Yesterday I mentioned Ipernity, and I came across my first hiccup with it so far. I was unable to use the link to Plurk for just the image, where as with flickr and other services that is usually just a case of copying and pasting the URL. Whimsy has made a ticket to find out with them what the story is, she has a lot of tickets with them so far, she is so adorable. I actually opened up contact with them too about something, so I will keep you posted on what that is when/if I get a response. As I said, I am still using Flickr, never really intended to leave it, just have no issue uploading in two places…it’s just a new thing to do. Whimsy has made a ton of groups in there already, and people are joining and it could really be a great community as well. It is not like we all don’t have many places we spread our Second Lifeness around, this is just a new one.

Today I was playing around and discovered something interesting, YOU CAN GET YOUR OLD VIEW ON FLICKR BACK. This is not permanent, it does not stay each time you leave the page etc, but for those of you that want to see your own page in the old format and see everything at a glance, this is how.  On your own page, there is an edit menu, I circled it in the image, and when you press it PRESTO, there it is. Now what I don’t understand, is if this is a function hardcoded into their system, why can we not choose this as a setting preference ? Also if it is an option for our own page, why can we not make it something for all pages ? While I am so many degrees of separation from being a prude, again it is not a relaxing environment to open your Flickr MainPage and see the sites we are seeing now. While some will say, the pictures get more attention now being larger, I felt that contacts where large enough, as well as group pages, I have been able to see which images I have wanted to open and comment on easily for years, and always do so as much as I can. Anyway, for those that feel they want some breathing room, the edit option is a bit of a fix for that overwhelming page we have at the moment.

The Arcade as I mentioned yesterday is also about to open to the public, and many have already been in and are exclaiming how wonderful it all is. I have been blessed to be passed some items from the event, and had my only little Posh Picnic (Elate) tonight with my imaginary Rag doll Friends ( The Secret Store) – really it was just me using the VR Studio HUD – LOVE LOVE LOVE that – and taking pics of myself in these incredibly beautiful avatars in different locations on the same scene, and then layering them over each other and erasing the areas I didn’t need.

The Posh Picnic set is one of the great gatcha items for this event, and so cute an idea, as you can just collect as many of the pieces as you want/need. There are a few other foody themed items at the event I have seen, so all in all you will be spoiled for food choices for sure. The Ragdolls are just fantastic, and they have their very own AO that is just adorable, and I cannot imagine anyone not having fun dressed up this way, and can see a lot of the kiddies of SL playing with these for weeks to come.

Today was a huge day, first off I moved all of my Flickr Pics over to Ipernity, which is a photo site that Whimsy Winx found when things changed at Flickr. I have a 3 month account and will see how I like it in comparison to Flickr, but I will still post pictures to both locations, as I am part of so many groups and such on Flickr. It was really easy to transfer my pictures, and it also included all the tags, names, and information along with it…so that made things simple.

Then after that I released some New Nail Appliers for FLAIR. Eight new sets with lingerie and latex themes. I am wearing one of the latex sets in this post, because I am really loving the extra long nails. Then after that Sysy, Whimsy, Kavar and I went shopping. A trip to Mandala, then over to Tee*fy and lastly Kavar and I landed at C’est La Vie. There is a sub brand inside of it called ::K:: and I fell instantly in love with this jacket and shorts set. They come in either separates or the combination, and there are three types, denim, leather or this fabulous houndstooth. There is saving on buying the combination, and there are also jackets with an undertank included. I decided to wear this great tank from Somnia underneath it, and it looks great with just the shorts as well.

The reason we went to Tee*fy was because a few weeks ago they had these fantastic bangles as a flf item, but when I was about to run over there I got kidnapped by Mel, so really wanted to see if they were in the store for sale…yay they were and at only 100L for a great selection of colours for right and left hands. I hope Tee*fy does more accessories like this, because they are just so lovely to wear, and really nicely made.

I remembered that recently Ju had released some great boots called 91 boots, but I did not expect that they would be so perfect for this look. The shape, the leather, everything about them is spot on, they have the most incredible HUD I have ever seen, that if you buy the fat pack has all the colours options at the click of a button, but the really cool thing is that behind that glass the boot shown actually rotates and changes colour too…it really is stunning. The boots also have a half boot option so that you can fit them under pants, which just makes them a MUST HAVE!

Lastly The Arcade is about to unveil its next session and it is shaping up to be a HUGE event. It starts on the 1st of June, and this skin by Pink Fuel is going to be released with these lovely 10 make ups, the freckled version is adorable. Harley skin comes in Peach, and she has a beautiful face, and lovely make up options, I hope you get the ones you want when you play the Pink Fuel Gatcha.

One of the great things about mesh clothing, is we now have the ability to wear shorts in cuter, more stylish ways. These shorts by Tee*fy that are at Collabor88 this month are just adorable, the two tone colours, the edging on the bottoms, and the lovely bow tied waist…make them perfect shorts to wear whether casually, or with purpose. Because they are higher waisted, it was a bit tricky finding something to wear up top, but the other item at c88 by Tee*fy is this glorious blouse with the divine frilly detailing down the front.

I did also find some other mesh tops to wear with, but this lovely scarf from redgrave is rigged and because of that I couldn’t move it from the body…so I went with the system layer tank from erratic for underneath instead. As I said the scarf is really lovely, but I do wish that there was an unrigged option as well, it is nice to have scarves that will move with the body, but it does make it hard to layer, and if they size isn’t right you cannot edit or move around…so make sure you try a demo on accessories of this nature when you can.

Other items from Collabor88 are the great shoes from Ison, that come with a handy hud for changing skins, nails and size, as well as the beautiful earrings by Glam Affair. They are oversized and fabulous as statement jewellery, and work so well with the side shaved new style by LeLutka called Jada.

I have a slight obsession with pinstripe, I think it is a fantastic fabric, and just love what can be done with it now that we have mesh. In the past system layers would distort pinstripe that it often just was not a good look, but now we can revel in it. The NEW Portan bustier/corset top from SySy’s just hit the store, and it comes in many delicious colours. There are also amazing brights colours and the lemon will be my favourite especially with the upcoming sunnier SL days…while I freeze my buns off Down Under.

Every year I declare to myself I wont follow the seasons in SL that I will try and stick to my own, so that I can at least feel snuggly and warm, but there are always such beautiful creations released, there is no way that can ever happen. It is rough during our summer though, sweating and bundling up my avatar in snow boots and parkas lol. While summer in SL can fool me into feeling warmer, winters in SL just makes it hotter.

The other thing that makes me cranky about the seasons, BOOTS ARE NOT WINTER ONLY! I get so sad that we only get a new stream of boots in the wintery months, because I love boots all year round, just like soup. These boots are a recent release by RedMint and each version ( I am wearing No1) has a huge HUD full of colour options, for not only the base leather, but also the legwarmers and the ties around the tops of them, that makes them incredible versatile.

The other HUD item worn, is the previously blogged Cargo skirt by Miel, this skirt is a great hip hugging mini, and the belted military look is so much fun. The HUD allows for changing the base texture, the pockets and belt.

The skin I am wearing is the NEW Cleo skin by Glam Affair. The skin comes with 12 make ups and 1 base skin, as well as different brow colours and extra skin enhancements. I am loving the make ups on this release, especially 12 which is really attractive. Glam Affair now also have their Slink avatar enhanced appliers available for the hands and feet, so it brings everything together so nicely…also look out for the upcoming The Arcade event that also has a Glam Affair skin called Lulu as a Gatcha item.

The hair I am wearing was released this morning, and it is called Ellie. It has a shaved portion on the sides, with new hairbases that are included with the hair. The style is rigged and comes in 2 sizes which is awesome if you need the extra space in the chest area. There ar also special edition ROOTS packs, that have stronger roots in the reds and blondes and fades options.

To finish off the look I went with the recent Limited Bazaar item from Gossamer Jewellery, this is an Alice in Wonderland inspired necklace, and a very cute idea. I really like the length of the chains and the overall vibe of the piece.

This gown is a beautiful and daring piece of work. I love that while front on it looks mature and conservative, and then as you would walk away jaws would drop. The Lourdes gown by Indyra Originals is stunning in its velvet and luxurious fabric, and its curvy floor length shape. There is not a lot of use for gowns these days in my social life, but this is one of those impacting creations that I think everyone should have at their disposal, in case of an elegant emergency.

The bow clutch is from Boom and with the lovely soft bown in the hair from Wasabi pills it brought the look together well. I felt like darkening its appeal a little though, so added these lashes by Pin Me Down, that have little skulls dangling from one lash…very macabre.

The shoes I am wearing are Yvy by Kitties Lair, the shoes are really beautiful in design, and come with a handy HUD for changing colours and nails, as well as saving tints etc. The only downside is that they are rigged mesh, and the sizing is not complete standard sizing, so you may need to change your shape to have them fit well. I do not think this will be necessarily a big issue, but I do wish Unrigged and resizable was an option.

I was lucky enough this morning to get a sneak peak of the lovely NEW foot add on jewellery, by Adam n Eve creator Sachi Vixen. I personally think these will be wonderful presents for the women in your life, as they are very personal with the birthstones, and just really lovely to wear and show off your beautiful Slink Bare Feet. I will wear them again in the future for sure, and I am definitely going to be romping around the grid barefoot and jewelled up for sure.

Also NEW the Aria skins that I did a preview post on the other week, are now available in full release in the League store. The skins are beautiful with their full make up range, as well as appliers available for the feet, hands and breasts. They come in three tones, with the fatpack of all three tones available at a huge savings, so if you are on the look out for a darker skin in a few different tones, definitely check out the big pack as an option.

The shorts I am wearing are the tulip shorts by Mon Tissu, a recent release and they are so cute. They actually have a belted waist, but that is hidden at the waist because of the top worn. The slits at the front of the shorts are adorable, and they are just so easy to wear. The prints and fabric they come in are fun too. The top is the new Ingenue top, and I really like the peplum style of this top, I wish the belted waist was texture change, but we cannot have everything.

New Hair by Exile makes everyones day, and these three new styles are no exception, they are beautiful with their waves, and curls and their flicked back bangs, so much fun to wear, and with the new HUD system that Exile uses the streaks options are fabulous.

First off, a reminder that Hair Fair Bloggers Day Applications are now up and running…so HERE is the information post on that. Clouds are an amazing thing to watch, even in Second Life I find myself staring at them for a while just watching them move so beautifully across the sky. It gives us this feeling of reality in a virtual world, and the other day I liked the colours of the sky so much I grabbed a snapshot, that I ended up using as my background for todays post.

The pose pack that Flowey did for C88 is a wearable pack of poses, as in each prop moves you into the pose intended for it, and because the props are wearable you can edit them to fit better with your body. I still used my VR Studio to steady myself, so that I could also rotate and move myself into position for the photo.

The props and poses are adorable, and you should have a lot of fun creating lovely pics with them. The idea of floating on a cloud in the sky, kind of became a little more blissful than intended, with the wearing of a lingerie set from Rock me Amadeus. I really love the colour of this set, and it does also come with appliers as well as a peek a boo cup look (definitely not worn) but I do understand the concept and it is really well done.

It gave me also an opportunity to wear the skin appliers for the feet by Glam Affair that were recently released, now the feet only so far, and I cannot wait for the hands to come, but luckily with the nails add ons for regular hands also being available at Slink, I went with those instead.  The skin I am wearing is Margot a lovely Glam Affair skin, with beautiful make ups as well as a bare option, then also available are coloured brows and make ups as tattoo layers. I went with blue brows, because you don’t know that when you are cloud surfing you aren’t going to have blue hair now do you ? There is actually a lovely version of the Margot skin at C88 now, in other tones than the one I am wearing which is America. So demo demo demo those.

The hair is by Tee*fy at C88, and it comes with and without bangs options, I went with no bangs for the main pic, and then settled in the bangs option for the faces of the skin. Now I think the bangs option will stay on, because I just got shouted at across the platform about how good it looks on me 😀 Thanks Narcisse ♥

I have mentioned in the past how much I love a good hybrid, the mixing of system layers and mesh, to really add extra versatility to an item. This Basic Maxi dress is a fantastic example of that, and you will want as many as you can get your hands on, the style, the colours – the appliers – it all works.  I wanted to show how it can go from a casual daytime look, to a dressier night out style with a few simple items added to the look.

With the help of the lovely mesh denim jacket from Emery that is at this months FaMESHed, the combination mixed with the system layer upper portion of the dress is perfect. Adding a few bits and pieces of your favourite jewellery would add a lot of flavour to the look, but I settled for simple today. I was never into denim jackets when they were a big thing in the 80’s but one of my friends was obsessed, and after wearing this one by Emery, I can understand the attraction after all this time. The sunbrella which is a C88 event item by Yummy, is adorable, and thankfully mod also, seeing as it was a bit oversized to start with, but I made it a little smaller.

The lovely wanda hole belt from LaGyo adds just the right amount of dressy to the look for a night out. I really dig this belt a lot, also that its mesh and mod means that it sizes well and was a great fit to my shape.

moving on down to the footwear, also from House of Fox, the Vivian shoes are adorable. They are the perfect summery sandal look, with a great chunky platform and wonderful colours or colourful combinations. The HUD was easy to use, and I found the base layer matched my skin which was a bonus, but tinting is not something I ever find a chore.

With my SLink hands, I am wearing the avatar enhanced versions, and Belleza just released hand appliers for these last week, so off I ran and got mine, they look great, and I am wearing two of the New Flair nails appliers with them. I plan on doing another gift set for the subscriber in the next week, so be sure to hit that up when you visit. Also in the hands, is one of the NEW Workwear leather clutches by Mon Tissu, it comes in two options, rigged and unrigged and the colours are fabulous. A great addition to a look for either day or night.

The Belleza skin I am wearing is actually part of the 100Block event, so it is at a great discounted price, and I just love the Ava skin, it has such a great face and mouth, and the make up choice is beautiful, so demo demo that when you are there.

I really love great latex pieces, and this new mini skirt by BOOM is just fantastic. It is rigged mesh, and the liquid effect of the latex texture is spot on. It can be worn with or without the alpha, but this will depend on your shape and how your ao moves I expect, but I had no issues unless sitting down. The skirt is a partial release for the 100 Block event that is now on, with a multitude of fantastic creators involved. Items are at discounted prices, so make sure you get over there and stock up on the lovelies.

The skin I am wearing today is the second release I mentioned from UnBra, the Abella skin has some deeply intense make ups, and a great face. Natural no make up look is also available, with 5 cleavage options and different lipsticks. You can also purchase appliers for Tango’s, Slink Avatar Enhanced feet and hands as well.

Slipping my feet into the Destiny heel add ons by Slink, I was playing with the HUD that makes the textures either clear or solid, I this time went with the straps off version…giving the shoes a more mule like look. Finishing off the look with the sexy Adile hair by LeLutka, the style is unrigged mesh, it means you can edit it for size. I really like the oversized bun, but it is the loose long bangs divided down the middle that really make it a statement style.

I have been absent the last few days, spending a little time fixing some RL stuff, and it has been relaxing. I was still able to attend to What’s New SL stuff and The Deck…but it gave me a chance to get my mind in order for the upcoming months of Hair Fair preparation. It is definitely an exciting time of the year, and there are so many great events going on now, as well as in preparation for the time before that. I heard about SummerFest yesterday and that looks like an awesome event. If you haven’t heard of it, I suggest if you are a store you jump on the chance to be involved, you can find the application for that HERE.

Also don’t forget you have Collabor88 going on, as well as FaMESHed‘s 1st Birthday celebration. That is a lot of great stuff to see and do. Today though my post is about items not at events. The other day I was looking at my UnBra skins folder and was wondering what had happened to that store, well sure enough if you think hard enough, things happen. The creator of UnBra skins has released two ( only one shown today) new skins, and not only do they have great make ups, and cleavage options etc, but they are all compatible with Tangos and also Slink avatar enhanced hands and feet appliers are available. So with a new release comes big things.

UnBra skins have always had really lovely make ups, and there are lipstick layers also included with the skins, but I am showing just the ones that come on each skins make up. If you like a very sexy skin, then be sure to go and demo Indigo, because she is smoldering hot, especially body wise, and again with all the appliers available you can be an all in one UnBra girl.

Because I was applier kitted out, I decided to go all out in the clothing options as well, and this Peek a Bra dress by DCNY is definitely an all out look. Almost too out lol, yeah I crack me up too :P. The sexy dress comes with prim or mesh insert panel for the skirt piece, and tango appliers included, so you get the option to wear with or without. It took minimal effort to get a good fit, and it is a sexy dress for sure.

On my wrist I am wearing the latest release of stacked bangles from Stellar, they come in silver or gold, and Stellar has also released nailpolishes for the Avatar Enhanced systems, so you should check those out as well. I am wearing the classic pointed pumps from Slink, they are an add on shoe, that fits perfectly over her medium rigged mesh feet, so add and off you go looking fabulous.

The Ferah hair is one of the three recent hair releases by LeLutka, and comes in two options, one with a larger breast option, which in this case came in handy. I love the style of this hair, the other day I was running around the grid in a bikini, and it gave a from the water kind of vibe to the look, either dry or wet it really looks great and is a lovely style to wear, especially in my favourite fades natural colours.
