Today is the last day of Fashion For Life, and Cajsa and her team have done an incredible job, the builds, the stores and just the overall wellbeing. It has been a great group of chatters in there, so nice and excited leading up to and during the event, lovely to see. You can visit my store, and SySy’s who is on the same sim, as well as all the great stores surrounding us.

I went shopping at TLC the other day, Whimsy and I were in heaven, Bali heaven. She bought a resort, and I made myself a cozy little escape on our studio roof. I love this furniture by Junk, it is fantastic, the colours, the style, and that its mod, just made me so happy. The candle is smaller when purchased, but with some modification it became beautiful oversized lanterns. Also seeing as I rezzed three benches and the throw and cushion are not texture change, I was able to select face and tint those manually, to give them a little less samey samey look.

Summerfest is coming soon, and I am excited, as last years was amazing. The glasses I am wearing are part of the coming soon items, from Faenzo, and they are just beautiful modeling and texture work. They have also done a fantastic looking bag that is also a must have.

The bikini I am wearing is from C88 and by Baiastice, she does some wonderful swimwear, at this event and past events…so if you are looking for great mesh swimwear, start there.

Lastly my hair, now this hair actually comes with hair base tattoos, and they are great, but because I am wearing a mesh head I could not wear the ones that come with, but luckily the skin I have on right now has a hairbase option that worked perfectly with this kickbottom style from Tableau Vivant. I used to wear my hair slicked back and tied off like this a lot, and prance around like a pony in RL, well ok I didn’t prance, but I do love this look and with a hair base and the viking theme of The Fantasy Collective that just started today, it is ALL WIN…and rawr comes in a Mens version too, so get in on that, because YUMMY.

I don’t have feet on, it is kind of bizarre. I also had to actually look for alphas and work that all out, seeing as my head alpha has feet and hands included, so I had to find the head with hands option only. I did all this of course while standing in the middle of an event, bald and having fun with SySy.

I had to take her over to Kustom9 as she wanted those adorable Mexican dresses from my post the other day. I wanted to go back and get the boots I had ummed and ahhh’d over and then couldn’t get out of my head, by Bleich. They are very cool, and I love the look of a real frock dress and then workers boots and pretty socks…what is not to love.

The dress is actually by the same creator as the others, I went over to their store and fell in love with it. It is sold separately, but it was a fatpack must. Hud driven and 7 colours to choose from, one is even pure white, which is all win. The detailing again is perfect, and the fact that it buttons up the back with real buttons had me at Hello.

The other thing to have me at Hello, is this hair by Chemistry, the hair that just keeps on giving. I had seen it on someone else earlier in the week, and made Whimsy remind me we had to go get it. This was a strange thing though, the store we tp’d into was tiny, and in the sky, with hair posters that did not look like vendors at all. There were also two people in there, and honestly I felt like we had tpd into someones house by accident. We left, relooked up the creator, and sure enough it was the correct place.

The vendors which just looked like pictures of pretty girls on a wall, were not buyable, and it was only by knowing that hand icon means scripted, did I actually left click on one. Then out of nowhere two tabs up top and three HUDs of different haircolours appeared…that’s right that is all hidden unless activated, which to me may mean a hell of a lot of lost sales, because there is no signs to explain this to anyone, so if you have ever been and thought they were not for sale, go back :).

Now the hair I was looking for, was actually not one of the styles for sale in the store, it was an older style, as it did not have the same hud options, but I did buy a few in the store and then the others off Marketplace. The style does keep giving though, as it has not one, but three bangs styles. The original in the pic on the right, then two add on attachments for the middle and left looks. Fantastic value, and so much fun to wear. I even wore the bangs with another style of hair, and even though they clipped a little at the sides, honestly you would have to really look to realise it wasn’t created that way.

I am wearing a puca shell necklace I picked up from Renegade when visiting their little store on the Kustom9 sim. It is always important to buy things in Satelite stores, I know we all tend to discover a store, and then TP to the mainstore so that you can see the whole collection, but without purchases in the actual satelites, the owners of them don’t know it is through them that they are making the customers.

I have had a few of these necklaces over the years, they are kind of a right of passage Down Under. Once you hit 13 or so they are a full time wear, then other bits and pieces replace them, but I loved mine so much, and I still have a white one, around here somewhere, my original was coral coloured more than white.

Whimsy and I shopped up a storm yesterday. One event we hit hard was Kustom9, us and 71 other people, it was packed to the rafters, but well worth the visit. It has been a long while since I have done a three me post. I decided that with this dress from Mikunch at K9 it was a must. The dress is available in different versions, but each version comes with a texture change hud of four types/colours. I got the two on the left and I have dresses for all of summer now. This dress is my dream dress. Not only does it have the beautiful Mexican embroidery and detailing, but also has an option for petticoat trim on the bottom as an added attachment, so you get 8 dresses for the price of one, and honestly at the price it is, it is not even one IMO it is so inexpensive.

The red shoes I am wearing, are also options driven, you get three different base options, the colour, wood or black, and then also different texture change toggles for the laces, so gold, silver or black. The cut out chevron look is fantastic, really having a focus on the cut outs makes it even more intricate, because a lot of math would be involved in making that work, so well done.

The other great footwear is at another event, a bi-weekly event at Suicide Dollz. The Severity treaded platforms are by Lindsey Warwick. They are a great platform style, and the treaded base makes them wonderful for long time wear and tear. I love shoes that make me want to stomp around, so ladylike.

Little Bones has some lovely hair at Kustom9 as well as one I picked up at another event along the way. I really love how her hud is created too, it is very cute, and the attention that designers put into their huds is really lovely. One day when I have time, I will have to redo mine…get more creative with them, it is nice to stretch the photoshop skills occasionally.

I ran over to Faun to grab these fantastic gladiator sandals as soon as I saw them. They are really beautiful and I had to get a few colours, which worked out great as they look so wonderful in this nude colour with the cream glomesh halter from One Bad Pixel and the wonderful new open front wrap skirt by Tee*fy that is at C88.

I was starting to feel my grecian kind of vibe, and needed an armband to pull that off, which was an easy choice with the beautiful older set from Zaara. I then felt a bit bare around the neck, so the necklace from the same set finished it off perfectly.

Unless you have been under a rock you are well aware of Fashion For Life being in full swing. It is an amazing event, the builds are fabulous, and the fantastic Cajsa Lilliehook and her team have put this wonderful Chariy event together. Unlike previous years, the donation collections have changed. Now every item in every booth is a donation item. So whatever you purchase a percentage will go to the American Cancer Society, so now is the time to get your shopping on, as it is not only NEW items, but the stores also have some of their favourite items from their stores, so you can grab items you may have been wanting and helping a charity at the same time.

I have a booth there on the Trek sim, and the whole build on that sim is aeroplane themed, and very cool. I am actually on a sim crossing border, so once you leave me, you get to enter an amazing jungle build. Wanderlust is the theme of the whole event, and I just loved going on a tour through all the different themed sims. Lots of great photo ops, and make sure you check out all the sponsors booths, because they make sure that the event can happen by paying for a huge chunk of the sims.

It was so hard to not just burst into love for the NEW The Skinnery skin that I have on today, but I controlled myself for two whole paragraphs, because Fashion For Life is a MUST get too and soon for everyone. For a start it is a perfect skin for those wanting a little bit more ethnicity in their look, but astounding how it can look so different on different people. You will see that when you look at the snapshot of SySy and I, she came over after I told her it was out, and we are wearing the exact same tone, and yet look nothing alike. I love that about these heads. I am wearing the Slink Visage Emma head and of course so is SySy.

The great thing also is because we are already The Skinnery fans, we only had to buy the appliers and use skins and hand and feet appliers we already had. It comes with 8 lipstick options, four brows and a hair base, and it is just gorgeous.

I am loving this new hair from Lamb that is part of C88 this round, there are two styles, one is siren and this one is song, I especially like that this amazing red from the bloods pack looks so fierce with the eyebrows of the skin. The hair frames the face beautifuly and the top by Tee*fy just bares the shoulders and lets the strands of hair fall so well.

The pants are from a new to me store Kaithleens that does original mesh items. These pants are awesome looking, but I did notice that the rigging at the knee area was not bending as it should when sitting or bending the knees. Not that I do a lot of sitting anyway, so for me they work, but if that is a deal breaker for you, make sure you demo.

Lastly the great sandals by Fri.day, slipping onto my flat slink feet so effortlessly. I am enjoying all the great flat shoes being created lately, as there was definitely a need for those, to even it out with all the mid and high feet already getting strong support. They are perfect shoes for taking a stroll, and you can wear them while you explore Fashion for Life 🙂
