Training Day
Did you know: System/BOM Clothing layers, when modifiable, come with their own sliders in edit mode. These sliders allow for adjustments in various directions, offering more than just tinting options. This opens up creative possibilities to use the layers in ways beyond their original purpose. If you’re including these layers in your product, please leave them modifiable—you never know what unique results users might achieve!
It is no secret that I absolutely love BOM (Bakes on Mesh) and the ability to layer looks because of it. We definitely had an easier time creating unique styles when working with system layers exclusively in the past. Being able to utilise it now with mesh gives a lot back and can expand your wardrobe in many ways—some you may not have even thought of.
This look today was built from the tubetop up. I had actually gone to wear it and felt it was a bit too flesh-revealing. Some days you don’t mind, and some days you do. I scoured my inventory for a T-shirt and found one that was a tad longer than the tubetop but had a knotted look to it. While a flat, longer shirt would have been fine, the knot didn’t work. I opened it up in edit mode, it being delightfully modifiable and all, and worked the sliders to make it shorter, sliding it under the tubetop lengthwise while keeping the high neck and sleeves. The result? A layered look I loved. I was all ready to show it to you in the future.
Then I was wowed by these boots. As I live in the future, if you see this and still have time, you can pick them up for a discounted price. However, even if you miss the sale, they’re so worth their regular price—especially if you’re a ballet boot fan. I am, and these are not my first boots of this kind from Azoury. Honestly, if you look at their releases over the years, you have to wonder what goes on in the minds of the creators at that brand—it must be wonderful to have that kind of imagination. These boots come in both classic (it’s funny we call them that now) and PBR texture options. They also come as separate left and right leg attachments. At first, I wondered why, and then realised: obviously, you might have a robot leg or something else on one side and only need one boot. I love that they cater to that thought. Azoury makes products for such scenarios, and from experience, I know there are customers who specifically seek separate footwear.
The style of these boots is undeniably ballet-inspired, with incredible leather work. But it’s the metal encasement at the toes that has me imagining all sorts of barbaric training methods. It’s not just a look—it’s a whole vibe, and I love it.
I had them on, paired with my tubetop and tee. At first, I was wearing random shorts but then realised the creasing details in this mini skirt by Cynful matched the style of the boots perfectly. The skirt’s intricate detailing really stands out for something so small—I had to pause and giggle because it is a tiny skirt. Tiny, but with so much emphasis, and I adore that. It’s actually part of a set that includes a bodysuit with a glorious back design, but that’s for another time.
Just when I thought I was ready, lightning struck—or rather, I stumbled across an ad on social media announcing that KillJoy had released some sleeves. Stop the presses! Off I went, because, as you may know, arm warmers and sleeve add-ons are my bliss. These were a must-have, and they were reduced in price at the time, so I didn’t delay. You might not think you need these now, but trust me, you will in the future.
While I was already dressed, and some might pair these sleeves with a sleeveless look, I loved how they transitioned between my BOM layers, the tubetop, and everything else. They added so much versatility to the outfit. It’s a texture soup, and that makes me so happy. I did increase the gloss on my body for the photo, which added a shine to the T-shirt. While I prefer the matte cotton look without it, the sheen worked well for the picture. You can play around with these settings as you like. The sleeves themselves have three texture panels to choose from: latex, leather, and satin, with some offering extra detailing beyond solid colours.
I finished off the look with this hair I’ve been living in for the past few days. Typical for me, I went to grab No.Match’s latest release at Fameshed—you may have seen it in my previous post and video about the new in-browser Second Life testing phase—but then ended up at the No.Match store itself. I grabbed two more styles and ended up using the third purchase instead of the first. That’s just how I roll.

Skin Fair is in full flow at the moment, the amount of people visiting is huge, which is so great for all involved. You still have time to get over there if you haven’t and grab as many if not all the demos you can. I also heard that the Skin Addiction Group in world has a lot of the demos in their archives of notices, so you can also go that route and plan ahead.
Firstly though some wonderful new boots from J’s are the belted ankle boots. These come with the option of belt on or off and to my surprise the colours of this release are unlike any I have seen before from J’s. I mean get a load of that hot pink, wowza. J’s has made these for both alpha viewers as well as invisi prims options, so yay for wearing with pants with prim cuffs.
These look so fierce with my mix and match ensemble from Glam Affair, the Nero collection from a while back, pieces that I haven’t shown in the past, but look awesome mixed together. The pantaloon like shorts are so cute too, I really like how versatile they are. I am really glad that one of the sets had the black pasties on tattoo layer as well, so that I could be a bit more conservative under the lace undershirt. This collection is so cool to pull to pieces and make new and fab looks with.
Of course it all looks wonderful over the Mary Skin also by Glam Affair and at Skin Fair. The make up options are divine and so many options in the skins pack. Blush tattoos, eyebrow colours and hair base options, so much included. There are many gorgeous tones and it really is a beautiful skin, so remember DEMO DEMO DEMO.
Three new uppy do styles from Exile, a formal do, a looser more casual uppy do, and this incredible bunches of buns look that is so fun. I am showing off the different tones and hair with the lovely Cynful kini’s in other colours not shown before, and I have to show much love for the green.

Dear Elika, I couldn’t control myself…
Ok before I get to the post some IMPORTANT dates you have to mark on your calenders.
Pure Juice – March 5th – 26th
Fashion For Life – March 12th – 22nd
Pose Fair – April 1st – 15th
Culture Shock – May 1st – May 22nd
Shoe Fair – May 14th – 27th
Hair Fair – July 2nd – 15th
There are so many events coming up, and I know this isn’t all of them, but they are the ones I know about, so be sure to make room for them in your inventory….
The play hairstyle from Elikatira is amazing, the fit is perfection, I have not edited one prim. I would love to see some more styles based off this one, it is so delightful. Now I may not have edited any prims on the hair, but I sure did on the Secret Boots. Thanks to the boots being mod, and this is something I did discuss with Elikatira in the past the moment I saw the boots released, but I couldn’t contain myself any longer.
I removed the foot portion of the boots, and then wore them over the top of her move pumps. I love this look and some stretching and moving etc made them perfectly how I imagined them in my mind…and because I love them lots I had to wear them with my adorably sexy kini from Cynful to show off the body of the great new skin by YS & YS.
This is Susan a beautiful skin as usual by YS & YS, the make ups on this skin are really subtle but enough to go from day to night. There are 14 in total as well as brows, hair bases and cleavage options on tats, also freckles and eyelashes, all tat layers, so if you have a 2.5 viewer you can wear them all at once if needed.
I already had on the top of an outfit from The Secret Store, and was in the middle of modifying that too when the Diigii High Waist skirts from Luck Inc made more sense. The thin white belt part of the skirt added that nice graduation between top and bottom. There are two versions of this skirt and in perfect Luck Inc fashion this is the long version LOL.
Using one of my own background pics from Second Life Stock Images Group, so thanks to me for having the foresight to need this a few weeks ago.
Right now I am listening to the playlist of Cynneh of Cynful clothing on her YouTube, I only discovered today you can finally share those, so yay, it is a wonderful mix you can listen too from HERE

Femme Fatale Fashion
( click to see bigger images )
When you say things like ‘Yo” around Mel there are consequences, this is what we learned today… HERE
Like my new hat? isn’t it cute, in a deathly morbid way,but what else would you wear with a skin tone called ‘Dead”. I am chuffed too with the matching of feet to skin, yay for the Maitreya Gold HUD being so easy peasy. These are the skins about to be released at Red Mints booth at Skin Fair, they are the Frost series and the fantasy aspect is wonderful. I do also like that there is a more subtle version, as well as add on make ups you can get seperately.
Perfect hair for this style hat is the Roxy from Exile, with its brushed to the side look, I had the perfect platform for the hat, without having to do any editing at all – other than actually swapping the hats side, as it originally was on the other, but yay for copy paste.
The dress I am wearing is the new by 24 hours Annie dress, and it is sleek and chic. Definitely perfect for a femme fatale, and so able to add too with accessories and what not, but I left it all about the hat and shoes, and skin, and hair and….

Apple Bottom
Whimsy says I forgot my skirt, I on the other hand know it is there and she is just being an old lady – lol she does of course know I type these things about her at the time of typing, as we are in voice. Red Mint was a surprise to me, a great one in fact, being a Red Queen fan already as many of you know, to suddenly find out there was a new sister type brand, that is lighter and brighter in build but still connected to the fabulous compound that is rQ.
The skins I am wearing are their latest release, and wowza, these are amazing, not just for the incredible bursts of colour, but even the tan versions with the face paint look are sexy as hell. I was having a great time not only dressing for them, but tinting my hair and squeeling in delight that the new GOS boots have a great teal that worked so well with the Acqua version of the skins. If you want to try the skins before you buy, not only are there demos, but you can also join their group and grab the group gift in their store, hopefully still there.
Now about these boots. First off you not only get solid colour options, but suede and leather, or exciting as it is, a combination of both. You can change the buttons or zipper from metals to fabric colours, and the sole and heel also have colour change and style change options, giving you either a chunky heel, wedge or stiletto. These boots can have you entertained for hours and hours with all the possibilites.
All of the super sexy clothing – ok not ALL but I love the bolero from LeLutka so much I had to wear it again lol -Â I am wearing with this post is from Cynful, a combo of new and older, with the wonderful new leather skirt and tank, the skirt comes as a really low slung or a hipster version and is actually the work of Beertschi Lytton, newish designer for the Cynful brand, and now I finally know why one of the dresses of the past was a combo name with Beer, which was so odd to me at the time lol. The skirts show off how incredible the skins bum shading is, honestly I now understand apple bottom.
Stunning hair by Exile as usual, and so much fun colour wise, it was easy to tint the blue hair so I had that red blue combo thing going on, and I got to show better that there is in fact a braid running down the front, that is not so visible from afar in the same colour.I need more exile hair, I am thinking something dead straight next thanks :P.

Under the Sea
I issued a Plurk Sunday challenge today, but it doesn’t have to stay confined to plurk. The challenge is that everyone comments on ten blogs, they can be store blogs or fashion blogs, just share a positive thought and spread some joy, as it is always nice to get feedback, and with the many thousands of readers out there, it always amazes me how rare it is to see comments, even if it is just ‘ I love those _____ I am off to shop ‘.
The post today all four looks started with the divine hair from Exile. Kavar Cleanslate is so amazing at offering such a wide range of styles with his hair releases…and these latest ones are just divine, another hat/hair for me to love love love. The first look because of the length and style of the hair under the super cloche hat style, was not so vintage but more modern, which makes for a nice saturday morning brisk weather look, while heading to the local cafe for some breakfast.
The second look is a lot more va va voom, mixing Cynful and Zaara is done twice today, the first with this look has the beertilicious dress with the beautiful distressed shrug. This fluffed out hair is the perfect length to show off how incredible the texture work done by Zaara is. The third hairstyle was very student like, so I went preppy college girl…I know in reality that no college students around here dress like this, but in my mixed reality they do. The skirt was a flf item, but am pretty sure it comes in other colours. The jacket is from the Jane store, which is a new store for creator Janie Marlowe of older Mischief fame…really cute store, and the tank I have on is actually part of a free tank table she has.
The dress on the right is the latest from Zaara, this comes two ways, wrapped with bare skin revealed, or with an underlining colour. For some reason SL ate my underlining version, and while I could have shown the bare, I wanted to experiment with the idea that find the right dress, you can make your own inserts in your own colour choices. Sure enough the Beertilicious from Cynful fit like a dream, and so I wore the light tan colour, which matches the colour of floral print in the crimson dress…YAY.
All of these looks are also showing the latest boots from YS & YS, the creators behind the brand recently took a much needed break and are back and making stuff already. These boots are beautiful, and have a sculpted sock that can be worn with in contrast or not worn at all…there are two tone, and solid versions, in a variety of beautiful colours.
I am also wearing the Amber skin by League, stunning make ups, so many incredible options, cleavage, hair base, freckles. WIth two different packs of make up colours to choose from in wonderful rich tones. Try the demos and I will show more in my next post.

Middle Mouse clicking on a link, or image in flickr/website etc, will open the page in another tab – things I learn from Mel. I should honestly make that a category on my blog, daily he teaches me so much. But don’t half listen and middle mouse the tab, because that closes it :P, but if you right click the tab and use the undo close tab, then it comes back up, HE IS A GENIUS!
So much to do, so much to do. Ok so again I am wearing Natasha from Glance Skins. She has such a petulant look, and I am finding it gets me shoes 😛 only joking baby, but it is kind of funny you watching everything I type. We have discovered in the last week and a half, that skype allows for screen sharing, thank you Marni 🙂 and as much fun as it is, it now means my work gets edited before I even finish. * Wonders if that is where her full stop was meant to be.
Ok this is way too funny. Mel bought me some divinely sexy shoes from NCore yesterday, they are the Shark shoes, and have all these amazing options: anklets, studs, zebra stripe nailpolishes, socks/stockings and more. I particularly love the ability to change the colour of the heel and sole of the shoes to more funky style colours.
The first dress I am wearing is from Eclectic Apparel. Her clothing is fantastic, and her new store looks fabulous, and is so easy to navigate, I suggest start buying everything from the right and work your way around to the left. The new Military dresses are killer sexy, and the fat pack is a steal. I love how the unbuttoned look has them pulling off a kind of asian look, so two styles in one so to speak.
All of the hair I am wearing in the first pic is the new hair from Maitreya. They just released these fabulous styles, and I am totally digging the very different look of Lila, which is the four piggies. I love when hair looks like it is your own hair restyled into different looks, because of the beautiful textures of Maitreya that is done with ease.
The Beertilicious dresses – wonders how drunk Cynful was when she named them – from Cynful are a sexy tube that can be worn with just about everything. The colours are great neutrals and bolds, and the added breast sculpties gives them a more 3D look. These dresses are wearable without the prim, just in case you want to wear something over the top that may not work, but in this case I am wearing the new Military Coat from Aoharu, that not only works as it is an open fronted coat, but also because it offers two attachment points, so that the dress prims don’t detach – not that I couldn’t reattach myself, but hey, when someone wants to do it for you, who am I to complain.
Amacci just this past hour released these super beautiful long styles. How Carina makes hair is just incredible, just looking at the individual prim work makes me envious of her talent, and her concentration abilities. They move so well, and the styles of them are just a tad wavey and enough straight to have you going oooooo ahhhhh.
