I am super excited about this new shopping experience FAVWAY (Opens 6pm SLT 1st October 2026), from the build, to the creators participating – full disclosure Flair was invited to participate in this event, we are in the first round and already excited and looking forward to the next. The owners of Orphic and Kotto are the creators behind this event, with the owner of Chipsy as their Manager (she is an absolute pleasure to interact with) and honestly while all three are rather newish to Second Life as creators of these brands, what they have managed to achieve in such a short time is marvelous and why Second Life will have a proper resurgence in my opinion, because new creatives are going to keep people interested, and wherever these three came from, I for one want to see more of it.

The build is amazing, the booths themselves and the easy to navigate style of it all, is just making me very happy. If I can do it in a loop I am a very content shopper. The arrival area gives you options, you can go forward to through the sponsors area, and then at the end go right or left for Fashion and Home/Decor (Flair is in the Home/Decor Side (just saying). Either direction you choose will land you in the other end of the other, so as I said, one loop around the outside and you are good to go. Or you can choose a direction at the start, so if the middle sponsor area is a bit overcrowded, you can go left or right, it is very well thought out. I got my steps in this week walking around and around many times, just because I could, and because it was fun, the build while empty during set up just feels lively.

On top of the event itself, you have the launch of a new advertising system called FLIPSL which we got a teaser of earlier in the week and wowza, this is a huge undertaking, and just a great level to give to an event. It is looking to change the approach events have to showcasing their items, inbuilt links/slurls directly to the items as well as feature content, that essentially makes the magazine layout really intriguing and just something exciting visually. It definitely makes you want to level up your branding approach. As the website explains this is going to not only cover events, but also destinations and potentially other things as they come up. So for those that advertise, this is something to look into as far as how far those lindens will go for you and how seen the creators that participate in your event will feel knowing you are providing this kind of content as part of the package.

Now onto some goodies. Some items will be at Favway, and some not, I wanted to do a bit of a mix, as you know I like to show things that will work with other things when possible. If you are GenX like me, or if you just love your 80’s 90’s and lets be honest ANY DANCE MOVIE EVER….then you will feel what I was doing here with this look. This is me feeling my Electric Boogaloo joy. Honestly it took all my self control not to whip up a piece of flattened cardboard and spin, just because in Second Life I would not end up with broken limbs – I guess that depends on the pose.

The pants, and we do know I love pants, are by Orphic and are part of their Favway release, so is this adorable little backpack, how cute is that and it is rigged and fit like a dream over my clothing, it fits all the necessities I need to bust a move – I am really leaning into this being my Dance movie moment. The pants and the detailing are two separate parts, so texture wise you have a lot of options and I was so feeling my camo life this week. The set has a bodysuit, but the bodysuit in the lower area was a bit narrower than I usually wear, and I cannot imagine how that would work if worming along the floor – I have no idea if that is the name of that move, but it sure seems like it should be, ok I had to look it up, it is in fact The Worm. So as I said, the bodysuit, that I cannot wait to wear with something else, is gorgeous but narrow, so I went looking for something that worked, because it has to work under the clothing, and this bodysuit by Cynful, was perfect, not only did it fit, but it was the perfect look for that 80’s dancer vibe, and again it fit perfectly. It is a bit underbust revealing, but a bustier type bra – that I always wear by Nuve – worked perfectly.

Another item from Favway is this adorable polaroid camera accessory by Chipsy. It has a range of colours included, and it animates, when you take a picture, it comes out and you wave it about while it dries, it is so cute, and as shown you can edit it to put your own picture on it, so while I was taking pics of Favway I stopped for a moment, because a certain little chimp wanted some attention too. He is Dover and he is adorable.

I am almost equally smitten by this hair by Lamb that is at the current (Sept/Oct 2026) round of Collabor88. It is so flicky, and so bangalicious – I do love to just make up words. Exciting news on the Lamb front is that she has redone her textures, and while I am a fan of her hair textures as they were, these are beautiful, and when a hair creator takes the time to do a whole new batch of textures, that usually means there is more hair to come, because they get just as excited to use them, so I am very happy to see them. Also I am loving this set of Juicy Gloss Lipsticks by Adore & Abhor that are at this years Rock your Rack with 50% of all purchases going to the charity, so make sure you run on over, because they are divine.

Have I mentioned I am excited for October 1st and the Favway event opening up? I am, and I hope you enjoy it too, seeing a whole event with a new mix of content is always fun.
