Popfuzz Bamboo the designer of Popfuzz Designs, recently took on a huge task to create her own skin line.

Well known for her ability to create clothing in as many colour combinations as possible, she has truly outdone herself this time. 615 skins in one humungous release, there are 7 caucasion tones, 2 Dark, Fae and Gold skins. All have incredible make-up choices and I have only been able to capture a few of them. In the first pic I am wearing Essential Golden in Tan , as soon as I saw this one I knew I had to have it, as we wear so much gold in SL that its so wonderful to have make up to match.

The second picture is the Dark Bronze Future set and this make up is superb, I couldn’t get over how appealing it was to have green lips. The eyes are also stunning and its a nice change to have such bold event style make-up on a beautiful natural skin tone.

The third picture is a lot softer in the lipstick and is the Pale tone in Sparkle set, very similar colours than the other sets but softer where the feature is predominantly the eyes, and some pinker rouge than the other skins, but probably more noticable as it is a pale tone.

Then in the next picture we have the Chocolate Essential skins, the shading around the eyes is just lovely and the tone is a rich mocha blend.
Lastly is the Tan Smokey set and again the eyes are the attraction but who can get past those sensational lips. The mouth on all these is just superb and the facial structure and detailing to the skin over all is wonderful.

***VERY IMPORTANT***
If you read nothing else in all my post this is truly important. I was taking pics for todays post and in the middle of it started a conversation with Popfuzz about her skins. I had been trying to head over since the release and been really busy with work etc, so I asked her to send me the DEMOS .

I stopped what I was taking pics of and started trying them on to be suprised that they didn’t look good on me at all. I waited for rez, even rebaked and yet it was just a bit too much face and bits around the nose, what I mean by too much face is that it was like I had no contours to my face at all- this was not saying it didnt look like a really good skin it just wasnt’ME’.

BUT I loved the make up on one in particular, so in keeping with Popfuzzes incredible release offer- I will tell you about that soon- I purchased one, and as it was going to be the right colours for my shoot I put it on without DEMO written all over the face. Then I gasped, the skin I had on now was completely different to the ones I had tried on, and I had tried on at least 8 in different tones and make-ups.
I completely freaked out and ran back to the demo folders and sure enough they now looked completely different too, the skin is incredible. Yes it seems odd that I would proceed with my purchase even though it wasn’t my look, but when you take alot of pictures its more about the make up and from afar in the right theme it would have still been great it just wasnt ‘ME’.

Thing was it was ‘Me’ they are ‘Me’, it was SL being an uber stinker bum, I was really upset also that this must happen to people all the time when choosing skins, SL has one of those days when things look to be rezzed and then suddenly you’re super duper rezzed. So why is this so important ? The reason is that skin buying for many is a big step, it is a financial decision as well as a looks one and there are so many skins out there, more so than when most of us bought our biggest skin purchase, you remember when you went from the one after, the one you got after you were new lol.

So as usual I always say DEMO DEMO DEMO, but today I am going to say, grab as many DEMOS as you can, go home get naked or in a bikini somewhere-take off those damm face lights- and look at the skin from every angle in all sun/moon settings. REBAKE (Ctrl> Alt>R ) and then wait, then don’t do anything for a day. Then next day try them all on again, even ones you thought weren’t ‘You” because SL just may have let you down in that department the day before.

Ok now to the ***VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT***

The beautiful hair I am wearing in the skin pictures is by Gurl 6 and is called Juliet, I adore this hair so much- I nearly broke a leg trying to get to it when it was released.

Now to share some more absolutely divine items with you. Ookami Ningen owned by Zorena Deckard is a store full of imaginative clothing, in the past I have blogged items from there and usualy there is some significance to her creations, what I have come to realise is that Zorena is very passionate about culture as in the Arts, Music, Literature they all have a place in her creations.

Her latest release started as the Dying Swan and ended up with both Dying Swan and Dancing Swan. I was intrigued by this as I had the pleasure of TP’ing around last week with Zorena and Vivianne while Zorena was in her Dying Swan creation, which was something she was inpired to make for herself and with much prodding decided to release it-thank goodness.

The beautiful creation was inspired by the Ballet Piece the Dying Swan and I did some googling and its a beautiful piece first performed by Anna Pavlova. I also found a YouTube interpretation of it by another ballerina and the sound is awful but you can see how this would inspire 4 such lovely sets by Zorena, and yes due to popular demand already the Nocturne sets have been added.

The first is Dancing Swan, all white corset style top with beautiful feather/fur detailing across the top of the bodice and the incredible upper arms. It just floats as you move its gorgeous. I actualy opted for a different contrast skin for this picture, wearing the wonderful Demoness skins by Teagan Blackthorne of S.Y.D. There are a selection of make up variations and unfortunatly my face pics didnt turn out so I will have to show you those another time, but if deep red skin is your thing then these are the ones to look closer at, the red is so rich its wonderful.

The hair style in this pic and the next is the Mollie Uppy-do by Here Comes Trouble and I love how Babyboo managed to realy twist the front of the hair into the pile of curls at the top, you really need to try on the DEMO to see what I mean. I wanted some pearls and elegant Jewelry to go with this look and I found the lovely Queen of Pearls Platinum set by Becks fine Jewelers in my inventory and it was perfect. Beautiful single strand choker and drop earrings, with bracelet and ring.

The reason I am barefoot in the pics is because I have two kinds of ballet shoes in my inventory, slippers that really didnt work and fetish *grins* and the white Eve boots though they looked fab on, didn’t suit the incredible poses by Gorgeous of Juicy. But I did get the wear my black ones with the Nocturne sets-pokes my tongue out at Whimsy.

This is the Dying Swan set and when Zorena and I were talking I told her I cant do blood lol, well it seems I can if I have fun with it, so searched my inventory and low and behold I actualy own an arrow-would have been more fun had it had a heart attached lol.
But again you see the real attention that Zorena gave creating this set for those that can do one or the other or both :o).

Now on to the Dying and Dancing Swan Nocturne sets and I do so love black ballet outfits, the beauty of both the white and black is so obvious and the pieces are easily convertable, just think about adding your favourite long gown skirt and creating a totaly different gown.

As the Nocturne sets are a bit darker I opted for an old favourite hair wise, also from Gurl 6 called Gail, this is my I’m a rebel hair lol I used to wear this all the time when having one of those ‘I’m Tuff’ days lol.

This is also where the Fetish Ballet shoes came in as they aren’t past the ankles so the poses still worked really well. They are the DXD Ballet Heels from the Dominatrix shop a really beautiful store lol so much so that when looking in search I just wanted to go there because of the pretty picture of the build-it turns out its a Relic prefab so that makes all sorts of sense why it was so breathtaking- but ended up having the exact items I was looking for :oP -pokes it out at Whimsy again.

Dying Swan Nocturne also has the same blood detailing as the white but I did tend to get carried away with the poses and wanted to of course show off the magnificent Carmine wings by Material Squirrel, which ended up being a perfect time to feature items from there as they have UPDATED THEIR WINGS!!

They have done a huge wing hud update and its up to you to go to their blog for all the info you need to get your wings updated to the latest versions, this will be a huge undertaking by Kala Bijoux so be gentle on her but as I and many people I know have wings from her store and are not in the group this is realy vital you know about it, and also the NEW UPDATE version will include an automated update so you never have to do anything again but accept the latest features YAY, how cool is that …MORE INFO HERE.

My brain hurts, I have spent hours trying to show you the NEW Laynie-Wear skins and they are truly fantastic, but in all my efforts to be tricky in how I will present them, every single option blew up in my face*sobs*.
30 pictures loaded on some free server thing only to do god knows what with god knows who. I am at the end of my rope, and so I have to apologise to Laynie because I give up for now. But I do still want to share the other pics I took of her incredible tintable Cami tops that I have had for a while now and are fabulous.

You know those days when you just need the perfect layering option, or just want to pretty up a pair of pants without flashing your middle section, well Laynie was having those issues too and came up with the 6 beautiful tintable Cami tops that are on all layers possible to give you the option to layer however you may need, and also to add coverage to your favourite hipsters on those days you just dont feel like letting it all hang out.

I want to also point out I am actualy wearing two of the skins in these pics, both of which have grey/silver make-up and are beautifuly modded skins, using the Eloh Eliot templates.
If you click on the pics to go supersize you should be able to see that Laynie has done a large amount of work to them, especialy to the mouth.

Laynie also assures me that she did a lot of work in the more private areas of the skin also, and will be setting out Demos in her store later today.

The skins are 175L each and the make up options are ranging from soft and feminine to dramatic eyes and big lush lips. Laynie is looking forward to adding more to the range in the future and I can’t wait, because so far I am in love with all of them- I even like the purple ones lol .

In the first picture with 5 of the 6 Laynie-Wear Tintable Cami tops I am wearing another great pair of pants from Last Call, for the Go to Girl set , and again if you haven’t been yet to do one last run through,time is running out. The first pics are of course wearing the jacket layer, so then I decided to try and see where I could go with the layers options Laynie provides.

There has been alot of talk about mid coverage lately and Pixeldolls is another store that came to the aid of girls that don’t want to or can’t always expose that much stomach.

When the Belts by Pixeldolls came out I like everyone went running to grab and tonight when I ventured over there I found that they had actualy added more colour options. By the time I did the math and the fact they are having a new items SALE at the moment I ended up buying the fat pack which means, Yes I have bought the same 4 belts twice lol, but I did save money I swear.

So putting on the beautiful 6th Cami top by Laynie-Wear and then adding the Rumple Shrug in Charcoal also from Pixeldolls , I found a pair of pants I wanted to cover up lol and added the knit jacket belt in black, and Voila a layered look you can be most proud of.

The fun thing about all the layer options by both incredible designers is that you could layer in about 3 different ways to get the same look. The pants are the Ingrid set pants by Last Call, and I actualy did have to go the highwaisted option because even the belts didn’t go low enough down, but the belts do vary and they can definitely spruce up some older style pants you dont really get much wear out of anymore.

Its funny when you wear cuffed pants how you still want to go all out on the shoes, it’s knowing yourself how fabulous your footwear is that matters, right!. So I pulled out the latest creation by Enktan Gully which are the Enkythings Gyala shoes in Grey, and like all his shoes there are different sole options and a huge selection of colours.
The mix of prim and sculptie works a treat on this modern take on the classic clog, the shine to the shoe itself is gorgeous with the contrast heel/sole and the rivets along the side and the beautiful little detailing at the front, it all works and is perfect for a day out and about. With pants or skirts these shoes are YUMMY!.

Keep your eyes open for more skins from Laynie-Wear and I will try and show you the ones I took soon, also encourage her to make more Cami tops like these ones, they realy are fantastic Halter neck style tops that just add so much to your inventory. Also don’t forget Last Call and Pixeldolls for their SALES- if the Last Call one is over, my apologies.

Some of you who are on my friends list may remember a few weeks back me screaming about how Feri Beckenbauer had sexed me up in the sky. Yes that is exactly the kind of crazyness that my friends have to endure on a regular basis.

Some of you already know that Feri is a designer/creator behind Beckenbauer Productions a store that started out with the Doc Marten styled boots, and has grown from there to include all sorts of items; ranging from boots to samurai armor and of course some incredible goth/punk/sci-fi themed sets also.

Perish is the set that he sent me and I was instantly drooling over its mix of science fiction meets classic film-has anyone else noticed that in many big movies with a sci-fi theme there is always some vintage looks going on?. Feri was very proud of his ability to tackle feathers for this creation and I am very impressed also, the style of the jacket is just divine, it’s slimming texture and leathery highlights just make it delish.

The pants took a while to work out as I was clicking all ready to go into edit and then realised the man is an angel- I already knew this but shhhh don’t say I said so. He has taken the resizing hard work out of what is the thigh hugging prims, and made them texture for the most part and then the prims on the side for a more natural look. So for something at first glance that looks like some work may be needed for a slim fit is not the case at all YAY!.

Pictured with the Perish creation is the Apoca boots also by Feri that are incredibly chunky and totaly work with the sexy ensemble, but as he is a boot maker extraordinaire you have many styles to choose from in his store and in a variety of colours.

In keeping with my future/past look I opted for one of the Newish Seductive Glow Skins by Digital Dragon Designs designer Zoey Pinkdot-dont you just wish you started SL when that last name was available- that was another crazy day of conferencing to group. Zoey has created a huge assortment of make-ups in this collection and I am wearing the Marilyn (smokey) and its just beautiful.
The make up is sultry and effective, and there are wonderful themes throughout the collection; Drama being one of them lol. I really love the skintone and the shading around the cheekbones giving real structure to the face shape overall, and you cant beat the subtle beauty mark that just enhances the whole vintagey feel.

Now it was time for hair and who better than the original Rock-a-billy Godess herself Antonia Marat of Artilleri -who for people like me who love the vintage look weeped when we finaly found her store. The hair shown in two of the pics is Sarah Jane and its perfect for this look and the colour red is YUMMY! so much so that its a perfect match to the beautiful red lips in the Marilyn make-up.

All in all the combo to me was perfect but I couldnt stop there. I knew from the minute I saw the top of this set that the grey and black combo I would love to mix and match, so I did. A simple pants change to the Editorial Pants from the Editorial Set by Last Call that I think you can still get the outfit for only 100L and the pants alone are worth that, stunning pinstripe with prim cuffs to die for, and of course the incredible detailing that Last Call is renowned for.

The grey in the pants and the jacket work in perfect harmony with each other and the feathery collar just enhances that vintage Chic business look, I decided this was the Perish Diva look so of course what better shoes than the Diva Heels by Tesla, I loved these shoes instantly, they are so different than the norm; but again so proper vintage looking, they are more shoes that have that discipline look thing going on, and thats just sexy.

I wanted to see what other looks I could come up with, and I have a large variety of grey/charcoal in my inventory but wanted something a bit more feminine. I went again to my Devilish Cupcake folder remembering a skirt pack I picked up there the same time as I bought the Merry Dress and Voila! the Claire skirt was the perfect option .
Now while I was typing all this I got an IM from Abby Coalcliff of Devilish Cupcake and she told me that her Main Store has been rebuilt, which most of you probably already know.

The new link is the new slurl, and she let me also know that her store is now a Mosque that inside is an 80’s themed Roller Rink-omg could you ask for more Funna!.
Also that right now as you read and I type-ok thats not right because until I finish typing you cant read, but anywho- she is in the process of making rollerskating outfits for men and women so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for those.

So back to my Perish Prep look, Claire Skirt as stated again looked fabulous with the Perish Jacket from Beckenbauer Productions, then I went diving for softer looking hair but the same general theme, so back to Artilleri Hair folder and mmmyummy Mariya – I fell in all sorts of love with this at hair fair-decided that Antonia had more goodies I needed and found the stunning Black Silk Scarf and Gladys Glasses in Black to finish off the look, of course swapping the feather collar from Perish with the scarf, and as the jacket has a lovely neckline anyway you can even go without-I was just having too much fun *grins*.

The Essentia Black Tipped Grey Hair Rose of course went with all three looks and is one I wear probably the most often, and even though I could have changed make up a dozen times from the stunning assortment Digital Dragon Designs has, I will leave that up to you to do ;o) DEMOS DEMOS DEMOS!.

***What I learned today, CTRL-ALT-F5 gets rid of foot shadows for pic taking***

Today at 1pm SLT was the long awaited re-Grand Opening of ‘Fleur’ formerly known as Tete a Pied for all those skin fans that have been living under a rock the past 2 weeks.

Now the reason I say ‘Re’ is because a month ago the long awaited; Grand Opening of ‘Tete a Pied’ had us all enthralled by the incredible vision that was the romantic train station.

I myself found it difficult to navigate through the beautiful train, for the fabulous prizes of that day. But every romantic bone in my body was tingling.

Was I or anyone else disappointed today though when seeing this incredible NEW build by CJ Carnot and Roslin Petion the wonderful Duo behind Fleur, NO!

Landing at this incredible build, I was instantly taken in by its charm, it had such an old movie feel about it; that is regularly a theme when dealing with Roslin and C.J. Casino Royale was the theme of this gathering and I felt totaly encased in an old Bob Hope/Gene Kelly atmosphere. Roslin looked Divine and C.J ever so dapper in his white jacket tuxedo. Unfortunatly I wasn’t able to get pictures at the time, but felt it was important to zoom back later in the night and take some snaps.

Wearing of course what I wore to the event, the guests came out in full finery and hopefully someone more adept took some pics that will appear somewhere, Nicky Ree who is now nestled alongside Fleur was there with her partner Beam and he was adorable entertainment for the event. C.J had scripted an incredible Roulette wheel- NO Gambling took place it was pick a number win win win-and everyone enjoyed the catching up with people they haven’t seen for a while, or only saw an hour before somewhere else lol-love SL.

Now I was blessed to be joined at the event by my partner Mel, who always looks sooo handsome no matter what he is wearing. When I was waiting for him to return tonight I started taking some pics of my outfit…….he signed in and next thing I know he was jumping up and down in my sphere *giggles* ‘What are you doing?’ I asked, to be answered ” I want to be in the picture too”-he is too adorable.
So about our outfits, One day I was doing some work at home and a drop down from fash con appeared, it was by Devilish Cupcake designer Abby Coalcliff, now this was at the end of last year, and yet this notice stayed in my head well into the New Year.

The notice was for the Merry Shorty Dresses & Opera Gown, and as soon as I saw the pic I was in LOVE!. As much as I work in SL there are items I see and pine over and often don’t torture myself with because of the lack of events to wear them to…..Mel has changed that, so as soon as we started seeing eachother I raced over to get the dress with the knowledge that I was going to be able to wear it one day.

The other reason I coveted it, was that it reminded me so much of gowns my mum used to wear in the 70’s, she had the yummiest wardrobe, and to this day I still whimper that it all got given away when I was too young to say NOOOOOOOOOO!. I wore the Opera Gown to the Fleur event but wanted you to see what you get in the set as a whole, as you get both long and short dress with pants on both layers for each option. I loved being able to have such a open area to show off my Casablanca set by Essentia, which is the incredible necklace and earrings that Fiachra Lach created especially for me so that I would have something to wear for more formal events,and totaly suited the Casino Royale theme. It comes in Gold and Silver versions, then adding the Silver Hair Rose also by Essentia was of course the next step to getting ready.

I love silver so much so it was a no brainer which one to get, but one day I may add to it as all of the colours are stunning. I knew immediately what skin I would wear with it and it wasnt just based on the fact that I was attending the creators event, but because I absolutely adore the silver make-up of the Vivant-Glam skin by Fleur . I remember a long time ago IM’ing Roslin saying ‘You need silver make-up” only to be patiently reminded that Glam has silver make up :P- she loves me I knows it-truth is I had the Glam demos and hadn’t gotten past number one as it was so lush, again I knew at the time I wouldn’t get the chance to really show it off; but zoomed right over to get the pack after that convo and have actualy worn it alot since.

Even though the eye make-up is very dramatic and so sexy, the softness of the rose pink lips gives it a sensual look that carries over into all sorts of looks. I did however get corny and put on the Roslin hair by ETD in old textures Black, which is a lovely style-but I did only buy it because it was called Roslin- and suited this dress perfectly.

What also suited the dress perfectly is the shoes, giggles* which I bought seconds before the event, and had only the night before strutted around our house in the demos telling Mel I was definitely going to get them soon, and soon was today. They are the Armidi–Gisaci-Vidalia pumps in Silver, and are just beautiful-and I promise to take a better pic of them soon… ( ok seriously I felt really bad and thought hmmm I’ll google them and find a better pic, but half an hour later I realise I could just jump in world and take one, so wait a few minutes, I’ll be right back).

Ok back, phew. So these are the yummy shoes I tp’d over to get this afternoon minutes before the event, and the texture was a perfect match to the Merry Dress Opera Gown.

So a while back I saw a tutorial somewhere on using the liquify tool to round out images for second life avatars, and yes possibly some designers use it to make their items look more appealing for vendor pics. But anyway to me its a fun way of rounding out the pointy ankles and I probably will never remember to use it again lol but today I did- and didn’t do too bad, if I do say so myself.

Now lets talk about my hunky man for a bit, we as I have said a few times already, have been to Armidi alot lately it seems, and so has everyone else on the grid *BEGS the Armidi team to make their stores more open*-I have spent so much time in naughty corners I’m starting to get a complex.

I wanted so bad to treat Mel to some goodies as he spoils me rotten, and the suits there are just YUMMY! So the other night I treated him to a few things and one of them was the Gisaci Italian Suit-Chocolate-he loves brown- So today he also got a chance to show off his New suit and looked mmmmmmmyummy, wearing it with his ShinyThings City Walk shoes in brown-wants Fallingwater to make those deep brown too now lol- and his messy and hella hot hair called Gabriel by Naughty Designs – it’s so perfectly messy I just want to mess it up more.

Finishing his look or perfecting it is his skin by Minnu Model Skins, MMS-sk-h-chx-
fullG which is Minnu speak for Sexy Man with full Goatie or is it Thora speak? me thinks Thora :o) .

On that note I wanted to share another video clip that the incredible team of MMSkins made for the Male skin release that I hadnt seen until last night

and again shows how incredible every step they both take to produce product is so detailed and orchestrated to provide us with sensory overload, it’s wonderful.
