Ruffled – My Attic, Collabor88/August

I was out and about shopping with Mel last night, and we found ourselves at Vista Animations. I have done posts many times where I have stated that I use animations as well as static poses for my posts, well todays pics were actually taken with dances by Vista. Their dances selection has grown a lot since I was last there, and the fat packs of each type are definitely worth considering as they are a good saving.

With animated poses/dances, the best way to shoot the pics is to use ‘slow motion animation‘ settings. You will find that function in Develop menu. To get develop menu up, you first need the Advanced menu (Ctrl Alt D) then scroll down to the bottom and activate Develop Menu, then you can find it in the Avatar sub-menu. This will slow you down enough to capture some great shots.

With all this movement, I wanted some hair with movement, and Felice from EMO-tions has lots of it. This hair is very entertaining, it is transition hair, meaning it is scripted to change from one style to another, and was a big hit at Hair Fair. I swear I did a whole lap of the fair changing my hair back and forth over and over again and giggling to myself. Transition hair is not new to Second Life, but this style is one of the best I have seen of this type.

Another advantage to using animations and dances, is that you really get a good look at how mesh moves with your avatar. The first outfit has these wonderful frill shorts from G*field. They really remind me of 80’s tiered skirts, and are so much fun and a great fit. The socks and bolero are also G*field and I need to wear both a lot more often as I just love the ruffled edging on both.

The second look is with the Dorota top from Glam Affair, which is part of their Collabor88/August items. The classic elegance of this top is just divine, with the ribbon along the empire line, but with that modern mullet effect short front long back look that is definitely popular at the moment. I am wearing it with the Zoey leather pants from Erratic that are just great, but would look just as wonderful with a skirt or even hotpants underneath. I did have to wear a larger option of shirt so that the back didn’t clip with the leggings. I also added the Deliciosa bra – part of the My Attic release from Cynful – to both looks, the first it of course covered up everything, but I also loved adding the red edging that peeks out the top of the Dorota shirt.

Lastly and also from Erratic, the Amy silk blouse is a shirt that I have seen on so many fashionable women of late, and rightly so. The loose fit, the wonderful cleavage and the perfectly collar are just some of the great attributes of this blouse. The colours are rich and lovely, but I cannot help but wonder what it would look like with a print as well, curiosity wise of course. Erratic has been releasing amazing mesh and more to look forward to.
