I saw posted on SLX just now that Olive Riley the 108 year old Lady from Australia and the worlds oldest Blogger has passed away, this is really upsetting to many people that she touched through her stories and just her ways. I saw a programme done on her a few months back and she is just one of those people that touches your soul, my heart goes out to those that have suffered a more personal loss through her passing.

Her own blog is down at the moment which I hope changes but a friend has made a temporary blog for her HERE .

I think sometimes we forget how far we spread with our words and things we share , this is the perfect example of how the internet brings us all together , I couldn’t imagine a day without so many of you now that I have you , hugs for everyone.

I love when things so beautiful come together. I had been waiting for the latest release from Popfuzz to come as it was made later than the rest, but only by a few days , and while walking around the Swimwear and Lingerie Expo I ran into SySy Chapman of SySy Designs.

Admiring her beautiful dress she had on, she literally took it off her back and gave it to me in the three magnificent colours shown. The Slip Dresses from SySy are just beautiful with their so delicate sheer lace work at the top and bottom, and the colours that immediately bring to mind erotic bedrooms and pleasurable pursuits, this is also available at the Expo.

The other greatness that came about while waiting are the fantastic NEW Skins by SODA creator Charlotte Morellet , I am sooo delighted to share these , not just because of how wonderful they are, but also because the last big skin release – her first actually- I was sent a beta pack and asked for feedback and felt so bad that once given the release I wasn’t a blogger any longer, I have done posts in them in the past but this is just a great feeling getting to share them as a release ♥.

I saw on her own blog that there will be shapes to go with these in the future , but its amazing how different each skin looks on my same shape, it really shows that each one has its own character and they are just YUM YUM YUM, I think I may have freaked Charlotte out squeeling in her box like I did – sorry bout that :P.

The first skin is Samantha, be aware that all but one of these is the NUDE make-up so imagine how striking the rest will be if this is the base. The lips and eyes are just beautiful and the natural shine/glow to the face are just incredibly done.

The hair is Jaya from Novocaine in Champagne because this is a celebration of beauty today – hee hee I should so write for hallmark.
Ok now for the other incredible Beauty, in the form of the Brocade Satin Lingerie by Popfuzz Designs.

Popfuzz sent me the beta of this while she was making the rest of the colours and it took every ounce of strength to not leave it on since. An incredible hand drawn set , with boned corset and divine lacing up the back , the laces and eyelets are magnificent work but the overall brocade and boning is just marvelous.

This is a set that you will want to wear as outer wear in a heart beat, the beauty of the corset can be carried further with the right gown skirt to make an incredible formal, or worn with your favourite pants/jeans for a sensual casual look. The panties again are adorable and the stockings for each set and garter belts to match are just awesome. Another reason to get on over to the expo and get your hands on the Popfuzz releases as they are all incredible.

This skin is the Madelyn by SODA, again the lips and eyes are just striking and the face character is just wonderful, one thing I noticed right away about the NEW SODA skins , is that she has done allot of work on the bodies , the older skins had a lot more shading around the cleavage enhancing the bust , these ones are allot softer in that regard, and the bum well you can see it is also very subtle just the right amount of shading especially for lingerie.

The hair is from Junwave and called Erotica which is a fun razor blade cut style.

As you can see the range of colours in the Brocade Satin set are just wonderful and soft pastels in this look are such a delight, I do hope that Popfuzz does release some of this style in Dark Rich colours too – hint hint – but I know that to be able to show the incredible pattern of the brocade she needed to do it in lighter tones.

This is the Lily Skin and the lips on this are poutier with a glossier lipstick look, just smashing with the Jade Nana hair, speaking of Nana I am wearing the Nana heels as well from Enkythings in this post , but wanted you to see the brocade closer up so you only see the shoes in two pics , but many of the colours in the 24 available in the Nana Heels go so well with this set.

By now you have been asking ‘where is that divine Jewelry from she is wearing ‘ you have I know it lol, the Mighty Heart collection is from Persona , beautiful delicate silver pieces with a wonderful choice in bracelets and bangles, the long necklace is a natural eye drawer to the cleavage and there are wonderful heart pendant earrings to match.

Nicola is the next divine skin, and it has such a young appeal to it, it even has the lightest smattering of freckles across the bridge of the nose and cheeks , not like spots but that sunkissed look if you have tanable skin, you will know what I mean when you try on the demos.
The hair is Eve 2 from Maitreya and the soft caramelish brown just suited the youthful glow of this skin so well.
Roxie light couldn’t be better named, she has Roxie attitude hands down – or scalp down I should say lol.

I know if I walk I’m going to strut, this skin is just that attitude based, so with all that Roxie Moxie I had to wear Madison by Analog Dog the hair that moves with each breath, this skin and this hair are a perfect duo.




Following with another hairstyle by Analog Dog is Emma a stunning updo to go with another stunning skin called Alice.

Again OMG those lips those eyes , this was actually the first one I put on in the set and it was instant adoration, and look she even has my lip dent lol.

I particularly love the detailing underneath the eyes on Alice , it again adds so much character and dimension to the face.

Ok this was were I got freaky in Charlottes box , when I first put on Amara Light I had this total Naomi Campbell thing happen, I know I dont look like her and don’t have a shape anything like hers.

But just that first impression even while rezzing it was instant OMG I look like Naomi. It could possibly be the lips but it was more the overall feel of the skin, but again its all about the attitude with this one and those lips are yummy.

The hair is Jamison from Dernier Cri another wonderful soft brown moving over to the blonde side.

Cecily again sooo full of character, a more mature look in my opinion and I dont mean aged I just mean someone that has their stuff together.

I really like the way the lips are created on this skin that partially open at the ends look a smile waiting to be set free, is just charming.

Equally charming is the Jocelyn hair from Diversity hair a wonderful half pulled bun style.

From Mature to Youthful again with the Julia, isn’t she just adorable, she is like your best friends little sister , a girl who you remember in pigtails and ripped jeans who suddenly turns into a woman and you really are amazed by it every time you look at her.

Men want to protect her and Women want to protect her from Men, but she is all knowledge believe me look at those knowing eyes, she is no fool.

She is the Cinderella that said to Prince Charming she would marry him after she gets her Masters Degree – sorry you have to have seen the original Jersey Girl to get that lol.

The hair is Madeline 2 by ETD.

Lastly in the pink Brocade Satin Set is the Kara skin, Kara is a bit more streetwise looking, again a mature style, gorgeous lips and eyes but the kind of girl that would well hey I just thought of totally who she reminds me of lol.

She is so the lady – and I think she is one so much I love this actress – from CSI the original one
Marg Helgenberger , probably looks nothing like her to you , but she has that ‘look’ of having seen it even if she hasn’t done it, and if she has you will only hear about it if its to offer advice lol.

The hair is the beautiful Juliet style from Gurl 6.

For those of you fortunate to have been a treasure hunter winner at Loco Pocos Opening event last week, The Freida and Freddy Avatars have had an update , you do not have to wear it for it to work , just rez the head on the ground and click and it will send you a new one YAY more colours for the fur, and a secret squirrel told me – hee hee Washu is her real name – that by next weekend there will be NEW Loco Pocos Avatars to collect YAY YUM YUM YUM , if you haven’t been to Loco Pocos yet make sure you do soon.

More goodies from Shoe fair YAY! , first off the Huntress Boots from TRUTH Designs by Truth Hawkes and these are delish.

The texturing of these sculpted boots is just wonderful in Night and Soil, the cute way the toe points up slightly is just great and the heels are a low wedge style so they will be great for days when heels just aren’t what you’re needing.

I love wearing boots like this with long skirts, you know when your stand changes and your leg juts out of your skirt and bam there are some yummy boots hiding in there – ok maybe your stands don’t do that but mine do lol.

The Mika Bow heels are the fab Donation Shoes by DELA’s Kuranosuke Kamachi , gorgeous rich red and black patent bows on the side of the foot just make these a delight.

They are so sweet but definitely sexy, and the style will go with so many things , this is the kind of shoe I would wear all black with so that the red in the bow just adds that much more to the look.



She’s So Unusual Shoes creator Rowan Carroll has created some fun and fabulous shoes for the fair as well.

First off the pink Celestial sandals are flats that need no shoe base, lovely little stars and crescent moons across the strap and the jelly like texture is adorable.

Next up are the shoes that will have me giggling all day, the Bikini Heels are just too much fun , and with the Lingerie Swimwear Expo on this week too they are very appropriate.

Being used to Rowans Unusual Shoes , I still wasn’t prepared for these and their cuteness. The unbrell and lounge chair are just genius as a heel base and the bikini itself as the shoe well it just makes me as a thong wearer on my feet giggle even more.

Carmen Miranda would be honored to have the Carmen Shoes named after her I am sure, I mean who else could they possibly be named after with that adorable fruit embellishment at the toes and those wonderful rattan wedges. If you cant balance fruit on your head then these are definitely a Must Have.

The Feather Crest heels again really well thought out, so much is done with feathers in the form of clothing in Phils Place, that a pair of shoes with a feather feature is just a needed shoe.

They would look great also with lingerie as an alternative to the fluffy mules , I am really glad the feather is facing the way it is or it would have incredible tickle effect if it was the other way.

Lastly the Square Carved Toe sandals , these are a wonderful mix of toe sandals and getas, I love the simplicity of the square base of these , they would be wonderful to just cruise around in in your favourite shorts and tank or some beachwear, and if you have a black Kimono they would suit that too.

One of the funny things about fairs etc for me , is that generally with work I have access to the locations, to help set up for work.

The funny part is that nearly every single time I completely forget I do have such access and never really think to take advantage of it, so just like clothing fair it was only really the last minute I went OOOOooooooo runs around lol.

So here are some goodies I was able to grab and also were given to show you all that are available at the fabulous Shoe Fair that opened earlier today.

First off Enkythings Ekota Heels , beautiful rich textures in 24 stunning colours, the style is a classic cross strapped court shoe, Perfect for suits and business attire and beautiful with the gorgeous summer frocks around at the moment. I especially like this style with pants as you can see a hint of the beauty and then just want to see more, my favourite feature is that adorable V just at the start of the toe cleavage – a customer gave me that expression once and I kept it lol.

So many more beautiful shoes in Enkythings booth at the fair so make sure you grab all the demos and see for yourself.
Next are the Divine Virtue Heels from Maitreya if you love these you will have to go to the fair to get them , as they will not be available at the store EVER . They are also the Maitreya ASPCA 100% donations shoes , that means like all vendors at the shoe fair that either 100% of one style or a percentage of all styles will go to the ASPCA a wonderful cause, so make sure you get these and know your money is going to a worthy cause.

The texture on these are just stunning and the style is gorgeous , there are two versions in the pack one is a resizable one if you need that for your shoes.

The HUB has released for the fair the beautiful Athena Shoes, wonderful cut out wedge heels which is their signature style, a beautiful almost metalic texture in a delightful array of colours.

They also have a wider ankle version which is handy, and these will also look adorable with beachwear and summer frocks, but with those metalic looks can easily move into nighttime frivolity.

Lastly and this is thanks to Alexa Lioncourt for wearing the cloven hoof version for two days and intriguing me with them. Proof I was oblivious as the booth for these at Lazy Places was right near works booth lol.

Also a fantastic build there are so many that have put a unique touch to their spaces with their spare prims. The Ungulate boots I chose are the Equine ones as in horsey hoofs, and they are so cute , not only is the design of them wonderful but they also leave prim hoof prints as I walk.

Not the particle kind as those will move with your view , but prim ones will lead a trail after you, so cute and so much fun , you can turn that function on and off though , and be aware that they wont work in no build areas so don’t panic is you don’t see them, they also are scripted to change size on click so thats also a great feature.

Some of you may or may not have noticed that Popfuzz Bamboo had not been releasing as much lately, well she is back and oh WOW back in the most Yummiest of ways.

A year ago and wow it really was too, because I lived on a totally different island, Popfuzz released an amazing Lace Corset, I remember TPing everyone I knew into that store as it was such a Must Have, HERE is an old Pic of a post I did on it back then.

Now Popfuzz has been working on some INCREDIBLE Lingerie pieces in time for Lingerie/Swimwear Expo that starts today and I was blown away that not only have her skills grown and grown so much in a year , but the overall sexyness and beauty of these pieces made it very difficult to get dressed after the pics were taken.

As usual you can tell when an item is revealing, because I try and pose as unexposed as possible, some things are not for my blog but for my Mel, and he was lucky he was in world while I took the pics lol. The Lace Dot Lingerie set is just gorgeous, the panties are adorable , the bra with its halfcup style in the satin dotted fabric is uplifting – pun pun punnnnnnnnn – and finished off with such beautiful lace work.

I also think that the half coverage garter belt is just beautiful, by half coverage I just mean that there is fabric to it as somethings you just get a belted band and then the triangles of fabric and then other times they are made to go over the hips, it just depends, so half covering seems right :o).

I am also wearing the beautiful Collaboration Skin by Popfuzz and ♥ Cupcakes in tan with silver make up for the lingerie pics and Dark Shadow for the Denim. I have blogged in this skin many times and the shading and make ups are just gorgeous, and by shading I mean incredible cleavage for lingerie and swim wear .

The hair is the New Pompadour style by Shop Seu , and when I bought this I didn’t take it off for two days, how I haven’t blogged in it yet I have no clue, its yummy. The shoes made for Lingerie, and everything else you can think of are the fabulous Nana heels by Enkythings everytime I have to shoot lingerie I cant help but be grateful to Enktan for creating these beauties.
Now the Sheer Ribbed set is what I think started the ball rolling in the lingerie releases from Popfuzz, she had a vision and she ran with it. I am wearing both layers in pants and two layers in top so you can see the front of this Yummyness.

They are much sheerer as the name suggests when you wear just one , but isnt it awesome that you can wear two layers and wear this top as outer wear too, I did for the rest of the day.

The boy shorts just make it scrumptious and the lace edging and that adorable little red bow just a delight to wear. As is the Delilah Hair by Analog Dog.

Up next is the Sheer Panel Satin Lingerie set and WOW again , Six Kennedy recently wore this in her New Releases and I hear she was so in love with it she didn’t want to take it off either.

Totally understand that feeling, this set is just stunning, again incredible panties and very sheer which you can tell by the side panels, the cute as ruffle effect to the bottom of the corset is genius , its so tiny and delicate it really just adds so much to the overall look.

The colours in this set as well as the others are just wonderful and SILVER weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee The garter and stockings are really beautiful too and will become a great addition to your stockings collection. The hair in this pic is Lindsay from Dernier Cri.

Now in addition to Lingerie/Swimwear Expo we have SHOE FAIR , Four Sims jam packed full of incredible creations, Enkythings is there, so you can get your Nana Heels as well as all the other scrumptious Enkythings Shoes.

As well Dark Eden is releasing some NEW Boots , the incredible Eris Boots and the Phobos 2 boots, both styles pefect for showing off the New Denim pieces from Popfuzz.

Firstly I want to point out that these are hand drawn, so much in SL is, I am very aware of the incredible skills of our designers , but I don’t think I have personally ever worn completely hand drawn jeans/denim before or not that I know of anyway, but it was an experience in Yum with these knowing that, Popfuzz even added her signature robot face to the back pocket , subtle but there lol she so loves that robot face.

The micro mini and the flexy ruffled denim skirt are both available in dark or light denim , and there is a belted option also that is just neato. They can be bought separately or as a denim pack which is excellent value. I was supposed to show the wonderful Racerback cut out tanks with these as I have, but I couldn’t help but also wear the sheer ribbed camis again , because they ROCK!. The racerbacks are wonderful shoulder enhancing tanks and on all layers so you can go short to show some skin or long on the jacket layer.

The Eris boot is a fabulous slim strapped buckled ankle boot and that heel is just wonderful in style and sturdyness, but again BUCKLES! aren’t they just awesome. The style looks great with the cute short denim skirts.

Speaking of Buckles Ooooo La La , the Phobos 2 boot is Buckle Love. This boot is higher up the leg and similar footstyle as the Eris but YUM those straps and those incredible Chunky Buckles, these are just GORGEOUS.

I want more of those buckles on things please Etain ♥ wrap me up lol. Oh speaking of Dark Eden and being wrapped up , its the Monthly Dark Eden girl of the Month Party tonight at the Dark Eden Main Store, so be sure to head on over for that , always fun and always naughty.

I am wearing the Jeans in dark and light denim on the underpants layer for boot fit , and again YUM, this time again I couldn’t help it , I had to do the sheer ribbed again but this time with one of the Dot Lace bra’s underneath, Popfuzz is an addiction I hope you will all share with me.

The hairstyles in both denim pics are both from Argrace, gorgeous Cap and Beanie hat/hair, the beanie also has a texture/colour change on click option and the hair underneath is just gorgeous in style and texture, so make sure you try on those Demos when you can. and JewelryHair Roses are from Essentia and the Byzantine necklace is Unisex and incredible prim work.

Lmao ok this is fact , I didn’t even think about the name connection when I came up with the idea for this shot, until I typed the title and thought well should I say by Adam n Eve, or should I say by Damen Gorilla of Adam n Eve LOL.

Fact of the matter is that the C’mere shoes were not originally named that, they had a different name, and well I got all Sasyish in Damens box and they ended up C ‘mere, the cute part is that I was being cheeky about the reference to the Studs on the sides of the shoes , and Anessa Stine got it, she really did.

So somehow between then and now I had this thought about what lengths we girls go to to get our hands on fantastic shoes, and my head went to King Kong – I swear I completely forgot that he was a Gorilla too :P. Anyway as bad as my ps skills are and trying to find a shot of the empire state building that didnt have lots of stuff surrounding it, I had fun with the idea of climbing a tall building to get my mitts on C’mere.

The shoes come in both stud options of Silver and Black , and they are just fabulous shoes, beautiful heels and divine colours. If this is the quality coming from Damen BEFORE Shoe Fair , imagine the yummies we have to look forward to. So go to Adam n Eve and try on the DEMO and fall in lust like I have, and if you have to climb a tall building to get there it is sooo worth it.

Today was definitely such a day, with the help of Hair Creators Sheltered Heart of House of Heart and Leetah Moxie of Curl Up n Dye.

The first hair is Emma from Curl Up and Dye, now be aware I did remove the bangs – yay for editable hair – just because I wasn’t really feeling them enough, but the overall build if this incredible hair is just enough to want to take out your snuff box and party the night away.

The feathers come black, but again with edit I was able to make them white with ease , as that is their true colour , so you could change them to whatever colour you need to match an outfit.

With the bangs gone , I also got to show off the smokey eyes from the New MMS Zero skins, this is the Pale-makeup2a each of the skins has three brow colours, and the make up on the 2 is just breathtaking, make sure you go to Minnu Model skins and check out the DEMOS of the New Zero skin Range.

The outfit is the wonderful Black Mist set from Bare Rose, I adore this set, its got all the style of the period, but with the added saucyness of Bare Rose. I am wearing the open skirt option , there is a closed skirt with white fill , but I had to show off the cute hot pants. Also the style of this would look wonderful over a pair of dress pants if raunchy isn’t your cup of tea.

The bootlets – ok ankle boots but bootlets sounds cuter – are from Adam n Eve and are the Beatrice boots and were just exactly what I needed for this look, there are lots of colours to choose from in the Beatrice style and you have to get over there ASAP anyway as Damen has put to pairs of shoes on SALE for 24 hours only and time is running out on that.

This next hair is from House of Heart and DAYUM!. I couldn’t help but want that as a separate attachment for the hand, imagine the fun you could have with that, makes me think of a book I read once were a girl with long silky black hair ran it up and down , well you get the point.

The hair is Zakuro and its just wonderful, totally inspired a ninja/supervixen kind of look so straight to the Anti Hero set pieces from PixelDolls and I was set.

I love the anti hero collection , its just fun and comes in handy as pieces to mix and match. I started thinking you would have to be a machine to not have this hair effect you, and that made me reach for the Tinker Tattoo from InkD by Laylah Mistral.
Laylah does lovely full length tats, and most of them that I know of are tintable, which is nice to not have solid black but more of an aged ink look , or some colour if its your choice. Again from MMS is the Sun-Kissed-makeup2b skin , this time a bit more tan and those heavenly deep red lips.
This combo is just perfect, the hair is Skarin from Curl up and Dye and is a viking style hair , but how perfect is it with all this peacock splendor I feel like Cleopatra.

The wonderful Peacock Masquerade Gown & Mask set is from Flights of Fancy, a store were the creator changes her style and creative vision quicker than most change shoes.

The Peacock tail is incredible and there is a down option as well if you don’t feel like filling a room, or better yet you can change through the evening for your own preen moment.

Lastly this combo again from the hair up and out, the hair is the wonderful Tuli style from House of Heart, a windblown style so soft and beautiful that it made me think of being a damsel in distress aboard a pirate ship, my clothes having not been sufficient for shipboard duties I am given bits and pieces from the sexy Captain and don’t I look fab.

Ok ok they may not have had the April Bra from Insolence back then but shhhh don’t tell. The shirt is from First Impressions Gothique set and is just ruffly fun and sheer heaven – pun pun punnnnn -.
The incredible Harem Highwaist pants are from Royal Blue and the texture is just amazing, the colour is sublime and I just love the whole combination whatever you may be doing in them.
The Stompi boots are also from Adam n Eve and the texture detailing on these were just perfect to coincide with the pants, buckled and strapped and lined in what looks like soft sheepskin , you will never put a foot out of place – ok another pun but I was on a roll – . Finishing it off with the lovely Sun-Tan-makeup7 from Minnu Model Skins the extra colour is exactly how I would be spending hours on board a beautiful ship in the middle of the pacific.

Some of you may already know that I am on the Hair Fair Committee some may not lol, two of my Committee members are Damien Fate and Washu Zebrastripe, today like any other poor Washu was ten seconds in world before I pounced – literally, I have the IM archives to prove it – she explained that she was overwhelmed today as they were preparing for the 9th of July opening of their NEW Sim called Loco Pocos.

Being ever so nosey , I wanted to know what this NEW sim was, and was invited over to have a look. I already knew that both are incredibly talented together and separately in whatever endeavors they take on, but NOTHING and I do mean NOTHING prepared me for this.

I have many friends in world that are furries and cubbies, thats not a secret, and one thing I know for certain is how difficult it can be to take on an avatar so rigid in design and make it your own so to speak. Many of them aren’t mod , and even a few aren’t copy, which makes editing them so difficult. Then there is the price. Everyone who creates in Phils Place deserves to charge what they see fit for their own work , this is not about that, but many of my friends have bought so many avatars at 1K + and then not been too happy with the outcome, or just over it in a few weeks lol.

Which I totally get , I mean can you imagine wearing one complete head to toe outfit day in and day out. Anyway I am rambling , thing is that Damien was given a job to make an avatar for a project – secret squirrel business it is too so shhhhh – and while doing so, discovered exactly what was involved in the process and it inspired him to go forward from there.

Now Loco Pocos is not just an avatar store oh no , and its not really a furry furry store either , as the avatars are actually Tiny’s. There is a Cat a Rabbit , a Mouse a Pig and a Bear – I hope I left no one out – and each one has a female or male version. But it doesn’t stop there , oh no. When you purchase an avatar you have a hud attachment allowing for different colours, in fur, eyes, whiskers – if you have them – nose. It also has a Gestures hud that you will see in the film that does so many wonderful and fun things.

Then when you purchase your accessories the hud updates to include those and all the colour changes you have for each item. The items are also full mod and copy , so you can go further than even Damien and Washu have done for you. The base avatar is 350L and then each accessory is 100L , so you can go as high as you want with additions, that is totally up to you.

But as I said Loco Pocos is so much more than that , and my experience so far on two tours and revisiting again already twice is just awe, pure and simple yes I cried, not huge sobby tears , just tears of absolute amazement and joy that we have been given such a gift. I was so moved by it all and I am so hoping you will be too.

The island is based on a story, a story that involved the splendid tree of which Loco Pocos is built on and around and under. It Involves Journals by past explorers and treasure hunters, and you get to recreate those travels yourself and find unbelievable secrets I haven’t shown. As well as all the beauty and fun that is puzzles and games , you will find treasure that will not EVER be available to buy , additions to your avatar that you can wear as trophies for making it through the challenges that face you.

Believe me they are challenges, but oh so much fun, I could spend all day at Loco Pocos and I probably will on the 9th of July or as long as I can anyway. For that ONE DAY ONLY , from noon SL time , you will be able to get yourself an avatar that will also NEVER AGAIN be available.
This is going to be an event NOT TO MISS, make sure you tell everyone you know that has a weakness for the magical , because this is something you will always remember.

LOCO POCOS ISLAND – Damien Fate has gone out on limb, literally, to bring to the Second Life grid an interactive destination unlike any other.

On July 9, 2008, Second Life ™ residents will be able to experience, first hand, the magic that is Loco Pocos Island. The island is built with a story in mind, and visitors are invited to search the island for pages from the unfortunate Captain B. Bonnik’s journal. Each journal entry will piece together the history of Loco Pocos Island and will lead the visitor to secret locations where special tasks and rewards await. The centerpiece of the island is the mythical tree, Rokeden. With it’s rich texturing, imaginative design and Fate’s characteristic attention to detail, visitors to the sim will instantly become immersed in, and a part of, the fantasy that is the story of Loco Pocos Island.

Fate felt inspired to create Loco Pocos Island hoping to bring a unique experience to Second Life residents. “My dream was to create something new in SL, not with just a product, but a whole island experience. Something that is intuitive, bringing things to a whole new level and above all, bring everyone in SL together by removing all language barriers possible.” Fate continued. “Sims can be so much more than just a store, avatars can be so much more than just prims.”

Loco Pocos, which, loosely translated, means “crazy tinies”, are the inhabitants of this magical island. Each sculpted avatar, equipped with a user-friendly HUD, is meticulously detailed and textured. The Loco Pocos are infinitely customizable via the HUD for maximum personalization. Each avatar is able to emote and gesture via the HUD and wearing any of the multiple Loco Pocos accessories automatically updates the HUD with the appropriate customization options for that item.

The HUD itself is designed to offer maximum ease-of-use. The graphic icons are easily recognizable and a users manual, translated into seven languages, has been provided for those who prefer text based instruction. Overall, though, each avatar and it’s HUD was designed so that the end-user could visit the Island Store, purchase an avatar and begin exploring all of the island’s adventures within minutes.

Prior to beginning the Loco Pocos project, Fate worked with the Electric Sheep Company, playing a major role in the development of such notable projects as Ben and Jerry’s island, IBM Sentinel 2.0, and CSI:NY (tv shows and inworld game/machinima), independently developed a popular line of Final Fantasy avatars, and the mirada.smartHUD, an emotion HUD which, to date, has sold over 5,000 units.

Fate was joined in this endeavor by his partner and wife, Washu Zebrastripe. Zebrastripe is a beta lifetime member of Second Life and is the original creator of prim hair. Fate and Zebrastripe are also co-owners of the Hairspray Sim.

To kick off the Grand Opening of Loco Pocos Island, a massive scavenger hunt event will begin at Noon SLT on July 9, 2008. Visitors to the sim on this date will have the opportunity to win a unique avatar which will only be available during events at Loco Pocos Island.
