She’s having my baby
It is getting so close to countdown for the end of Hair Fair, so hard to imagine how fast the event actually goes by, when you consider how long these can take to get up and running. I am seriously running out of time to post even a fraction of all the incredible styles that are available there, so I think you just need to go buy it all :P.
First pic today features Xplosion, we have all been fans of the work of Xplosion in our group, and especially what she can do with hair. These styles are fab, and I especially love the beadwork draped over in a bindi style finish, very stylish detailing. The store does a lot of banded or cap finished hair, and I am a huge fan of both. Further down you will see my shoes, these shoes are the strangest flats you will ever fall in love with. I would find myself admiring them and not ‘getting them’ so many times and then once on it was love. Newdoll wears hers all the time, and I really need to wear mine more often, the colours available by menu are great, especially the snot green. I have worked out the creator really loves pink and green because there are so many options of both.
Next pic are some very dramatic styles, one from JE republic that is just a charming way of linking hair together, and then MiaMai with the incredible hair and headpiece creation, to be worn with hair base skins or tattoos. The gem work in this and the others featured in their booth are just mesmorising. I am wearing both styles with some more L’Abel clothing by Ivalde, two stunning gowns, one of which is at Modaiva fashion week this week.
Finishing off with some more avant garde hair from L + N Signature, the hair in this store is a must see, if you haven’t been to their main it is very entertaining, Whimsy and SarahtheRed and I once spent ages there admiring the wigs. The hair fair styles are just as fun, and can work casual or dressy, as you can see with my newer Royal Blue goodies and older LeLutka, still so in love with those jeans…and now that Kianna has a prim baby to feed – dodges the smack that is going to cause.

It never rains at Hair Fair
What a day, so Whimsy and I went over to Paper Couture to see the newness again, ended up tping in a whole slew of people from Fashion Emergency which was fun. Then when we were done we went walkabout.
Sofia a while back told us that we just had to go to Ooh La La and I had not had the chance until today. I guess with missing Mel so much it was time to be all girly girl and prepare for his return. This lingerie by Nylon Pinkney is incredible, the textures used, the detailing, all of it is true to the exceptional quality she always produces. The awe factor doesn’t stop there though, the prices are incredible, this is lingerie you will dream about, at a price that will allow you to go and add all the other bits and pieces you may need. Champagne quality at beer prices.
I am again wearing some of the stunning Paper Couture shoes, and there is so much more to love since I worked out they are modify with help from a clued up friend lol. I am going to try my hand at moving the bows to the solids lol stay tuned – if you attempt this make copies first – All of the hair that I am wearing in the first pic is by the lovely Man Lady Bubbles Clawtooth, he was an absolute joy to spend small moments with during setting up at the fair, so fun and vivacous. Clawtooth by Clawtooth hair is every vintage loving girly girls dream store, so to team the three together for pics was a no brainer.
Next pic is me channeling Anya, lol. The hair she has created for OhMai Salon is just adorable and everything you would expect by such a talent. I am so glad that she wanted to be a part of this years fair, there were so many creators this year that came back to making hair, or launched their new lines, its always been a tradition at Hair Fair to do this, and we have always kept those people a secret unless otherwise prompted. We always take that part of being on the committee very seriously, if a designer wants to launch at the fair, we do all we can to make sure that they get to do that…funny how that works, but we are always so honored at the trust in us to do so.
Anyways, rambling, the hairstyles that Anya released are so unspoiled and carefree, the colour names are a classic, and I could not resist wearing fanta, mmmmmmmmfanta. If these styles are her first foray back into hair, then I for one am way too excited about what she will reveal once she reopens her store in a few months. The skins I am wearing in the second and third pic are Tess2 by LAQ and soooo cute. Fresh faced and innocent me lol. They come in all the usual beautiful tones, with gorgeous make ups, and you can of course now get the brow and hair base add ons seperately to enhance your experience. DEMO DEMO DEMO.

Rock Paper Scissors
As I said the other day, I am going to have to run on all cylinders over the next few days, still so much hair to post on, and so many other incredible items being released and what not.
The styles I am wearing in this pic are all from Curio, now Rita wasn’t sure she was going to make it in time, but she certainly got her goods on with these releases. I don’t know what it is, but ever since 2007 Curio always seems to impress me with their short styles at Hair Fair, and of course when it isn’t, there is just something about how Rita gets things to work in that regard. Louise is the type of style that if you were a short hair girl, you wish your hairdresser could achieve. The fun bow and jade styles are fabulous for glitz and glam but also just for getting those stray locks out of the way.
I ran into Neferia Abel of Ivalde earlier today at Modavia, and she has out some charming and elegant styles there at their stall spaces for fashion week. The first look on the left is combining one of her new sets with the pants from last seasons Paper Couture…reason being of course that all the shoes I am wearing are part of their release today and so gorgeous. Yes lovelies, Paper Couture has a new cobbler and the first release is divine, these are just two of the styles and I will show more later…I hope that we don’t have to wait too long between PC releases if these are the kinds of footwear creations they are doing now.
The other great styles from Ivalde are vintage love, the dress in the middle is so stylish and would work for business or pleasure, the dress is the perfect little cocktail number, and even Whimsy was surprised at my all purpleness, but as much as it isn’t my first choice usually, I do like to rock it out because I know how many out there just love it to pieces, plus I look FABULOUS Darlings lol.
Don’t forget that Hair Fair will be over on the 19th so make sure you get there and buy up all the charity wigs, so that you can help Wigs for Kids help a child.

Same tent
Ok today I used my smarts, this post is all under the one tent lol. Which should make it easier to grab everything you can.
Ok firstly we have Jester J’s you will have seen his crazyness if you are in What’s New SL or come to The Deck already. He is the clown with the most annoying laugh EVER…but we love him deeply. He actually made the balloons that are part of the donation kiosks at this years Hair Fair, and those balloons are so amazing in their usual form.
Lets get back to hair though, the first style was made a while ago, in preparation for Hair Fair, and actually before the hair base tattoos craze hit, so I am so chuffed he waited until now to release, because they are the most funna little twist curls, and with the Boon shaved Vine hair tattoo as an under base for those fearful of full bald, its a match made in crazy town. The hair is texture change, and so are the ribbons, incredible prim work on all of these. Then you have the ability on top of that to tint to your own crazy colours. So runway Chic, especially in this insane coat from Modern Gypsy that is a Designers United 4 item, I am so ready for a 1980’s filmclip right now.
The next style is so ‘hair inspired by other things’ looking, to me this style whether intended to or not, looks to me like a trojan helmet, and that is so cool. Again texture change, and me combining the fierce hair with the incredible DU4 items from Royal Blue. Marni has been busting out new releases lately and they are all amazing, this corset has a spine that is just amazing work. You will have to make a copy and edit it a bit, but once its fitted it’s great.
In both pictures I am wearing the new shoes Milano by Adam n Eve, these are their first foray into toe/feet shoes, and they have done a marvelous job. Now if only I can get Damen to add a real pink to the colours I will be happy :P. Easy to use HUD and v2.0 and regular options which is great for all those still not using v2 options.
Next we move to Scribble. Radio worked so hard on creating her styles for Hair Fair, as it has been an age between hair releases for her, and with the releases she did, I cannot wait to see even more in the future. My absolute favourite of the styles featured at Hair Fair was going to be the Cleaning day style, the tied kerchief is so pretty and when the kerchiefs came back into fashion a few years back I for one was a big fan. But looking at all the styles and wearing them with different looks, from cleaning and bumming around the house – omg sock puppet socks – to daytime strolling with friends looks, then onto a night out on the town, the styles that Scribble produced work so well.
Another store to floor me was Calico Ingmann Creations. From way back one of my favourite updo’s was from her store, and I used to love her reds, then Fiachra was a big fan of her facial hair and wore that for an age. Over the years I pop in from time to time, but BAM the hair she has produced for Hair fair is incredible. Not only are the styles amazing but the textures are so pretty, I fell in love with the blonde in the vintage style, but the fire texture in the updo is amazing.
One pic up I went with a bit of a green throughout theme, and the me in the middle has on a beautiful tunique top by SySy’s it was her birthday last week – as well as nearly everyone of her friends, how bizarre they were all born around the same time – waves and blows kisses…the style of this is very folksie which I adore, but the fabric is just beautiful and shimmery also, which is great for casual or dressy.
You may have noticed that lately I am having a big love affair with skirts , system ones are not a new love, but the more calf length flowy style, and these two are OMG awesome, if I could have them in every colour imaginable I would.
In the post I am also wearing a recent skin release from LAQ, the Isabel skin is so petite, the nose on this skin is adorable, and the make ups are fun and playful with a range of natural to out there, I love the eyeshadow options in this skin, so pretty and colourful. As usual DEMO DEMO DEMO you won’t want to miss out on trying this one, she is lovely.

He made a Robot out of my boxes
Hair Fair 2010 is upon us, so many incredible content creators under many roofs. I am going to try and do as many posts as I can and hope that you enjoy not only mine, but the dozens or so I have seen so far.
The first store I am featuring is Frou Frou, brand new store, and the first styles I have seen are just divine. The first hair is Natasha Has Hot Rollers and as a woman who used to hot roller her hair and then shake it out, at least once a week this was a must. The hair is stylish and grand with a definite grace to it. This is the bigger of the two Natasha styles. This beautiful hair do gave me a chance to show off not only the latest release of stunning shoes from Maitreya Gold, but also my squee worthy love affair with the Yokes from Whippet & Buck.
The beaded Yoke is just beautiful and Whippet & Buck outdid themselves with not only providing it as a seperate layer to beautiful anything you want, but also on a combined sheer tank option, with all layers so you can be a little more descreet by stacking them, but in this case I am wearing it with a fabulous corset from Eclectic Apparel. I combined the look using the skirt from a really old Ghost release, so much fun mixing and matching Ghost. I am using a 2.1 viewer official actually, that allows so many more layers than ones in the past, and remembered that over at The Dressing Room Glam Affair had some face tattoo layers for sale, so grabbed those and stacked them, with also the lipstick I made for Mima by LAQ – still free at Flair in the blue box if anyone wants them.
The second style by Frou Frou is Mrs Andrews, I asked the creator while she was setting up what that was about, and it ended up being based on the character in the original Freaky Friday movie, not the JLC one. I love a concave cut bob, I once had Aleri make me one and it was a huge success, I invision this one being the same.
I found the most peculiar sim the other week, by found I mean landed upon, seeing as I am sure it was not lost in the first place. Anyway Whimsy and I ended up spending a fortune there, in small spurts as there were so many gatcha and lower priced items that it was astounding how much we did spend. Anyway while I was there I got this fabulous belt, and it was under a 100L and had all these attachment options and is really great prim work. It looks so cool with the new Jodpurs on crack by Royal Blue, as Royal Blue has just released a slew of seperates in time to pad your winter wardrobe plans. Whether casual classy or highly elegant, the Frou Frou hairs work as well as the Maitreya Gold Hana Sandals of all win.
The poses I am using are from aDORKable, they are the official Posers of Hair Fair and if and when you have time, you really need to check out the group and prop poses they made for the fair, the hair pulling ones are AWESOME.
I just got told that Newdolls hubby told her that last year at Hair Fair he gathered up all my red boxes and made a robot, I wish that I had seen it, because it would have been a hoot. No red boxes at Hair Fair this year, but you will really enjoy all the fantastic styles there…all donations are going to Wigs for Kids, an increible cause. On my shoulder

First off Happy Rezday Cajsa Lilliehook of It’s Only Fashion.
What a week, it has been ages since I did a post. This week I moved, not far. Then I got cable installed, yay for more power, but that came at a price because the day after my pc went kaputski. You have never seen anyone move as fast as me in this situation, I was on the phone to Mel asking him to log onto Officeworks lol, and tell me what PC I needed for all the things I do. Then in a cab and back home all in just over an hour. With a brand new pc lol. It is so delish, but it is kind of freaking me out too, it makes way more noises than my old one, not the machine, but like when I click on things, or go to do something. It has windows 7 and that just makes everything seem shinier.
I am totally focusing on the plus side though, like seriously I have lost 3 years of work on my old one, everything from PS in layers, all my logos, HF work for all three years. All my textures for The Deck for the builds and so on… serves me right for thinking I could make stuff, even all my new house textures and sculpties are gone. So today, to cheer myself up I bought a kit off Xstreet, and then changed it so much that I don’t even remember what it looked like to begin with lol. For some reason I work better that way, I can’t start from scratch in most things, but I can mod until it’s own mummy wouldn’t recognise it.
Even funnier still, to me. I made lipsticks for todays skins and it ended up costing me a million lindens – exagerating – and then I realised that they will only ever suit this skin, so I will have to make new ones all over again for others. It’s all learning, so no harm no foul. I have actually put them at Flair @ The Deck for free for a while, on the walkway in a blue box, so stop by and pick them up if you have the same skin. Remember though they are tattoo’s so will only work with viewers that let you wear them.
Anyway moving on, so I am wearing the Mima skin by LAQ and she is an asian beauty for sure. I was so excited to be able to also get my hands on the latest hairbase and eyebrow tattoos you can buy seperately from LAQ and I just had to, had to get the red and the blonde. I have been loving the red hair base and brows the most with Mima, the blend of eurasian – on my shape – and red hair is just awesome. It also gave me an excuse to buy some more hairbase styled hairs.
The two pic pics are me in 2 of the lipsticks I made today, so you have to look at the montage pics to see the real make ups as they are, and truly they do not need lipstick to enhance them, they are just divine. All of the Jewelry I am wearing today is from Puarangi by Hibiscus Flossberg, the first set is so neat, not only is it really pretty, but you get to choose the gemstones you want, and there is a great selection to choose from. I couldn’t resist showing that sometimes I can really rock the purple, plus the other day Whimsy tried to demand another purple week from me, so this is what she gets :P.
The ruffle rompers are from Aoharu, as are the fantastic western boots and fringe sandals, incredibly crafted, with resizer scripts. After you get them to fit you though, be sure to delete the scripts, because with that many prims they wont let you tp too easily. The rompers are so frilly and pretty, in long or short options and the tops are so easy to wear with many other items of clothing. Not only are there fabulous solids like these ones, but also some amazing prints. I was wearing the fish ones all week and of course lost those pics on the other pc.

I totally cheated today, you may wonder how and with whom? but it was all innocent and Mel knows all about it.
Fact is that recently Baiastice released some menswear, and while this is not all of it, it is a great taste for both sexes. The male in the pics is actually just me in Mel’s shape wearing the Daniel skin from LAQ. The hair the male me is wearing is also part of the Daniel skin pack, as well as a huge amount of facial hair options. Very rugged and chiseled features on the face, he is a looker for sure. Baiastice always provides beautiful textures and lovely quality whether mens or womens wear. It also always has that Euro influence that is probably more visible in the mens. The first look can be regarded as an afternoon early evening, maybe into the night look.
The second look is all evening, and scrumptious. I really love the snugglyness of the sweater, and that dress, Sissy really knows how to leather up a lady. The Kristel dress comes in many colours, but this deep red is just gorgeous, and went so well with the Mercy shoes by Orange Creations. These shoes have not only fabulous colours and straps, but the soles can be either red, black or tan which is sometimes so sexy or can really enhance a look. Easy to use HUD for skin tone matching and nails. I love a red sole and was actually reading an article about Loubouton only yesterday, one of the things that I found amazing in that article was the fact that his biggest customer with over 6000 pairs of his shoes is Danielle Steele. Imagine what she could do for the SL shoe economy if she became a resident.
I am liking my little door for the time being, so I think that will be used a tad more, who knows though, I tend to change mid post as you have seen lol. The poses I am using today are from aDORKable who are about to celebrate ONE YEAR… I am so excited for them, as they are an amazing team, and have such passion for what they do. I really enjoyed doing a post with both skins from the same place, the idea of a couple having the same skin creator is kind of nifty. Daniel is definitely a looker too, he reminds me of Smith from Sex and the City. The Aline skin is so much fuller in the lips and that really works for me, it is nice to have that change without touching my shape. I also love the eyebrow gems as they fit the arch of the brow of this skin like a dream, again no changes made, I just double click wore.

Around my world
Lots of different backgrounds today, I was a bit all over the place, and then finally of course found my fav on the last pic lol. Anyway it is good to play. I was also playing with shadows earlier as you saw, having done so a few times in the past which I think I only threw on flickr. Mel, Fia and I went out and about shadow playing on day, and it was great. But still not as good as I would have liked.
The new Kirsten Viewer gave me more than even this mornings pics, but I still have to play with it some more. Usually as I told Elysium, I use two accounts to take shadow pics. As I have enough to load with my account as it is. So the alt is my pic taker on the shadow viewer, and that usually works well. Seeing as the alts also have the VR Studio HUD, it is not an issue for pic taking.
The shadows in these pics though aren’t real, they are done in ps. Anyways, about the pics. First one is a mix of some newness. The other day I was at Niniko and I am a sucker for Gacha Machines, to my absolute delight the skirt I am wearing was in one, seriously even though the pack was available, I just had to Gacha lol. Cord skirts are right up there with denim skirts, when you find the right fit, you are just in love. Speaking of love, I am sure by now all of you have been to the Summer Sunrise Festival at Tableau. If not then you best hurry, as it ends on the 25th and is actually not only fun, but is raising money for a good cause. They are raising money for the Center for Biological Diversity… and have made a collab outfit with some incredible content creators.
Also at the same time there is an incredible opportunity for one lucky person, to win 30days store space at Tableau…that is for many the prize of the century, it would make many want to start a business just for the ability to have one there. Tableau has always been that kind of sim, from way back when it was a pier style build, with cranky starfish on the ground, and all in between builds up until now. The sexy and beautiful top I have on under the jacket is one of the items available, the Sun-drop V tank comes in 4 divine colour blends, and I love them all, so much so that without even seeing them, they were the colour palettes of my four builds this past weekend…now I can match my homes lol. Emma Gilmour of Sand Shack Surf just made a commercial for her store HERE
The other great release from Sand Shack Surf are the shoes, with cork wedge soles they are yum, even coming in navy which I am chuffed to see, even if I did end up wearing the brown lol. Another item I picked up at the festival is this stunning locket, which you can of course load your own pic into . So delicate and really beautiful to wear. I of course dragged a pic of Mel in there, but the pic that comes with is adorable too.
If you have been under a rock lately, then you will have missed the huge accessories release from LeLutka, bags, hats and belts up the whazoo. The shapes and style are great, but the texturing of them is genius, they look as though you could smell the leather. They gave me a great opportunity to use the recent Around the World pose set from Storin. These poses come with an arty portfolio style bag for each one, but of course they work incredibly well with other bags, such as these. It also helped with the great toweling coat I got from Ruxy the other day. Such a surfy look down here to have a hoodie jacket like that, the only thing missing is some Mambo print.
Moving on to the beautiful Short Trench coat by Maitreya. I have so many reasons to want to wear this all the time. First off it’s cold down here and hot up where you are, but this coat would bring that altogether nicely for me. Then there are the colours, it is a pretty high chance you are going to know what colours will come out in a Maitreya release, what is new and fun for me is the names Onyx gives them. The third thing I adore in this coat is the belt, the absolute realism given to it by tieing it in a knot instead of messing with those annoying pull through loop belt things… I LOVE THAT THEY DID THAT!
I mixed some older Maitreya in there, and same with the next pic, the older Sarong top, with the new Viento skirt. The skirt comes in options, without belt, belt seperate and belt attached. The colours are light and fun, and you I like that I was able to two tone contrast with not only the skirt, but also the Aaquus Shoes. Easily tone matchable to the LAQ Aline skins.

Golden Temple
It has gotten to that time of the year for breezing through the days, spending idle time at the beach, or just sitting curled up on your favourite deckchair reading a book.
I love the length and peasant skirt style of this ensemble by Elymode, it comes in such a beautiful print, with an assortment of fantastic colours. The detailing and workmanship on this is fantastic, and for her first bold prints style, I am looking forward to such incredible styles from Elysium in the future.
The look made me want to tackle shadows again, so using both snowglobe and v2 I was able to take these pics, and get the marvelous shadows created by one of the newish hats released recently by LeLutka. This wide brim straw like hat is incredible, how Thora had the patience to sit there and create each incredible strand is just amazing. The hat has a texture change of a few different coloured prints in the fabric portion, and even though the prints differ from the overall clothing, there was enough of the same colouring in the print.
I am wearing the Aline skin by LAQ, I have been wearing it for the last few days, and love the plumpness of the lips and the brown hair base. The hair that I am wearing is also from LAQ and matches perfectly to the base. The skin comes with stunning make ups, and the usual tones, so something for everyone in there.I shot this using one of W.Winx’s Temple builds, they are so gorgeous and realistic looking. There is a whole series of them, even market stalls for you to set up your own business in the same theme, so you should really have a look when you have time.

Biker Straps
Wow this week has been flying by…getting everything sorted for The Deck’s first birthday, I have already seen some of the beautiful items being given over the weekend, and I am floored by the generosity of the creators. I even found the cutest balloon fountains to decorate with, but as they are particles I am keeping them mostly out of avatar range so that no one ends up in a grey squares attack…I remember being new and poofers were all the rage, and you would tp somewhere and suddenly be swarmed by them. It used to scare the hell out of me.
The new dresses by Luck Inc are so much fun to play with, I totally distracted myself the other day playing with combinations just with themselves. Due to the layering and options, I could have gone on to introduce other items and totally gotten lost. The style has a semi open buttoned look that is great for casual running around, add a belt etc, but then you have the pulled down and under effect that reveals, well lots really. By adding one of the other layers from a different colour you get in my opinion a great contrast look.
Even more exciting was not only do the colours come in a great range, but they were easily matchable to the knee high boots from LAQ. I really like not only the two tone look ( the gold boots have black leather inserts) but also the bikerish style with the leather straps and that biker chaps combination but in footwear…you know the ones…those leather pants that use another colour instead of a cutout.
I am wearing the unBra skin again, I did mention last post that now it has four cleavage options, and because of that I had to wear something that showed off my favourite which are one and two, this time due to the open nature of the dress I went with the more relaxed version in the one. It is fabulous to have that kind of option, to be able to look at an outfit and say ‘what is keeping them together?” if nothing then you just need to go with the more relaxed version if there is one, and if totally confined then enhancement is definitely the way to go.
I am at IOW right now watching a gathering of residents have a social chat, it is lovely when sims are still that way after so many years….have a great week all, and don’t forget to come visit me at The Deck over the weekend.
