    Forget me Knot

Sasy Scarborough - Forget me Knot

I enjoy good word play, a great pun is something delightful. Pairing up the Opalite set and all its lovely bows, with the Elena hair and its adorable bow back cap, had me enjoying the girly of it all, while still having that streetwear edge. I had fun with my picture because I felt like with all these bows to remind me of something, apparently I forgot my keys. I had to create this outside doorway scene because of the lovely suncatcher by Sparke Skye that is still available at the FLF Birthday Bash that I mentioned in a previous post. There are four different colour themes and it spins slowly from the virtual breeze and twinkles, it is just a beautiful expression of stained glass design and I know that the creator herself actually has a passion for this craft in RL, so it is always nice to see those things overlap.

Speaking of overlap, you will not see that with this set, the team at The Kiwi Co. set up their set to include a jeans tucked version of the bodysuit, which makes for a great ability to wear them without concern of clipping. The jeans also have enough give that you will probably get a great result with other bodysuits you may have, which just makes it a must have combination, that and the fact that you can also hide and show the bows, so they have more versatility across looks, always a bonus.

Again speaking of versatility, the hair by Navy and Copper has so many options in the cap, it has strapped closure, or the bow, so pretty, with piercings at the brim or no piercings at all, metal options and it has leather or suede texture sets, and we all know I love hat/hair so this is a winner for sure.

Also at the FLF Birthday Bash was this skin by Glam Affair, that I purchased in both packs, because one never knows how one is going to feel season to season, we don’t all tan or pale out the same way all the time. Packs like these heavily discounted and coming in all the tones is a great way to really see what your default you may end up being, or for that matter how many defaults you plan to have. You may really lean into the seasonal changes in skin tone, and this is an awesome way to test that. Sometimes we just choose one tone starting out and never move from it, in fear now more than ever of the cost associated with past purchases, but don’t limit yourself that way, bust out of that, because you may find out you are an Autumn and not a Spring after all – pretends to be one of those people at the makeup counter giving all the advice on highlights and your colour composite.

Another fun item I picked up at The Bash, I seriously just want to keep calling it that now…is the headphones by FACS, these are such a cute little item, and while they should be on my ears etc, the great part of Second Life is being able to just move things, make them work how you feel they work best for you, and I just liked the idea of pulling them down, wearing them around my neck and maybe the music is still playing and I can hear it that way, or maybe I turned them off to help me understand where on earth did I put my darn keys.

Hair Fair 2026 – Ade, AlaskaMetro and Ni-Ju

Ade AlaskaMetro & NiJu @ Hair Fair 2026

This years Hair Fair has had me changing my black hair look, more so than usual, or it feels that way after not blogging in a year. I also realised today that because of that I rarely look at my face. In Second Life I could be walking around without a face entirely. This hair by ADE has me wanting to look at myself all day long, the style is so beautiful and feminine and I just love that chatanooga choo choo of it all. I feel like I could walk into a Private Eyes office and convince him I am the innocent party, while it was me all along dun dun dunnnnn. I could have Gene Kelly sing a song about me that turns into a whole musical on rollerskates – if you know you know.

I knew that the Lucia hair was going to also be the perfect stage of the wonder that is the Kanzashi hair accessory by Ni-Ju. I saw it, and knew I just had to have it. What I didn’t know, because I bought it so fast I didn’t even bother to look if there was information I should be paying attention to, but it was a pleasant surprise to find out that there are left and right versions in three different looks, and I have two of the looks on in this ensemble, which is just awesome and makes me so happy.

Also making me happy, and a lovely balance with the hair colour change is the AlaskaMetro brows that are her exclusive for Hair Fair. They are going to definitely go into my rotation, as it is usually only AlaskaMetro that I change brows for from Nuve, so between the two of them I am covered and beautifully so. I also like how Alaska includes a lower option of brow, because while we do have brow shapes that change the height, arch and so on of our brows, having the brows themselves sit differently on the UV can make a world of difference to a look, so well done Alaska…always innovating.

Other things that make me happy, is going back to Hourglass by Slink because I realised that I was limiting myself so much with wearing Reborn and I had my ideal inventory already. That is not to say that I will not go back and forth, and I am lucky to be able to do so, but most of the posts have been Hourglass, and I am loving diving back into my items, because the way Second Life works and the fact that most items I have catered to multiple bodies, they are all still relevant, and as I have always said, everything old is new to someone, and I do love my older COCO ♥

Hair Fair is open until June 14th and ALL purchases made at the event donate to Wigs for Kids, Exclusives and previous releases. Not all stores have previous releases out, but so many do, so it gives you a real taste of what the stores have created over time, and some things you may have missed that donate with each purchase, a great way to get it all in at once.
