Kitty in a Pumpkin
Feeling a bit country at the moment, with my new hat, boots and awesome denim dress. The setting is the New Falling into You – Market set that Whimsy and I created for My Attic this session. It is Pumpkinpalooza up in here, and I just love the idea of visiting a market like this with fresh produce, home-grown on some imaginary farm. The Market set is also very low prim, it looks like hundreds but its about 47 altogether, even less if you make it smaller size wise, which is so cute for kids to play shopping games with friends. At 95L for the whole thing during the event, definitely fun.
The setting was perfect also to show off my new items. The hat is the revenge hat from Fri.day that they released for Cinema, while I debated the two colour choices, finally settling on black, it was of course brown that would have been more viable with the belts and boots overall…I do wish in this case though the hat had been texture change, being a more versatile accessory, but the style of it is so perfect and cool, I am happy either way, especially as I got to wear it so fast on an impulse buy.
Under the hat, with hair being so complicated to fit under hats usually, I took a hairbase from LeLutka, then added the tail portion of the Belle hair, and the bun from the swish hair over the top at the join to give it a more realistic look. I love all the additional pieces in LeLutka styles lately, because you can do wonderful things like this with them.
I was really excited to learn that Babette Ultsch of Kitties Lair was back and creating in Mesh…first off just that she was back and creating was yay worthy, but mesh too was just wonderful news. Her footwear in the past had been fond favourites for years, especially as she did tend to do incredibly high heels and sexy shoes. Then also the clothing of past releases were always adored, case in point the cut off denim shorts she released eons ago that had a bit more cheek in them than regular cut offs and were lots and lots of fun, you can see that old pic HERE.
So to have her back with both is exciting. The new Betsy Corsage dress is a denim strapless dress that is very well constructed, with wonderful detailing and a fantastic movement in the back, definitely going to get some attention there. Not only the back though, the chest area of this dress adds a lot to the shape and form of the body. I am actually wearing a smaller size than I usually do, because its an asset friendly dress. Definitely a design for those more ample up top, so for those who may have in the past had to up a size to have the chest area fit, Kitties Lair is looking after you. There is also the added benefit of a HUD with the dress allowing for the denim change, belt colour change as well as the metal of the flat studs on the bodice in either silver or gold.
On the footwear front, the 7th Street boots are beautiful, whether worn with this style dress, or with pants or a lovely coat, the style are going to be worn often with the upcoming layers weather. The contrast turned over tops are lovely, but I realy like the zipper side detailing and the gorgeous stacked heel. The heel also being really well shaped and signature high. DEMO DEMO DEMO it all.

Be silent, be still
In the past I have rattled on about ‘Bloggers Fate” and how items just seem to come together by pure fate, and how you can be searching around for something to add to a look and it just falls out of the sky, whether by a bloggers pack drop or even just a well timed notice from a group like What’s New SL or a stores subscribo. Sometimes though, this bloggers fate comes to mind when I have neglected to get something blogged well after its release and I get all anxious about it, but still it goes unblogged and then, KABAM! the blogging fate kicks in and I get all happy that by waiting I found the perfect compliment to the items.
Such is the case with today’s post. I feel like the release of these beautiful floral motif halter tops by One Bad Pixel was months ago now, but it really wasn’t, the guilt of not posting them right away has me imagining things. The halter tops are so sexy and a great way to show off what remains of your summer tan, and fabulous assets, because they give very very hot side viewage. I like the soft floral prints giving it an ability to be worn in the day and into the warm evenings, were as the previous glomesh style was pure evening wear. I am so glad I waited to blog these. The soft blends of colours go so well with the boyfriend cords that Beetlebones has just released as part of the My Attic event.
All items at My Attic are 95L while they are in the event, and after the 31st of October they will go to regular store prices. Not only are they a bargain at the moment, but they also come in PACKS! so you get light or dark packs for that price, amazing. Then not only do you get lots of colours, but they have been made to have a tucked in version, which means that they go in more at the waist and will allow for a better fit with most mesh tops, so this is a great bonus and very thoughtful of the creator.
Other items that I was behind on featuring, are the Mermaid inspired eyeshadows by Chelle, that again also just perfectly blended in with the clothing, to make the whole look tie in together. Even though a little over the top make up wise, with the floral and the amazing ceramic headpiece by Pididdle – also a My Attic item – it softens it up enough to be totally how I would work it for the day.
The headpiece sits atop the hair that Exile has released for My Attic, and this style is a really nice long length at the back with it tucked behind the shoulders, leaving them bare and just perfect for the halter style of the top. I cannot wait to see more behind the shoulders styles, as with lots of layers and getting warmer for the cooler months ahead fashion wise, this is definitely going to be something we need more of.
Cinema is another event that is running at the moment, and this necklace I have on inspired by dog tags, is a Gossamer Jewellery item for the event. The detailing on it is amazing, what is being done with mesh gets even more appealing every day.
The poses I am using are by Ploom, and two of them – the two on the left side – are part of the Silence set that is also a My Attic release, they actually come with a raven bird prop and can look very intense for the spooky festivities coming at the end of the month, but with lighter colours and no birdy, the poses are still great for fashion.

Waisted – Collabor88, FaMESHed, Cinema
Just past the mid way mark for the month and as some events are winding down, some are about to begin. Before that happens though, some more items from FaMEShed and Collabor88 for the month, as well as the wonderful poses that Adorkable Poses did for Cinema. They did a whole series of Sci – Fi sets for the event, but regardless of theme the poses work for all sorts of moods and settings.
The dress I am wearing is by Rebel Hope and part of this months FaMESHed event, as is the hair I am wearing which is a lovely style by Monso. The wrap style belted dress is just perfect for all sorts of occasions, and this style is always so flattering, and can be dressed up even further if desired. I went with a mix of glam and funky with my look, the gorgeous hat with veil by LaGyo that is part of Collabor88, and then the beautiful boots by LeLutka. The little balls on the hat are so cute, and work well with the studs on the collar of the dress.
The skin I am wearing is the new Roza skin by Glam Affair, a basics collection with really lovely soft make ups. The other items worn are the amazing mesh eyeliners that are also part of Glam Affairs latest release. The liners are really fun to wear and definitely add a level to skin. You definitely need to try on the demos of not only the beautiful skin but get yourself all the liners too, they are Must Haves !

Belle of the ball
With the love of all things movies, you will have had the wonderful experience of Disney, and their magical adaptations of fairytales throughout the years. I remember seeing Snow White as a child, and then of course the ones that followed. I was already an adult by the time the Beauty and the Beast movie came about, but my friends daughter was so enamoured with Belle that it was definitely a film that touched our lives, over and over and over again.
The gown created by SySy’s for the Cinema event, is a beautiful take on the styles that are featured in that film, the almost bell like shape of the skirt is perfect, the tiered bottom and the lovely floral motif along the torso, all make this gown a really sweet and charismatic design. With it being mesh, it of course moves with the body, and it never gets old the joy of sitting in mesh that actually folds/bends with your legs when you sit. The gown comes in standard sizing, but make sure to try the demos, I did have to wear a medium in this gown so that it fit better across the bustline.
The skin I am wearing is a new skin from Leafy, it is called Crow, and has an incredibly pale fantasy look about it, I was eager to try it with the new SLink mesh hands, so used to darker skin tones that I am this actually was painless to match and the skin blenders included on tattoo layers really help to get it really right. It is also a lot of fun changing hands to express a look or mood.
The hair and adorable fake crown I am wearing are by LaViere and are available at this months Collabor88/October. A different event item, but perfectly suited to this gown and theme. I especially like the zipper detailing on the front of the crown, so unique a look and definitely takes it to that fake place to avoid any confusion of it trying to be a real crown.

Movie Magic – Hands On
Hands, Hands, Hands…but first…
Only a short time to go until the Cinema event starts. If you want to know more about it, or see some of the marvellous sneak peak blog posts regarding the event, you can visit their website HERE . So many wonderful stores are involved in the event, so be sure to check it out from tomorrow until the end of the month.
I am really looking forward to the build itself, especially the concession stand that Anya Ohmai has been working on. There are going to be gifts available based on the stores featured throughout the event, so all of those extra touches are something fun to look forward to.
My pics today are a mix of Cinema releases, as well as other events and regular releases. Starting at the top for once, the hair is all by Wasabi Pills, the pigtails style is from this months FaMESHed event, and is a really lovely style, with bangs that are just really cute, how they part slightly in the middle. The other two styles are part of Cinema. Taylor is a beautiful full wavey style, with Nikki a really sexy sideswept longer style.
Another Cinema item, is these great trench style coats from Baiastice. They come in regular or tweed fabrics, and look great over their recent release of fall leggings. Also with the leggings I am wearing their new cashmere turtleneck which is really well fitted to the body and incredibly stylish.
Another event item, is the Boho set that is a Drift release coming soon for the Boho Culture Fair event, this event I am not really sure about to be honest, I have looked at the website, but it is not really clear on event times or location, but I was told it starts on the 15th so maybe check the website then for more information. The set is a beautiful long mesh skirt with add on mesh pockets that just make it an adorable look, also the bandeau top is really well fitted, I just needed to resize manually and reposition and I was good to go, great styling from Drift for sure.
The outfit went really well also with the Valencia necklace from Gossamer Jewellery that is at FaMESHed this month, a must have set as it has great lengths and wonderful colours to change to for other outfits. Other colour change items are the Kippen Wedge shoes now at Collabor88 from Ison. They are a fun chunky style, with the addition of a great hud that allows you to change the laces, sole and eyelets, so you can have a lot of fun making them mix and match to colour block looks, or keep them all one colour.
Now about the hands. Slink is in the process of releasing the NEW Mesh rigged hands. They are unlike the previous release which were a great addition to photography, but they just got a whole lot better. There are 15 different versions to choose from, you can wear either both of the same type or mix them, such as wearing a bag hold on the left and a relaxed on the right. There are even novelty types such as ‘prosper’ which is very Star Trek, Peace sign, smoking, pointing and more.
The wrists are rigged, so that they bend with animations, and they are separate from the hands themselves. There are also skin blender tattoo layer options that make it easier to blend in with your skin. The best way to use the blenders is to get your hands to match as close as you can, and then wear the tattoo of the base preset you used…click the rgb button on the HUD and then it will give you the numbers to input into the colour picker options in the modify option for the tattoo layer. There are instructions, so you will be able to work it out for sure.
Also just a note, when turning on shadows the wrists will show differently, one way to work around that was to wear only the wrists and get them to match, then put the hands back on and it worked itself out. They really add to pictures and you will have a lot of fun trying out the different options.

These boots – New League Mesh
Exciting NEWS on the mesh front, is that League is about to release her first mesh tomorrow. For a first release of mesh ever, these pieces are just beautiful and so many lovely colours to choose from. Other news worthy announcements from League, is that the whole store has been vendor updated with redelivery and store credit options, and at the moment you don’t need a group to get the 5% store credit with every purchase which is a new promotion for the store, and may change to include other options in the future. Once you purchase something the credit you have gained will be said in chat, but you can also find little store credit posters around the store near the entrances and click them to find out your balance. Once you have enough for something you right click the item, then choose menu then credit and it will ask you if you want to use your credit balance, and then yay you are done.
The first item to go gaga over are the Dhara boots, these are really cool in that they are kind of a mix of worker boot and western boot, which just makes them must haves. The other great thing about them is that they come in two options, one being resizer scripted and the other is modify, so you can resize manually, which can come in handy if you want to fit them over other mesh items like pants or leggings.
These leggings shown are not mesh though, just regular system layers, but the prints are really nice, and are called folklore leggings and with the boots are just too pretty. The tanks worn are called Trapeze Tanks, and first off I really like the backs of these, not only because of the great shoulder blade baring style, but also because they are slightly longer back there, and it creates a lovely look and a great silhouette. The tanks come in regular or dipped effect, and either way they are also must haves.
The last items of the league release, and so pretty! are the dipped feather earrings and necklaces, you can only see the necklaces in the post, but they can be purchased in five different metal options, and come with four sizes as well as either black or brown cord options. The sizing is based loosely on standard sizing so that they fit not only well to the body, but also well over mesh, which is great, they are also mod so you can still edit them if needed. The metal texturing on them is superb they look so real.
Other great accessories are the Ramona items from this months Collabor88 release by Gossamer Jewelry, great studded and chained bangles and bracelets, with a very cool ring to match. The Noodles store is a guest of this month and they made some really fun kitsch items, with the star bangles and rings, and the really awesome armband with hearts worn in the first pic.
Lastly and really gorgeous are the two new styles by ploom. The penny and penny II hairs are all sorts of fabulous, I will definitely see many making Penny their full time hair I am sure, it has that kind of Priscilla Presley meets Amy Whinehouse at the hairdressers kind of thing going on…LOVE! the poses used are also from ploom and some are from the new Lark set recently released, so check those out.
One last thing to mention is that I am wearing a tattoo cheek layer, these are by Pididdle and we took a trip to Kozmetika the other night and fell instantly in love with these as they definitely enhance the cheekbones in such an awesome way, I will be leaving these on for a while I am sure, if not it will be because they fell off lol.

Jump Jump
The other day Whimsy, Anessa and I went to The SWAGfest , the event that is running at the moment. This event is a huge undertaking, so many stores, incredible booths, and so much content. based on a more urban feel. We had a great time swaggering about shopping, even running into Voshie Paine while we were there. When you arrive the landing point will tell you that you better reduce scripts or be booted, so make sure to do that before you go. Also some of the entrances to the stores were too high for us to enter, so page up (jump) is your friend in those instances.
While there I saw these fabulous Army bodysuits by DeetaleZ as well as the fabulous fake teeth Grillz that she has now available. the grillz are fun to have an give you a little more of a unique smile, some even come with braces and diamonds etc, so check those out for sure. The Army bodysuit is super sexy, and can be worn as a top only, but I went with the rawr factor on this one, I could have gone further, as appliers are available, but that I will leave for you to see for yourself.
The colours of the army bodysuit went really well with the new Equestrian boots by Gos, and these are the Autumn colour range, I can see these being released in others down the line, as they are just glorious boots and people will want more of them for sure. If you don’t already know, a few months ago Gospel Vooms cat Archie was hit by a car, and there was a fundraiser to help with vet costs etc. This release has an extra version of the boots for sale, and they come in houndstooth and you can purchase them with the knowledge that the money raised will be going to help the PDSA organisation. You can find all the info on that HERE . I ran over to get mine, because houndstooth is gorgeous and it is such a great cause, and a pay it forward kind of thing, with Gos having been helped in his time of need, he is now helping others…gosh I love Second Life and it’s community ♥

TV is Sleeping
I have been having the last few days off, running around Second Life with Whimsy, Anessa and her Sister Jhuzen who has returned after a few years afk. We had a great time running all over the place, at the same time having to reteach her just about everything because the last two years have been the biggest changes overall. With viewers and mesh being the most obvious.
Taking the days off though and nattering on and on about everything we could, was definitely a wonderful change to the usual routine, it was fun, I strongly suggest everyone takes a day off, even if while still logged in at least once a fortnight. Anessa herself had been having a hiatus of late from her blog On Your Toes, which has been a great shoes focused blog since 2007 and with her 700th post this past week, she has given it a clean out, and will be returning to blogging more regularly as well as featuring more of a whole look, which is great because she has always put together ensembles to feature with the shoes anyway.
All of that definitely worth mentioning seeing as today I am not only featuring some great footwear but also one of her dresses from DCNY, as well as a lovely dress from Fanatik.
The tweed belted dress is mesh and comes in standard sizes, it has this lovely sash ribbon type belted look in red on the various colours available. While I do really like the look, I do pine for the fact that there are no other belt colour options, that may be something they do in a future release though as these were part of their FaMESHed release for the month, so fingers crossed.
The dress is a lovely heavier fabric, and I just love how the Gea top from Celoe fits underneath it, giving it a more autumn/wintery look. The red belt also gave me a chance to pull out some old favourites in the form of the anklets from Maitreya that fit perfectly over the booties by Baiastice.
Other pieces worn with are the great jewelry sets from Maxi’s that are part of this months FAIR event. The tea and cupcakes set is just another reason why mesh is adding so much to the grid, the detailing is superb and the idea of it altogether is just lovely, as the FAIR event is based on the idea of times of the day or night, so this I am guessing is tea time.
Both the tweed dress and the following Pop Collar dresses by DCNY look just great with these platform ankle booties recently released by Baiastice, the ankle booties come in twelve different options, four of which are patterned so you will have to choose which are right for you, or just get them all.
The Pop Collar dress was actually a vintage fair release, and I should have blogged it yonks ago, but I am kind of glad I didn’t now, because with the fabulous hair from Exile that was last weeks release, it just looks so adorable. I also like the versatility of it, wearing it with the stockings all sexy like, or with the shorts from Celoe, for a more casual and carefree look, they both work, also thinking that those collars that come with will make for great accessories for other outfits in the future.
The bag I am wearing with is from The Secret Store and while it made me feel old as soon as I saw it, it also made me giggle at the knowing what it was, as I am old enough (40) to remember when Television did actually close for the night and being so frustrated waking up really early hoping for cartoons and there it would be the place holder telling you that TV was sleeping.
So this bag was a must have as soon as I saw it, and I got to feel young and crazy while in the store the other day with the girls, as the lovely Maylee and NyuNyu joined us and we played gestures and danced and had so much fun for an hour or so while shopping.
Another great accessory is the watch from Redgrave, it has been years since I have worn an SL watch and this one is just beautiful in the style and detailing and it does tell the correct time.
The hairstyle in the first pic is from Boon, it is an attachment style with the middle part hair base, you can buy the hairbases for the styles as a full pack for 100L but you do have to see which hairbase works with which style as they do vary, but are easily accessible next to the hair that goes with.
The other style is from Exile, and the flowers are just so delicate and sweet, a must have for everyone to enjoy. I do really enjoy when Exile releases hair with such pretty accessories or features, more of that is coming soon I hope.

Lets get Sirius now
So many colours and prints to choose from with the latest Boom release. I am wearing a medium size in the top, because I had a bit of clipping at the shoulders – this will vary AO to AO , which gave me a more buxom look which I am not going to lie, is not a hated look in our household.
The cropped style of the top made that possible, as the larger size was only in the top and didn’t add volume to the waist area, so definitely a fast and fun way to be all upper body wowza lol. I really like the fetish one the best, especially seeing as I had these wicked high boots from Utopia to wear with. It has been a long time since I have seen a Utopia release, and these boots are so hot, the HUD that comes with gives so many options for details, as well as pre-sets you can just choose from. I included pics of the HUD so you can see for yourself how much detailing can be done.
The boots also come with the options of zipper on the outside or not, so they really are a great boot for the upcoming winter looks, but as well as some incredible ensembles. The rings I am wearing are from Fanatik and there are two different style types in gold or silver options, I especially like the Gothic themed ones the best as the skully and large gemstone is really cool. Other hotness is the latest Anya hair from Ploom that was just released and this pigtails style with the awesome rolled back bangs is a must have style.

Visor Vis
FaMESHed always has such a range of items each month, and September has been a mix and mash of all sorts of styles, from clothing to furniture and hair, it all works. The two dresses shown today are from this months session, and be sure to snap them up because the style is so easy to wear, and comes in really nice colours. The razorback dresses come in short or long versions, and I really like the stripe featured, which is showing up more and more on fashion at the moment and creates a nice break to an otherwise solid scheme.
I really like razorback tank styles, especially having broad shoulders, as it does give a little more to the look. The dresses are by Nyu and they are sized with numbers, so I had to kind of guess at a size, but ended up a 3 and as I wear a small in dresses usually that works out close enough for me. Make sure to try the demos though, as regardless of sizing options, all mesh moves differently and can’t always be exact with different styles and creators, so be safe and DEMO DEMO DEMO.
I got to wear the gorgeous necklace combination by Maxi’s for Collabor88/September as well, yesterday the earrings, today the necklaces, the strands of gold with the triangle pieces is just beautiful to wear in all of its parts.
The hair I am wearing with these great dresses is the other new style from Exile which is She’s So Mean, and it is so pretty. I loved how it looks with the visor from lelutka so much, lots of fun and a lovely accessory adding more to the style. I wore the other new style so you could see the back of the dress, but I will feature that style another day, another post…stay tuned.
