Risky Business
Those that want to keep up to date with what desginers are up to, can generally get sneak peaks in their flickr accounts. Making a designer a contact means that if lucky enough to spot it, you can see items about to be released before they hit the blogs, and sometimes, if really lucky, days before they are even released.
Such was the case this past few days with Onyx LeShelles flickr, one of the designer duo behind Maitreya, has been sneaking some teaser pics in the last few releases, just to whet the appetites of loyal customers. So the past few days, many of us have been all a dither about the upcoming release of the Shearling Boots – more of those to come soon – and the prim feet socks.As soon as I saw these I knew how much fun I would have with them, I wont crack a crystal egg, but if I could find the right slide animation for my run or something I’d be set. Thankfully aDORKable poses had a perfect static pose for my recreation of this famous Tom Cruise socks move. I should be facing the other way, but I wanted to show off the new dress by Adam n Eve at the same time, perfectly created to be the ultimate shirt dress.
The socks are of course the new Maitreya ones, they come in packs of ten with not only flat feet, or pointed toes, but also the ability to make the feet vanish leaving the socks upper and can be worn with other shoes, for a most realistic look, because when the shoes come off, one click and your feet will reappear, how cool is that. I see these being an awesome gift for men this year too.

Ten Hut
I love the military look, I remember in the 80’s mid way, it was a huge fashion trend. Many would even shop at the military stores to bypass the huge increase that fashion put on the price tags of the same or similar items, I remember once finding out the ‘rule’ about wearing a sailors hat, or anyone in the armed services, you know the one, where if you wear a guys hat for more than ten seconds you have to……….. lucky for me a friend knew that rule and knocked it off my head at 7 lol.
Their uniforms are hot, especially the ones that they have to wear for special events, and the older style flap jackets of the british airforce, YUM. I have mentioned in previous posts my love for the movie for the boys, and this whole collection from LeLutka has me all excited. So many incredible pieces, this collection is HUGE and so unexpected, because the store has recently been putting out smaller releases more often.
I always go on and on about Thora and Minnu, I am naughty that way, because with every release for the past year or so, Azufr3 Catteneo has played a part, and from something as small as a scarf, has moved on to incredible work such as the Alpha Romper I am wearing in this post. I say scarf because in my inventory I have a scarf made by him from last Christmas and that was my first Azufr3 item. The detailing on the romper is that of a stunningly tailored coat with shorts, the front of the shorts to give them more realism is sculpted and so well done I didn’t have to refit a thing. Azufr3 knows women, he has a definite stand out creative style, but luckily for all of us, it blends so well with the LeLutka brand and Thora and Minnus own visions.
The set is made in such a way as that you can still wear the upper portion with other things, so if shorts are not your look, then you can definitely wear dress pants, or maybe leggings. In the main portion of the pic, I went with some stunning fishnets in a wide net, I love these, they are from a newer to me store called Erratic that joined what’s new sl a few weeks back, and I just had to have these stockings.
Everytime that LeLutka brings out newness I usually cross my fingers for one thing, HATS, and this release gave me some amazing ones, the Dictathor is the one I am wearing in this post, but there is also the incredible fur one as well, I cannot wait to find extra looks for these, and the hair attacments sold for hair base skins look great and properly severe fo complete the look.
The new boots from Baiastice are perfect for this look also, and because they have two options, it was great fun to create two female ideals in the pic. Knee high bow backs are just great, but the extra layer of yum comes from the thigh high upper portion that is more like a guard than extra boot length, very nicely done and very innovative.

You ain’t seen the best of me yet
What a day for newness today has been. The hair from LeLutka was a surprise as we had all been awaiting the release of the FAME shoes and legwarmers, which I have been teased all over the place this past week. I really love the professional style of them, mixed with a more modern and European use of colour and style. I have these shoes in plain black leather in RL, and I have worn them so often for different reasons. Definitely impressive job interview shoes, especially for fashion retail, they say you know what is what, and yet you also know you will be spending a lot of time on your feet, the sturdy heel and supportive shape are integral in the style.
The leg warmers come with , but are an option, as they are separate attachments. The legwarmers are texture change, and you have a solid or striped option in those, they are so pretty structurally that I can see them becoming the go to warmers for months to come. Now as I said the hair was a surprise, but when you see the names you will probably guess that they wanted to keep it as a surprise, and that is so nice. I actually saw Willamina who I am guessing they were named after in the store after the release, and Gorgeous is a no brainer, it has to be after GoGo of JuicyBomb so the colour was an easy choice too.
The use of the same bangs for a few of these styles was awesome, the pulled back twisted pony is marvelous and totally looks like a pulled back version of the other two, and I have discussed that in the past, that often this just enhances the reality of it being your own hair, rather than extreme changes as many of us do lol.
So then after all that to find out that Gala was about to release new skins called Ice Queen, and not only that, but there are lipstick and eyebrow tattoos in blonde and black available, fingers crossed that they will seperately purchaseable as she keeps her tones so precise it would be awesome. I can see this skin being a development of all the begging for the Yum mouth and the recent Autumn face style, a really beautiful face and the most amazing glossy lips, they are incredible, I don’t know how she does them like that, I can only imagine she pours gloss all over a scanner, which would make for a very expensive experiment – so do not do that at home .

Happy Holidays Hunt more stuff
The Happy Holidays Hunt is in full swing.It started the other day, and people have been going to and fro to grab all the goodies while they can. The items are priced at 10L each item but the items are incredible value, and usually have a ticket price around the 400L mark I have heard.
Some of the stores at The Deck even have items in the event, see HERE. I most likely wont be able to get through all of them before the event is over, but I am going to try. The items in todays post are from the hunt. What I have liked about all the items so far, is that you can incorporate them into other looks when you are done with the originals.
You can see I am also wearing the incredible hair attachments from Amacci, these formal do’s are just magnificent.With the Amacci hair bases being available in so many incredible colours, you will be able to coordinate looks that are right for you. The cute little flats I have on are from Tee*fy at the Albero dollar fair, they come with three options, in a great range of colours, and there are also some adorable scarfs there too.
Each store that is part of the Hunt should have a poster out the front with the details of where you start, but you can just randomly move to stores you are familiar with first and so on, some incredible releases as mentioned and lots of fun can be had if you hunt with a group of friends, so far the hunt clues provided have all been top notch, so you wont spend hours pulling your hair out :).

In Protest
I did another backdrop today. I am definitely having fun with them, and I do hope that someone gets some use out of them other than me. But regardless it is fun, and it makes me push myself past my regular white background. Plus I do find it easier to fake depth with the backdrops, having a floor on them so to speak, lets me arrange my cutouts in a way that gives them more of a 3D quality. You can find it and others at Second Life Stock Images . You have to see some of the ones that Whimsy has done too, they are awesome.
The first picture is of a dress I have been waiting for for AGES. Marni of Royal Blue made this Tank about 2 months ago, if not more, and has been making me wait for it for all that time. Well worth the wait though and so cute, the colours are wonderful and you can dress it up, or make it super casual. I went with both ways, for the pics, and the dressed up way also features her latest bow necklace and gloves.
Today Whimsy and I started the day doing some of the 25L Tuesday shopping, it is a more Gorean focused group of stores, and I love them all. They have such an incredible range of goods, not just clothing, the basket of cookies I am holding is one of the goodies I snapped up. The hair I am wearing in this pic is all from Magika, and not only is the hair as cute as already, but Sabina has outdone herself this year with her Christmas Hair, every year she does something fun, and this year my favourite is the mistletoe one. The one in the centre is a new one with the added length worn as a seperate attachment, so you actually get two looks in one, and with her giving you the mirrored as well, that is really four.
The second pic is of the Royal Blue trench coats, these are more of a dressed look than an actual coat, because of it’s total closed style. But with leggings, socks or pants, you can mix up a different look for each day. The detailing on the coat is wonderful and the belt and buttons just give it that little extra class. I am wearing the new Candy Clogs by Shiny Things with these coats, a little lower heel than regular heels, with an open back of clogs, but a maryjane style front. The colours are so pretty, and the button has a mix of colours allowing for a nice flow into mix and match.
The hair is from Amacci and I am loving the Rhoda on the left, and for those of you that can’t do the hair base thing, the new ponytails are similar to prereleased attachment ones, but with hair all over, so you get your cake too.

Flicky Flicky La La
Bring on the Mod Squad, seriously that is how I felt as soon as I layed eyes on this beauty.
The latest Belle dress from Elate is just marvelous darlings, and what better way to show off your sexy legs, than with knee high boots, an expanse of skin and this beautiful retro fashion. The fun thing about the dress is it’s ability to look both casual and fun, or sleek and dressy, it will all depend on the accessories, boots/shoes and how you flick your hair.
Speaking of flicks – see how I lead you right there – the new styles from Exile are scrumptious. The Nyx hair is amazing and Lake I really would love to have in a hat hair combo. Kavar as I have said before, really levels up each and every time he releases.
I could see wearing any of the colours of this dress, to christmas parties and the festive activites bound to occur over the coming weeks, the colours and style are perfect for it.

Riddle me this
I once was watching Donahue – no I am not old old, but I used to love his show when I was a kid – and I remember and episode about sexy people. The guest, who I do not at this time remember at all, claimed that the sexiest people had a gap between their two front teeth. This of course caused Donahue to grin big, of course flashing his own gapped tooth smile.
So it was with great joy that once I found out about the Slink teeth being all seperate teeth, that I was able to do the same gap. I have since seen a few variations along the same lines, and my own pal Newdoll went in that direction too, she is so hot. I also was lucky to see a SLink customer with an overabundance of teeth modding going on, to look just a little more ‘out there’.
I love that so many can take something so simple, and give it their own individual charm. Taking it perhaps even further than the creator intended. The possibilities are endless as well, with them being copy, you could make your very own toothless gummy grin, or add a little bling or perhaps metal to the mix. I am surprised that SLink didn’t hud up for this release, as the vamps must be pining for some pointed tooth love.
The dresses I am wearing today are new items from Riddle. I haven’t seen a Riddle release for some time now, she tends to get busy through the year I think, because the last big release I can think of was last year around this same time. But either way, this wintery goodness is just yum. I really like the sculpted volume of the babydoll style, but the added pleated skirt underneath adds a little swayward charm.
The bow around the empire line reminded me of my hairbow I modified from an old 69 Hairstyle, this bow has been around and worn many many times, but any hairbow would look as good. I am being naughty and you can see just a smidge of bra strap in the pics, it is because the cutieh undies are so cute from Luck Inc, I just keep putting them on and not taking them off, Which is almost true, as with the viewer I can just keep adding lol.
The Moxie shoes by Maitreya Gold I showed yesterday in the patents, today I am showing in the basic leathers, with the same incredible sock options. Lucky me there were enough colours to choose from to go with whatever dress colour choice I made, and there are many more colours available than just these, so if these ones don’t grab you, maybe the rest will.
All layered above the beautiful Natasha Skin by LeLutka, which I am enamored with. A quick mention of bag love, the one I am carrying is very naughty and will not be out yet…but a little birdy told me that Royal Blue is going to be in the second portion of the with love hunt that starts soon, and some GORGEOUS clutch bags will be their hunt item, and so cute, so don’t miss out.

Moxie Ladies
Good news from Cajsa yesterday, she rang me on Skype and her, Whimsy and I nattered for a while. We also got to say hi to her nurse who must have thought we were crazy. I am so glad she is better, and on the road to recovery, she is an amazing woman.
It can be great fun using group poses as one person, with the right tools such as my VR Studio HUD, I am able to lock position and go for it with ease. Then of course there is the work afterwards, that can sometimes be tricky -Â reminds self to do a tutorial on that one day.
Todays poseset is from JE Republic who is actually having a huge sale at the moment, and I picked up their two posesets like this one for a crazy low price. There are also hunt items laying about the store, for 0 and 1L if you are looking for something to do. The poseset worked out wonderfully well for the much anticipated release of Moxie.
These are the latest Maitreya Gold shoes, just released in the last few hours, and they are stunners. Platform wedges with socks, either scrunched or thigh highs, you get both options with the shoes, in either basic leathers or patents. I am showing the patents today and they are LUSH. The colours are just divine, and the yellow is OMG YUM. You can wear them demurely or go all out with the loud colour contrasts, I love that option.
The clothing I am wearing is mainly from Luck Inc, some more of the underwear and corsets, so much fun, I have been traveling all over the place in my undies this week, and with items this glorious, don’t be surprised if you see me still in them. I was feeling some Lamb love hair wise today, so that is all the styles shown. It was fun revisiting older styles, and reminding Whimsy of one of her past favs.
The skin is of course Natasha, that also got released today, the skin by LeLutka is just beautiful and as stated before comes in 4 tones with blonde hair base, cleavage option and 8 make ups total, which includes the base skin. Make sure you try on the demo, because this is such a beautiful and softer than usual skin from LeLutka, it is sure to turn your head.

Those of you that believe that names have meanings, will know that this skins release could not come at a better time of the year.
Natasha means Festive Season,or Christmas child. It is russian in origan and if you call a Natasha Nat not Tash, you might end up with a black eye – that is my experience anyway. This is the new face of LeLutka skins, and will be released this weekend…I for one am so excited about this skin because it seems so much softer and I just love the lips and nose and softness about the whole skin. The body is also fantastic, and Whimsy even exclaimed that I have anklebones, which I don’t know that I didn’t in past skins, I looked at the last and they are there also, but apart from looking at all the skins I own, I am not sure that that isn’t common or not lol.
Natasha comes with only blonde hair base and brows, going towards a more nordic look as Minnu puts it, but the beautful red and brown brows and hair base from Milla release fit perfectly as they are the same tones base. But with Natasha there are only four tones. There are 8 skins in the fatpack, one of which is a base skin no make up, but there are such wonderful choices to wear.
At the moment there are still no hair attachments to go with the new bases, but I found that the Amacci Ponytail attachments in Vanilla Blonde get very close to matching as you can see in the pics. I am also wearing the new Luck Inc corsets with the luck inc undies set I wore the other day, I will do more pics of those in posts to come. The corsets are stunners, and so definitely outerwear options.

You had me at Ahoy
Roughly 15 mins ago the Mila skin by LeLutka was released to the public. The skin is a new range for LeLutka and a new way of packaging as well. The skin is now sold with one hair option, cleavage enhancer. The other hair colour bases, brows and teeth attachment options are add ons you can buy seperately. The idea is that you don’t pay for what you don’t need I guess.
Loving the red hair options, I had to go with that, I love how the red base and brows look, and you can get the combo as an all in one to save on layers tatoo wise. Of coure I am having to use the regular 2.3 viewer to get the full advantages of multiple layers, but if you do use 3rd party viewers that do have tattoo and alpha layers, you can still use at lease one of the options available…just be sure to try on demos and see for yourself what you will need. Also the teeth option is a new to me system, by using the Alpha layer to cut away part of the lips of the skin and allow for the teeth attachment to be shown, however I was able to still see teeth from the actual skin without the attachment, so you have it both ways, but remember, unless you have multiple layers of alpha to use, you wont be able to use this and wear v2 style shoes or other attachments at the same time, so again, demo demo demo.
There are six new tones in the skin line, and they are unique to the add ons, as there is skin tone mixed in so that the effect is flawless. 7 make ups as well as a base which is make up free, and all of them are just lovely…I especially love the eye make ups on these ones.I am showing a lot of the body with the last release of lingerie from Insolence, very sheer and rather exposing this line is, so until now I did not have the moxy to wear it, but with a discreet arm lift and denial about my bottom -Â the way low rise jeans are these days in SL I didn’t think I was showing more than has been seen uncovered lol – there it is, I especially love the options of panties in this set, and the amount of layers options is insane.
I am wearing the Milla hair from Maitreya for the skin pics of the Mila skin, because the reds are so close, and it shows off the hairline, The Lelutka team did say there will be their own hair base hairstyles in the future, so yay on that.
The NEW Hair I am wearing is from Elikatira, the Blind style comes with two bangs options, and the overall style of it is just GORGEOUS, the flicked back and clipped side, with the beautiful loose braid, so perfect and so the level of divine we are used to from Elika.
I am wearing it with the new anchored frocks – I so love that they called them frocks – from Whippet & Buck, you had me at Ahoy with these. Not only are they nautical lovers fashion fun, but the babydoll can turn into a lovely vintage look cossie with one toss of the skirt and into the ocean you can dive, so perfect for those sailing trips with your partner enjoying the ebb and flow of the ocean.
