Hair Fair 2026 – High 5 Loveholic and Monso
Watching the process of Autumn of High 5 set up her booth each year is a treat, she just keeps going, and going, and going, and it is like watching a story come to life… and this time at the end of all her hard work she even spent time cleaning up. Before I saw her pull out the mop, I had mentioned that her booth reminded me of a 1950’s home expo you see in movies. While there was only me in these pics, I really hope I captured enough of the vibe of this amazing piece at Hair Fair.
The Vintage Salon Dryer set is just amazing, the whole set is animated for solo use or a group of gossiping girls or boys getting their hair done. The textures are amazing, the seating looks like a quick spray and wipe and NEXT! it is so realistic looking, I admire it every time I walk, run, fly past. The animations are so fun, there are gossip animations, that actually have you elbowing the person in the dryer next to you to engage with them…that was my favourite, but because I was solo I did the only thing I could think of and added a cellphone so that it looked like I was gossiping to someone somewhere else. There are so many options, even a consultant standing in front of you running through your options if you like, and as mentioned at the end someone comes by with a mop and clean up in aisle five, High 5 that is.
We are only a week in and I have had a lot of use out of the Linda hair by Loveholic at Hair Fair, I ended up using it for a video for Flair, and I just love the work that went into this in rollers style, and it works perfectly with the props of the Vintage Salon, especially seeing as the dryers stay up or down, so you can be encased in your Linda look. Not only does the hair have the hair and rollers, but also tendrils of loose curls that just add that realism, but another absolute win is that the hair base is the most beautiful finger curls base, that you could and should wear on its own. I loved it so much I included a pic.
My outfit was based on the idea that girls that salon, are going to do so not only looking fabulous but feeling comfortable, and what better way to show that than in leopard print sweats.
Then after those curls are let out and the hair is a whole gorgeous look, such as this Shy style by Monso for their Hair Fair exclusive, this style is so beautiful. I was chatting to a girl at the booth who is not usually a shorter hair wearer, and she just loved it. I feel the combination of Linda to Shy works so well, that I used that in my Flair video too. But Shy by name not by nature is the outcome, because getting my twirly dress groove on and out on the town I go.
Hair Fair is open until June 14th and ALL purchases made at the event donate to Wigs for Kids, Exclusives and previous releases. Not all stores have previous releases out, but so many do, so it gives you a real taste of what the stores have created over time, and some things you may have missed that donate with each purchase, a great way to get it all in at once.

Hair Fair 2026 – Analog Dog – I AM TOPANGA
I put this hair on at Hair Fair 2026 and started bouncing in my seat…I AM TOPANGA! and honestly I want to, and don’t want to tell you what that means. If you know you know, and if you do not know, you really should, and no one wants me to start lecturing you on your T.V watching habits, because someone may start lecturing me on mine. Let me just say that as soon as I found it was something I could see all seasons of on a streaming service, I clicked SUBSCRIBE so fast, then binged the whole thing in as long as it takes to only do that.
It makes sense to me that Analog Dog would create Topanga hair, it is just so perfect, the thick heaviness of the hair that cannot be tamed, and if you try you wish you hadn’t, because it is just gorgeous and heavy and beautiful. Last year Analog Dog hair was life changing too, the advertised colour was a mix with purple, and that does not go down with me usually, but I was in awe of how gorgeous the demo looked in that colour, that I bought it and wore the purple pink mix for a week. This year again I went with the mix pack, because the fade looks are just divine, and you also get some great solids in there. This comes in the left and right and both sides option with the hud, so I showed both the one siders.
I knew I had to lean in with the look, and this bandana top is a favourite of mine, in the prints and the solids, it is actually a gift in the Fashionably Dead Mainstore, and it is stunning, with these newer shorts, that have options to change the cords, the frills and the denim etc, so much versatility it all came together as a look perfectly.
Then you add in these bow sneakers by Breathe, that allow for a lot of customisation as well, and you have such a great combination of colours. I could wear this look for weeks and be blissed out every time I log in.
Hair Fair is open until June 14th and ALL purchases made at the event donate to Wigs for Kids, Exclusives and previous releases. Hair Fair 2026 – Wasabi
It is often that I find myself wearing Wasabi in blues…I am not sure why, but she just makes hair that looks fabulous in dye pack colours. I was very into the scarf hair look in the 90’s I wore my hair like that often, so this style just makes me blissfully happy. The only opinion I have on this is that I want more options of textures for the scarf and I want a whole range of solid colours, but the prints are so on point, it was the scarf that created the whole look. The style has the option of with or without scarf which is very generous of Wasabi to do, as that is a whole other hairstyle you get included. Then you have the falling front on one side option or the face showing option, I liked both so I used both in my picture, as that is just how that would work if I was standing around outside posing for pics.
This dress by Fashionably dead comes in a long variation also, but the short was just perfect for this day strolling look I was going for, however I cannot lie, the fact that the bottom is lace and comes with mesh underwear is a tad out of my normal comfort zone, I was struggling to remove my BOM underwear…at this point it was pretty much fused with my body. But the outfit is so adorable, I just know though that leggings in BOM layers is how I would more likely wear it out, but with the blue hair I was feeling adventurous – GO ME!
The dress and scarf hair had such a country girl in the city feeling for me, so the heels that think they are cowboy boots that think they are stilettos were just a no brainer. How cute are they, it is funny, because when you see hybrid footwear like this in RL magazines or pinterest etc, you may tend to scrunch up your face and think those people are nuts, but put them in Second Life and we are all in, and rightly so.

Hair Fair 2026 – No.Match Zibska & Nuve
The Zibska booth at Hair Fair 2026 is filled to the brim with stunning accessories. They all contain full texture HUDs and the ability in many cases to wear left or right, or full versions of the item. This Chinatsu set comes in left and right stick and then left and right falling petals, so there are so many combinations of wear.
I knew instantly that it was the perfect accessory for the No.Proof Hair by No.Match also at Hair Fair 2026, they compliment each other so well. The hair has forward of the shoulders or behind the back options on the styles panel of the HUD for the hair – options are fabulous.
From Fashionably Dead this Midnight top and skirt are so beautiful and the fabric choice is spot on. I loved being able to combine the colours of the accessories with the plentiful options of the clothing and that top is a dream to wear, it would look amazing also with pants.
In this case though I really wanted to show off the detailing of these gorgeous heels by Breathe. The Shibari like strapwork at the full lifted platforms of the soles just made them must haves to wear with this look, everything feel all bound and fabulous.
You can see my brows better in this style, these are one of the exclusives at Hair Fair from Nuve, who is my often go to brows dealer. I love their thickness but very curated look. Nuve definitely gives great brow.

It is always fun piecing together a look that combines different texture styles, the structured wool of the shorts, with the billowy cotton of the top, then down to the leather work in the boots. When done right it is a great feeling to have the luxury of choices that we have in Second Life. I had so much trouble deciding on which option of these shorts to wear, they are by Lamb and they are so cute. I especially love the ring pull on the zipper of them, because it is just a cute little detail. The top by Fashionably Dead is giving so much gypsy, and pulls off the off shoulder look so well. My favourite parts are also the incredible texture work on the elastic waist and details giving it such realism, superb work. The top of course lead to my jewellery choices by Sigma, the coin necklace definitely brought the gypsy look home and the rings are just fabulous fun. Both sets come in PBR or classic textures, so you can have a great time putting together your looks with them.
It was time to get my brows done, and Nuve again did not disappoint. These are the Maya brows, that were made for the Maya skin, of which I am not wearing, I love the versatility of Nuve brows that they can be worn across skin lines. These are a little thinner than I usually wear, but they have a lovely swoosh look to them that I like. They also look great with my feathery looking hairstyle by Exile. The shorts gave me another chance to rock out in my Mellow Elie boots, they are so cute, and have an option that will also work with longer pants, but loved them with the shorts.

Skin Fair 2025 – Rash & Mignonne
Honestly at this point Premium Plus Lifetime is my entertainment retirement plan. I cackled to myself the whole time setting up this picture, because not only are the aged skins by Rash at Skin Fair really amazing to see on, but I honestly was too amused by Mignonnes release of “chicken neck’ at Skin Fair also. I mean there is no denying we are all aging, some of us more recently than others, everywhere I turned this past few weeks I have walked into a Pisces. So as I was saying, having one of the coveted Premium Plus lifetime accounts means that this image is more possible than one would have planned. Second Life itself better be here still, or I will be a cranky old lady. I am nearing the third of the way mark, coming up to 19 years in just over a month. So if you are still here in 41 years, come say hello.
Rash actually released some aged male skins also, and while I almost did go down that route, it was a little too much for me this time. Worth having a look if you like roleplay scenarios, because the male skins are the kind of guys you will purchase a video player from the back of their truck looking dudes. Or that guy in movies that works the front desk at some sleazy motel, all works and are all fabulous.
The chicken neck is an add on layer, and so funny, not only because of the aging factor, but just the name itself was too fun. It comes in many skin tones, so if you are looking for that further enhancement for an aged skin, then check them out. Only a few more days left to visit Skin Fair, so make sure you take a few runs around this event. I love that the black pack of this hairstyle has a nice blend of black and grey, so it made it so much easier to add to that aged look and it is a great butterfly clipped updo.

Bubbling Over
Did you know? It has been announced as part of the February Membership Mania, that mesh uploads will be free for all Premium Plus users, starting in the next few weeks…however if you visit the Sandbox at Radiantia you can upload for free now. I myself went over and checked this, so it does in fact work now, so do not wait on the few weeks, get to saving. If you are not already a Premium Plus subscriber, I urge you to look into the features that having an account like that includes, because it was already robust and in the last few weeks it has gained even more, I went to bed with 703 prim allowance for my home and woke up with 937.
After my upload test, I was feeling more girly than usual. Fashionably Dead just released this superb bolero (fluff on and off options) and tank set — seriously I think I live in this tank now — that gives a lot of ballerina. It is a release for the Dubai event, and there are also some jeans I cannot wait to wear. However the girliness was strong, and I remembered the Butter skirt by Mellow Elie was going to be the thing that I needed to pull off a girl about town look. The soft flow of the skirt has such great fluidity to it, that I hope to see more like it in future.
The shoes by Breathe gave me a choice of fishnet or polka dots for the sock portion, and it was a neck and neck race to the finish but ultimately the dots won, that and the bows strengthen the vibe and I am feeling my Emily in Paris kind of moment. You can change all the parts separately, but I liked the all one colour look, this is actually one of the fatpack special colours. To make sure my bag matched, I was able to go into edit and tint the handles and heart so that it was more in keeping with the palette I had started, though there are so many colours to choose from via the bags HUD. Also adjusted for the look are these earrings by Yummy, part of their Beachy Boho collection, these are the bubbles earrings and I upped their size a fair bit and love the outcome so much. The Monso hair has a behind shoulders option, that as you know by now I will nearly always prefer, and that gave a proper visual line to the earrings. This half updo style is so cute and I wore one of my own headbands — by Flair — atop it, just to bring all the colours together.

Mainstore Monday – AlaskaMetro (who saw that coming)
Did You Know: In the FIRESTORM viewer (and possibly others), you can ‘Protect’ folders in your inventory, locking them in place so they can’t be accidentally deleted or moved. To enable this, simply right-click the folder and select “Protect.” This is an incredibly useful feature, especially for content creators, to safeguard their work.
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of AlaskaMetro—not just her makeup, skins, and clothing/lingerie, but also her work as an overall content creator and Second Life resident. Her folder in my inventory is one of the few I’ve protected using Firestorm’s tools. I’ve been using AlaskaMetro’s creations for years, with blog posts dating back to at least 2008 (on this blog). I had the pleasure of first interacting with her during Another Fundraiser, a massive project where she helped select the benefiting charity. Her philanthropic nature shines through—she often participates in events that donate proceeds to charity and creates bandanas for Hair Fair every year.
At one point, Alaska even attempted to revolutionise Second Life itself. With help from another creator, Namssor, she created a way to replace the default Second Life skin by editing the base files on your hard drive. This was groundbreaking before tattoo layers existed.
Let me paint a picture: before tattoo layers, we had one of each wearable layer—skin, socks, gloves, shoebase, hair, underpants, undershirt, pants, shirt, and jacket (the jacket layer did all the heavy lifting). There were no alphas, no tattoos, no stacked layers. It was medieval. Alaska’s innovation, called Synergy, allowed users to replace the default skin, freeing up the skin layer for customisation. This essentially created a workaround for the non-existent tattoo layer. She invited bloggers like me to test and share this concept, providing all the tools and guidance we needed. This was back in 2009 and remains one of the most exciting memories I have of her and her work. I wouldn’t be surprised if it directly influenced the implementation of tattoo and stacked layers in Second Life.
Alaska is that kind of creator—always pushing boundaries to enhance our experience. Every makeup item has a demo, product images make finding your look easy, and her store layout is intuitive. On her marketplace, she even has a secondary outlet for older creations at fantastic discounts. I once opened 81 tabs to buy everything I didn’t already own!
Her range is stunning, from delicate, wistful lingerie to bold, editorial makeup. She’s incredibly inclusive, creating products like flat chest skin layers for add-ons and other niche needs. If you’re not already an AlaskaMetro customer, visit her main store, play dress-up with the demos, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
I’m wearing AlaskaMetro skin, makeup, and adorable foil freckles that I love. Whether you’re going for a soft look or high-impact glamour, you’ll find it all. I’ve also layered a lovely camisole underneath for a subtle touch. The jeans are by The Kiwi Co. and are absolute must-haves! They include an “inside boots” option, making them perfect for pairing with these chunky, fur-lined, lace-up boots. This feature is so thoughtful, even if it doesn’t work with every boot. The sweater is another standout by Fashionably Dead, with both long and short versions. The oversized sleeves are so fun, completely covering the hands for that cosy, wiggly-fingers vibe.
Finally, let’s talk about this hair by Monso. It’s inspired by Jinx from Arcane—this is the Jinx 2 style. I love its shorter length with tendrils and flyaways. I even switched up my usual black hair for a punky soft pink with dark roots. It’s such a cool look!

Training Day
Did you know: System/BOM Clothing layers, when modifiable, come with their own sliders in edit mode. These sliders allow for adjustments in various directions, offering more than just tinting options. This opens up creative possibilities to use the layers in ways beyond their original purpose. If you’re including these layers in your product, please leave them modifiable—you never know what unique results users might achieve!
It is no secret that I absolutely love BOM (Bakes on Mesh) and the ability to layer looks because of it. We definitely had an easier time creating unique styles when working with system layers exclusively in the past. Being able to utilise it now with mesh gives a lot back and can expand your wardrobe in many ways—some you may not have even thought of.
This look today was built from the tubetop up. I had actually gone to wear it and felt it was a bit too flesh-revealing. Some days you don’t mind, and some days you do. I scoured my inventory for a T-shirt and found one that was a tad longer than the tubetop but had a knotted look to it. While a flat, longer shirt would have been fine, the knot didn’t work. I opened it up in edit mode, it being delightfully modifiable and all, and worked the sliders to make it shorter, sliding it under the tubetop lengthwise while keeping the high neck and sleeves. The result? A layered look I loved. I was all ready to show it to you in the future.
Then I was wowed by these boots. As I live in the future, if you see this and still have time, you can pick them up for a discounted price. However, even if you miss the sale, they’re so worth their regular price—especially if you’re a ballet boot fan. I am, and these are not my first boots of this kind from Azoury. Honestly, if you look at their releases over the years, you have to wonder what goes on in the minds of the creators at that brand—it must be wonderful to have that kind of imagination. These boots come in both classic (it’s funny we call them that now) and PBR texture options. They also come as separate left and right leg attachments. At first, I wondered why, and then realised: obviously, you might have a robot leg or something else on one side and only need one boot. I love that they cater to that thought. Azoury makes products for such scenarios, and from experience, I know there are customers who specifically seek separate footwear.
The style of these boots is undeniably ballet-inspired, with incredible leather work. But it’s the metal encasement at the toes that has me imagining all sorts of barbaric training methods. It’s not just a look—it’s a whole vibe, and I love it.
I had them on, paired with my tubetop and tee. At first, I was wearing random shorts but then realised the creasing details in this mini skirt by Cynful matched the style of the boots perfectly. The skirt’s intricate detailing really stands out for something so small—I had to pause and giggle because it is a tiny skirt. Tiny, but with so much emphasis, and I adore that. It’s actually part of a set that includes a bodysuit with a glorious back design, but that’s for another time.
Just when I thought I was ready, lightning struck—or rather, I stumbled across an ad on social media announcing that KillJoy had released some sleeves. Stop the presses! Off I went, because, as you may know, arm warmers and sleeve add-ons are my bliss. These were a must-have, and they were reduced in price at the time, so I didn’t delay. You might not think you need these now, but trust me, you will in the future.
While I was already dressed, and some might pair these sleeves with a sleeveless look, I loved how they transitioned between my BOM layers, the tubetop, and everything else. They added so much versatility to the outfit. It’s a texture soup, and that makes me so happy. I did increase the gloss on my body for the photo, which added a shine to the T-shirt. While I prefer the matte cotton look without it, the sheen worked well for the picture. You can play around with these settings as you like. The sleeves themselves have three texture panels to choose from: latex, leather, and satin, with some offering extra detailing beyond solid colours.
I finished off the look with this hair I’ve been living in for the past few days. Typical for me, I went to grab No.Match’s latest release at Fameshed—you may have seen it in my previous post and video about the new in-browser Second Life testing phase—but then ended up at the No.Match store itself. I grabbed two more styles and ended up using the third purchase instead of the first. That’s just how I roll.

Sometimes you can be a bit of both things, types of people or types of taste. This outfit by Tee*fy has all the frills, bows and lace of a good girl, but the length, the reveal and the corsetry of someone a little more naughty. I like the mix, the tongue in cheek innocence of it all, and the options are awesome for prints and colours. The little lamb headband by Mewsery does not hurt for bringing together that look, with the devil horns aspect which I have turned off going even further to show that there may be a little devil in all of us. The headband also has an amazing HUD full of options to change colours and make your own fun combinations.
This hair by Monso is a very girly hair too, not only just because it has a lovely braid, but it is one of those styles that shows how girls will just grab all the long bits and tie them out of the way, or braid/plait them etc, and I love that messy layered control look of it all. I was feeling a bit cold with the bare arms so added these armbands I found in my inventory, that apparently came with boots! go figure lol, they are cute though.
