A Hybrid New Year – My Attic

    a Hybrid NewYear

    Meghan 1

    Meghan 2

My Attic @ The Deck  Countdown session will end as it turns 2013. One of the awesome releases for this session was the WinxBox – Countdown, that not only works for this New Year but also the next 2 years coming, as the banner includes years past and future. The colours worked so well with the Cassiope Gown from sYs that is also at My Attic, but I decided to make my own hybrid look. First using the top layer of the gown, over a strapless mini from Cynful. I  also added the Lolas Tango breasts to the mix, so that I had a bit more stacked on top, and with the appliers by Cynful it is two quick clicks and you are done.

I really like this gown attachment, the gown is lovely too, but it is a bit baring for me up top. I like that it comes in two parts though, because this piece can work with lots of other looks, including dress pants. The hair I am wearing is Resolutions, which was actually almost the theme for this session of My Attic, but we went with Countdown instead. The hair is by EMO-tions, and she has created this stunning updo, with intricate tiara and jewels dispersed through the style. It is also a hybrid hair, as it is based on a hair base making it sleek and tight, before building upwards into the grand style it is. The hairbase is also incredibly beautiful to wear on its own, as it has a real 1920’s kind of look to it.

Because of the hair being so jewellery like, I went simple for attachments, but decided that the newest Rosal neck corset really brought the look together. It has an obi bow at the back of it, as well as brocade and beading parts, that are all colour change with the hud. The neck corset and the gown piece all bring it into somewhat of a futuristic look based on a vintage ideal…which is what a lot of futuristic movies seem to do anyway.

The skin I am wearing is by Adam n Eve, it is Meghan. Meghan has a great personality face, with incredible structure, and strong eyes. The mouth is full and the added benefit of the skin is that you get dimples on a tattoo layer, to just add a little bit of mischief.  The skin comes with six make ups, dehancers on tattoo layers, no nails gloves so you can wear prim nails with ease…hairbases in various colours as well as brow tattoos for blonde and red. It also has an inner eyelid tattoo that is modify so that you can tint it any colour you like to add a bit of a smokey look to your make up. Then on top of all of that, you also get freckles…so be sure to DEMO DEMO DEMO.

    Miel Cargo HUD

The other day I mentioned falling in lust with a necklace. The necklace is the one I am wearing today called Tied. The necklace first grabbed my attention from afar based on the fact that to my fishy loving eyes, it looked like a fishbone, but on closer look it is a tie. Either way, I just love how it looks, and it comes with either a leather cord option, or chain (worn). Such a cool necklace, and I still think I can get away with telling myself it is a fishy.

The top I am wearing is by Somnia, it is their My Attic item for this session, and I was instantly drawn to the music notes and the very cool 80’s flashdance kind of look to it. The two tops seem to have been rigged separately, so if you do raise your arms a lot with your AO the top may clip under the arms. I do adore the overall look of the top, and it comes in packs of either white or black tanks underneath in lots of colours for only 95L during the event.

Because of the 80’s music video kind of feel of the ensemble, I rezzed out the Stirred WinxBox as that was always kind of that feel, and the bright pink gave a good contrast to the outfit. The tights I am wearing are the new high waist ones by Izzies, they come in colour pack or naturals, and even have tattoo layer as an option, which is a great layers saver if needed.

The skirt I have on is by Miel, and it is a cargo skirt that comes with a fabulous HUD, that allows for changing the skirt, pockets and belt. It also has solid or camo print options, so you get so much in the one skirt purchase. For winter looks layering over leggings or tights is fabulous, but it will definitely look sexy bare legged also.

The other My Attic items I have on, the Ewing hair in a metal fade special texture pack for the event you actually get two options in each pack, as well as male female sizing. Then there is also the Glam Affair skin Renee in special make ups, this is one of three that are at the event, so be sure to grab those because they are so beautiful on. Perched atop the hair, I have on a hairband by Bliss that I purchased when I went on that big hat buying spree, it is so pretty and adds just the right flair to a look.

All that dancing – in my head – means that my feet are going to be sore for sure. To make sure they are pampered, I am wearing the new Ugg boots by RedMint. They come in a bunch of lovely colours, from these dark ones, to really light and pretty pastels, the pinks are must haves for sure. The boots are rigged and come in standard sizing, so you can definitely get your Ugg on.

    Sky Loft

First thing I have to do today, is apologise to Mel. In all my trying to make sure that his eyes were not my eyes, and changing the colours etc…I forgot the more important thing. The most important thing of course, was to make sure I was not still wearing my girly girl brow shape lol. When I showed him my post of the Mens Belleza skins, he said it was very peculiar that he somehow looked like me, he of course likes to rib me at every and any opportunity, but I made loud exclamations of “NO WAY” and then he let me know my brows were still MY brows. So Mel my handsome thick browed Man, I love you, and I am sorry I made you look girly browed. This just of course gives you more of a reason to go over to Belleza and try all the male skins on yourself, with your Manly brows.

A day or so ago – time is lost on me these days – Whimsy and I went over to Scarlet Creative, as she is having a huge SALE. The SALE actually ends today, so you need to get over there fast. You will also need some time, because you will be going through two of  the rezzers and wanting to snatch up pretty much everything in sight. Be aware though, the stuff in the rezzer is much older, and has a huge prim count in most cases, so even though they are reduced to an incredible 50L if you do not have the prim budget you will find yourself in trouble. But I highly recommend buying up lots of them, because they are great to even pull apart and use for backgrounds etc. As well as the rezzer items, there are some newer less prims houses/builds for SALE prices as well. They are in the 250L price range, be very sure though when buying, because I did notice that one or two of them had both pay and buy options, and one is not sale priced.

The Sky loft I am standing in today is not in the rezzers, but definitely a bargain, and if you are on the lookout for a great loft space, this is going to please you. It only has a land impact of 57, which means you could fill it full of fabulous low LI mesh furniture and have a great environment, for work or play. I love fitting out homes like this one, the problem though, is that I get the guilt’s about prims, and tend to take from myself for the sim…so it is rare for me to actually have a home space…but that may just change in 2013. Another great thing about the Scarlet Creative homes is their whiteness. White usually infused with some natural timbers and iron, as well as the occasional brick. It gives you a clean canvas so that you can really go to town with decorating, and adding lots of punch colours. The builds are mod, and because they are copy, you can also add feature walls, tint or just throw on your own textures if you want something a little warmer than all white.

I also made sure that the roof was transparent on the outside face ( edit – select face – click the side of the prim you want – texture tab – transparency 100 ) this gives the sun a chance to come in from overhead, allowing for more shadows, and because Scarlet Creative does a lot of shades, windows, beams in her builds, shadows are awesome.

The outfit I am wearing is a mix of some things old, and some things new. The extremely old but still really versatile and attractive, is the ribbed tube top from Sn@tch. I have always really liked the exposed shoulders long sleeve look, it was a huge late 80’s early 90’s but with a dressier shirt. But this tight ribbed look is fantastic, and would fit well under mesh clothing for a little bit of layering love. The Newness, and event newness at that, is the beautiful Grazia necklace by Glam Affair, that is part of this months FaMESHed – I told you I would end up featuring the event more, when I took the stress away from my imagination.  The necklace comes in 6 different colour combination options. The item is mod, and I did have to resize it a smidge, but it also tints really well if you go with the black and white version. I had tried to do some red in there as well, but the mesh shares the same texture, but again, it does tint really well, so you can have some fun with the colours if you want.

The other FaMESHed item, that just screams FatPack from the rooftops, is this Kimono tie leather skirt by Nyu. WOW, just wow. This skirt is divine, and the leather texturing is incredible. The tie belt is just a beautiful detailing that takes it from just being an item you wear with other items, to being a centrepiece. It moves really well, and fits superbly, I am wearing size 2, not sure whether Nyu bases her five sizes off standard sizing or not, as they are numbered, but I am a 2, and if this was an SS I would be XS – as it is high waisted – so that works for me.

The hair I am wearing is one of the most recent releases from Red Mint. The shaggy looking hair is very sexy, but not shown is that it has a braid weaving through at the crown, and side on even appears to be shorter than it is. The style is hot, and you need to demo it asap.

The shoes I am wearing are from Redgrave, the new Grace shoes, these strappy shoes are high and sleek, and have great realistic leather work too. I still have to come to terms with the size of the big toe with the strappy feet shoes from Redgrave, but other than that, the foot is really nice, and I am getting so much better at working out that HUD. I think the toe gives me more issue because as a blogger I tend to get down at foot level a lot, where as every day wearers do not look from that perspective, and from a regular viewpoint, they are really sexy shoes.

    Man Up!

    Ethan

    Dylan

    Cooper

He doesn’t know this yet, but Mel had his shape borrowed by me today for this post. He does know I have it of course, but usually if I am going to use it, he is usually around to ask first…so I hope he doesn’t mind being my body – or am I his body ? –  for these wonderful skins and fantastic hair.

The three skins, Dyland and Cooper are by Belleza, and they are all fanatastic. I honestly took way longer doing these pics than I should have. I not only like the faces of each guy, but also the facial hair options, they are so ruggedly handsome. Mel actually already wears Belleza skin full time, but if he didn’t I would definitely be going over there for a shopping spree, because I really liked them all on him.

The skins come with different facial hair options, as well as hairbases and chest hair. The bodies are well defined, and the back view is simply marvelous – holds up a placard with the number TEN on it. So be sure to take your male friends, your M-alts, your partners, brothers, uncles, and any other males you can find over to DEMO DEMO DEMO.

Now above every yummy man, is yummy hair. These three styles are by Exile, and each one has a very cool kind of look about it, from the casual beanie look, to the more sophisticated and kept styles. I especially like the Revolver faux hawke kind of look, with the new short hairbases by Exile. The number 2 bases come with sideburns too, so it just adds more to the suave look with the great tuxedo by Gizza.

    A – Line Girls – Collabor88, My Attic, FaMESHed

    A-Line Girls

    A-line

We haven’t done a collaboration post in such a long time, and we had been talking about doing so for ages. Originally we were supposed to do one with Anessa as well, and we definitely will do that soon, but as she was busy we decided that doing a post on her latest A-Line skirts by DCNY was like having her there in spirit. The background item in the shot is an amazing belted shelf by Pilot. The belted idea is so brilliant, and I can seriously see DIY nuts from all over, re purposing their leather in such an attractive way. The shelf is available at FaMESHed, and there is only a day or so left to get it there. I was, up until last night a FaMESHed blogger, but with so many commitments to other things, I did not feel I was posting on them enough per month, so I removed myself. I hope that by doing so, and leaving the guilt baggage behind, I can really focus on mixing them in a lot more often. I even made a spread sheet last night with names of as many stores as I could think of, as well as events, so that I can be sure I am spreading my blogging around more. I never thought I would have to do that, but definitely gone are the days when we waited weeks, sometimes months for releases – and I for one am so glad of this, yay for creativity being so plentiful in Second Life.

The skirts both Whimsy and I are wearing are DCNY’s item for My Attic @ The Deck. The skirts come in a bazillionity colours and prints, ok maybe not that many, but it will seem so. Especially if you buy them as the three packs they are being sold as especially for the event. So you get three awesome skirts for 95L, and there are solids as well as prints, which will make them a definite go to skirt for many many looks. One of my favourites is actually the bamboo print, and Evion did a perfect post on that over HERE on her blog the other day. Whimsy is also showing another of the great prints, the Poppy version not only here on my blog, but also on her own HERE .

The tops we are both wearing, and who can blame us as they fit so well, are by The Secret Store, and are at this months Collabor88. The top is a damask weave, which is actually historically one of the strongest weaves there is – it is why it is so popular with curtains and bedding, that of course and its beauty. I really love the sweetness of this top, with the thin belt and the collar, it just works so well with many looks. I had to fiddle around a lot to get the necklace I am wearing to look as close as I could to being fit well under the collar, and I think I did ok. The necklace is a new release from Yummy. It is a charm necklace in the sense of good luck charms/talismans. The creativity that went into this is super, and I just adore its eccentricity, which is a lot of what draws us to Yummy and all of the Tableau stores to be honest.

The socks are also collabor88 items, they are by fashionably dead, and they are hybrid socks, as in the socks are system and the tops are mesh. Perfect standard sizing fit, and they are just way cool with this skirt and especially with the 77 loafers by Treads. I am feeling all sorts of Nerdy Chic today in this look. The hair tops it off. The Babette style is Mina hairs My Attic item for this session. The bun is adorable and the blunt bangs just give it a quirkyness I really like, especially with wearing glasses for the post. Soft tendrils frame the face, so you don’t look too serious in the look, it is all win.

Countdown is progressing – My Attic , Collabor88

    numbers

    numbers2

    Foxy 1

    Foxy 2

Countdown is Progressing…………now get that song out of your head. It is Boxing Day Down Under, and Eating Day down here was wet and much cooler than years past. It was a lovely day though spent with my Mum, and nibbling on delightful foodstuffs throughout the day. I hope you all had a wonderful Eating Day with your loved ones. The day before was Anessa Stine’s Rezday, so to all those that also celebrated rezdays this week – there are a lot that join over the holidays, what with new pcs and all that jazz, I hope you had much fun, and had people that adore you and are grateful you joined SL as much as we are that Anessa did many moons ago.

A bit of a MichaMi roundup today, as soon as I saw the Blanche tuxedo jacket, I got all excited about looks I would want to do. I had to size up and size down to achieve maximum mix and match potential, but with the greatness that is standard sizing, that was achievable. I layered the fabulous jacket over the recently released Kiaa dress. The dress is a lovely mini with side panels and ruched front effect – the ruching is stronger at the torso. The dress can be casual or dressy, dependent on how you wear it, and what you wear it with. I also added the lovely tilda leggings underneath, that are also mesh. The leggings will not fit under if you don’t have the room, but the look can of course be recreated with system leggings as well. It will all just depend on what sizes you have to play with, for a good look body wise.

As it was a tuxedo, you need a bowtie right, so I went with the darling bowkerchief that is the BOOM item for this session of My Attic @ The Deck. There are two packs available, one is pink and white colour options, and the other is red and black. Then there are various lengths and shine options, so you get a lot of bowkerchiefs to choose from. The other outfit is a much older top, that was a two part dress look. I really like how this as a two part look was constructed, giving it a really professional feel. Then being able to wear the top like this, in a more casual mix, makes it a must have item. The pants are actually much older MichaMi pants, and so comfy to wear, they are system with sculpted leg attachments. They even looked cute under the dress until I changed.

The hair I am wearing is from Ploom. The first is Mosch from My Attic, and the second is one of the 12 day of Christmas styles that they recently had out, one new one each day, that was a great lot of hair at one time, and an amazing amount of work. The Mosch style has a colour change hud for the band, and I really like the high loose bun look of the style, it has an adult Pebbles kind of look to it. Peyton is a lovely high ponytail, both styles will definitely wear well with lots of mesh clothing.

The other accessories worn are the necklaces and bag from Maxi Gossamer at Collabor88/December. The patience necklaces are beautiful watch necklaces in silver or gold, and in two different lengths. I really like this idea, and this look was really popular mid 90’s, I think we all got jealous of nurses for a while there. The bag comes with different length straps, shoulder or hand, as well as velvet or sequin texture. I especially like the velvet with the cross on the front option.

The shoes I have on are the new boots by Bax Coen. The boots have two options of coloured leather/suede in each pair, and then a number of edging colours all available via a click on the boot for the drop down menu. I took a pic of some of both options, as you can see you get a lot of boot for your buck. The other very cool thing about the boots, is that you get a hide cuff option, which allows for a sleek fit under cuffs of pants. Make sure you try on the demos of these, because they will be a great addition to your booties collection.

The Countdown set is available at My Attic @ The Deck. it comes with 4 rug poses and one pose for each number wall. The number walls are texture change to either silvery/grey or red options and the grey tints really well. The standing poses used are from the Interval set by Status that is also a My Attic @ The Deck item, so be sure to grab all of those for only 95L while the event is open.

    Princess – My Attic

    Princess

While taking pictures I have been listening to Cher on Spotify. If you have never tried Spotify, you really should, because you can listen to just about everything. I have always loved Cher, but it was not until tonight that I realised Bang Bang was actually her song, and Nancy Sinatra covered it. I have been spending a bit of time on the ground this week, meaning the land level at The Deck sim…due to the opening of My Attic for December yesterday. The theme for this session is Countdown, and it has probably been driving Whimsy crazy, because I keep singing out “COUNTDOWN”  – it was a top 40 music interview type show here through the 70’s and 80’s. Here you can see an old old old interview with Michael Jackson, so you can see how we were entertained Down Under as teens.

The theme was inspired by the excitement and festivities leading up to a New Year, the countdown to January First. It also is about coming together, spending time with friends and family, and just everything that you want to accomplish now and into the future. The Holiday Decor set is one of the My Attic items by Scarlet Creative. There are also beautiful cushions as part of the set, and I just love that the screen/dividers also came with, so you can create great spaces and alcoves for really low prim count, as they are only 2 land impact each. The fireplace is 1 as well as the other pieces, so add this set to any home and it will just add beauty. The twig heart with lights is such a lovely piece, I hope you all get this for your homes, at 95L for the whole set while it is at My Attic, definitely worth a visit.

The tree I have in the picture is actually a gift from LeLutka/Celoe for the holidays. It is the Very Merry Tree, and has become a kind of tradition for Thora to create a beautiful tree as a gift. There is also hair and a divine hat, so make sure you wear your group tag and tap the tree for it, and the presents underneath for the other two gifts.

A big surprise for many I am sure, was the release at My Attic from Luxuria. Roslin Petion has been hard at work in RL the past year, so this is her first release in a very long time, but I like everyone, am hoping she does many more in 2013. The underbust corset is available in 4 colours to purchase, and it comes with a lingerie set as well, including bra, panties and stockings and garters. I love how this just fits so well with the pants from Tutti Frutti also at My Attic. The jeans have a sparkle like texture to them that is subtle enough to not look too over the top, but glitzy enough to wear out on a special night.

The shoes I chose were a recent special for Decoy, if you didn’t grab them then, you need to get them now, the bows at the front are just adorable. They also have a silvery sparkle effect to the texture so that makes them just perfect for the festivities and parties ahead. Up to the top now though, the hair from Exile that is at My Attic  is just wowza. The Waiting for Tonight hair is a stunning behive half uppydo look. The front of the hair is combed over and under at the side which is a stunning additional detail, it also looks great with the recently updated hairbases by Exile. The hair itself is a must have, but add the stunning tiara pin that has 11 metal colours options to the mix and you have a MUST MUST Have item. I am so looking forward to wearing the tiara with other styles too.

While I was downstairs, I was people watching, as I do. In walked two incredibly well put together women…Jennifer and Andee ( I really hope I got that spelling right ) Andee had this mix of gangster and burlesque look going on that I just loved, and she was wearing a necklace that I had to have. I IMd her and she was lovely and told me I could get it at Amorous. Now jewellery I am wearing are actually not that item lol, but as you can see from this set, this is definitely a store to visit and buy lots at. The Suki set I have on is just great, and has texture change abilities for metal colours as well as the chance to make it two tone, by changing the plates that alternate…very cool. The build of the store is also amazing, so go check it out.

Lastly the skin, another My Attic item by Glam Affair, this is one of three available at the event. This is a special Christmas edition of the Renee skin, and I just love the luscious red lips, with the light eyes and blush cheeks, it is a great mix of naughty and nice, so you will make both lists this year.

The poses I am using for this post are by Adorkable, and they are part of an upcoming set that will be available at the Zodiac event. This session, without looking should be Capricorn – friends birthday –  and the set being called Moody makes me laugh so hard. I kind of want to see a second set called Tantrum *fingers crossed* because if anyone can do it, Adorkable Can ♥

If you see me at ground level, say hi, I usually always do.

My Attic @ The Deck is doing its next session starting tomorrow, so I have been buzzing around, and decided to step back and get some much needed blogging done.

I love winter fashion, and with the theme of this months Collabor88 taking that to delicious heights, I am even more so. With it being summer down here though, it can be very hard to watch yourself in layers, while the fan is trying to stop you from melting. While I have only been sledding once, and by once, I actually mean one time once, one go down the hill and that was enough for me – we wont even mention that the hill was about 5ft high, I am way too girly and accident prone for such daredevil feats. But a sled such as this one by Cheeky Pea @ Collabor88, was definitely a must have wall adornment, and you  never know, I may just take it for a spin in SL where I can’t hurt myself. It actually has a vehicle script inside of it, with some charming animations, so make sure you get some for fun with friends.

The other item in my scene – also from collabor88, is the corduroy club chair by Trompe Loeil. There are so many things to love about corduroy, and when the fabric is used as home decor, it is definitely all win. It is such a sturdy fabric, but really has a softness, and comfortable feeling to it, the more you use it the better it gets. The chair is available in many great colours, and there is also a matching love seat – two seater sofa – to be picked up also.

Yesterday I was all over the place, running to and fro. The first trip was with Anessa, we went to get her a new AO, and I took her over to MrSigmunds…and of course ended up buying five new ones for myself, as well as some pose sets. Then later on that day, I ran over there with Siddean and Whimsy. The poses I am using are from that spree, and I always unpack my AO’s and throw them in my VR Studio as well, they always make for such great pics when you slow your animations – Develop Menu > Avatar > Slow Motion Animations.

Other great items from Collabor88 are the jewellery pieces I am wearing by Yummy. There is an oversized ring that is just gorgeous, I did have to swap hand attachments though, but it was easy. A necklace and earrings (not shown) complete the set, and they are available in three different metal types. The clothing is the collar dress by Fashionably Dead, and I just adore the buttons, which work really well at matching the amazing spat boots by Schadenfreude.

The Leith boot goes all out, not only do you get them with a HUD that allows for all sorts of customisation to the 5 colours, but you also get the spats as a separate option, the shoes as a separate option, and mens sizes. This is called knowing your customer base, and I really love that she has the mens sizes, because if a man can’t wear fabulous thigh high boots in Second Life, what the hell is the point.

The hair I am wearing is one of the recent releases by Exile, this hair is a hat/hair combination, and for those that have read my blog at all over the years, know that this is my love love. I adore hat/hair because when done right, it is just wonderful to wear. This is of course one of three, and the beret is texture change, and just so adorable a look, especially with the outfit combination I think.

Lastly, the skin. Now before I go into detail, the Glance store just this morning removed their 1L demo pricing, so if you have been hesitating in the past, get on over there – I know many have a thing about that. The Lana skin is just beautiful, the nose is my favourite part of the skin, the way its shaded, the highlights, the detailing all just works great on my shape. The mouth is also fabulous, and it comes in three tones, with brow options – there is actually a red brow that perfectly matched this hair, but as I so obviously dye my SL hair, I kept to the dark brows. Cleavage options, as well as no brows, so you can wear your own brow tattoos, and there are eyeshadow, lipgloss and matte lips to buy as add on packs. So Demo Demo Demo everything.

    Angels – Together for Sway

    TFS - Event Poster

I have a new friend, and she is beautiful. With the festivities just around the corner, having an Angel beside me is just a wonderful way to spend time. There is an amazing community event going on at the moment, it is called Together for Sway. I do not know her personally, I have only admired her creativity, and giving nature from the sidelines, as many residents I am sure have over the years. The Angel is actually one of her creations that is at the event, and right at the landing point, so make sure you grab yourself some, or gift some to others, they are just adorable.

Sway is not well, and with the help of incredible people who organised this event, she is going to get a wonderful gift to end off the year. People have rallied around to donate 100% of their sales, with items old and new all in one location. The money will go towards the many bills that can pile up when people are not well, and this community spirit is just another of the hundreds of reasons we are lucky to have Second Life.

Whimsy and I have even made an item for the event, and while it is donating, we have it set out at 50% off the price it will be when it goes to the store. This will hopefully entice people to buy it now and help us help Sway. I will put a pic of the Carova Retreat set at the bottom of the post so you can see it. The other two girls in the ad are Bela Tolsen – Tutti Frutti and SySy Chapman, who also have items out at the event.  They were very patient while I was having technical difficulties.

Now before I go into the fashion, I need to talk about the hair. The last post I did I showed one of the new LeLutka hairstyles based on Fairy Tales. This style today is a mix of a new and an older themed style. But this is very important…because the hair has been baked and the textures can vary style to style because of that, this may not work in the colours you wear. In the Jasmine which is the main part of the hair, the Rita, Marilyn and blacks are slightly different, so if those are colours you wear, this wont work for you. I do love them together though, it gives the style even more versatility, and it actually reminds me of Belle when she was just really casual at the Beasts house. It definitely still has that Fairy Tale quality even as a mix. The necklace I have on is a GIFT, this is so cool, because each of the four styles came with their own surprise gifts, and the Jasmine hair came with this necklace, a more intricate one and some earrings, all texture change.

Now onto the clothing. The Jacket I am wearing is the latest from Erratic, and not only do you get the open version which is very sexy, you also get the closed version. The jacket is stunning leather work and with the two options you can transition looks with ease. The draped front is really lovely, but I have to say, that even though not shown, the stitching at the back is divine…and as we all spend so much time looking at our backs, I am glad it is pretty back there.

Another event that is on at the moment is FROST. This event is part of Depraved Nations events, and at least one item per store is 50% off. The skirt I am wearing is from Fanatik, and it is such a cute mini skirt, and their leather skirts are always a good thing. The other fabulous item at Frost, are the NEW league boots Neve. These boots come in 12 glorious colours, and have a great hud that not only lets you change metals in four colours, the fur in five colours but also the heels in two colours. That means with all those changes you have boots for days. The soft leather looks fantastic with the fur cuff, and you really will have fun changing their looks to match your outfit. With all the brown and gold I had going on I wanted to add some colour, and of course Tutti Frutti never fails to add just that.

The leggings are system layered so they fit smoothly under mesh. The vivid colours and prints just add some great flavour to the look, and the highlights and shading are just marvelous. Adding an older henley by Fri.day in the same turquoise blue, and I am good to go.

The other day I used the Bounce This poses in my post, but I did not mention, because it was early, that they were also at Together For Sways. So while you are there check them out, they also come with mirrors and that just gives you more bang for your buck.

    From Russia with Love

    Liu

    Liu2

    Combat

    Tights

I have never had such a serious case of ‘what can go wrong, will go wrong’ in my blogging days, as I did today. It actually started last night, unable to save a picture, I was actually getting popups saying ‘Cannot save image’ which I don’t remember ever seeing in the past. Then relog after relog, and then I was a cloud. After all of that, I just went to sleep. Waking up today I knew at least I was dressed and ready to go, but again, the same cannot save issues. Relog, reinstall and retry, the three new R’s of my life. I decided though after all that to try with the alt I use for The Deck, and it saved…logged back in to main and voila, saved. It goes to show having an empty inventory account on the side is sometimes a benefit.

Then after all of that, I realised that I didn’t have my hands on…how did we ever cope without them I do not know, but ugh. So took new pics and then realised OMG I forgot to put my hands on AGAIN.  But I kept going, because I love this outfit I put together from some way old LeLutka items, and some new and exciting pieces from events. Also to bring attention to the amazing new hair by LeLutka based on Fairy Tales, which is their second foray into this treasure trove of inspiration. The Rapunzel hair is a beautiful long braided style that with the help of mesh and rigging, actually will move as you do…this is one of those things that really makes you so grateful that we have rigging and mesh now. The hair also has a special GIFT, each style in the new release actually came with special gifts, so make sure to look for them in the folders. The gift with Rapunzel is an adorable Chameleon shoulder pet, he has moving eyes and an up or down tail option with 5 great colours to choose from. The other great thing is that you can resize him and rez him in world so you can have little friends all over the place.

At first I was going to go all pretty and girly as the hair just brings out that mood, and then I remembered that I had the Liu skin by Glance that I had not yet blogged. So thinking of Miss Liu lead me to Charlies Angels and that lead me to Spy’s and that lead me to this look. The bolero and hat are older items from LeLutka, but so in keeping with the great wintery looks popping up all over the place. The bolero is definitely a favourite, and I hope that one day this is an inspiration to doing something similar in mesh, we definitely need more stoles, and bolero like looks to put over the top of mesh that won’t interfere with the movement of the main item.

The shirt I am wearing is by Nylon Outfitters, which is featured at this months Collabor88. The tee is beautiful, it is lace and backless, with the back being tied off in a beautiful ribbon tie look. The scalloped bottom is divine, and all in all a must have item that also has bra tops that go under but don’t go as far as the back – me thinks that Nylon spent the time to carefully sew them inside of the tee. Because the top is system layered and comes in great colours, this would also look divine underneath something, such as a corset or gown , something strapless perhaps with a low back to give it a boost, you will have to play around with that idea once you get the tops.

Another item I really liked the back of, as well as the front, is the Cross belt by LaGyo. This is actually their The Dressing Room Fusion item, and it is resizaable, I was going for a hip fit look, but when I resized it and moved it down, it had resized too much front and back, so it doesn’t really work that way too well, not on my shape anyway. But it looks great were it is intended to sit, and there are other metal colours available also.

The boots I am wearing are these very cool ankle boots by Monso. Monso has released them for Collabor88/December, and the great thing about them, is that they are available in Male and Female versions, so no one has to miss out. They are a great style, with great buckle and stitch detailing. They come in an assortment of colours, so be sure to try them for yourself.

Slipped inside of the boots are the great wool leggings from D.Select, part of the Deetalez brand. They have done a huge release of late, with leggings in wools as well as nylon and a good range of wintery themed prints. I am definitely all about the argyle ones, they are very cool also. I took some pics of the various colours and prints you can get, so check those out if you are looking for some wintery woolies.

The skin by Glance comes with brown and black brows, regular and big bust cleavage options (part of the skin) no brows as an option or thin brows…I am wearing the regular brows in my pics. There is also a tattoo layer for no freckles and no freckles shine, which gives a little more highlight to the face. Then the make up packs come with 10 shadows, 10 glossy lips and 10 matte lips options, so the combinations go into the hundreds if my math isn’t broken. I have done a few random eyes/lips to show you. So make sure you go over and DEMO DEMO DEMO, because if you are on the look out for an asian inspired skin, this one is a great place to start.
