of these looks I really haven’t wound down at all, in fact I want to start all over again. Ok now that I have pinched half my friends list on the bum – just because – I have a little less energy lol.
Creative hair like these styles make me so glad I get to be a resident here, diversity isn’t just about where you are from, and mixing with other nationalities, I think it’s about trying new things for yourself as well, things that may not always be available to you.
Also the hair base on these skins as an option in brown, blonde or red, definitely do give the hair a little something more. Make sure when you are demoing hair with hair bases on, you really wear a hair style that will benefit from having such a skin, it will give a little something extra to so many styles.
I took the Seductiva AO for another spin today, capturing different looks within the same animations. If you haven’t been to Red Queen to see how much fun they are, you really need to, and take your men with you, they have male AO’s that are just fabulous.

LeLutka Summer
They have been teasing and tormenting for months on flickr, that group of crazy women, and now one man over at LeLutka. The release is huge, huger than that even. I won’t be able to show you all in one post, even I don’t have that much stamina..but I will show bits and pieces as I go.
The colours are that kind of in the middle season pallette, not committing to too much brightness of summer, and lending itself enough to some spring and autumn…the mix allows you to plan for these pieces to stick around in your inventory.
Whether casual day time jaunts, or forays into an evening spent with romantic inclinations..the style and girly girl looks will do you up a treat. The use of prints in this release is lovely, and lends itself to the possibility of accessorising using the prints as well as the base colours. The release is extremely prim orientated, and sculpties being the major factor in style, so you will have to edit very carefully.
I suggest getting yourself the free resizer scripts from scripts R us and making a copy of items before you edit them. For the most part though it is usually just some lifting and shifting, rather than a whole lot of resizing , except of course for the arms, Thora and Minnu are both very lean women, so you will have to take that into account when playing with those attachments. But everything is mod and edit linked parts, and stretch both sides check box is your friend.
Very stylish in a vintage kind of way, with high collars, and wide legged pants, the large cuffs seem to be very popular in second life this season, which is a plus. The Armada dress which is the very futuristic look, has a definite Rocky Horror Show feel for me, you know that part where the creepy brother and sister go all alien on us.
Shoes and Hair are a big part of this release also, you will have to make sure you dont have all your facial attachments already taken up, as the majority of the hairstyles call for seperate bangs. The shoes with toes come with a hud inside of the shoe, so whenever you need one, just click and it will be given to you, very handy and saves time looking for it in your inventory.
Minnu told me that the majority of this release was done by Thora as she had RL commitments, with the amount of items in this release Thora did an incredible job. There will be more to come in future posts, but don’t let my time factors stop you from going now.

Seductiva
Rubberised and ready for Mel to come home. While I was waiting I decided to go on a quick run to some favourite latex/rubber stores. I always try to find new ones, but for all the tping around and finding such scarey places along the way, I have to often give up. Sometimes though , the same way I originally found this store, I get lucky and it all comes together marvelously.I’m shooting animations again today, so make sure you check those out.
Off the rubber for a moment though , YUM the hair. Both styles had me at hello, yes as corny as that is, it is true. Firstly the Beach short style I do not know if it is made for men or not, but I don’t care it is an incredible short style. The Babycakes, which has that song stuck in my head now, is just adorable, so cute but in that definite lolita up to no good way, one thing I have noticed about Curio hair in the past few years is that Rita always manages to release that naughty girl hair that is a MUST HAVE.
Oiled up and ready for time in the sun, and don’t you worry it’s designer oil created by Laq – that makes it acceptable right ? I swear as soon as the notice was sent that LAQ released oil I chuckled, because now people might stop picking on others that ask for it – lol , the oil is the light by LAQ as stated, and it comes in other depths of cover, I also have it in medium and wet, so much fun for photography and just lounging by the pool or at the beach…it also helps when putting on extra tight rubber.
The Key Largo Beach set is comprised of a pushed up tshirt slightly torn around the edges, bikini top and bottoms and very accentuating mesh booty shorts , and by accentuating you will have to find out for yourself.
The next set that I got today is the Womans Undergear set, this set comes with three tops and three bottoms options, on all layers. Due to the miracle that is Second Life, one of the tops is held on by a prayer and possibly spray adhesive…but that is what makes fashion in Second Life so much fun. One of the options of pants – not shown – are actually very wetsuit boardshort like in design, I am actually wearing them now beach side.
The Animations I have used for this post are again by Red Queen, the latest release today of the Seductiva AO had the sim packed to the rafters. The stands and different movements in each animation are just gorgeous, I especially love how the hands and arms mould themselves to the body. If you go and take a look, all the animations can of course be purchased seperately , so you can make your very own AO from bits and pieces.

Your Chicken
Cyborg and Futuristic skins have always been an incredible use of the skin template. Taking the RP to new levels with a realistic look is definitely a journey, and when you find a store that does as incredible work as this one in that genre, they totally deserve all sorts of praise.
Over the last two years I have noticed their range expanding bit by bit, slowly but surely growing into the magnificent collection it is now…but today it just exploded and springing forth was a skin line that just blew me away with its textures. The effect is nothing short of dazzling.
First off the name had me chuckling, the Cygirloid skins come in white, metal and dark…I am featuring the Metal and White in only one of the options which is the Mana. You not only get the base, which you can see in the first picture on the right. That is the skin base on its own, head and body all metal or white.
The base by itself it’s just brilliant, hand drawn as all the Paradisis items are, the effect on the metal even in the white is glossy and shined up to perfection, because you want to take care of your metalic body right. Then you have options on the face detailing, they are all marvelous options. Then you have underpants layers top and bottom that give the iridescant effect, and my goodness its effective…I am so impressed by the shine and glimmer the Mana has with the blue crystal like detailing.
I just had to add my Cyborg Energe Pack to the mix from Tigerclaw, now this pack that is on my lower back is not the way it comes, it has been tinted so that the life force energy liquid is blue, the way it comes its red and that kind of freaked me out too much. I just thought it really went with this skin so well. Also the Hair shown in the first pic was fun to edit the hair sticks from to make them also blue and glowy.
The third picture is a little less Cyborg but definitely Insilico worthy, make sure you visit Insilico sims by the way , they are very well layed out, and Whimsy Winx won’t forgive me if I don’t tell you all she said to go visit.
The Midnight Full set from Paradisis is again amazingly detailed, the rubber is so well done I can barely breath. The rubber has a matt finish but a definite thick and tight look, the extra detailing with mesh to allude to breathing space for the body are very well done..again all hand drawn and a must have.
Bloggers fate again, as soon as I left Paradisis I went over to Skanks R Us , as Poe Tatum the designer was having a huge SALE in celebration of her New Main Store. Everything is between 50 and 150L most of it being 50L, as soon as I saw this mask it was mine. Incredibly crafted the Rebreather Mask is scary and fab all at once, scary because it is scripted to mist and have sounds, that sound like darth vader.

Roll me baby
Bloggers fate hit in the midst of setting up for a shoot. Whimsy Winx of Virtually Dressed sent me a notice that came through one of her groups and it was instant TPs. We had just been shopping up a storm and I really thought I was ready, but as anyone older than a day knows, it has always been a call out over the ages for proper looking retro Rollerskates.
Imagine how joyeous it was to not only get the black ones I have on in the pics, but also traditional white. The wheels and laces are colour change scripted, which is aces, but I was totally happy with the black leather and red wheels combo that was default. Nothing like matching your wheels to your lipstick…the Roxy Rollers are fabulous.
Feeling the 80’s love with the fabulous Six Underground dress from Miseria, this style is hot hot hot, not only is it a long tshirt look, but it even has the cut shoulders so that it pulls down off of them slightly, we were such tarts back then. The screen printing on these dresses is really well done, you can totally feel the hours of work that went into them.
Also from Miseria, the Bikini Kill bikinis allowed me to show the skin detailing of the Model Skins by Idiosyncrasy, the skins come in three tones and 8 make ups each, with the added bonus of freckles across the bridge of the nose and upper cheeks. Ashia Tomsen is the creator behind these fantastic skins, and as you know until now she has only done hand drawn skins in the past, this time opting for a little mix of photo realism and hand drawn, if you know the bodies of her past skins, you will already know how amazing they are…mmmm.
Another handdrawn beauty by Miseria is the Mermaid Bustier in charcoal, this bustier is all win, the colours available are fabulous and the texture gives it that semi formal look, meaning you can dress it up or down. I just had to wear the other must have from Emery item in the form of the fuschia Skirt, I kid you not it is called skirt lol, but it is upstairs and to the left on the wall on a shelf near the blondie tshirt I showed earlier.
Tight and stretched across the body, it has a great asymetric cut to it too as in being lower on the sides at one hip, sexy sexy sexy. The Jewelry I am wearing is a new release from Bliensen + MaiTai called Mille Colori which is the necklace and the bangles on both wrists, lovely arrangements of beadwork in dynamite colours…there are five colour mixes in the collection, so you just have to find one you prefer.
Because of the fun beadwork in the Jewelry I played with the beads in the New Apple 2 Hair from Maitreya, tinting the pearlised beads fuschia to match.

Candy Candy Candy
The 80’s for me where a time of reckless abandon, the amount of times my Mum told me that our house was NOT a hotel, are too many. It is also the only decade I know the music, and actually surprising even to me, the lyrics of many as well.
Make Up was especially fabulous back then, and one of mine, and all my friends favourite was the blue opal lipstick by cutex, we loved it, I swear it had to be the one and only lipstick that you used to dig out the left overs with a lippy brush to get all of it.
The NEW Model Skins by Idiosyncrasy have an incredible blend of make ups, and the Candy is the one that made me run around on a shopping trip of 80’s love yesterday. It has my blue opal loving lips, with divine pinks around the eyes.
These are the first photorealistic/handdrawn blended skins by Idiosyncrasy and they are divine, the bodies are gorgeous, and the lips are just wow, the Model range also come with a freckles version, a smattering straight across the nose and cheeks, truly adorable for those days when out in the sun. I will do a more detailed post on them later, but was so loving this look I wanted to grab it now.
I had wanted these shorts for an age, and kept meaning to grab them, yesterday I did, and with the addition of the fabulous Blondie style tube top, it was all win. Emery is definitely 80’s lovers paradise, the whole store is 80’s devised, from the colours to the styles, it is all a mish mash of everything you have ever seen, owned or drooled over…if Duran Duran and Cyndi Lauper ever came to SL they would so totally shop at Emery.
The sofa and props I am using in this post are all from Lost Angels, they recently as I have mentioned released a whole series of furtniture that is easily used to beautify the home, but also work great for fashion layouts. The textures on the furniture and bright and colourful, with a lovely sheen, giving them more depth and gloss.

Nosferatu
A few weeks back Justice of Counter Couture, Arabella or Arabella’s Amblings and I were hanging at The Deck, when I was admiring Justice’s leather pants. I don’t inspect us, I ask just because it’s not like any of us wouldn’t share the info lol.
Justice was excited to share a store she had found in her travels a few days before, and off we went. BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY, I don’t think our mouse’s could keep up. The store is more towards theme wear, than everyday fashion pieces, but this being Second Life, theme wear and costumes are pretty much the norm. Had I had the first outfit way back when best in red and black were an every few days occurance, I would be rich by now.
The prim work is fantastic, especially on that cape, and the fluidity of the flex is amazing. The leather pants that we went for in the first place actually come on both layers and three different options, plain, dragon or stars, which are just soft imprints in the leather..the prices are fabulous and the texture work is marvelous on all of it.
It is so much fun shopping in conference, especially with voice, we don’t type much at all with eachother..and on this occasion it was the three of us, on all three sides of the store going “OMG did you see this ?” , “NO, but did you get those?” and so on.
Perfect for this post is the Nosferatu AO from Red Queen [rQ] , as soon as I saw it running through its fabulous animations I thought Dracula…not knowing at all at the time what Nosferatu was, but I actually did, and ooooooo it’s scary. Nosferatu was the first Count Dracula based movie, a silent film actually that depicted what was later Count Dracula as Count Orlok that really really creepy bald vampire guy. How Magicka got the animations so right, and the fingers and hand movements so fluid is really a tribute to this original movie…so for any aspiring Vampires this is the AO for you.

Being surrounded by water full time at The Deck, I find that my love of the nautical look rears up every so often. So even though it is nighttime here and very cold, this look covers that for me, with the added bonus of being a little bit snuggly. Not only do these lovely tanks come with the thick knitted woolen scarves but also with an alternative trim, so whether in the mood for a white edging to your neckline and sleeves, or wanting to stick with the colour inbedded in the tank, it all works.Mixing these designers up was cake, seeing as all three of them go for the all layers options, which makes dressing oh so much easier. Plus I can pretend I actually have three layers of this tank on and feel even snugglier. The thick denim of the skirt really gives it a tight stretch look, and YUM on these legging socky thingys. No seriously I wish I was showing them properly, you see not only are they garter packes, but they are also toeless, so they are the PERFECT dancer legging socky things.
But again it is cold, so I am in the stomping clomping mood today so far, and with these MENS industrial boots I am fully sorted, yes, they are mens, and as far as I know they don’t actually come in womens versions, but who would want womens industrial boots, it is so much more funna wearing mens, and definitely gives the whole look that saturday morning markets day, op shoppy moment.
With a cool wind blowing this hair is a bonus, and again it was actually a male style at Hair Fair, which ends today so don’t delay. I have to point out that as much as I really adore the style of bag I am carrying, and its overall design, the bag doesn’t come with an animation built in, and as it is no mod one can’t be added, but for taking pictures it is fun and worked with the theme.
This time I went with animations from Red Queens Anime AO , maybe I was feeling all sailor moony in my stripes, and yes I am aware there is more to anime than Sailor Moon 😛 but still the close to chest tucked in kind of feel worked with how I am feeling in the chilly air, or sea breeze ;).

Oh Oh Jane
The other style of Hair I am wearing is just YUM, as was the first, but seriously if you are into uppydo’s that do more than just glam your look, this is definitely the one. From top to toe though it is pure love.
Again you get the Diamant option, or normal, and the wide wrapparound bandeau is just fabulous and texture colour change on click, the cute thing about that too, is not only do you get a resize, recolour option, but also a LM if you need one to quickly speed off and get more hair lol.
The make up in this skin, has more of a sleek cats eye look to the liner, and the glossy pale red lips are win. this is such an appealing skin, you really will need to demo demo demo them all, and there are lots to demo.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Miel you never let me down on the cuteness, and today it was like candy for my toes. The NEW as of four hours ago Jane shoes by Miel are incredible. The wedge style is just lovely, but it is the options that had me at hello. Not only do they have this amazing gummy bear like consistancy to the brights version – not shown – but they are just win all around.
The floral ones you can change the straps, flowers and shoes part, and the mono option are just classic brilliance, with piping and straps and buttons OH MY . They all texture change into magnificance, and the colours compliment the Miel range so well. Both outfits and very different looks are from Miel, and with the more casual of the two I added some accessories.
The wide belt I already had in black from COCO but had to grab a brown one for this combination, easy as too with them being on Xstreet lol. The bag is a BareRose handbag, that if you don’t already have them all then you need a spanking, omg how can you not. The textures and styles are fantastic, but also you get different attachment points and they are transfer so they make fabulous gifts.
Finishing up the look with some lovely Jewelry from Uzuri, the necklace, earrings and bangle are all from seperate sets, but together they just worked it so well, especially the necklace with its umber/red tones, that brought the colours I chose in the shoes up to the neck.
More of a continuation of the fabulous animations in the ETrangE-I that I used earlier, so thats two posts and only part of the AO. Way fun and incredibly girly the more you watch them, this week there will be a new release of AO’s at Red Queen so make sure you look out for those also.
