The long anticipated opening of MonTissu is just over the horizon, it will be open this Saturday officially, but if you have been chomping at the bit to see the new location for Lamb, Tres Blah, Mon Tissu and Turnip then Lula is where you want to go. Turnip Sorbet has been working on the build for the past few months, and it has been well worth the wait. The style of stores are just charming I wish there were more of them to explore, the landscaping is some of the best I have ever seen, this is not just a commercial sim, this is a destination.Earlier today a few dozen fans got the chance to have morning tea with the owners of Mon Tissu and special guests Lamb and Turnip. Lamb has already opened her store with the new rlelease of her hair Wild Nothing, which I am wearing in the post. Tres Blah also released a new skin, but I am wearing an older one from the blur event of a few months back. I am also wearing some of the tops that are due for release, the So Boho top I have been coveting for weeks now, the style is superb, old vintage handcrafts made into something so wearable and chic, the Joli beaded tunic is a divine cleavage enhancement without being too out there. Both tops are created by the two owners of Mon Tissu and truly show their talents.There is a lengthener skirt base to the So Boho top, but I loved the finish it had without as well.
I was watching an old tv show earlier, and the main girl was wearing some great gaucho pants. I have a few pairs in SL but was thinking that some of my favourite pants might be convertible, and sure enough with mod and copy as an option I was able to shorten and edit the prims, and voila, my Fri.day trousers are now gauchos…I even flared out the pants layer, so they weren’t a tight fit, yay for mod clothing.
Whmsy and I were fortunate to be invited to the preview of Osakki’s new mainstore opening the other night. Not a huge collection but a great start, and such a great array of mix and matchables. The leggings I have on were part of that release, and if you are a leggings/tights fan, then you best get on over there. The leggings and most of the clothing is so 80’s reminiscent for me, so I had to go there, with my leg warmers and armwarmers I could totally audition for my leading role dance number, after I get the man and of course have fabulous hair all the way through.
In both pics the shoes are new, the first set being the latest slouch boots from Gos, so many options, with metals changing and the leather option of the boot, or the straps and wood/sole base, its all interchangable. These worked out really well with my pants, and with the tops of them being not so tight, they are great for tucked in pants for winter weeks to come. The flats are adorable and from SLink, these are June shoes and are available at the Albero event that starts today…so many things start today, it is funny how often stuff starts same time as other stuff, I wish the lindens would make some sort of google calender and we would all put in dates and lock them in, would be so much easier on everyone. It is one of those collective conscience things I guess, it freaks me out how often we talk about something amongst a small group and then others end up doing same…Whimsy thinks we are bugged lol.
Anyway the event is a gifting one, were whatever you buy is transfer so you can do some incredible Christmas shopping in advance, and everything is supposed to be priced under a USD Linden equivelant, which is nice for the budgeters. So deprim and have a wander over there too, if you haven’t seen the Anya Ohmai pig snowglobes you haven’t lived and they are at the festival too and OMG so cute

Moxie Ladies
Good news from Cajsa yesterday, she rang me on Skype and her, Whimsy and I nattered for a while. We also got to say hi to her nurse who must have thought we were crazy. I am so glad she is better, and on the road to recovery, she is an amazing woman.
It can be great fun using group poses as one person, with the right tools such as my VR Studio HUD, I am able to lock position and go for it with ease. Then of course there is the work afterwards, that can sometimes be tricky -Â reminds self to do a tutorial on that one day.
Todays poseset is from JE Republic who is actually having a huge sale at the moment, and I picked up their two posesets like this one for a crazy low price. There are also hunt items laying about the store, for 0 and 1L if you are looking for something to do. The poseset worked out wonderfully well for the much anticipated release of Moxie.
These are the latest Maitreya Gold shoes, just released in the last few hours, and they are stunners. Platform wedges with socks, either scrunched or thigh highs, you get both options with the shoes, in either basic leathers or patents. I am showing the patents today and they are LUSH. The colours are just divine, and the yellow is OMG YUM. You can wear them demurely or go all out with the loud colour contrasts, I love that option.
The clothing I am wearing is mainly from Luck Inc, some more of the underwear and corsets, so much fun, I have been traveling all over the place in my undies this week, and with items this glorious, don’t be surprised if you see me still in them. I was feeling some Lamb love hair wise today, so that is all the styles shown. It was fun revisiting older styles, and reminding Whimsy of one of her past favs.
The skin is of course Natasha, that also got released today, the skin by LeLutka is just beautiful and as stated before comes in 4 tones with blonde hair base, cleavage option and 8 make ups total, which includes the base skin. Make sure you try on the demo, because this is such a beautiful and softer than usual skin from LeLutka, it is sure to turn your head.

Let them eat Cake featuring Violet Voltaire, Pink Fuel, Magika, Lamb, Tesla
So a few days ago, or maybe a week? a conference call was placed stating that Violet Voltaire was closing up shop. This made me nostalgic, because I remember way way back in the day when Violet used to blog on Closet Crisis. You see Hethr was the pink girl, and Violet of course was the purple girl…well that’s how I used to think of them both :).
When stores close in Second Life, for me I worry, I worry about many things…but mainly I stress about our history. So even though I was unable to rush right over, it has been sitting at the back of my mind ever since.
This morning I decided that I would be very upset if I missed out on scooping up some Violet history, so off I went to the Muse location. Now Violets items have never been pricey, but the prices at the moment are a steal.
Now apparently though since this news of her closing up shop, some of her friends have rallied around and insisted she keep some locations active, so you will not exactly miss out, but I still wanted to know that I have my little pieces of History all gathered at the time it is changing.
As much as you may think you don’t “need” a mini crown, or some cake jewelry, you will be surprised how often you do lol, so get on over to Violet Voltaire and snap up everything, the most expensive item I purchased was 50L the majority were 5L , so don’t miss out. The two items I am wearing are the Hethr Necklace – as it seemed appropriate :), and Their Cell Crown which is just fabulous.
Devilish Cupcake didn’t warn us, no Abby the brat just left for a bit, but she is back and guns are blazing- ok maybe not guns, but her PS has been kicking some bottom. The outfit I am wearing is called Story’s Street Trash, the set comes with different coloured shirts , I chose purple in honor of Violet, and the cute as punk tartan skirt with over the knee torn stockings. Very rebel schoolgirl for sure.
The hair I bought when out shopping with Whimsy Winx of Virtually Dressed, it was the day that ETD released their new hair, and I let Whimsy wear that as long as I could wear Bang Bang by Lamb. but then the sneaky one bought it too and tried to wear it LOL seriously it was a riot. This style comes with swept bangs and straight across, I am so in love with their black pack also as it has an incredible white blonde in it instead of white white, so I get more BangBang for my buck :P.
On another shopping trip with Whimsy I came across Pink Fuel’s location at Canimal, I love Pink Fuel items but in the past hadn’t seen the Lacey Black Heart eyepatch, this thing is so cute it has texture change, and I already had it set to be the crown, so it linked in perfectly with todays look.
Magika has recently released beautiful new Skins, this is the Night – Midnight, and the lips on this skin are just divine. The palish without being too pale tone is just perfect for the kind of looks you would want to create with Magika creations, so make sure you grab all the lush demos, the red in these lips are a MUST MUST MUST HAVE.
Wrapping up this look with the New Harvey Boots from Tesla , these are fantastic biker style boots, with the right amount of roughed up leather. They are definitely boys boots turned into girls, which I am always all for, it is fun to wear something that is usually worn with pants, with a mini skirt like this one, I have a love for clompy boots of this style, so these are a win.
