Those Darn Wabbits!
I HAD to do this, I just HAD TO ! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL I hope you get as much of a kick out of it as I did.
So the other day I was doing goodness knows what, when a thought occured to me. As you know I have my random thunks all the time, but there are other things that come to me in flashes – and no they aren’t hot- often I am lucky enough that my flashes of inspiration get made, sometimes it can take a long time to happen, sometimes it happens fast.  Then there are the rare times like this one, that my flashes come too close to deadline and aren’t entirely possible, a bit too much and a bit too complicated to get done in a day or two.

Ok so there I was and was hit by the inspirational thought of “What happened after we closed the book ?”. One of my favourite movies is Jersey Girl with Jami Gertz & Dylan McDermott – really will never understand why they name two movies the same . In it there is a scene were Jami is reading to the kids in the child care place she works, and when it comes to the end of Cinderella, she ads to the end that Cinderella tells the Prince she will marry him but not until she gets her degree, or something like that, it’s been along time since I watched it.

So instant thought came to me of what did happen ? orrrrrrrrr *grins* what COULD ?.

I was never really one for Alice in Wonderland, I just didn’t get it and that bunny annoyed the hell out of me.You’re probably thinking ‘what’s to get ?’ well thats the point ” I DON”T KNOWWWWW” lol. If I think about it I can see random flashes of the story in all its forms , the cartoons, the movies, the book, but all that comes to mind for me is that darn rabbit.

So thanks to the fabulous Alice dress by Second Wave Apparel, and with a few little extras, I’d like to rename her Alice Fudd lol. Grandpa Elmer may not have gotten the rabbit but Alice sure did. So much so that she turned him into a coat, isn’t it just lovely – * No real bunnies were harmed in the making of this post*– I edited the Anesan coat from Bare Rose, which is a fab set and is a really old release well over a year, but I see it every time I go to Bare Rose and there is even a Mens Version.

It’s in a lovely leopard print usually but I used some Hair Textures to make it this lovely colour that is similar enough to a white rabbit. The ears which I also modded to add the blonde texture are from Dark Eden and are the Domme Bunny Ears they were a freebie many many moons ago so you may just have your own set, if not there are lots of great ears to be found.

This AWESOME Skin is a Group Gift I believe that went out to the AD Designs Skin Group, thats the lovely and talented Ashia Tomsen from Free Style’,so talented is that lady. It’s called the *AD* Timeless Halloween Special and it has a lovely porceline doll crackle detailing to the face that is just perfect for whatever you dress up as tonight.

The hair is Katya from Deviant Kitties a really cool combed back tail look which works well with the ears, and the Axe of fun and frivolity – not its official name 😛 – is made by Mel Vanbeeck My Hero, I remember when he made it, he had me in stitches, but for the life of me now I can’t remember WHY he made it lol, but I seem to remember some kind of Lumberjack reasoning behind it.

The fabulous Diva Heels are from Tesla and are just scrumptious in every colour they come in.

What would have happened to Dorothy if she didn’t make it home after all, or for that matter got back to Kansas and found that her house did in fact go to Oz leaving her homeless *giggles*. Seriously I would have loved for someone to make the anti fairytale collection, but when you have to have, you just have to adapt lol. I do know that some incredible sets are out there that are dark and anti etc, but my idea was more of the what if concept, than the dark – mind you making that coat up above was kind of dark lol.

I hope Sioxie doesn’t kill me for modding her beautiful costume, but I couldn’t resist, and she made it so perfect to be able to do that to. You get all layers and options in this set, with the addition of the fabulous basket as well. I also was really impressed that you get both prim and system skirt options for the skirt of this dress- one skirt which I of course made a copy of and edited lol-, and have I ever shared with you my LOVE LOVE LOVE of Gingham.

It’s a huge love, so is wearing my hair in braids, so much so that once upon a time in a cafe far far away I was having lunch and a little girl came over to my table smiled at me and ran back to her mum, when I turned around to see what was going on she was giggling and whispering to her mum, her mum grinned and told me that her daughter thought I was Dorothy lol , true story , didn’t hurt that I was wearing blue gingham and had my hair in braids at the time.

The hair I am wearing in this pic is a fab braids style called Stacey by Adam n Eve, the braids are flexi so its super adorable. The skin is a mix of Pulse, the Soft Ivory/Got Dessert skin which is freckled and streaky make up not really seenin the pics but so fab, then I changed into the Blissed Radiance for the memory shot. A few weeks ago I was invited to a trashed party, and had the nifty idea of trashing a pair of shoes, you know the broken heel kind of limp thing you get when you go out and get one stuck in a grate – don’t you hate that.

It took a long time to find a pair in my inventory that were mod, and thats cool I get why etc, but I did manage to find an old pair I had from Digital Dragon Designs, so through much editing I was able to remove the heel and then Fiachra Lach made me some loo paper to stick to the other heel, so for today both seemed perfect to reuse – tries not to think about reused loo paper.

Lastly the Wicked Witch saw the error of her ways and went on to Art School. This is a newish release from Second Wave Apparel called Red Tartan , and the set with the big and fab buckled belt and that high collar just screamed arty witch to me. Its a great and stylish look and actually has its very own beret also in tartan, but I couldn’t resist adding the NEW Witches Hat from Dark Eden. The pumpkins and skull are adorable and the feathers and actual style of this hat is very cool indeed.

The hat comes with two options, this being the deluxe , which has the addition of the feathers and tags, the other doesn’t have those but you get both in the set, with also option of mouth or chin attachments.

The Red Tartan set is a beautiful belted dress look , but when you remove the dress you have a seperate jacket and skirt look, great for mixing with other items of clothing, and the fab leggings make it wonderful for boots, I opted to go for the Alicia heels from Adam n  Eve, beautifully sculpted and a richly textured.

The hair is Rush from ::69:: a lovely loose pigtail look with really nice waves in an equally rich and fabulous texture.

A Notice came through this morning too that all of the Second Wave Apparel Costumes were on SALE weirdly the notices archives for fash con are wiped completely for me at the moment so I can’t get the exact details of the SALE but I do seem to remember they were half price and possibly only today, so dont quote me on that but go check them and the lovely clothing out.

I took hours and hours filming and pic taking to show you this post, and alas lost a whole lot of work, but wanted to salvage what I could so that you could see and go and experience as quickly as possible the brand NEW The Perfect Lady AO.

This AO I have been using for a few weeks now, and in the pic here the animation on the right is so cute, that last week when helping a New Resident, they got so excited that I was doing such things while helping them. It’s funny how AO’s can become such a part of us that we don’t always consider how remarkable they can be to others. This Ao is fully loaded also, combining 9 walks, 23 animated stands, 6 sits, 6 groundsits, runs, jumps (OMG the Jump is so cool) and my absolute favourite thing is the crouch walk; that is a backflip that you can do over and over as you walk.

When I told Mel the name of the AO he thought that it was an unusaul choice especially after seeing me flipping about, I disagreed 😛 you see The Perfect Lady issssssssssssssssss FLEXIBLE lmao. You really have to go and try this ao out for yourself, the ground sits and the sits for objects are lovely also, and the stands come with set notecards to help you get started.

Business Sexy, Casual Sexy, Elegant Silks, Sensual and the Default, but there is no limit to how many you can add yourself using the stands; and all the other great animations within. This hud is jam packed with features, one of my other favourites is the sit anywhere button, tired of standing just press it and bam you are sitting, don’t need ground or a prim to use as a target.

The walks that are in this AO are also superb, having so much attitude and remember there are 9 so you have choice for whatever occasion, and some of them are totally catwalky. An AO like this also gives you lots of options with taking pics, as each animated stand gives you different variety in a snapshot, if ever wanting to capture something easier just go to advanced > Character > Slow Motion Animations , just dont forget to take it back off or you will think you have some serious lag lol.

I have also combined a bit of a short film HERE so you can see some of the movement and by no means all, just a sampling.

All of the clothing today is so stylish, I wish I hadn’t lost my pics. This first combo at the top is the Donna Jacket, a sculpted open style jacket with a beautiful shape, made on the jacket layer so that you can wear other items underneath, me opting for none :P. The Jeans are the Stacy jeans that come with either straight pants sculpted prims or a rolled look.

Lets talk about the skin for a sec, the one in the pic is Tone 0 m7 – 24 and the two others in the same incredible porceline tone are in the film, I was dazzled by this skin tone, and the make up choices, the skin is just beautifully crafted, whether you regularly wear such a pale tone or not its a lovely addition. The other less pale tone in the film is Blissed same creator and absolutely GORGEOUS skin, the mouth oh my goodness its yummy.

The difference with the Blissed and many of the others in the store is that you not only get different eyebrow colours, but you get three different variations on the same skin. Beach, Natural and Radiance, which are effects on the actual body, meaning that if you have been an oil wearer in the past, you need no longer take up valuable clothing layers, as the beach option gives you that effect. Radiance is a soft shimmer to the skin and Natural is just that, a wonderful range of options.

But it doesn’t stop there, you also get 2 down there options, both shaved but both very different in design. That you will have to pay attention to with the demos, but one is a bit more revealing than the other, and I can imagine that if you were inclined to get body piercings etc um yeah anyway lol.

The two outfits featured in the Film are Lulu and Mirielle, Lulu is an adorable Cocktail dress with sculpted skirt and that sensational sculpted bow like addition at the top, strapless and so enticing in a delightful weave texture. I am also wearing the matching Lulu boots with this dress, and they have with or without bow options on the sides.

Mirielle is the very sexy Bustier and Shorts set with thigh highs, beautiful detailing in the texture with black piping working its way around and across the design, ending at the neck with the stunning posture style collar with a plume like effect on the side. If going to a party and not wanting to wear a cocktail dress this would be a striking alternative.

The hair in the pic is Amelia and in the film you have Niobe and Betty Sue, all lovely styles that work so well with the featured pieces. I love how Niobe frames the face and there is another style similar with bangs for those that don’t like not having bangs.

If you could run Phils Place for a Day

So the other day I had another thunk, and it occurred to me how often people comment about the state of Phils Place ( SL ), things that they think should be the way they want them to be and so on. It got me to thunking what would I change ? there are often times we make broad statements of disappointment over particular things, I know that many would love to see the mesh changed on system skirts, I’d like to see that because then more might embrace the love.

Others would want more layers allowing for tattoos to be able to be added to the body and face, without taking up existing clothing layers. My Mel once suggested that the ability to choose where an item is worn would be a huge change, and I agree, the idea that if an older item was only made on one top layer, that by right clicking it you got to choose if it was worn on the jacket, shirt or undershirt , regardless of its only being made on the shirt would rock. Imagine the mixing and matching you could do then – bliss.

There are dozens of things that I would list, that if I was able to get them implemented I would lol, but I want to hear yours, so Imagine, if you were able to have free reign over Phils Place for 24 hours, and all the resources and technology at your disposal what THREE things would you do, change, etc.

NOW as this could potentially get a bit whacko in comments, or not, lets make it very clear up front, you cannot post that you would remove someone , steal, copy, grief, attack, make things free, etc, these have to be things that would benefit all and be some kind of change to an existing ailment, or possibly the introduction of a new tool.

The changes or new ideas you comment with may not even benefit you, they might just be something you have often thought would be a help, like the ability to mod items on an avatar , when granted mod rights by the person wearing the items, this would help in customer service and also when people are new to Phils Place for sure.

Anyway have at it, and I can’t wait to see your ideas :o) you can post anon but seriously take the credit lol

There is definitely something about this dress named simply SystemSkirt Dress,  that just brings out the rocker chick in me. It just has that vintage store vibe about it, where some crazy overpaid ex girlfriend of a rockstar goes shopping before appearing at the MTV awards.

Crazy woman aside, this is totally beautiful from the options of with or without straps, to the SYSTEM SKIRT that we know I love love love. You get incredibly funky leopard leggings with the dress, and in the first pic I actually tinted them a bit darker, but not too much as to lose the fab print. As you can see the top of the dress can be worn as a stand alone item, and with the leggings it is definitely fun.

The necklace I am wearing I have been dieing to show in a post ever since I got it a year ago, its called Slave to the Music and the creator did leave for a while but I think she maybe has a new store, so I’ll put her name in the credits so you can look her up for yourself, it’s an adorable necklace, especially if music is your thing. Also wearing the fab Medallion set Bracelet and Earrings, that I just adore for their charm bracelet style and just because they are big and fabulous.

Made in a silky fabric with beautiful detailing at the cleavage, the shading on this dress is just superb, and the colours are a delight to wear. Seen here with the straps version top, they are delicate spaghetti straps that have tiny little adjustment buckles at the back, like a bra finish so you can adjust them to hold you well in, I love that illusion, that little extra in detailing that becomes a memorable feature.

Worn here without the leggings for a dressier look, with the addition of the Lloyd Bangles in Gold, that are equally chunky and fabulous. I’m all for the big jewelry today.

As I said the colours are just wonderful and this one takes the cake, a stunning Olive Green that i can never get enough of. As you can see in this pic the back of this dress is just great, shaded to give authenticity to the fabric, this is exactly how it would look on in RL, and the exact way the fabric would gather at the zippered back, it’s more of the incredible attention to detail that this designer is great at.

Another of my favourite colours in the mix, is this brown, matching the leggings beautifully and adding some stunning Wood and Metal Jewelry, the mix of Gold and Wood looks superb with this dress as a backdrop, and has a wonderful natural but stylish look to it.

Another stunning backdrop is the Persephone skin, such beautiful work on the body as usual, and the makeups are delightful, even the Misery Make Up up above that has its own beauty to it. These are the sister skin to Pandora, and in the real story I have no clue who is the older sibling, but to me Persephone has a definite grace and mature style all her own, as usual you get manicure and pedicure with the skins as well as lashes and with and without down there options, so you are definitely getting a skin for all occasions.

The collarbone and cleavage detailing, as well as the back are all stunning with this dress, and even more so with it off , DEMO DEMO DEMO.

The hair I have on in all the pics is Heart 4 from my little hair jaunt the other day, a magnificent style that is so versatile from casual to glam, if you can get out of that store with less than 3 of the very limited hair there is I would be very surprised.

Lastly the Soho boots, these are splendid,the different variations just give more reasons to get them all. A bit more than an ankle boot, and as stylish as a kneehigh; these are gorgeous.

Whether a leather or suede fan you are covered, and the grunge style with the ribbed effect is just brilliant, The two tone look in some of the range has you thinking about some incredible addition to regular heels, that you didn’t know you had to have until they were right there calling to you.

The heels are stong and sturdy looking meaning that if you wear them all day every day people will totally get it, this style boot is the exact reason we have boot fit pants. DEMO DEMO DEMO these too, and they actually have both regular fit and resizing fits if thats your need, many have converted to not wanting size 0 feet anymore and this enables you to choose what you want to have on your feet , yay for choice.

You so could, and in this skirt I wouldn’t care. Aptly named in my opinion, the Aria skirt and Aria shirt are most melodious. Actually I might have to talk to The Diva about arresting me for the Fashion crime of not having worn this earlier.

Incredible work on this system skirt, that can be worn without the beautiful flexi bottom, as you know I love love love love system skirts, and would happily wear this one without, but it is so incredibly effective with. The shading and detailing on the Aria skirt works so well on bringing attention to all the assets of this style skirt, and the love heart placed were it is draws the eyes up and then back down, it really is so beautiful.

The Aria shirt is a stylish sleeveless blouse that works in harmony with the skirt, but would have allot of uses as a staple in any wardrobe.

The shoes I am wearing are the Newish Akamai shoes, stunning metalic wedges, with a mix of silver and gold. These come in incredible metalic finishes in I think it is six different colours, you need to try on the demo for yourself, they really are very chic. To round out the silver I went with the petite Clutch bag in silver, its small and discreet but adds that little something to the look.

I went on a bit of a hair frenzy yesterday, buying up from two stores, the first style is Heart J , now this style comes in two ways, one as shown and the other has fantastic hair clips in it but the big 80’s kind that are like ducks bills, it wasn’t suitable for this look, but so much fun for others, and you get both in the pack.

The Jewelry is the Tiffany series, necklace, bracelet and earrings, all in a ruby and platinum finish. Scripted for size changing these are also delicate and so pretty, you could wear them stylishly like this, or go into the more elegant formal look, I love rubies, and with this make up it was a great merge. The skin is from DV and thanks to Whimsy WInx for blogging it the other day, I was able to venture over there with Efe, to snap up the skins for the incredible price of 5L each, but there is actually a box somewhere in the store for 70 of them for 100L.

This is the Temptress skin and it is a mod, the whole box is comprised of different make ups, looks, and really out there costumey looks, you could grab it and sort through it and find some great effects for halloween, one or two terrified me you will see why when you get it.

All the colours of the Aria Skirt are just beautiful.

The Beatrix Capris are equally adorable, not just because they also have hearts on the buttons. But because they are cutely turned up and clipped with some very nifty prim work at the base. All the clothing today has little extras that let you know hours of work went into constructing the pieces.

These are a great style for daytime dallying, the Kara sweater w/ tee is really cute for the chillier days, or just because you don’t want to bare your midriff. With or without Tshirt, the sweater is snug to the body and buttoned up with lovely stud buttons , sleeve length on these is perfect too, for collaborating with the Capris, in the covering but not all the way way.

More fun hair, this time the other store and its one I ended up wearing all day. Josephine hair is so bouncy and fun, I really like the light brown texture as worn which is kind of a summery blonde, the bangs are a delight and the way the alpha curls have been worked are just right.

This skin is the August Hybrid from the pack , and so cute and fresh looking, great skin for this casual look. The shoes are the Haleigh Wedges , stacked cork wedges with gem adorned black straps, super casual and vintagey all at the same time.

Lastly , because I am still in one of these looks since last night when I took the pics.

First off OMG THE SOCKS! seriously these are just all kinds of naughty delish, if these were food they would cost the earth and you would never recover from the taste, imagine that step sister in Ever After tasting chocolate for the first time, that is these socks. The Jeyne Hose come in fantastic colours and are sheer and netted, and omg they are just awesome.

Wearing the New Platform Mod shoes, that have fabulous and chunky heels and soles, the big silver button on the side front is fab, as well as appearing again in a smaller version at the back, DEMO DEMO DEMO they are yummy. Tabatha sweater is a zippered midriff style top , the fabric and print is great, the colours are just beautiful, my favourite parts are the little stars at the back and the two hand pocket at the front.

The NEW Minami skirt comes in beautiful denims as well, and I just love a great Jeans skirt, and this is definitely one. The combination of this look is just fun and sexy and, well I love it. Speaking of love, the hair also another purchase yesterday, and one I think I will keep on wearing because its hot hot hot. This is the Heart 7 hair , and not just the working of the hair itself do I love, but those criss crossed ties around the tails, wonderful prim work and so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute.

The last skin is Kate is Great, remember these are either 5l each or just 100L for the 70 if the box is still there, make sure to head over, and if its not there , IM the creator and see if she plans on bringing it back out.

Slice me and dice me

I am a huge fan of HCT as many know, and one thing I love is the costume time of the year. Babyboo goes all out every time, whether Halloween, Easter or Christmas, it just depends on her mood for the other two, but Halloween she embraces.

Best thing about her costumes also is that they always come with hair, and lots of it. This latest costume is Kruger and it’s totally awesome, I haven’t seen anything like it thus far, and so sexy a concept. I was a teen when the Nightmare movies started and remember seeing them at the movies, and a few years ago hiring all of them with my Goddaughter who had never seen them, we stayed up until about 3am watching them from the first until the last and scaring ourselves to death.

Now I think had Freddy been in fact female as this costume suggests, she would have had way more fun with Johnny Depp :P. The costume is fabulous and fun, the cut out slashes across front and back are somewhat revealing, which is always fun at Halloween, and the glove is spot on, if any guys want to go as Freddy they should look into this set just to get their hands on the Glove.

The wonderful bowler hat also is part of the look and the hair has been created to wear with a hat with no top prims for convenience, either that or the blades cut a bit close when styling my hair.

Wearing the Halloween gift from MMSkins this Moscow adaption is perfect with the nice clean slice near the eye, just goes to show that you can’t always be so careful. I am also wearing the desert boots from Maitreya in black, a lovely soft leather boot for men or women, with tied and untied laces options that I love.

So go get your Halloweeny on, and check out all of the HCT costumes, I love last years sooooooo much and this year just ads to the love.

This took research

It is true, I had to do allot of background testing for this post.

I mean you can’t just do beans on toast, and not HAVE beans on toast, and when it’s all you have eaten all day, you have to make it super special and add things, like CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE. Yes yes the other day for Linner ( yeah I have lunch late enough for it to be almost dinner) I had baked beans on toast with melted cheese on top, and it was AWWESOMMMME!.

I have known for some time that beans on toast was in the cards, as it started out as a ‘it’s ok you could call a dress beans on toast and it would be hot’ kind of convo with SySy. But then a few dresses in between and I was still waiting for my yummy. Well it finally came and sure enough I am still so behind I have only now been able to share, the dresses I will share, my gourmet linner you have to get your own :P.

So Beans on Toast with a few extras it is. I wanted some belts with this look , so again with the search belts and came up with the Light Strider Belt from Bare Rose, which I tinted a different colour brown, the Chunky belt from Adam n Eve in the Silver, which is just so rich and vibrant, and the Adena belt from AD Clothing (Diversity Hair) which is a texture belt on all layers and as the dress comes on shirt and jacket it was a match YAY.

Beans on toast comes in three wonderful colours, and the length and the plunging neckline make it a fab outfit to do lots of mix and match with, the neckline leaving your cleavage bare for some wonderful adornment possibilities. Todays adornement is the beautiful Regal Pendant by Rosie Barthelmess, now I am not sure if Rosie has set up shop yet, so you might just have to IM her and harass her for this beauty, she also has others that are just lovely as well, so get her cracking on setting up shop, ok .

The dress comes with scrunched down socks that are at different heights per leg, and thats such a nifty look, they even have prim attachments for them, I am only wearing one because of the boots but you get the idea, so versatile to wear with other fun casuals too.

I also opted for some old favourites in the sock department in the form of the Skelly socks from Celestial Studios, yes I have worn these socks a few times in the past, but I have them in every pack she did, and each one has like three colour variations, they are fabulous.

The Hair I have on left to right is all from Exile , Kavar Cleanslate (love that name) does beautiful work on hair and so many other things, his costumes I have seen on his blog look wonderful too. I am wearing Voodoo, Wild Orchid and the latest release Natasha which is an asymetrical messy cut thats so full and fluffy it’s just lovely, and with Christmas just around the corner a hair named for the festive season is appropriate, mind you Halloween is festive too , so yay.

The skins I am wearing are all from Gala , and are the Brownie, Nocturnal and Fever, the glossy lips are wonderful and remember DEMO DEMO DEMO, she has such an abundance of tones you really need to try them all.

Lastly are the Billow Boots from Maitreya, it has been instant love of these from everyone I know. With all my begging for more boots from Onyx and Beau in the last few months , I am so glad the boot making process has begun , and I look forward to seeing so many more in the upcoming months, YAY for cold weather , even though its stinking hot here , my avatar can just mess with me while I sit and over heat in RL and dress all snuggly and toasty in phils place- ah the sacrifices we make.

These boots are heavenly, with their so incredible leather – my goodness Maitreya textures get more real looking each release – the elasticated band at the top cinching them in is also incredible in detail, I love the idea of these boots protecting you from the cold by keeping you all snuggled and tight fitted at the top , but allowing for warmth to be trapped inside, and as for how stylish they look , that just goes without saying.
