Under the sea
I love a good glittery look, and the ones I have on today are super glitzy. Metalics and glittery fabrics are really not easy to pull off in Second Life, and the ones I have on here are just wonderful.
The store is Sassy, and yes I couldn’t resist checking it out. I was greatly impressed, I think I bought most of the store, and could easily go back for more, especially seeing as there are more than one option in most items. The four looks up top are actually two sets, you get both options of each, and there are a decent range of colours in both.
The change in styles around the store are fun, and interesting, ranging from casual to clubwear, to latex and grungey. I really like that there are enough looks to suit most.
The shoes I am wearing are the latest from DeLa,I for one am chuffed that DeLa has gone back to making shoes, not that I don’t love all the clothing that has been released in the past years, but these shoes are SEXY HOT! The amount of detail in the Marie’s are gorgeous, the straps, and ties are just fabulous, they have an incredible sheer netting over the top of the leather that up close looks just amazing. The HUD is so easy to use, and it was one button click to match my skin.
Maitreya has released more hair, it is one hell of an exciting week, two releases within a few days of eachother, and for all the hair fans it is all win.The two pulled back styles tuck behind the ear and look so pretty. The whispy strands make it so easy to wear this hair, and the fact that they look like other versions of the styles that Maitreya have been releasing over the last year, so for those that rarely change, this is the time to expand your look.
The new Nellie skin from Laq is the latest in their more mature skin range. The mouth is pouty and full, and the body as sensational as usual. There is a nice spread of make ups in the range, and I for one think Nellie looks amazing on so many different shapes as I have seen many wearing it so far. DEMO DEMO DEMO.
I am so in love with the new C – Spray necklace from Essentia, a really high end fashion accessory, like pearls on a spray of ocean fronds, it is divine to wear, and you can change the strands to gold or silver. Demos in the store to try on.

We went down to the river to play
While Mel was recently away I sat and pined on my new Lovers Garden. There really is a sad option, but I didn’t want to put it on the post, because with all the pretty Mel and I pics, it ruined the yummy.
Lovers Garden is a beautiful small space you can rez wherever you have the room and the 12 prims. In this case I just rezzed it at The Deck behind one of the builds so I could still work and take pics and chatter with Mel, Whimsy and Newdoll….multitasking all the way.
I was able to grab him to myself for a moment though and get these great shots. The Lovers Garden not only have single poses, but two pages of couples poses, and some of them are just all fun. There is a falling together into the bed of flowers that you have to try out for yourself. Easy to use, and easy to love. It is created by Eku Zhong who it seems has many talents in Second Life, so be on the look out for more from her.
The store is a treasure trove of low prim furniture from roll down desks to smooshy couches and incredible balinese outdoor furniture, so pack up the kids and grab the trailer, because there is a whole slew of shopping to do.

Officers chat is a way to keep girls out
Things I learned today: that there are still some places possible at Jewelry Fair, so if you have been umming and ahhing STOP IT! and get in contact with Eolande Elevehjem and get your store seen by thousands. Other things I have learned is that Gidge Uriza is a Gnome lover and likes to Gesticulate with Elusyve Jewell, which sounds almost forbidden, but apparently is all the rage, so in this post I decided to Gesticulate all over it.
The stunning gowns I am wearing today are from Baiastice’s new collection, and the whole collection is just WOW. It is often a discussed topic, the whole Season vs Weekly release thing in Second Life, so many prefering instant hits, but then many being blown away when a true fashion house comes out with a whole collection, inspiring and amazing their customers.
Leaving us wondering how long did it take, was it a theme of inspiration, did some items just fall into place while others were weeks of pain and suffering…did the hats come after, or where they always intended? and so on. The whole range is just delightful, and while much of it is wear as intended, you are able to find little pieces amongst that you will be able to mix and match if you work on it. I for one am gaga over the hats, so those hopefully will be worn over the next few months.
I am wearing the Trinity skin again from Redgrave, this time in the pale version, last time was tan. Different make ups and such intense eyes, Trinity is smoldering, and I love that in a skin. Make sure you Demo it and the other styles at Redgrave.
The hair I am wearing is all from Frou Frou, the styles are so glam and easy to take pics of, with minimal alpha they are a bloggers dream. I heard a whisper that there will be two more styles released shortly, so make sure you check notices on What’s New SL for info on that. I cannot wait to try them on.

Middle Mouse clicking on a link, or image in flickr/website etc, will open the page in another tab – things I learn from Mel. I should honestly make that a category on my blog, daily he teaches me so much. But don’t half listen and middle mouse the tab, because that closes it :P, but if you right click the tab and use the undo close tab, then it comes back up, HE IS A GENIUS!
So much to do, so much to do. Ok so again I am wearing Natasha from Glance Skins. She has such a petulant look, and I am finding it gets me shoes 😛 only joking baby, but it is kind of funny you watching everything I type. We have discovered in the last week and a half, that skype allows for screen sharing, thank you Marni 🙂 and as much fun as it is, it now means my work gets edited before I even finish. * Wonders if that is where her full stop was meant to be.
Ok this is way too funny. Mel bought me some divinely sexy shoes from NCore yesterday, they are the Shark shoes, and have all these amazing options: anklets, studs, zebra stripe nailpolishes, socks/stockings and more. I particularly love the ability to change the colour of the heel and sole of the shoes to more funky style colours.
The first dress I am wearing is from Eclectic Apparel. Her clothing is fantastic, and her new store looks fabulous, and is so easy to navigate, I suggest start buying everything from the right and work your way around to the left. The new Military dresses are killer sexy, and the fat pack is a steal. I love how the unbuttoned look has them pulling off a kind of asian look, so two styles in one so to speak.
All of the hair I am wearing in the first pic is the new hair from Maitreya. They just released these fabulous styles, and I am totally digging the very different look of Lila, which is the four piggies. I love when hair looks like it is your own hair restyled into different looks, because of the beautiful textures of Maitreya that is done with ease.
The Beertilicious dresses – wonders how drunk Cynful was when she named them – from Cynful are a sexy tube that can be worn with just about everything. The colours are great neutrals and bolds, and the added breast sculpties gives them a more 3D look. These dresses are wearable without the prim, just in case you want to wear something over the top that may not work, but in this case I am wearing the new Military Coat from Aoharu, that not only works as it is an open fronted coat, but also because it offers two attachment points, so that the dress prims don’t detach – not that I couldn’t reattach myself, but hey, when someone wants to do it for you, who am I to complain.
Amacci just this past hour released these super beautiful long styles. How Carina makes hair is just incredible, just looking at the individual prim work makes me envious of her talent, and her concentration abilities. They move so well, and the styles of them are just a tad wavey and enough straight to have you going oooooo ahhhhh.

Now I have pants
This time of the year is so much fun, Autumn is my favourite season, so to technically have two of them a year, with Second Life and my own, I am in paradise. One of the things about this time of the year, usually, is that this is the time when everyone starts to think in theme, with fall, then halloween, thanksgiving and then Christmas.
Lately with so many themed events though, I was worried that would dissipate. Then I put on the beautiful hair and tops by RezIpsa Loc and decided that no, it still has that warm gooey feeling of fall. They at first seem very themed and would work so well with RP, but then the longer I had it on, I realised I would so wear this with regular wear. The hair is actually really inexpensive too so do not miss out on it.
The one shoulder tops are also from there, and come in lovely colours, the whole store is a treasure trove of items, so be sure to spend the time to appreciate it. Also if you land in an empty store, the it is next door, I did that twice from picks and classifieds before I realised – naughty naughty.
I am wearing the new Natasha skin by Glance Skins. Pouty beautiful lips and gorgeous body as usual. the skin is one tone and 15 pretty make ups, from the simple and light, to dressy and dramatic. DEMO DEMO DEMO, and if Natasha isn’t all that and a bag of chips for you, then try on the other beautiful Glance skins.
Kookie last week released these fabulous pumps, the style is such a huge squee from me, based on the fact I have these exact shoes in a reddish black in RL, they are my favourite dress pants shoes, with incredibly high heels and platforms just like these. I was never able to find a pair like them again in RL, so to now have them in many colours makes me insanely happy. They are the perfect conservative look, with a non conservative adaptation.
You may notice I have one green lashes, really they are the same lashes I always wear, just tinted. the Diva lashes from LeLutka are all prim, no alpha and once fitted are sensational. Newdoll just converted after she noticed mine, and swears to never wanting to take them off, the great thing is that they are so easy to recolour, so you can go regular black or over the top hot pink, I used to love to wear green mascara in RL so that’s the way I went for the last few days.

It’s a healthy self interest
I have it on good authority, that to self love is to share the best of oneself with oneself, how much better than that can it get? When spending the evening swanning around in lingerie, you really get to enjoy the freedom that is Second Life. Both Newdolly and I went to visit Mel as he was rebuilding his store, and to his surprise we were both in lingerie…we decided to let him think that yes as all men predict, women do spend theiir time frolicing around in the knickers and gently nudging each other with pillows of the soft and fluffy variety – and no Mel is not that silly, but it was a good giggle for 2.3 seconds.
Today is Sunday, and on Sunday we will be having the opening as far as I know, of the Luxuria department of 5th & Oxford. What is Luxuria you ask? if you do not know then you best get on over there and see for yourself, or you can keep reading. Luxuria is the Lingerie department, that Roslin Petion has been working her delectable buns off on. Lingerie is something that she creates for not only the beautiful woman within, but for the manly man to admire and delight in. This lingerie is not just sexy layers to wear under clothes, but the true starting point of all that is woman.
It caresses, it entices and it truly intrigues, it is soft and beautiful and enough to make you fall in love with yourself first, and let the man come in second…and if your man knows whats good for him, he will always come second.
Gigglefits, I so want to leave it on that note, but lots more to talk about. The skins I am wearing are just gorgeous. The London skins come in lovely tones and divine make ups, the mouth is just hot hot hot. Glossy lips that have a definite petulant pout that we all find sexy as hell. I really love the shading on the skins the bum is great, especially for lingerie, and it is all about the DEMO DEMO DEMOs so be sure to grab lots. With Cupcakes though there are so many superb skins there, that if this one doesn’t grab you maybe others will, so plan to spend some time there.
New hair New Hair NEW HAIIIIIRRRRRR. Wow wasn’t today crazy with releases. Maitreya released some beautiful updo styles, and I am wearing one of them on the left, with a texture change headband, it is a lovely ballerina looking style, that will get so much wear this season.

What the hell is Drank ? who wants to drink soda to go into a coma
Whimsy and I stayed up all night taking pics, Newdoll joined us, and even though her and I have the same timezone roughly, it is getting late for her too. Last night just before Whimsy was going to bed, I begged her to come to one more store with me, I found a link to a store I blogged almost two years ago, and wanted to go back and check in on it. WOAH what a transformation, from a few swimsuit vendors to a multi story – there were too many to count – store.
Meghindo’s is an all growing store, from Lingerie and swimwear to high falutin gowns, and everything in between. Much to Whimsy’s dismay though a lot of it is done in a way as to combine whole looks and only have them available that way to buy, even shoes are included in some cases. Every single level there was more to ooo and ahhh over. One thing that was stand out stunning is the use of metalic like textures in her work, and the fact that they come up so beautifully, when it is really hard to keep that from out of world to in.
The accessories, the shoes are all part of the outfits or buyable in the store, so many incredible pieces available, and I am so in lust with the lace bag and boots. The clothing in this store is all about Sexy, so if you are looking for something to wear to the local girl scout meeting then this is not the store for you, but if you want to turn some heads at the local PTA and show them who’s boss then hell yeah represent.
New New Newness is about to be released at LeLutka, and the build about to be unveiled is incredible. I got a guided tour yesterday afternoon and if Thora ever needs a break from clothes and hair making, she can certainly take on the building world. The new build is a total return to all that is LeLutka, and the individual areas are going to have people really immersing themselves in the store as a place to spend time, not just buy and run.
You will notice a definite lag reduction, and also with the use of their new vendor system you will have full redelivery options on any future purchases, which is just awesome. The new Ava skins are the ones I am featuring today, and they come with 8 make ups eyeshadows on the skin, and lipsticks on the tattoos layers. So many possibilities with some amazing new hair attachments included as well.
All of the hair in this post is also part of the about to be released collection at LeLutka, stunning styles in their usual gorgeous textures. So me thinks that today should be spent spending hours of time shopping and enjoying Meghindo’s while you wait for LeLutka to re-open or you could just convince Whimsy to stay up later while she rants in voice, in a crazy whacko stupor cussing like a sailor being all ghetto.

I wanna be sedated
Wow it seems like ages since I blogged, but only a few days. Through the week we have caught up with so many things, the other day Whimsy, Marni and I went to a Haiku Speed build, Whimsy and I came across this concept a few weeks ago, and it was our first attempt. We had a blast and are hoping to do some more in the future.
If you have been under a rock in the past 24 hours the fact that Elikapeka of ETD is back will be news, with the new name elikatira, and two new styles have been released on the MarketPlace. It baffled me at first when ETD closed, not the closing part, as that was just shocking, but more the part where no one talked about it, or blogged it. I felt that something should be said/acknowledged about such a big deal…but then I realised that it was better to leave things unsaid, because she would be back, and talking about ETD as though truly gone might make that a reality.
For this post I am wearing one of the two new styles, Fresh. Fresh is a modern take on an 80’s look. The sidepony was a huge hair statement back then,.and only really achievable with certain length hair. The hair textures Elikatira have now are just beautiful, soft and pretty, and I for one cannot wait to see the styles that will come forth from this incredible creator. I also hope she makes more accessories and shoes, as that was a definitely growing aspect of her store in the past.
Marni Grut of Royal Blue has been creating up a storm lately, and I was lucky enough to see some of that process this week. It is just amazing from designer to designer how they go about similar things, by that I mean the steps they take to get to a final product. She is incredibly talented with sculpt making and her latest botties are proof of that. They are that perfect base of a boot shape that I love to wear, especially with pants. I don’t know what it is, but there is such a difference between boots and shoes, even when you don’t see the upper. These manage to give you that, without having an upper at all.
Whenever So Many Styles is in FLF I somehow manage to buy more of the store than even wondering about the item, it is the actual event that gets me over there. This time I was truly captivated by the outside of the store, I swear it is a new build, because I do not remember it ever looking like that before, but I could be hallucinating. Either way, I really wanted to shoot a pic outside, and generally I steer clear of location shoots, they annoy me, but that is usually because I want to find one, rather than having already found one.
The interesting thing about the sim SMS is on, is that it is encased in a sphere, so the sky is their own, no windlight no messing, it is easy no matter what settings you use. I logged in an alt to take a pic using Kirsten as you know I play with that viewer from time to time, with not just shadows but the every day. It is easier to have the alt log it in as there is no inventory to load, and the settings to shadows are already there, so it was a point and shoot, done! moment.. The pose is actually also from SMS as are the others used, that was a purchase on another flf day that took me there lol.
I adore the tweed corset I have on, it was instant draw, one day I will get the rest of them I think. Beautifully sculpted and a stunning green. The skirt is from Luck Inc and if I have something in fatpacks you will see it more often, being able to just go direct to the item you know you want and grab the colours your thinking of is bliss.
Back to my VR Studio and onto some in sphere shots, changing to a cardigan I have from SMS’s contribution to The Dressing Room in the past, this colour is not in the store, but I did check it does come in others that are, gorgeous colours too, so you wont be disapointed. I love Orange, always have, citrus colours rock my world, the legging also from there come in one great pack. Both items and the addition of another colour of the fab ruffle skirt go so well with the necklace also made by SMS, Irie Campese really does have a creative knack…from clothes to poses to accessories, shifting from one to the other.
I am wearing the beautiful Trinity skin by Redgrave, this is a recent release for Redgrave and the make ups on this tan tone are just stunning. The skin started with the paper tone as far as I can tell, and I am pretty sure that many begged for a more human like tone so they too could look as lovely. I do not know for sure, but from watching how it seemed to evolve it seems as such.
The pouty mouth on this skin is a big draw, if you love a good pout then DEMO DEMO DEMO. The different tones have different make ups, so you may just have to get them all lol.

Wear Gray on Bandana Day
I tp’d over to Wear Gray first thing upon logging in today…and grabbed some lovely items. Not all of them shown, but the ones I bought are all 100% going to this worthwhile cause. With it being also Bandana Day and the last day of Hair Fair 2010 I decided it was perfect for a combined post.
The first outfit is from Izzies, this combination outfit is both nautical and perfect for whatever the day piles on you. Whether it be business or pleasure the outfit is both smart and casual, and desirable for all age groups. Worn altogether, or mixing the pieces with other sets, you will get a lot of vaule out of this ensemble. The Bandana I have chosen to wear with it is by Miel, and this style is their own creation, which actually alludes more to having your hair encased and tied off, which makes it a great accessorie for all year round.
what Tekeli-li was able to do with the bandana kit blew us all away, this armor style bandana is just amazing and you can get the male version also. Do not miss out on any of the great work done by so many different creators this year, not just hair people. The lingerie is another Wear Gray item by Sassy Kitty designs, and yay for Grey stuff, I love grey as you know, and having the ability to donate and get more beautiful grey stuff is just a bonus. Make sure you head on over if you haven’t already and get your Wear Gray items. The cause is great and the organisers have done a fabulous job.

Gasps and Exhales
Ok, I ran out of energy, definitely not motivation. I realised that once it hits Midnight tonight I will not be able to wear hair for any more posts about Hair Fair, as it will be Bandana Day… one of my favourite parts of the whole fair. So even though I did not get every hair I have shot, it just gives me more hair to wear in every post after it ends lol.
I feel a bit like a Brady in that last combo pic, either that or a guest on Celebrity Squares – wonders if you even have such a show, as I only ever see the concept in satire/comedy skits. I am not going to drive you crazy and talk about every single thing as I often do, this post is too big, and I am seriously starting to see disney birds flying around my head.
So lets pretend I know how to skim and get to the point of things. First pic bottom right, the Ty style has been originally shot for Men, but even Kavar has realised that women have a fondness for dreadlocks and may reshoot the ad, mind you have you seen that ad, wowza. The texture on this hair is amazing, scares me to think of hair in that condition, but in Second Life you can totally rock that. ChiChickie did some great looks with so many different ways of doing hair, which I find really interesting, from regular prim manipulation to alpha textured curls.
Hair on the right again in the next pic, that is Shag, and even though I only shot the girls, it is the mens hair that got a lot of talk around town, even down to men wizzing past me at the fair in desperate search of the booth – true story. Raspberry Aristocrat on the left has done amazing things this year, as she did last year also. I had a chance to chat with her about her experiences with Hair Fair and it is always lovely to get that feed back by those that matter, the ones giving of themselves and their creations to such a worthwhile cause.
Iren did a lot of hat/bandana looks, they are either your thing or not, I am a huge fan of hat/hair as you know, and I really liked the braid cap look. MadDesigns went wild with some amazing hawkes, not only the male one but also this ‘I am woman hear me roar’ kind of look, incredible work, reminds me of a curly DD. It is truly amazing what hair bases seem to inspire. I am wearing the ZombiePopcorn or Bust polo by Boom, they have a few items going out with that event, and if you aren’t in their subscribo you may have missed the news that they have started rewards for shopping in their store, you should all look into that, so cool.
Ah fri.day so feminine and so divine, the bows interwoven in the locks, these will be worn forever and always. Wasabi Pills did some exciting and out there styles also and I couldn’t help but wear some coming soon items naughty me. Rezlpsa Loc is a name that we all had trouble pronouncing preceding the event, and it doesn’t even matter, because their hair is enough to remember them by, lovely thick locks. Damselfly is one of those stores that produces an abundance of hair all year, but I think that the style worn with clothing is just amazing, with its own hair base tatoo giving it a real pulled back look.I am wearing dandy set and boots again from Miel but who can blame me I love this set, and when I get all colours of something, you will always see me work them back into future posts.
LoQ came out of nowhere as a hair creator, and this hair fair release shows that they are here to stay, the cloche bunny lace overlays are genius and very alluring. Rosy Mood is another happy return to Hair Fair this year and the styles are so adorable, I especially like the pretty floral textures in the headband that changes for this lovely bun. I am wearing another polo from Boom this time with a surf print, showing off my tummy from the new Sonja skin by Idiosyncrasy being released this weekend. If there are still any lefft, a special make up was released in all tones and options for a drastically reduced price today, so you should get on over and try it out.
I love what Surf Co released this year at the fair, her first fair, and I hope not her last. the hair I am wearing in the main pic is so reminding me of the little girl in Monsters Inc lol.
Ok I have completely run out of air, love to you all, don’t forget tomorrow its bandana Day but also last day at the fair, so do not miss out on helping the Wigs for Kids charity, Mark their rep came in world last night to say thank you to everyone and we had an awesome time talking to him and his wife, their first time in Second Life and they were amazed at how generous everyone has been.
