I have been all over the place this past week, and feel like I really neglected blogging, so I am sorry about that. But I did have a blast setting up for My Attic with Whimsy, and rebuilding the build to be even longer because of the amount of fabulous stores we have this session. There was one stage were Mel had to log in and fix the floor, because well between the two of us girls, we kind of messed it all up to hell and back…I think at one stage we tried to drown Sachi and SySy, making them fall in between prims.

I have also as I mentioned in previous posts, been making nail huds, for the wonderful Avatar Enhanced items by Slink. The nails huds for feet and hands, just got a lot better, for those that aren’t into the hands, or wear too many skins and your skin store hasn’t done appliers yet, she just released a nail only option at Slink near the hands on the wall, for only a small price…and all the huds will work on those too, as well as them having the different lengths options, so pure win I say. I am wearing a pair of fluro nails that I made in the past week, you can see all the nails I have been doing HERE.

On top of that Slink managed to rerelease some older shoes in a mesh add on version, which means they fit on over the top of your mesh rigged feet. So re-introducing DESTINY! These are fabulous and very very high, and not only do they come in these gorgous strappy and very plasticy looking options, but each one also has the clear versions, for even more effect.

To grab attention, especially by those I am wearing, I went with an all purple look today, and those that have been following my blog, or know me, know that purple is rarely ever a go to for me. But with creating so many things in colours, and the fact that I know and appreciate the love others have for it, I went with it today, and was able to not only show these shoes in it…but also this fabulous loose change top by Elymode the most famous lover of purple I know. The top is part of an awesome set you can find at My Attic this round, so make sure you stop by, it also comes with appliers for your lolas tangos. The skirt – not shown – has an adorable loose change belt, and has a texture change hud with it. The make up layers I am wearing are also from Elymode, and are part of her Cosmetic Fair release, that is now on, so be sure to head on over to that as fast as you can, because all those make up oppurtunities in one location cannot be missed out on.

Another mention of the avatar enhanced appliers, the skin I am wearing is a firm favourite and go to for me, it is the Isla skin by League, and League has now released both the hands and the feet appliers for her skins, and so now I have my perfect matches, and I just adore looking down at a familiar skin and seeing it on mesh feet and hands. I think that is why I always love Celoe so much too, as they are of course based off LeLutka skins, so for me I have been instant matching for yonks, but then I also have no tinting issues either, so I embrace all the shoes and all the huds and all the tinting.

Speaking of LeLutka, the hair I am wearing is one from the recent release, and this was done with a new pack called Fairly Odd, and the colours are soft pastel like colours and just adorable to wear, they even come with the new hairbases that I was wearing without hair for days, because its just so cute.

Wow what a ton of activity in Second Life yesterday, it first started with the release of two NEW hairstyles by LeLutka, and I am wearing one of them called Bouffant in this post. The style is a stunning big hair look, with separate attachments for the base and tresses, so you can resize the base if needed. You also get the lovely pearl tiara included, and I was playing around with other headbands I have worn recently and they fit well, like the studded one from Pididdle and the Bow one from Remarkable Oblivion.

Other Newness, but not out until later today, are the gorgeous Jacqualine Sandals by Celoe. These are divine strappy shoes, with fabulous chain detailing that comes in either silver or gold options, just look for the SC or GC in the folder as you get both with the colour you choose. The colours are soft and the texture is a fabulous PVC type finish. I paired them up with the Ison dress from C88 that is a great tube style that does come with system layers as an option for a sheer patterned look, more formal than the look I was going for, but I love that it is an option and the dress is a stunner on its own. Ison makes me happy too as they always do such a great grey.

It gave me a chance to wear one of my favourite nail sets that I made this week, set 10 by Flair has a coloured tips look and they are all named after things to do with my great friend Whimsy Winx. The hands are beautifully matched with the new skin appliers from Pink Fuel, yes if you were not aware already, Pink Fuel has made appliers for the Slink Hands – feet to follow. It has definitely cut down time on getting dressed having these match, and I got to change hands and mess around with them all to show off my new ring from HANDverk I picked up yesterday, as well as the stunning pearl necklace.

HANDverk has just relocated to a fantastic NEW building, and the build is fantastic, the layout a pleasure to explore, and the details, advertisements and overall functionality of the shopping experience is top notch, so make sure you head over to check it out. The store is split down the centre, on one side you have their builds and furniture layed out in a great open space…then you have the other side which is footwear and accessories, which makes for a delightful trip.

I had no idea it has been so many days since I have blogged, and I almost forgot how I do things layout wise. I have been overly addicted to making nails for the NEW Avatar Enhanced appliers for the Slink hands and feet, and I think when you are on a creative roll, you have to go with it. It is funny setting up a Flair store on my own sim, I always feel like I am wasting prims when using them for myself.  The nails have been great fun, and I have even set out a Gift set, so I hope you will drop by for a visit and grab those, it is a great way to test the system, and they all come with both feet and hands huds.

Now while you are at the Slink store getting your hands and feet updates – you will find the updates in the redelivery terminals – you need to grab the Margot updates too, because the avatar enhanced version of these gorgeous ballet slippers now also come with a HUD that shows and hides the straps, so its two pairs of slippers in one. I have been wanting jiffy like slippers for so long now, and these are as close as wonderful can be. As you can see in the pics, wearing with or without can just be adorable with the right outfit, and these are ADD on shoes, so they go over the feet.

Also with the new system as shown in my last post, you can also do stocking layers for the feet now also, and SySy’s has created some fun stockings and tights sets. I couldn’t wait to fire up the yellow pair, as I knew just the dress I wanted to wear them with. The stockings and tights are also wearable without feet/stocking layer, as they include all the system layers to wear as regular tights.

The dress is the new adorable dress by Mon Tissu, it comes in an assortment of prints and colours, but the two that are definitely my faves of the lot, are the giraffe and the honey. I especially like the white piping on the honey version. One thing I really wanted to do with this dress though was wear a skinny belt around the waist, but the only ones I had on hand were prim, so they don’t more the same, I do hope Mon Tissu consider doing more accessories for things like this.

The necklace by Gossamer Jewellery, needed to be edited so it fit properly under the lapels of the dress, but that was a breeze, just right click and select edit in inventory – if you have trouble grabbing onto mesh – and I moved and tilted and voila, all great. The glasses are also divine, and both the glasses and necklace are at Collabor88/April. The glasses are by BOOM and they just tied the whole first look together perfectly, great mesh work too by Aranel.

The system is now released, notices have not gone out yet, but the REDELIVERY Terminals are ready to go. SLink has just released the NEW updated Avatar Enhancement versions of their Feet and Hands. This means that now with the NEW system you can purchase appliers from Skin, Clothing and Accessories creators that will work with these items.

The first stores to already have skin appliers for the feet are Adam n Eve, League and Tuli…following this weekend will be Izzies and Pink Fuel, with Belleza also creating appliers.

The avatar enhancement versions will NOT tint. They do not have a hud for tinting but do have NEW NEW options. The first that made me overjoyed is the Nail Lengths. There are now short, medium, long and pointed nails to choose from with this new version. The HUD is simple and you also get a basic nail hud with some lovely french polish options.

The hands will not only work with Skin Appliers, but you can also purchase Nail Add on packs (so far Adam n Eve has made some) that will allow you to change the textures of your nails no matter what skin base you are wearing. You can even create your own, by applying for a developers kit. You can also do this if you make skins, or clothing, as there is also a STOCKING layer now with the feet.

The hands have all the same gestures as previously released and the most exciting part of all of this is that this is an UPDATE. So you do not have to purchase the hands or feet again, just purchase appliers from your favourite stores.

The feet look fantastic now with skin applier options, while I didn’t have issues with tinting my feet in the past, I do like seeing familiar to me feet, such as the Adam n Eve, League and Tuli feet, all skins that I have worn for years, so seeing their skin making skills on beautiful mesh is a joy. We also now have a stocking version. Adam n Eve has released a four pack of stockings, and it was a painless experience, just use the hud for stocking visibility and then the applier hud to choose the colours and bam, you are ready to go.

The skin and stocking appliers work for both flat and medium height feet, so do not worry about that. Tuli has also done an amazing Henna HUD for hands and feet (which is on her own skin layers) which is incredibly creative, and shows that you do not have to be a skinner to achieve this. You could use the stocking layer to make adorable tattoos for your feet or hands.

Demos are available in the stores now, and if you have previously purchased the feet and hands and the items do not show up in redelivery, just send a notecard to Siddean Munro and she will send you the update, same with transactions made on marketplace.

Remember to use these appliers, add on huds and all the great new items that will be coming soon, you have to be using the avatar enhancer versions of the hands and the feet, these will not work with your regular versions.

A Reminder that Hair Fair Applications Close SOON

When I saw the picture of this sweater, I tp’d so fast to Sn@tch I actually forgot to stand up first, and landed in a sitting position. I did not care though, and quickly TP’d Whimsy and Newdoll to join me. Not only was it already squeel worthy to look at, but then I found it wasn’t in the newness section but on the right side of the store in a weekly discount special thing-a-majiggy. So the whole pack was some ridiculously low price, and seeing as Sn@tch is remarkable in inexpensive fashion, you will be overjoyed as I was. The sweater actually comes with sleeves, but I prefered it without. I love the colours that it comes in, and all all layers, so it is wonderful for layering if you want to wear with a blazer or something.

The colours and fit worked well with the great leather skinny pants from Maitreya. Especially the kaki sweater with the oil pants…so beautiful. Starting today was the annual Pose Fair. The adorable lunchboxes I am holding in the post are by Elymode and are part of her release for this event. Elysium always does great things for Pose Fair – she does great things in general – but she has so much fun with quirky ideas and often very naughty ones. The pure part of her release this year are these, and they are adorable. In RL I used to use these as a handbag, and they are lots of fun and easy to find things in. There are different poses for them, and they all come with mirrored options. There are gatcha ones, with rares, as well as a basic set, the basic one I tinted a darker grey to go with my outfit. So make sure you run over and grab yourself some of those.

The skin I am wearing is another Skin Fair 2013 skin release by Belleza. Mya is the name of it, and I am sure that is just short for ‘ You will gaze upon yourself for hours until you realise you should actually get on your VR studio and take pics, because the face is so pretty. Mmhmm that is exactly what it is short for I swear. The skin has different brow options, 5 make up types and the eyeshadows are creamy and so pretty in the colours and the smokey is awesome. Then you also get a slew of lipstick options so you can mix it all about – no hokey pokey included. Get thee to the Fair and demo demo demo.

I always feel like I am sending coded love messages when I wear Exile Hair, the names which are usually always songs, when written altogether often seem to be a whole story. All three styles today are just lovely when it comes to showing off the beautiful new dress from Zaara. This dress has a prints pack and a plains pack, but honestly I see nothing plain about them. The dress is a delight, and I would even go so far as to say that the white would be wedding worthy under the right setting. Bare foot on the beach with just your closest of friends on some tropical island, oh look theres one just a sim or two over —-> hee hee. We really do not suffer for great tropical locations in Second Life.

The prints pack is also a delight, and the soft roses on the sheer fabric that cascades down the back of this dress, are just wonderful….fantastic use of materials in mesh too, because even though it is sheer, it is only sheer at the bottom which means you will not have any issues with alpha in your hair, unless of course your hair goes down past the waist band tie.

The ribbon like tie is also just charming, and even if not walking down a sandy aisle, it definitely has date night all over it. The beautiful shoes worn with are the Cruel shoes by JD, these are at this months collabor88 and come in a lovely range of colours that actually compliment the dress colours really well. The fat pack has a huge amount of options, not only can you of course skin match to many preset skins from brands as well as a great RGB and Colour Screen option, but then you have a shoes setting page, which allows for changing of colours, the wedge colours, and the different lace options, which you can also colour and hide and show. I will say I do prefer them without the lace, but there may be a time when the lace works with a different look. Definitely worth trying the demo of, and YAY for the grey colour.

The skin is the wonderful Elyse skin by Tuli that is at Skin Fair 2013. There are two separate packs, one is Elementary my dears, and the other is Sultry. The super stunner Whimsy Winx is going to show you Sultry over on her blog today HERE. We decided that seeing we were both doing the same skin to split it between us, that way you get to visit two locations, fun fun fun. The lipsticks Whimsy also shot, because I was having rezzing issues, so just as well we were shooting the same skin after all, or I’d have had to wait a few hours for Sl to not be silly. The skins come with 4 brow options, on the skins, and five eyeshadows also on the skins, as well as dimples options, included on the skin – oh Tuli how I love thee. The lipsticks are on tattoo layers boxed in with the packs, so they are chock full of great colours in matte and gloss versions. So get on over there and demo demo demo Elyse, she is just beautiful.

In Second Life, I have always loved the chance to wear white as much as we can, without the chance of dirt and/or creases ruining a look. When we only had system layers and then sculpts, this often didn’t work out so well, with the shading needed to actually give the clothing depth, it could often look more grey than white – much as I love grey, when you want it to be white, it should be white. Mesh has given us this opportunity now, and I for one am over the moon.

The gorgeous oversized shirt by Ison is at this months Collabor88, and honestly if you don’t get them all you will only find yourself hunting it down after the event, and it may just cost you more…so get over there while you can. The white looks soft and so comfortable to wear, I could honestly just lay back and bask in its glory all day. The adorable cuffed jean shorts also in white, but One Bad Pixel completed the look of this casual day wear.

The flat clutch I am holding is by Inside Lab, a newish store that has been making all sorts of things, skins, clothes, accessories. The Clutch is an oversized envelope clutch and the white was just perfect. Throwing on my Slink thongs over my Slink feet and I could spend the day outdoors enjoying the Aussie sun.

The adorable skin I am wearing is by Amacci and is featured at Skin Fair 2013, this is Rayna and she is so pretty. The skin comes with all sorts of make ups, as well as tattoo lips – not shown – and for the first time for me to see these, lip corner tattoos that give a little lift to the outside of your mouth, nice feature. Lots of breast shading options in lots of sizes. On my shape the lipsticks show up differently, and they look heavy, like thick lipstick was applied, thats how it looks to me though, so make sure you demo demo demo and see for yourself. I do look forward to more Amacci skins, she always does a really attractive face and body, and I look forward to the next.

I am wearing another of the Exxess styles, this one comes with a hud for changing the texture on the headband, all the colours are deep though, I do wish there had been a lighter option, but the hair is just gorgeous.

This dress is just beautiful, it gives off a lovely 60’s kind of vibe, and the bow detail is just so adorable. The colours are so pretty and this one is definitely a firm favourite. I really like how it goes well with the cairo boots from Celoe, because of the lovely soft brown.  Other lovely brown , is my hair. I had to go over to Exxess earlier today for Hair Fair business, and this hair just jumped out at me, as well as a few others I purchased. One thing that did upset me though, was that not all hairstyles fit me, I don’t usually have to wear alphas and with these I do. Make sure if you are trying demos, you take off any hairbases because you wont see if it fits properly or not. They are rigged mesh, but I really live this style, so definitely try the demos and see if the hair fits you. I dragged Whimsy over, and had to drag her back out of there, so many great styles.

The skin I am wearing is by Pink Fuel, this is the Alyx skin which is a delightful face, and has such great lipstick options. It has a young face, but not so young that it isn’t wearable  as a go to skin. The body is beautiful and fit looking, with beautiful make up choices for the eyes, and even 2 options on the eye make up, allowing for different sized eyes to get the most out of the skin. Many Brow and no brow options, and I am really glad the eyeshadows are on the skin itself, because I am not always a fan of wearing lots of tattoo layers.

Yes, obviously from my title I am watching Grease as I type this up. It probably came about because of these gorgeous new jackets from Toki Doki, the Haru jacket is great. I think that if I had to pick a jacket to wear as a group of girls kind of thing, this one would definitely be a contender. The jacket is available in 6 floral prints and one coral, I am not sure why there is only one solid, but as an orange/coral kind of girl, I am all for it.

The jacket also looks fabulous with the recent release of the footless leggings from Maitreya, these cordlike leggings are pure win, and they even have a pinched version, which is their way of saying ‘ comes in at the waist, so that you can fit clothes over them better ‘ which is just wonderful, because often it is hard to find separates that work well with each other  especially if made by different creators.

The hair I am wearing is from Analog Dog, the .B department, and it is called Five. I really love this style, it is just so cute and loaded with attitude all at the same time.

The skin I am wearing is the new Glam Affair skin release for Skin Fair 2013 called Zara. The skin comes with beautiful make up options, and I love how when the make up is light for day time, you almost look more youthful than in the evening like make up. You also get red, dark and blonde brows, as well as hairbases in the same colours. Lots of beautiful choices of make up to take you all through the day. So demo demo demo. I am wearing the America tone.
