Move Me
I don’t dress as “out there” as I used to in the past. I often costumed up, and did posts on more of the unusual items in Second Life. When I did get the chance to look at the recentish – last year is still recentish – Unfold collection from MiaMai that is all sorts of delish, I knew I wanted the chance to show at least some of it as soon as I got the chance. You often have to be in the mood for creations such as these, because forcing a post is never a good thing.
Tonight I was in the mood, and the combination of the all in one skirt, pants boots in mesh with the bandages top from Sn@tch was just too fun not to wear.
I have always wanted to see Monica Outlanders RL art on things, she is incredibly talented, and without actual verification, I am assuming the lovely doodle like drawings on the sides of this set are just that. Mind you, everything she does for Second Life is still RL art, but she has in the past shown drawings that just blew me away, I really would love to see them more often on clothes.
The little wing like details on these leggings, and the back of the heels are adorable. The skirt leggings footparts are all in one mesh, and they come in standard sizings. The waist part of the item is system, so you can have a lot of fun deciding what kind of top you will wear with it, or maybe no top at all. So if you haven’t been to see this collection that debuted last December, then definitely go take a journey through the imagination of Monica Outlander, it is a trip.
I am wearing the Harlow skin from Izzies again, this time showing the beautiful eyeshadows that come on tattoo layers with. There are also lipsticks, but I wanted you to see the shadows, because they really are beautiful.

Lay me back
The 1920’s was such a beautiful decade – in the movies at least – I don’t know how they were for the people experiencing them. Watching old movies, you had such a feeling of everything being so glamorous, especially for those that had money. It seemed like every single night, was a night spent entertaining or being entertained…dressing up and being escorted to fine establishments the normal way of doing things.
This new hair released by LeLutka had me knowing exactly what dress I was going to wear with it. The Lillian hairstyle has a stunning netted snood covering, that can be turned off or on using the drop down menu once the hair is clicked. It also has 8 different colours in the net, as well as beautiful teardrop pearls at the sides. The belt of the gown goes so well with the net, that I was excited to be able to finally wear it – I had been holding onto the gown from Baiastice for some time.
When I was doing the pics, I realised that even though I wanted to show how beautiful it looks from behind, and without the net…it needed more of a reason to show the back, so the idea of a girl of the 2013’s looking at a pic of a girl in the 1920’s was cool. I hope you agree.
The skin I am wearing is the latest Harlow Skin by Izzies, this is a lovely skin with the base skin and then make up layers on tattoos. There are brow, cleavage and freckle options. There is also currently a Group Gift of the Harlow skin in a redhead version if you join her group, there is a fee to join, but it is well worth the price for a new skin.
I used a second life stock images picture for the background, changing it up a bit in PS. The pic is HERE by Elle Kirshner, so thank you Elle.

You’re Magan me crazy
I am wearing Chloe again , the mesh head by LOGO. The reason being, is that the NEW Sadie head is about to hit the store this weekend, and I wanted to revisit Chloe before that. There are many wonderful NEW features coming, so stay tuned over the next week to see Sadie. I have to say with all this wonderful mesh on, taking pics and getting them prepared for a post is getting a lot faster, seeing as there is no need to really edit anything, more presentation than fixes.
The jacket I am featuring in this post is one of the recent releases by Maitreya. A big release last week. Stunning shoes, clothing and accessories all complimenting each other. Today though just the jacket from that release, as the other items are from Fanatik. The double breasted button down short coat style is wonderful, but my favourite part is definitely the sleeves. Their fullness gives you more wiggle room when it comes to fit, but it is definitely the style of them that really compliments the movement that mesh generally needs in that area.
The jacket comes in suede or wool, and because of the flared bottom and cinched waist style, you can wear it over just about everything that is slim fitting, and even in some cases fuller – I did actually try it over the Tee*fy flared skirt and it fit well. The hair I am wearing is actually also by Tee*fy creator Azure Electricteeth, for her other brand LaViere. The Natalia style is a recent Collabor88 item, and its straight style and gorgeous blunt bangs make it a must have, in my book anyway.
Fanatik has been working very hard to build up their store over the past months. With a brand new build, that you must go and see, as well as just creating wonderful mesh items, either to wear or to live or work in, they have it all and are getting very firmly placed as a go to for it all, kind of brand. The spiked heels come in 21 colours, and have a silver or gold spike texture change option. Incredibly high, and so many small spikes, these shoes definitely are attention grabbing. The other attention grabbers, are the leather leggings. They have a very nice derrière, and great colours available.
Lastly the other spiked item in the mix, is the bag from Glam Affair. This rivetted bag is so perfectly sized and comes in a great range of colours. It also has gold or silver rivet options and hand or arm hold, which makes it very wearable indeed.

It’s like thunder
First of all a big Happy Birthday to Kavar Cleanslate of Exile Hair. Thank you for your creativity, your style, your sense of humour and I hope you have a wonderful Birthday.
Starting from the feet up, these Grace sandals from Gos remind me so much of dancing that my first thought on seeing them was Jennifer Lopez. She did that dancing movie with Richard Gere that was just so cool. All the characters were strong and had a depth to them that made it a movie you can watch over and over again. So my first thought was a dancing dress, but then I saw these great pants from Baiastice, and they showed off enough of the leg and below to work really well, the fact that the gold buckle matched the gold shoes, didn’t hurt either.
The lovely sandals are part of the recently launched Boutique line of Gos shoes, and they have a new hud system that links to a website, so that you can sync your hud to the already matched up skins available, not all skins will be a perfect match every time, due to in world lighting and viewer settings there may be the need to slightly tweak some presets, but it definitely gives you a great starting point…you can probably find tones close to the ones you wear even if the skin you wear isn’t listed. Elysium Eilde did a wonderful video on it HERE .
The metallic textures and patents are realistic looking, and as I mentioned already look great when wearing other metallic like pieces. The Lima pants are so nice, with their almost jodhpurs like style, they sit just above the hips and are really comfortable yet dressy enough looking for day or night. The braided belt is also a fantastic feature.
The tops worn are also from Baiastice, some old and one new, the new top is a lovely camisole style with a lovely soft print, there are solid options available in other colours as well. The skin I am wearing is from Izzie’s and she recently released some great highlight tattoo layers for lips. These are must have items, as they can definitely add some punch to older skins, as well as turning what may only be available in matte, into a glossier look…all win.

It’s Like Lightning
I was clicking through the Second Life Stock Images Group on Flickr earlier today, and even though it was not the original plan for my pics, I decided to incorporate some into my post. I love how they turned out, and with a lot of playing with them, they are almost not recognisable from the originals.
Todays post is featuring lots of awesome. The first being the new Rayures pants by SySy’s. I love pinstripe and the name is pinstripe in french, ooh la la. Pinstripes are elegant and strong, and they have a classic quality, that in pants just creates a stunning balance. The fact that the pants are wide legged just makes them even more gorgeous to wear, and they even have flat and heels versions, so I can see these being go to pants for many girls on the go. My favourite part other than the pinstripe, is the dip at the front of the waistband, I think it just makes them even sexier.
The first item I paired them up with is this adorable leather jacket from MiaMai. With an oversized puffy collar, and huge button/brooch, it is really a fun look. The leather is really well done, and I really enjoy the contrast of the collar colour. The second top, is the stunning Second Hand Sweater by Epoque. We actually ran into Vintage while he was in the process of creating this sweater, and the finished product is divine. There are studded shoulders or plain versions included, and the drape of the sweater is perfect. I did have to size up for it to fit at the waist over the pants, but it didn’t look blocky in any way by doing so, so a double win right there.
Thirdly an older top by Mon Tissu, so that you could see the dip in the front of the pants, as the tank bares the mid riff well. It also gave me the oppurtunity of all that black to feature the Zoya headdress by Glam Affair that is just stunning, and worked so well with the make up of the skin I am wearing.
Now about the skin. Glam Affair and Dead Apples collaborated on the Amberly Petal skin to come out with these 10 incredible make up options. Each one of them is a stunner – I do wish there was an 11th though, that the teary came without the cut lip, but we cannot have everything. The Edward make up is fantastic, that one is worn in the second pic, I love that it is obviously based on the vamp himself, but us girls get a look in too…because the effect is wonderful. Whether into going all out on elaborate make ups, or not, give them demos a look at, because there are a few in there that could easily become firm favourites.

Making Space
One of the greatest things about Second Life is COPY…we don’t appreciate it enough. The reason that I am praising of the COPY is of course, the amount of time it can take to put a house together, and have it just the way you want it, but then something could happen, and all your hard work could just vanish. Sure sometimes it all just ends up in your lost and found folder, but we have all had experiences I am sure, where that has not been the case. I still think there is a bath somewhere floating around SL with my name on it.
When I was younger I had a tendency to be really badly edit challenged, like so bad that my friends used to have to go off in search of random items at death defying heights lol. If I was trying to move an item a metre, it would shoot off through the wall never to be seen again, that is the story of the bath, the worst part of that, is that it happened three times, and the third time was not the charm…gone forever. I shouldn’t say forever though, because about a month ago I suddenly had an item returned to me from lands unknown which I had not seen for nearly four years, so go figure.
Anyway, the reason I mention it, is that next time you finally put the finishing touches on a home, select the whole thing and “take copy” that is of course if all the pieces are COPY permissions, but if you have a few that aren’t as is the case in my home today, then just don’t select those parts…then once you have a copy of it, make a folder, and give it a name like ‘My Home – Jan 2013″ or whatever works best for you. That way you have a back up copy. This also helps if you like to put together little scenes out of bits and pieces you pick up, and then you have them ready and sorted for pics in the future.
The build I am featuring today is the new Lofty Skybox by Elate. It is an all mesh build and is a great refurbished factory looking build. It even has all the great beams and great brick walls. The windows are gorgeous, and size is perfect for a home or work space/studio, and the colours are greatly neutral, so decorating is a breeze.
It also has enough of its own feature pieces, I especially love the door, on the sliding rails, and the shelf next to it, so you have somewhere for your keys. Then the fire place area, and the really cool slatted wall feature. I couldn’t resist having some fun with it all as well. The arrow light near the door made me giggle at the sillyness of doing it. Then even though I think I would scare myself every single time, I could not resist the putting the adorable mannequin on the stairwell, because she is lighting the way up to bed, but again, I know for a fact every time I turn that corner my heart will stop. Both of the fun items are from Art Dummy, as are the wonderful art pieces in the living area, and that great chair.
The whole area reminded me a lot of a Romantic Comedy, yeah I have a vivid imagination for stuff like that…I can just see some girl getting ready to go out upstairs, and her guy climbing up the ladder to talk to her, because thats what guys do, right ? and then everything would always take ten times longer, because trying to get ready and not spend all the time giggling at your guy would be impossible. The ladder and wall art are part of the Four Walls Hunt, and was the What Next item, so cute and has poses included. The hunt is still on until the 31st and definitely worth doing, the items in it are fabulous.
The tubular deco living room furniture by POST is the Haarlem set, and honestly the detailing on this set is amazing. Doing that kind of detailing is no easy feat, and having the outcome look so strong and authentic is great, the whole set is a must have, even if there is smoking (blech) but then that was the times right, back then everyone did it – and yes yes I quit 3 years ago now :P.
Upstairs many of you will recognise the bed from Trompe Loeil, this canopy bed was a bed that was recently updated to have texture change options, rather than the one colour as previously released. This is a great thing, as I for one own over 13 complete bedding sets – I counted once because my friend said she had two and that was so odd to me, but different strokes for different folks. I also tinted the poplar version of the bed, so that the greyish wood was more black to go with all the black iron in the build. The textures on the bedding also work in three parts, so I used a different set for the runner, to add a punch of green to the look. So if you were unsure of committing to one bedding option in the past, but loved the bed, definitely go back and grab the new version.
Lastly the fashion. As I mentioned in the past, Tuli is back, and she has done new Helena skins, which are so pretty, and come with dimples versions, as well as cleavage options, and lipstick layers, so that you can mix and match a bunch of times. There are so many lipsticks, I did not shoot them all, but they also come with a gloss version of each colour, so you wont have any trouble finding a look that is right for the day or night.
The cute jacket was the inspiration for all the green. It is part of the Zodiac event for Jan/Feb, with the theme of Aquarius, DCNY went all hippie like with this embroidered denim jacket, that does also have a plain option which is great as you get more bang for your buck. There are all sorts of denims available, but this one worked the best with what I felt like wearing. Underneath I have on the new low neck tee from Izzies, these also have appliers that work with them, so if you are on the search for some basics for your breasts, this is definitely a need to grab item. It was also spot on for the Nikola pants from Celoe, I had to use my layers brain to make sure that the band of the pants was above the lower portion of the shirt, wearing shirt and underpants layers for the top, and pants for the bottom.
Lastly the hair I am wearing is by Elikatira, she is actually having a huge sale at the moment, as a lot of older styles will be discontinued, so stop what you are doing and join all the masses over there, the sim was full when I was there the other day, so push in as hard as you can, you don’t want to miss out, especially if you have lots of Alts that could use some fantastic hair.

Making my day
I woke up to the most awesome compliment today. Teshan2222 Wycliffe contacted me to let me know that Cajsa Lilliehook had chosen me as her favourite blogger for their Faculty Pics over at Style Academy Feed. It was the second time in 24 hours that Cajsa had honored me, the first was by creating her entire set – she DJ’s at The Velvet every Sunday morning – to start with the letter S. I had jokingly said the week before that she could do every letter, and of course that would mean lots of S’s. But to be chosen as one of her favourite bloggers, and the lovely reasons she gave, made me so proud and happy, so thank you so much Cajsa Lilliehook for making me very happy ♥ you can see what she said on the sidebar of the feed, and check out the other lovely bloggers and their picks.
Maitreya has done a huge release over the weekend. The inspiration was “Night Life” and the great items really do make getting ready for a night on the town, easy. I am featuring two of the leather items in the release, the beautiful Calgary clutch, which when I first saw it made me think of a sports car with racing stripes. I really like the insert of contrast leather that allows for a larger mix of colour to your outfit.
The second items are the wonderful leather skirts, they come in used, vivid and dark colour packs, and honestly it would be hard to settle for just one, they all have such great colours in them. I featured one from each pack, and there are other colours I cannot wait to wear in the future. You may notice I paired them all up with older tops, even though there was a top with the release, I wanted to go deeper into my inventory and pull out some lovely classic items. The turtleneck sweater by Celoe, is a beautiful options with the semi highwaisted style of the skirt. Then you have the Bastille top by Maitreya that I like a lot. It is a sculpted item, with the top portion of the top being system, so an easier to edit bottom portion to fit over the skirt. Then the Camden jacket that is open fronted, but was the perfect length to show off the great shading on the bottom of the skirt.
Other great leather items for this post, are the new Roxanne boots by Kitties Lair. The boots are over the knee length, with pointed toes and very high heels. The style has a small zipper insert on the side, that gives them a realistic look, with them needing that to allow your foot to be able to get to the foot of the boots. The leather is very well done, and if looking for some new thigh highs, you really need to demo these.
Zaara has been creating some amazing mesh Jewellery, the Atiriya sets are stunning. The gemstone work is so realistic it is truly amazing, they come in both silver and gold metal options, and the sets include earrings, necklace and bracelets, the necklace also comes with two attachment points for those that don’t like to use ADD all the time.
The two hairstyles worn are by Clawtooth, they are at this months Collabor88 and are really nice medium length styles.

Fine Lines
Being tall I love dress pants. So a good pair is always a blessing, such is the case with these new ones by MichaMi. Not only do they come in standard sizing, but also have heel and flat shoes versions, so that you don’t have pants hanging through the floor if you aren’t in the mood for heels. Mind you, with the new Amae sandals by Celoe, how would you ever not be in the mood for heels.
The other Michami item, is the beautiful peplum bustier, it has a lovely thing belt at the waist and really wonderful texture work, you will have to see for yourself when you demo it. This style suits wearing over many items, such as pants, or skirts, because of the peplum, it gives you more room to mix with other mesh.
Another great mesh items is the Laney jacket by Erratic, stunning tweed and leather in this blazer style, with really lovely detailing from the midsection down to the hemline. It also has really nice two tone looks, and will also look fantastic with either jeans, or even the leather pants from Erratic.
I decided to not go so bare with the bustier, and added the recent scarf from BOOM. This scarf is fabulous, as it not only comes with a HUD that has three different texture types for the bow, but there are additional huds you can purchase in many many colours, so you could just buy a black scarf and go all out with different coloured bows, or grab all sorts of colours and have a party.
The hairstyles are all by Ploom, and were part of their recent 12 days of hair. I really like these styles, because even though a little quirky, they still work really well with the tailored looks of the outfits.

Criss Cross will make you jump jump – Collabor88, Zodiac
First of all before I go into this post, and the fashion…I wanted to let you know about a blog that has returned. You may recognise the name Hybie Mynx, she blogs over at It’s Only Fashion. Now even if you don’t recall the name, if you read the blog, or peruse the feeds, you will definitely recognise her face. She has a look that melts my heart every time I see her. She has such an incredible face. She has brought back her blog Avatars in Motion. This is a location blog, and I cannot wait to start visiting the places shown. I will also add pics to Second Life Stock Images Flickr Group when I do, so that others can use them, if they want to.
The beautiful new mullet style skirt I am wearing is by Decoy, and will be featured at this months Zodiac/Aquarius event. The skirt has a lovely gradient effect to the fabric, as well as an all black version, so you definitely should get over there and get one or all. The colours it comes in, worked really well with the new fabric platforms by SLink. The platforms are another set of ‘Add On’ shoes that attach over the tops of the medium height mesh rigged feet that you can purchase separately.
The tops I am wearing are a mix of old and new, the old being from Whippet and Buck and Fri.day, the new is an Izzies long sleeve top that also comes with appliers for the Lola Tango breasts. If looking for some basic long sleeves in a great range of colours, these are definitely worth checking out.
The lovely necklaces I am wearing are by Gossamer Jewellery, and are at this months Collabor88, so if you haven’t stopped over there yet, make sure to do so, they both come in different versions of length and some combinations.

Fruityness – FaMESHed
I have so much love for the new Amae sandals by Celoe. Not only because the heels on them are killer sexy, but also because of the colours, and the options. Not only do they have 10 beautiful solid colours – I have to admit to you, I actually really like the purple even, and that is a huge thing – but also 8 gorgeous combination duo colours. The HUD also has three metal textures – Silver, Gold, Black – that allow you to change all the metal on the shoes, and it is amazing the difference that the metal change can make. I included pics of all colours and one colour with all the metals, so you could see. With the duos, I also changed the metals to the ones I liked best for my mood at the time.
The silver shines, the gold can enrich and even soften the look, and the black just gives them a funky strong look. I love it. I wanted to show different looks with them, because at first glance its RAWR, but then I realised in the biscotti, that they turned into a gladiator sandal look, which was awesome.
The first pic is to show off some fruityness, the citrus colours of the Zesty and Tang, come together in the one shoe. I love them as stand alone colours, but together, YUM! I was so lucky to be able to find the right yellow in this really cute lingerie set by Mon Cherie. All this bright citrus colouring also allowed me to pull out the Zenith colour in the Effect hair by LeLutka. I also pulled out the dividers from the Shaken WinxBox, tinted them for a brighter green and voila!
The second look is what really brought the boho look to mind. The skater dress from House of Fox is a hybrid mesh dress. With the top portion being system, and the skirt/belt portion being mesh. I really need to test the black with other things, because it makes me think that a lot of uppers could get a new lease on life, with this kind of skirt option. I am also wearing the new bag from Baiastice, which is a stunning mesh handbag that comes on hand or arm, and also has unscripted options, which often makes posing a lot easier.
The button back shirt, which is of course awesomely dress length, or maybe not exactly – but who wouldn’t want to wear it that way. The back has buttons all the way down and you will find it in a multitude of lovely colours at this months FaMESHed by Nyu. The dress colour I wore because the duo combination of Gogh and Cloud looked amazing with it. Then adding the knotted set of jewellery from Cae, just gave it a really elegant dinner date look.
The last look is more Baiastice, this time another FaMESHed item, with the suede Monique dress. This takes us more into the late night looks, with the lovely suede of the dress and the leather belted back and sideds. They come in all sorts of duo combinations, and by adding the black metal to the rosewood Amae sandals, it tied it all together perfectly.
