Big News is that Maitreya is about to release the Suave Mesh shoes in their Maitreya Gold location – Opposite Mainstore entrance. Then we have the upcoming Celoe release about to happen in the next few days. The collection is classy and beautiful with a mix of separate and full piece items.

Today I am showing part of the Celoe release, the Coco top/mini dress, which will be available in either solid or print fabrics and is a divine and richly textured creation. The balloon skirt style is fun and can be worn with pants underneath, or any other type of leggings, stockings and so on. I went with a fun and funky kind of mix and match for the solids, then a more subtle look for the prints.

I am not just a lover of the balloon skirt of this though, it is the shape of the breast cups that make me so grateful for mesh, they are indented at the breast and the effect of that especially on the solids is really beautiful. I also had to use one of the Adorkable floored poses again to show how mesh can look amazing even seated, something we did not have luck with when it was all sculpts and prims in the past. The chardonnay pants are stylish high waist pants, not overly high, but you will see them in closer detail in a future post, for this they are just neatly tucked under.

Onto the footwear, these are the first all mesh feet in shoes style that Maitreya has released under the Gold label, and I am looking forward to more. The style has many features and a NEW hud system that is very snazzy. The features of the shoes are that each colour has the option of with and without socks, as well as 4 wedge patterns, each colour slightly varies so I did a pic of every four on every colour – I was excited.

The shoes come in rigged – standard sizes – and unrigged versions, when you have the unrigged pair on the hud will automatically add an extra option for resizing. also when you are in the resize menu there is a footcam option that brings your camera down to your feet so you can see that the sizing is going ok for you up close and personal. The backs of the shoes are probably my favourite too, the criss cross leather strapping is definitely a key element to the design and oh so pretty.

Go and grab the demos, because the socks options and wedge options are so cool, and you will be needing new shoes to go with all the stunning new items coming from Celoe later in the week.

Trench coats are synonymous with sexy, and I had to restrain myself from being all about the trench coat and only the trench coat for this post. Mind you in most situations where that is a thing, it often plays out badly. I think the idea of being bare under there, with trench coats is that they are so classically refined, they are very proper and have an almost built in barrier with the belt and the buttons, so the idea of mixing the two ideas is fascinating.

Mon Tissu just released this Bristol trench which is a medium length style, just skimming the tops of the thighs, and with double breasted button detailing that is really nicely done. The oversized buttons even added to the strapping at the cuffs is a good effect. With the options of wear, there are many, first off anything system is going to work, but diving into the mon tissu past releases I was able to go hybrid with the westbury skirt that is both system and mesh,so that fit perfectly. I was all about the yellow and red today and then Sofia Gray came to visit and showed me that great minds think a like. Then moving on to the great mesh skinny jeans that are part of Tutti Frutti’s release for the My Attic event that ends tomorrow night, so don’t miss out. I can’t believe that it was me that ended up blogging the leopard print version and not Whimsy, as she is animal print mad, but then it is probably more to do with the fact that she will wear them lots and lots even after she does get there eventually. She did do a great post wearing the red paisley style versions HERE the other day. After these sexy jeans in this print though, I can feel becoming a fan of them myself…I am also loving the other prints especially the gold and pink, you need to see them for yourself.

The other great fit under the pants, were the mesh leggings from Maitreya, I am wearing the just leggings version, but they are the ones that also come with the amazing shoe portion as well, so that means another look to go with the coat really well. There of course can be some clipping on any mesh over mesh dependant on the animation or pose, but unless I went into extreme poses this combo was perfect, as were the others.

The boots I am wearing in all three pics are the bulldog booties from Kitties Lair, these sturdy ankle boots have all sorts of attitude. The lace up fronts are great, the sturdy heel is high enough to almost be signature KL, and I just love the white ones, because with the blue coat and white leggings, I felt all secret agent turned sexy nurse for a moment there.

All of the hairstyles I am wearing are from Elikatira, I went with shorter and updo styles today, because I wanted you to see the front of the coat better, the styles are all so wonderful and I really do need to wear hair lots and lots of times. The necklace is one of a set from Gossamer Jewellery that is the Banshee skull set, no skulls on the short version, but the combo and the open and long are all must haves. New releases about at the moment. The seasons they are a changing, and the versatility of separates are becoming more and more important. Sometimes with mesh it is a struggle to find a top and bottom that work together, but the three stores featured today, actually mix and match with each other well.

Maitreya has done a three items release – the Suave Shoes are COMING SOON to the Maitreya Gold department,  and they are stunning  with lots of bells and whistles – pants, sweaters and sweatshirt dresses. The Stefani pants are a drop crotch style pants that are styled in such a way that they are going to be firm favourites for many. The tie at the front is beautifully created, the ribbed tight fit of the ends of the pants are so adorable and give us a chance to wear them in creative ways, I look forward to seeing them tucked into larger shaped boots in the colder months to come. The pockets give them a little more than sweatpants look, and they seriously have this hidden long john thing going on for me that I love.

Then moving onto the Lux sweaters, they come in four different wool types, with stripes in subtle and more detailed knits, they look so snuggly, and the wing like sleeves are really well designed as the arms can be such a hard area on the avatar to work around this style just gives so much to the overall look of the sweater, with practicality as a bonus. Then the Milia sweater dress is a mix of sexy and innocent at the same time. The shapelessness of the lower portion of the dress actually will get temperatures rising, as one can only imagine what is underneath. Again the sleeves have been created to enhance that area rather that distract, and as casual as the dress seems, add some pants underneath and some accessories and off you go for a day out, or an early dinner date.

The pants I am wearing underneath it and also with some of the sweaters are the latest release from Mon Tissu. The cotton pants come in a lovely colour range, and the fit is delightful. I especially like the rolled up bottoms which look so cool and casual, and are perfect for the kind of looks I was going for with the post. The other newness was the NYC top from Emery, a nice tshirt style top with lovely shading and a great wide collar, but without being off shoulder…definitely fun, and a great way to show you are thinking about the people in New York who right now are batting down the hatches to keep safe.

The amazing items I have all around me for this post are from Cheeky Pea and Pilot, a collaboration Garden Party set that is available at Collabor88/October, so be sure to swing by and grab it, the items are so lovely, and I am in love with the chairs, table and bench especially. Lots of poses come with the items, but I used some of the Adorkable Falling Poses from My Attic that is on at the moment, as well as some poses that are part of Cinema which is also still on, so you need to grab all those too. The coffee tray which gives great coffee is part of the Fair event and is an item by What Next, really a must have for those that like to entertain or just sit around the house and drink coffee, read a good book and chillax with some jazz.

Lovely new hairstyles from Exile finish off all the looks, they are so pretty, the last one really reminds me of Natasha Lyonne from American Pie.

High waist pants are always a lovely and classic look, when it comes to jeans though, they are a change of pace from the normal, and take a very particular figure to pull them off – or on for that matter – well. These new rise skinny jeans though are so charming, and give a great look with really cute colours to choose from.

What is more fun, is that these pants by The Secret Store match so well with the colours of the new simple vests and the new oleander pointed flats from Tee*fy. The vests came out yesterday and come in solid, stripes as well as some lace versions. The oleander pointed flats are part of the My Attic release for Tee*fy and are available there for only 95L each pair until 31st October.

I really like the combination of vest and pants, they are just light and charming, and even a nice turtle-neck underneath for cooler days would work well. Or something big and snuggly like the circle scarf from Maitreya would work too, keeping your arms still free of fabric but your chest and neck nice and warm.

I am wearing two styles from Exile in the post, the All for love which is also part of My Attic and the Wild Horses which was last weeks release and so cool with the large bangs over one eye look. Also the fact that the crystal texture has a minty kind of ombre look to it, you can’t really see in the pic, but trust me was so awesome too with the mint of the look.

Every once in a while I get all stressed out about my blog and my style of blogging. I gaze longingly at pictures people do that are just so amazing, and thought provoking, they tell a story on their own, and are just visually incredible. I have always been about the items, showing the clothing as it is intended and so on, so then I check myself and remember it was my way, it is still my way, and that is ok…then wash rinse repeat every few months…poor Mel and Whimsy who have to listen to me be all emo about it.

Then sometimes, which is rare, I decide to take a pic that isn’t my way, something a little more creative, that doesn’t necessarily show off the exact detailing of the items, but still does I hope make people want to consider buying them for themselves, or make people curious about what else the store may have…as that is always my blogging goal. So that was my aim with today’s picture, it is not my usual style, but it is definitely something I would feature in my usual way, this time I just decided to not include that type of picture too – usually I chicken out and do both.

The inspiration actually came from the hair by EMO-tions from My Attic , then grew with the help of the beautiful new pose pack ‘floored’ by Adorkable Poses, and I kind of love that about it. The hair makes me think at first of Fairies and gardens and pretty flowers, but sometimes other things happen to fairies…darker things.

This skin today is such a different look than what I am used to from this creator, and I am totally entranced by it. The more time I spend in it, the more I can very much see it becoming a firm favourite for many that like a good freckle skin. This one isn’t just good though, the detailing on the way the freckles are placed around the body, heavier in some areas and lighter in others, makes me think this is someone that knows freckles intimately.

Not only does it have freckles, but in the tanner tones it really has that sunkissed smattering look, that one gets when one has been out in the sun all day. For me it happens and my face is suddenly a freckle zone, not only more of them but deeper than usual, but then they just fade away as the night wears on, so it really is effective that this skin has that fresh and frolicking in the sunshine look about it. Especially with the shading around the bridge of the nose , it is a great effect so you definitely need to try it for yourself.

There are lipstick colours in soft pinks, very natural and glossy looking, as well as cleavage layers and a combination of both so that you save on tattoo layers, which is a great thing to do for the customers. The Crank skin by Red Mint is definitely intriguing and the tones available are amazing too, from doll like to full fantasy and the in between.

The skirts I am wearing are the Falling skirts by SySy’s and are part of the My Attic event. The colours of these mesh skirts are just lovely, the print is beautiful and definitely on track with the ‘Falling into you” theme for the event. I am really enjoying watching SySy develop mesh, as each new item is an exciting new possibility, and the fact that she removed everything from before mesh to start anew was an incredible leap of faith, so we are excited to be part of watching that grow.

I was even happier to find that the mimikri sashes I wore once in a previous post fit well over, to add a little more to the look and that the colour palette for them was spot on with SySy’s just made me even happier. Even better was how well the colours worked with items from Maitreya, older items two of them, but I swear I have worn the RB tanks so often since their release, they are always my go to tank. Then the tomatoe red of the athena sweater just matched so well with the red skirt it was definitely the colours to end on.

Another My Attic item is the Lente hair and hat by Mina. The hat even has a hud that has the same colours as the skirts, I forgot to change between the pink and green though, I was still too busy gazing at my freckles. I really like these big floppy hat hairstyles, and with all My Attic items being 95L definitely grabbity grab time.

The jewellery I am wearing is from Gossamer Jewellery, and is called Voodoo Rocker, which is definitely rocker like, but I really really like the bracelet and the style of it went well with the kind of boho look I was working with, as well the necklace in the cross version worked well too, I will have to wear the skull versions with something more edgy next time.

Just a quick post – even though every time I aim for those I tend to type more. The new leather cropped biker jackers are really must haves. Even though I wore them bare today, it is definitely going to be one of those items that allow for using up all those system layers we have been neglecting with so many awesome mesh items lately.

The colours are fabulous, and I was over the moon that the leather skirt from a completely different designer had the exact same shade of brown in its pack, that is a rare thing, especially for the type of brown it was, and on leather too. The net leggings that I am wearing are from Kitties Lair, they are upstairs in the store, but you can also grab a similar net effect full catsuit as a group sale discount item, if you are in the group you can grab it for only 19L. The stockings were higher at the waist but are mod so I was able to edit them down, the catsuit though isn’t mod, so don’t confuse the two.

Feeling a bit country at the moment, with my new hat, boots and awesome denim dress. The setting is the New Falling into You – Market set that Whimsy and I created for My Attic this session. It is Pumpkinpalooza up in here, and I just love the idea of visiting a market like this with fresh produce, home-grown on some imaginary farm. The Market set is also very low prim, it looks like hundreds but its about 47 altogether, even less if you make it smaller size wise, which is so cute for kids to play shopping games with friends. At 95L for the whole thing during the event, definitely fun.

The setting was perfect also to show off my new items. The hat is the revenge hat from Fri.day that they released for Cinema, while I debated the two colour choices, finally settling on black, it was of course brown that would have been more viable with the belts and boots overall…I do wish in this case though the hat had been texture change, being a more versatile accessory, but the style of it is so perfect and cool, I am happy either way, especially as I got to wear it so fast on an impulse buy.

Under the hat, with hair being so complicated to fit under hats usually, I took a hairbase from LeLutka, then added the tail portion of the Belle hair, and the bun from the swish hair over the top at the join to give it a more realistic look. I love all the additional pieces in LeLutka styles lately, because you can do wonderful things like this with them.

I was really excited to learn that Babette Ultsch of Kitties Lair was back and creating in Mesh…first off just that she was back and creating was yay worthy, but mesh too was just wonderful news. Her footwear in the past had been fond favourites for years, especially as she did tend to do incredibly high heels and sexy shoes. Then also the clothing of past releases were always adored, case in point the cut off denim shorts she released eons ago that had a bit more cheek in them than regular cut offs and were lots and lots of fun, you can see that old pic HERE.

So to have her back with both is exciting. The new Betsy Corsage dress is a denim strapless dress that is very well constructed, with wonderful detailing and a fantastic movement in the back, definitely going to get some attention there. Not only the back though, the chest area of this dress adds a lot to the shape and form of the body. I am actually wearing a smaller size than I usually do, because its an asset friendly dress. Definitely a design for those more ample up top, so for those who may have in the past had to up a size to have the chest area fit, Kitties Lair is looking after you. There is also the added benefit of a HUD with the dress allowing for the denim change, belt colour change as well as the metal of the flat studs on the bodice in either silver or gold.

On the footwear front, the 7th Street boots are beautiful, whether worn with this style dress, or with pants or a lovely coat, the style are going to be worn often with the upcoming layers weather. The contrast turned over tops are lovely, but I realy like the zipper side detailing and the gorgeous stacked heel. The heel also being really well shaped and signature high. DEMO DEMO DEMO it all.

In the past I have rattled on about ‘Bloggers Fate” and how items just seem to come together by pure fate, and how you can be searching around for something to add to a look and it just falls out of the sky, whether by a bloggers pack drop or even just a well timed notice from a group like What’s New SL or a stores subscribo. Sometimes though, this bloggers fate comes to mind when I have neglected to get something blogged well after its release and I get all anxious about it, but still it goes unblogged and then, KABAM! the blogging fate kicks in and I get all happy that by waiting I found the perfect compliment to the items.

Such is the case with today’s post. I feel like the release of these beautiful floral motif halter tops by One Bad Pixel was months ago now, but it really wasn’t, the guilt of not posting them right away has me imagining things. The halter tops are so sexy and a great way to show off what remains of your summer tan, and fabulous assets, because they give very very hot side viewage. I like the soft floral prints giving it an ability to be worn in the day and into the warm evenings, were as the previous glomesh style was pure evening wear. I am so glad I waited to blog these. The soft blends of colours go so well with the boyfriend cords that Beetlebones has just released as part of the My Attic event.

All items at My Attic are 95L while they are in the event, and after the 31st of October they will go to regular store prices. Not only are they a bargain at the moment, but they also come in PACKS! so you get light or dark packs for that price, amazing. Then not only do you get lots of colours, but they have been made to have a tucked in version, which means that they go in more at the waist and will allow for a better fit with most mesh tops, so this is a great bonus and very thoughtful of the creator.

Other items that I was behind on featuring, are the Mermaid inspired eyeshadows by Chelle, that again also just perfectly blended in with the clothing, to make the whole look tie in together. Even though a little over the top make up wise, with the floral and the amazing ceramic headpiece by Pididdle – also a My Attic item – it softens it up enough to be totally how I would work it for the day.

The headpiece sits atop the hair that Exile has released for My Attic, and this style is a really nice long length at the back with it tucked behind the shoulders, leaving them bare and just perfect for the halter style of the top. I cannot wait to see more behind the shoulders styles, as with lots of layers and getting warmer for the cooler months ahead fashion wise, this is definitely going to be something we need more of.

Cinema is another event that is running at the moment, and this necklace I have on inspired by dog tags, is a Gossamer Jewellery item for the event. The detailing on it is amazing, what is being done with mesh gets even more appealing every day.

The poses I am using are by Ploom, and two of them – the two on the left side – are part of the Silence set that is also a My Attic release, they actually come with a raven bird prop and can look very intense for the spooky festivities coming at the end of the month, but with lighter colours and no birdy, the poses are still great for fashion.

Just past the mid way mark for the month and as some events are winding down, some are about to begin. Before that happens though, some more items from FaMEShed and Collabor88 for the month, as well as the wonderful poses that Adorkable Poses did for Cinema. They did a whole series of Sci – Fi sets for the event, but regardless of theme the poses work for all sorts of moods and settings.

The dress I am wearing is by Rebel Hope and part of this months FaMESHed event, as is the hair I am wearing which is a lovely style by Monso. The wrap style belted dress is just perfect for all sorts of occasions, and this style is always so flattering, and can be dressed up even further if desired. I went with a mix of glam and funky with my look, the gorgeous hat with veil by LaGyo that is part of Collabor88, and then the beautiful boots by LeLutka.  The little balls on the hat are so cute, and work well with the studs on the collar of the dress.

The skin I am wearing is the new Roza skin by Glam Affair, a basics collection with really lovely soft make ups. The other items worn are the amazing mesh eyeliners that are also part of Glam Affairs latest release. The liners are really fun to wear and definitely add a level to skin. You definitely need to try on the demos of not only the beautiful skin but get yourself all the liners too, they are Must Haves !
