Level Up
Today we had a visit from Meko, if you don’t know him, he is the adorable Pink Fox cubbie that created my Sasypants website format. He is incredibly talented, and we have missed him so much. He went and got a job part time while studying and is actually doing what he did for me for a job, which is just fantastic and we are so proud of him. So while he was here, Whimsy of course wanted to dress him up, and get him some new hair.
I threw Ploom into the ring because for one, I hadn’t been since the big rebranding – shame on me, and two the styles that Ploom when it was Deviant Kitties did in the past were always really cooperative for furries. We went and of course poor Meko didn’t stand a chance, because once Whimsy and I saw all the lush hair it was all over red rover. I fell in love 5 times, I actually could have bought the whole store, but I wanted the first time to be styles that went POW!
Not only did the hair go Pow though, but the skins that Whimsy located in the other room are just gorgeous. I blogged Deviant Kitties skins soooo long ago now, the skins were actually on sale before being discontinued, but I am sure I still have them somewhere and I loved the fancy make up and really different looks that Helyanwe did back then, and still now.
Now for me the nose is a little darker than I am used to shading wise, but it is so charming a look that it takes only moments to be captivated by it. The lips are too gorgeous to leave behind and each skins make up comes with two lipstick opetions as well as freckles – not shown. I am so glad there are options too, when it comes to the peacock and seaweed etc, having the option of lighter more nude like lips makes them not as fantasy and definitely a Must Have.
Back to the hair, Deviant Kitties as it was known before Ploom was a definite must stop shop for all your fantasy cyber punkish style hairdo’s, and it was awesome, but as the grid is forever changing that had to change a little to be more lucrative. Helyanwe has found her absolute niche, she has adapted what she was so well known for, into a more every day come as you are middle ground, and I for one and cheering from the sidelines. If rebranding needed a posterchild, Ploom is it in spades. Not only has her store and brand polished up, but Helyanwe has leveled up!
The shoes I am wearing in the first pic had Newdoll and I drooling at Shoe Fair. The Wood-en shoes are by Magnifico and at first glance they look like torture, and that in itself is enough to turn your head, but when you actually look up close and personal, you can see that the foot does not sit any differently than in your favourite heels, it is all smoke and mirrors and incredible detailing. I found the colour hud harder to use than most, but eventually I got there…the resizing is local chat then click the shoe, so make sure you read the notecards provided, or you will be at a loss to know how.
These shoes are real showstoppers, and I hope to see more inovative footwear like this from Magnifico. Definitely worth attending the Shoe Fair just to try them, because they are exclusive to the fair at the moment. Their asian styling made it a perfect fit for the latest dress by DCNY this lovely Jasmine dress that has such pretty detailing and comes in a great range of colours. In the back pic, my shoe porn, I am wearing the sexy sheer teddy from underneath the Fantasy dress from VR Foundry, very naughty and very sheeer.
The second pic contains the latest and a recent release of Surf Co shoes, all again at Shoe Fair. Emma always provides the perfect colours for her footwear, so it is just as simple as opening a folder to find your coordinating pair. The new belts by Nyte n Day are gorgeous and make a great mix match with the moccasins especially, they have that same american indian thing going on – and seriously if that is not pc to say, I don’t know an alternative I am Aussie remember.
Another absolute love affair I am having lately is with Pig, but then so is everyone, but it is because I always feel like I am finding my own little treasures there, it is like finding the perfect out of the way op shop that no one has picked over yet. The cardigan I am wearing is definitely one of those must haves, YUM.
Ok lovely ladies that all converted to Kirstens, for some reason it didn’t work for me tonight, crashed every time I tried to take a pic, but that is cool I went with Restrained Love instead, because it also has the add layers thing, but seriously it also has multiple attach, but without having to do anything but wear, funny part is though, it doesn’t remove the other, so I was wearing four shoes and two hairstyles at one stage lol. In the necklace pic, I have on three, no editing recquired, and as long as someone has the 2.1 I think they can see it ok. Yabba Dabba Yum Yum
Yonks ago I did a post about Pebbles of the Now, fashion wise what I think she would wear. Todays dress and look is totally going that route again. I have always been a Flintstones fan, and wanted to be Pebbles when I was little. I should have done this post with all red hair, but who knows, maybe she dyed it when she got older lol.
The Posh dress is a release by DCNY, the dress comes with the stunning lace under or over shirt, with many clothing layers to style how you want to. The tigerstripes on a pastel background are yum, and the lace top is going to be an absolute staple for so many looks. I even threw on a belt to make the dress bottom look like a skirt, just to have even more versatility.
I am of course wearing the bra top by Maitreya underneath, but you can opt for no bra or different styled one. The possibilities are endless.
The shoes I am wearing are the latest from Kalnins, they are the Yolande and every time I blog Kalnins for some reason even though the colour options vary so much from style to style, they always work with what I plan to blog, bloggers fate for sure. The style are great for dressy or casual, and the zip front make them realistic to slip into. You as usual also get different options for colouring due to the individual areas all having their own options.
The poses I am using are all Glitterati, they extended their poses SALE, and until the 21st most of the store has been reduced to 100L a set, so make sure not to miss out on that…also if you have any store cards, use them now as they wont be accepted after that.

Elegance
I miss the days when we used to wear a gown at least once a week in Second Life, where did those events go? did people get busier or leave? I know that we often talk about those days gone by, and I do know that people do still go out dancing and on dates in Second Life, and thankfully because of that we still get creators making such beautiful items for us to wear and enjoy.
As soon as I saw the latest hair release from Maitreya I was so glad that I did not already shoot the Nadera Gown the other day when showing other DCNY items…my bloggers fate I guess, because the hair and gown go hand in hand together.
The stunning french twist hairstyle is so incredibly beautiful and yet you could easily wear it to the office as well…a tight updo such as this is always a crowd pleaser, and this one definitely had me at hello, as Mel loves updo’s and he really likes Maitreya hair textures as he thinks they look so soft and pretty.
The Nadera Gown was another item shown at the fashion show recently, that time in a gorgeous navy blue, all the colours are as breathtaking as each other…so whichever one draws you in you will be more than happy. The plunging back with the crisscross lacing is stunning, and the fishtail bottom just divine. Make sure you have a look at this gown and all of the other beautiful formal and semi formal items at DCNY when you are next in need of something so beautiful.

Fore score and twenty yards to go
The first thing he said (Mel) was ” You’re playing golf in heels?” my response was ‘Of course’ I mean seriously how else would one play golf? I recently went to the Modiva Fashion show and wanted to rip this first outfit right off the model, I even said so out loud.
The Farah outfit from DCNY is just wonderful, with it’s old time charm and current style, it is just a beautiful combination of colour and print. I especially like that I can take apart the pieces and wear them independently of each other, those gaucho pants are going to get lots of wear, and the socks for sure.
Perfect shoes for this combination for me are the high oxfords by Tesla, she is back by the way, and I cannot wait to see what she has brought back with her.I am wearing the Time gone by necklace again by Glow Studios knowing as soon as I put this outfit on that it was a must… the pocket watch look is just beautiful and if you have been looking for something like it make sure to check it out.
Wearing other lovely pieces from DCNY this time mixing and matching with the newness from Maitreya, the combinations in the colours are so easy, and the shoes and socks options just all worked so well together. The Raine shorts and leggings are so cute, and again can be worn separately of each other. The leggings even have sculpted ends – not worn – for a more ruched look, and the skater knee pads that are part of the texture are so cute, not that I will be doing any rollerskating or skateboarding in this outfit, it is too cute to sweat in.
The Camden jackets are another gorgeous new item from Maitreya, and the colours, texture and style are so perfect for the up coming weather. Light enough for spring summer, and adorable enough for not so freezing wintery days I am soon to have…hopefully not so freezing this year *prays. That is why I had to check with the lovely sweater from DCNY and look how well it fit underneath *chuckles.
That and the vintage bra from Maitreya, that goes so well with the Allure with Socks shoes, these are sooo cute, I love all three of the styles available in this release, each have their own charm, todays charm is all about the ankle socks and the textures they come in are yum.
The hair I am wearing in the second shot is by Exile, it is a new style called Carly and originally came with a rainbow like texture on the headband, yay for mod copy hair, because I totally copied it and changed the texture to one more in keeping with my look, and still have the rainbow for more colourful days.
Rocking it out with the Amacci Giselle skin again, I really like the pixie look it gives my shape, I am starting to think I might have to dig out the elf ears I have stashed away somewhere and give it a whole whirl lol. Until then though make sure you DEMO DEMO DEMO.

So the other day while chatting to a friend, I was discussing the old and still one of mine and many others favourite blogs. Style Disorder!. If you don’t know about this blog, it’s ok I forgive you, and blame Willow 😛 for having it on lock down.
But – tee hee’s behind my hand – I was able to find a back door…yes, Imagine my glee when I found an old post that still went to the blog, and then allowed me to get to the main. I was OMG OMG OMG’ing all up in Emma’s box, and her and I spent the next half an hour or more flicking through the archives – yes when it’s this much fun you can virtual flick.
We found a lot of old Sand Shack Surf posts, and wow it was amazing going back through it and seeing such familiar things, things I myself blogged around the same time on Appearance Mode, or ones I ran out and bought due to them being on Style Disorder. There is of course the famous MilkShake post, and so many sales I went to.
I found Old Gravy due to that blog, and I got to see a different part of the ladies that ran it, it was awesome. One really awesome thing was all the SODA skin posts, seeing as I have been blogging them all week it was definitely my bloggers fate I reckon.
Then Emma showed me an ad and we both ended up deciding we really liked the jacket, so when we did more looking were both surprised to find out that it was in fact a Jacket made by HeatherDawn the owner of Second Style Magazine. Now somehow along the way I have totally missed the fact that she designs, and doesn’t just design HAND DRAWS her items.
Emma and I were excited to find that she still in fact has a store, and we trotted right on over. I crashed, and then came back and snapped up two of the jackets as Must Haves. There is not much there to be honest, and I so wish there was, Emma even exclaimed that had she kept creating – The Jacket is from a post in 2007 and still under the New banner in the store lol – that she would be an amazing store today.
Can someone over at Second Style do their duty and PUSHHHHHHHHHHHH that woman towards her photoshop please. I also ended up spamming a group with the Style Disorder link lol, and it was so funny because the first post someone wanted that item too, and off they went shopping. So the moral to the story is DO NOT LOCK AWAY YOUR ARCHIVES . people can still find something well and truly to love, because as I alwayyyyyys say ” Everything Old is New to someone” .
The other day I got an IM from the lovely Sofia, New hair at Zero Style, she tp’d me over a little while later and due to delightful demos, I changed colour choices for the newness. Seriously you can make so much more money from hair addicts if you use awesome colours, and variety in your demos.
Same thing happened for me at Clawtooth, changed colours due to gorgeous demo and just couldn’t resist the hat and netting, I mean they are so adorable, even if a little on the minnie mouse side of cute.
Giving a little reshowing of the Nadia heels, even Mel said they were sexy last night…mind you as written previously he is already a fan of her work. They do have only one attachment point, so you can wear with prim cuffs or ankle jewelry if you need that space. Always handy with shoes to only be one.

I just wanna do you, do you…underneath the moonlight. Yes for those of you that watch Modern Family, I just watched that episode lol.
The other day I had the pleasure of spending a few moments with Anessa Stine, the multitasking demon. I was visiting the NEW offices of TOO SEXY an upcoming Magazine that will be launched in late Jan for Valentines Day. I am actually very excited about that, as I will be writing for the magazine, not something that I had planned to do, I was just being nosey…but it all just fell together. For me who has always worked full time for others – now I freelance which has been very satisfying – I had never put myself in for things like that, due to never knowing when I would have to TP with no notice to help customers etc.
So anyway stay tuned for more of that, the team is so exciting. While I was there I complimented her on her pants, I try very hard not to inspect when it’s friends, as I have said before…I just ask. They were from DCNY which is another business that Anessa is part of, and last night I was honored to have some of the DCNY goodies dropped on me. Which was kind of lucky, as I didn’t realise they were part of a set, and I would have been all over the store looking for pants.
I really like the old style of this set, it has that 1920 paperboy thing going on, or you can totally imagine it on a new immigrant with battered cardboard suitcase in hand as he looked up at the then huge buildings of New York. Yeah I know it is just how my brain is wired :P. But even though it has a very masculine style, it is very feminine wearing it. Plus what’s not to love when it comes with hat hair, the fedora with built in hair in many colours is included.
Donning another hat/hair style from Iren, this time adding a gorgeous Knit Scarf from Aoharu I toned down the look a little, and can see this shirt and those pants rearing often. Once established in the big city, taking on the Glitz and Glamour of the flashing lights and dancing until dawn, the Gloria dress is splendid for swiveling and shaking your tail feather, or in this case, your hip and front feathers as well.
I am today wearing Alice, another of the SODA skins, seriously if I was a make up company, this would be the style face I would want to show it, especially the lipsticks, wow those lips. Again the range of make ups is lovely, and for those in need of some lush red lips with smokey eyes, you need to give Alice a whirl. I am wearing Tuesday hair from Magika, but funnily enough she released a hairstyle called Alice yesterday too, with and without bangs, so you totally need to check that out.

Breezing Through
It seems like these pics have been hiding in flickr for weeks, everything has been on fast forward the last few days. Skin/Shape Expo has been going strong since the second the doors opened, and that is a fabulous thing. Right now though I am trying to not lose my mind, due to the fact that my pc seems to want to sound like a powertool all of a sudden and it’s so loud it’s scaring the hell out of me.
I have always felt that the Breeze skins by Gala @ Curio were more of an everyday skin, a bit purer than the Vixen or the Lovely. but by no means does that mean any less sexy. It was just as much fun to dress in different looks for the NEW Breeze 2 skins – now found at Skin/Shape Expo , than it was for the other two.
The first dress I am wearing is actually on my wallpaper, and if you have ever seen my flickr, you will find it familiar, as a dress I recently wore on a romantic dance evening with Mel. It is the Anessa dress by DCNY , named after the delightful Anessa Stine of On Your Toes.
The dress is designed to wear short or long, and has a definite resort/get away kind of romance to it. The colour and style made it perfect for this make up, and opting for bare feet for the evening walk along the beach as the sun sets just felt right.
A day spent outdoors is perfect for the Meeko dress from Bare Rose, I got so excited when I saw this dress, as our favourite pink fox is named Meko and it is such his style. All little girls have at one stage I’m sure had a frock just like this one. The style is so pretty, and the addition of the chest piece not only has the sheer patch but also a curve between the cleavage to actually make the dress more believable in style.
Again able to compliment the beautiful blues in the Breeze 2 Make ups in the Gala skin . The Mary Jane shoes from Miel and their fabulous colour change options worked a treat also, having a lovely cornflower blue in their lights option. The hair I am wearing in the – ok seriously I have been writing this post for 3 days lol – pictures except one are from Clawtooth by Clawtooth , they are the Good Morning and Good Afternoon styles, I really love this hair, there is also a Good Evening with bangs, but these two are my favourite of the three, I am also stoked I went for the red pack not black as usual, because how cute does it look with the kini lol.
The Next picture is the latest releases by Miel, seriously is there nothing those two talents can’t do ? The cali cords are such delightful sculpted skirts with a beautiful belt, you can also buy the belt seperate.
The hoodies, have a beautiful style to them, not your regular sweater hoodie at all. Recently Miel entered hair making, and they have taken to it like ducks to water. The styles I am wearing are either sold with hood attachment or without. So even if you aren’t into the hooded look, you don’t have to miss out on the lovely style.
I really like pulled back bangs do’s, and this one has a lovely widows peak kind of look to it, that is even hotter. The whole look is cool and casual, but with definite style, and the perfect neckline to show off the New at Jewelry fair Primagine Cascade set , this jewelry is really awesome and has that boho but elegant charm that is so in right now. It also doesn’t hurt that it draws attention to the cleavage.
Lastly the Retro Dots Bikini , also from Miel, and so prettyful, the colours available are delightful, and the style is vintagey fun. The top half is sculpted but not hard to edit and it does have a glitch layer.
So as you can see Breeze 2 Skins by Gala are fun and flirty in a ever so pretty way.
