A pirate life for me
Like anyone I love a great deal on incredible clothing, and this one was certainly a surprise. Not a day deal or a hunt, not involved with anything else but withing their own store. Ok maybe a little bit of a hunt in the fact that the colours are spread within the store in such a way that you cannot help but admire all the glorious clothes you have most likely admired for years. I ended up walking out of there not only with 4 different colours at an incredible price each, but also another dress I had coveted forever, so it may have not ended up costing me so little, but it got me there and I loved it.
The outfit is the Lacey Lace mini dress, which is more of a two piece than a whole dress, but the style of this is so cool it can go from work to play so easily, and in the white and lighter brighter colours to choose from, can easily be considers resort date wear. Nicky Ree fans will already know that for the rest of January the set is 50L and there are so many colours to choose from. Large black boxes with red ribbons all throughout the store, and seriously it was fun tracking down the many colours and admiring everything in there. The skirt comes in either system or micro, and it is such a lovely mix and match item.
Adding the pashmina belt from Veschi that I tinted red, and some Jewelry, I was all gypsy lovin or about to join the Pirate King, in the new scarab hair from LeLutka, also new in the hair department is Charlize the banana bun as Thora calls it. A stylish updo for work professionalism or formal affairs, and by affairs I don’t mean being naughty, or you might mess up your hair. I am watching reruns of Dawsons Creek and it is up to that part where he finds out his Mum is cheating …dun dun dunnnn, seriously though as much as his parents were hot for eachother , the dad is smkin hot and the mum whatever.
The earrings I am wearing are the incredibly stunning Statement earrings from FuLo who will be opening a main store soon, cannot wait these are HOT. More of the beautiful Tasia skins make ups, so many to choose from and again all those different cleavage options, hair bases, and bonus lipsticks on tattoo layers…so much to love.

Redcoats are coming
Whimsy just kidnapped me.Loving the new military style Tourist jacket from Fri.day, it totally compliments the older DeLa boots that have those similar brass buttons up the side that I love. I kind of felt all ex british hunter/soldiery, so went with layering some pieces from MichaMi one with a kind of animal print effect that was originally part of a swimsuit set, but totally rocks when layering.
What is not to love with the belt from Veschi, this comes with the dresses that are must haves anyways, so you will have ample opp to wear them. Banging out in my Maitreya roll up shorts to finish this stylish but way comfy look. The choice of what colour to feature today was made easy with the make up in the Elena Skin pack. This one number three is divine for those that love their rich red/burgundy’s.

Kiss My
Some stores just blow you away with how they present their product. Lately I have seen a few stores level up in that area, from how they present their items for purchase, as well as just the clean and crisp way they produce their ads.
One thing that absolutely floored me was the level to which this designer presents her work, not just by the info on the vendors, or the nice pictures, but the fact that every single colour is shown with different hair, skin and pose…really capturing the look and idea of the outfit. Not only is this really eye catching, but the chance to really snare the attention of the customer is much greater, because looking at the vendors you can imagine yourself as one of those girls and the item becomes more real to you.
The store is Veschi and the latest release by Alla Ruff is just incredible. The colours are rich and pretty, with spring in the air the corals, oceans and soft greens are perfect. A true grecian theme with incredible draped dresses in solid or two tone – they are GORGEOUS – the whole collections reminds me of Dynasty.
Not only did Alla feature all her colours in different looks, but two of the major sets came with an abundance of extras options if you feel like adding more to your look, and if not then you don’t have to. It is like a one colour extras pack option, with belts and trim in other colours to change your ensemble enough to be a different palette, much fun and totally lovely to wear.
The collection also comes with separates and the handbags are also by Alla, with all prims in the whole lot modify, because Alla is concerned about scripts being overused in SL at the moment… and by making them mod if you have any issues with editing them to fit you, she has offered to help you out if you contact her with purchase details, how cool is that :).
With this release I am wearing the latest from LAQ, the Elena skin is just beautiful, she is like the more mature version of Tasha which makes me very happy. The lips are fuller and the make up has a deeper range that is just gorgeous. As usual they come with hair base options and the body is stunning.
On my feet another look at the La Sauvage by Courtisane. These shoes have both the ankle strap version and the shoes only look, the colours went so well with this release of clothing too, I found that their goldish sole also worked so well with Veschi offering gold or silver versions in the jacket and bags.
With pose fair still on I am using poses from Avant a collab project of various designers, and Olive Juice. Olive juices release had me in stitches the names of these poses are so entertaining, and I am starting to think that the creator is in her mid to late 30’s because the names have way too much going on in that direction lol either that or she is staying up too late watching reruns, because Alice has not been on TV down here since the early 80’s lol , too funna.

No wonder Oysters make you wanna do it
The incredible blonde of this skin, had me leaning towards athletic style looks. But then I gave into the warm and cozy of the pieces shown today. The knits, tweed and tartans all make up such wonderful pieces to mix and match, or to wear solo depending on style.
The first two dresses have the same backs, but as raunchy as they are, the knits themselves tone that down just enough. Suspenders are something I have always loved the look of on womens fashion, very stylised and reminiscent of the roaring 20’s and mens pinstripe suits.
Many of the pieces shown today are older ones from Deetalez, and whether old or new to you, they definitely add and enhance wintery looks. A lot of the pieces have solids or print options, and I would be totally torn when it comes to choosing for these coats, as both are just divine.
The New Pearl Glow skin by LAQ has been developed for the natural blondes, the bottle blondes, and the blondes hiding inside of us all. It’s that perfect light shade that is both sunkissed and nordic looking, with the perfectly pulled back look that can look both casual and stunning.
Beautiful body base as usual, with subtle day to night time make ups. I really love that you get such a lovely natural blonde look, and it is great that it also comes without a base for those that just want the brows and not the hair. Hair base skins are so easy to fall for though as they really do change the look of hair you wear with them, often enriching the over all style because of the additional hairline, so make sure you try on the demos asap.

A few weeks ago Fiachra and I were out shopping, and ever since I quit smoking I have become a hummer. If I am not humming, I am singing, and if not that, then usually talking…you should all pray for the ones that have to sit on the receiving end of my mic lock.
One of my strangest habits, and probably not exclusive to me at all, is the changing of lyrics. I have some strange stories to do with potatoe frittata’s and some such sillyness, but the other day I excelled. So much so that Fia and I ended up playing with the lyrics to Let it Snow, and came up with the Second Life Version.

Anywho, today I wanted to show some of the latest, and incredibly hand drawn items from Alla Ruff of Veschi. Yes she has returned to us, and this is good, because I know that many were kind of worried about her, due to her main store being so empty for many months. But she is back, with a new store, and a killer new collection.
The first look I was parading happily around the grid a few days ago, when of course best laid plans and all got the better of me. I even had to resort to ‘make outfit’ which I rarely, and mostly never ever do. The coat is just gorgeous, it’s style and casual dressy look is fantastic. I love the loose ribbon tie look, with evocative shoulder pads to just add some rawr to your day. What could be even more rawr worthy than a hawke?
The other day Whimsy went traveling the grid and hailed for me to join her, and what a find. Not just the items in the store, but the build itself was just beautiful. More of a RP store, with a leaning towards Gor – I love those stores – we had an awesome time. Whimsy was even contemplating becoming a Panther, until of course I let her know she wouldn’t be able to wear her heels in the forest…so there went that idea lol.
Anyway the hair and clothing in the store was awesome, and I walked away with two new hawkes, which go wonderfully well with hair base skins , mind you I would be really interested to see someone do an actual shaved looking base, specifically for hawke wearers one day.
Moving on to another really cool item of clothing, it is the InfiniTie shirt, this time for the ladies, because I think Shiryu got told lol. When you buy the shirt you get it with collar and regular looking tie, then wearing an infinitie hud – they only cost a small amount per design – it sends your tie the info regarding your new texture, and voila STRIPES!…or whatever pattern you choose.
Total bloggers fate that I would randomly pick one from the selection, that had the lovely beige and gold stripes, and then unpack the fab leggings from Veschi and have a pair in a similar blending, wooot. The shoes and bag in their lovely soft pink suede finish just brought it all together for me, so much so I almost stopped taking pics after it and wanted to wear that look for the rest of the day lol.
I will definitely return to it though, because how awesome is the make up from the Adriana Xmas skin by YS & YS for this look, YUM…and not just skins now, they have leapt and bounded right into shoes and accessories of late, really shining in all directions.
The last look allowed for more Veschi, with the Elvis would be jealous Collared Shirt, and leggings, with the added thermal skirt by League. The thermal collection recently released is scrumptious, another reason I am pining for colder weather. So with the fact that it is well into Christmas day already here, and 6am and hot hot hot…these three combos make me feel not too hot, and not too cold, and I get to finish up with some incredible skins, and lots more lovely Veschi items to play with…YAY for seperates.
