Hair Fair 2024 – Wasabi Flair
Mixing things up, wearing things in different ways, it is what makes Second Life the most fun…and Hair Fair 2024 – CLOSES 16th June at Midnight, so you have all weekend to shop – brings that out in me the most. I also had a little Hare jealousy going on from the other days piglet photobombing, so I just had to do a pic with one of this years Hair Fair Hares (Hearts & Crafts) isn’t he adorable, thank you again to Anya Ohmai for donating the Hares to the event for use each year to raise funds for Wigs for Kids.
Wasabi, has always made sure to make their items in ways that people may choose to use them differently when possible, and the Sun hair is no exception, it comes with an adorable tied bandana/scarf look around the top, and is just delightful for Summer. Wasabi did give the option to turn that off though, which means that you can wear other Hair Accessories with it, or go completely without, you do you.I did me! This is the first year that Flair – the brand I co-create for with my incredible partner Mel Vanbeeck – are actually not only overseers of the event itself, but are participating. We made two exclusives and this is one of them, the Lilyfield Ruffle headband. When you spend as much time in conversation as I do with Gogo and Sparkle, you end up with a lot of ruffles and a lot of pink in your minds eye. So this headband was born, and I just love to add things to hair as you know, so the mixing of the two things, the fun Summery look by Wasabi and the headband just worked so well for me. I hope you like them both very much too.

Hair Fair 2024 – Beusy Chou
I do love me some nautical looks, and the plushie heart hairclips by Chou has a galaxy theme print on one of them, and that just made me think of being out in the sea and the top was just perfect, with this adorable style by Beusy for the hair. The Peridot style is so many things, it comes across very girly, carefree daytime fun. Then it lends itself to a more mature look from a past era, think housework by 11am and then martinis for lunch. I do live a lot inside my head. There is a style HUD for the bangs, letting you turn them off completely and giving you that ability to wear others, or use have these long lovely side ones. I really want to see how cool this style looks with a visor hat now too, anyone for tennis? Hair Fair 2024 – Yomi
Just when you think it is safe on your platform/studio, along comes a Fancy Piggy, courtesy of my awesome friend Sparkle Skye, who sent me her this morning. Once rezzed and realising, she is way more Sassy than I am – she gets the extra S. I just had to try and be as cool as her with my Yomi hair, which is so gorgeous in its Scene hair way. We had a lot of scene styles back in the day, and this one is definitely reminiscent of that vibe. There is a separate purchase style HUD, and I think I got all the hairs available Exclusive and past releases in the Yomi booth at Hair Fair, because I was loving everything. The colour huds are abundant also, so you have a lot of options, in this style I went with the dark roots versions, and then of course spent another few minutes deciding which colour…but really like to keep on theme colour wise. There were event tintable versions of the Alaska Metro Laminate lashes to give a bit of a red look to. Winning! Hair Fair 2024 – Exile She Said Destroy
I am certainly living my best Hybrid Hair SLife this year with Hair Fair styles. I took this fabulous exclusive style by Exile called Kory, and added the Bettie bangs and strands from She Said Destroy, also available at Hair Fair 2024. I love all these bits and pieces that you can turn into completely different looks, it gives you that edge – much like BOM – to your wardrobe. If you can add a little something that makes you stand out from the crowd, then go for it.
I also love the behind shoulders option in the styling HUD that Exile gives for this style, you get the forward left or right, but also behind shoulders, which makes it much easier to get dressed.

Hair Fair 2024 – Sintiklia #187#
I am feeling mighty again, this time though, with that kind of classic movies twist, where I host a fancy club/restaurant by day and then am ready to stab someone with my hair-stick, or drop some poison from the lotus into someone’s cocktail – I have a very good imagination when it comes to my Hair Fair combinations it seems.
Sintiklia made this braided bun/updo style, and it is giving all the looks, with the 5 options of wear with the HUD. Also a nifty materials selection as well. I like that it can be tailored to your vibe of that day, because updo’s especially are a real thinker, you either need them in the moment – which is why it was very normal to see girls in ballgowns shopping in hair stores in the older days – or you fall in love with them and then have to work them into your wardrobe, this one is an easy fit, because it has that very grand elegance to it, but can definitely go casual.
I had no particular hair in mind though when I bought this divine hairstick from #187# though, the fact that they came together so well is just…Bloggers Fate :P. But aside from my silly, it is just glorious, and so many options in the HUD for colour combinations. It feels otherworldly and just something one has to have, to round out their inventory.

Hair Fair 2024 – No Match
Creativity abounds, and this exclusive style from No.Match this year at Hair Fair is wonderful. You get multiple styles in one, or you can actually just wear them as stand alone styles, that way you are not wearing extra mesh for no reason. That is some smart thinking right there. The hair is animated, has such lovely animations also, you also get a hairdryer and brush to use. This is every photographer and role-players dream style to have. The ponytail and bun versions included are just the perfect everyday hairs, and having an excuse to rez out one of my many outdoor showers was great. The idea of showers at the beach is fairly common in Oz, so that you can get off all the sand and saltwater before getting in your car, or catching a bus home as the case may be. Some great BOM layers from Izzie’s helped for that realism.

Hair Fair 2024 – PADO Tardfish
A few styles have made me feel all mighty this year, and this PADO style with the addition of the adorable Birdy Tug Hair accessories by Tardfish is doing that again. I feel like I am a character in one of those ‘Kids of Superheroes/Mythology Gods Movies’ I of course am too old now to be the kid, but I am definitely one of the teachers or counselors that make appearances every 48 minutes. This hairstyle is lovely and sleek sided, but with the addition of these cute wing pins, I am Super Duper. The pins are separate and not rigged, so you can put them anywhere really, which is very cool.
The Tardfish accessories are very cute, the tendrils just fit against any hair you have, and the little birdies just flitter/animate about doing their thing. Because it can go with any style of hair, that is why you can feel Super Duper, or like a Disney Princess, your choice.
This look also gave me the chance to wear this outfit from Fashionably Dead, because it too made me feel Super :D.

Hair Fair 2024 – Augenweide The Little Bat
I am an 80s teen, I was in the perfect age when Rude Girls kind of did a second run through Australia, to really appreciate the beauty of the ‘look’, but it was definitely not something I would do to my own hair. I just had to admire it from afar, or close up, depending on the day. I knew one Rude Girl who had that perfect Elfish/Pixie look to her, other worldly kind of thing, that when she went Rude she did it like no other. I love hairbases, and I love add on styles, so when I put on this gorgeous hairbase from Augenweide – I can type that without looking, thank you Thorny for giving me new skills – I saw instantly what I wanted to turn it into. I grabbed the wisps from the Platinum hair add on style I showed the other day with the buns, and copy pasted them a few times to give a bit more, then added the adorable Kawaii clips from The Little Bat and made this Rude Girl look that I just love.
Again my inventory does not disappoint, because I knew I had the perfect dress from Pixicat to pull this all together. While I did not know it by name, a quick search of Pixicat + Dress + Reborn had me find it in moments. I love that we can still hybrid hairs in SL, that we are provided with the unrigged tools to pull that off, it really makes for some fun. That all the components are available at Hair Fair just makes it even better.

Hair Fair 2024 – Truth Sparkle Skye
I knew as soon as I saw this adorable fascinator hat by Sparkle Skye, what I was going to wear it with. Then the whole look came together, and when you have an inventory like mine, it is no wonder you have street lights just laying around for prop use – mind you they are also the same street lights I used at Hair Fair, so that tracks. I loved the idea of a dapper look, with the fascinator being so girly and feminine, I wanted to even out the scales there and add a bit of masculine to the look. Then it turned into a whole singing in the rain kind of vibe, and what better hair to pull that off with than the Breeze style by Truth.
What I like most about this hair, is that with the settings options for style, you can tame it down or really lean into the wind. Lucky my Kaori Mini Hat is well pinned on. Again I am playing around with the lovely colour options of this style, actually adding the streaks option for the soft greyish pink to the more grey overall colour, it really came out lovely just a subtle add to give more realism.
I have mentioned my underwear a few times this week, so wanted to point out that the bustier portion of the suit, is sheer, but can also be turned off…now we know I do not do sheer with nothing under, so I grabbed one of the newer underwear sets by Nuve the cherry set, and tinted the white lace away, and it was the perfect fit – I love me some mod! The hat is also mod, and I am going to be making it different sizes in future for different looks for sure. It also comes with net or silk fabric options, as well as feature options of colours depending on what packs you purchase.

Hair Fair 2024 – BlkBuni MyBags
I love the imagination of Second Life content creators, such as the case with this adorable netted hat by MYBags. It gives Steamboat Willy vibes – that is allowed now he is public domain…or kind of like a member of the extended family in mourning, either way I am here for it. What is even more funna, is that the style of hair from BlkBuni came with UNRIGGED – does a little dance – versions of the braids, so I was able to wiggle here and prod there and get them to sit well under the hat.
Again combinations of hats and add ons, just make for good clean fun. It is really fun to take the inspiration a creator had, and then just run all over with it, and make it your own. I am so glad we have such opportunities here, and it definitely gives me something to talk about. I added a nice red nod with the Legend earrings by Mandala, they are so fluffy and beautiful, with a lot of customising options, so the perfect accompaniment to the look.
