So yet again Whimsy has done something or other to the land surrounding our studio. This time it is these wonderful garden islands that are fantastic for roadways and park features by Hearts Centre. They have seasonal options, and even falling leaves, very nice indeed.

I am standing around waiting for my lift, in these stunner shoes by Breathe that are at this round of The Chapter Four. They are Must Haves! not just because they are beautiful, but also that they come in combo packs for a steal of a price. The white ones I have one are combo’d with Mint, so you get a lovely option of wear.

I fell instantly in love with this new sweater and shirt combination from Gizza, and even though no Slink body version, it fit like a dream with standard sizing and the use of the body alpha hud.The sweater also comes in combo packs, with a hud that lets you choose the colour of the shirt. Now pay attention to what colour combination you choose, as there is plain shirts, or plaid options only in every second combination. So I got one of each in two different colour packs. I am wearing my Mimikri shorts underneath, but it is fun that it looks like I do not have anything else on, tres risque!

This hommage to the great Miss Fawcett – ok just because I say it is, does not make it so, it could just be a style that MissAllSunday wanted to make, but I want to believe it is a nod to the poster girl of the 70’s – is just fun flicky goodness, and no ozones were damaged with keeping it in place.

The bag on the floor is a gacha item by Dust Bunny, I love this bag, but it is decorative only, maybe we can convince Dust Bunny to start creating some for wearables in the future, because I would be all over that idea.

The furniture is amazing, and this lamp totally creeped me out, in the ‘I am just reading over your shoulder’ kind of way. I kept expecting him to tut at me for turning the pages too fast. The texturing is amazing and talk about lip smackingly good looking, those candy apples are enticing to say the very least…I actually had a ‘seriously how is this virtual’ for a moment, reminding myself not to headbutt my screen wanting to take a bite.

Everything about this scene is very kind of Monster High, and I dig that a lot. This Hair I have on is from two of the new about to be released hair base sets from LeLutka Undivided. I loved mixing the parted base with the pristine bun, and kind of ending up with some kind of strict upbringing look. You are going to want both sets, as you get the hairbases, then you get all these awesome attachments. The parted hair bases come with some great ponytails, and the hairbase that is the full release of the hairbase that comes with the heads, have two buns a tail and tresses, they are all amazing. If you are into roots they have those options as well for the hair bases, you can get the normal or roots in a combo pack as well, so you will have to decide what works best for your needs.

I am wearing this great dress that has a lot of colour change feature options in the hud, that is a release at Collabor88, as it is that time of the month again. I went with the black and white, because I had been dying to show off my two tone oxfords with socks by Slink that came out recently. They come with a physique fit version, and a standard sizing options. Also the sock hud has six colours, so you get to mix things up. The shoes also come in a solids option, but could not resist this black and white combination as being my first.

Adding a little colour to the dress, so that I could make this incredible skin applier by Glam Affair just POP! The detailing is divine, and there are 10 different options to choose from. This is number 8, and you are going to have a fine time choosing yourself. It is made with the Polar base skin, so if you do not have appliers for your other parts, you can run over to Glam Affair and pick those up.

Whimsy and I made some rugs the other day. We find that we never have enough, especially when we want to just add a little something something to a room. They are 1 land impact and scripted that you can choose top or bottom, three options for each in each set. We hope you will like them.

Whimsy has been building up areas for photos for us again, which of course meant I had to check how many prims were left on the sim and then make her pick up half of the things, I do not know how she survived before mesh. I love that she made a proper fence out of the adorable poseprop that RePose did for My Attic. It is so country and has a wonderful charm to it. Perfect prop for showing off these great pieces from both My Attic (closing tonight) and Collabor88 (only one week left).

Autumn is a great picture taking season, both in SL and RL, and for those that love Oranges and Yellows all year anyway, it is truly our bliss.

My Attic closes at the end of today for another round. We do not have a palette with our themes for My Attic, but often is the case that our creators just get their items so in sync with eachother, it is wonderful to combine creators and make perfect looks. Such was the case today, being able to combine the four releases from Mimikri, K-Code, Luxuria and Elysium just perfectly. Then adding a bag from David Heather and I was looking sharp.

The items from Mimikri are the beautiful billowy blouse, this actually comes in a Slink version, but I am wearing the Medium, as the high waisted skirt from K-Code Clips if wearing the more fitted version, so needed some room. Choices are wonderful. The amazing chunky vest from Mimikri is resizable, so that fits really and is a must have. The socks are by Luxuria and each hud has 4 colours in two texture styles. Then the adorable flats from Elysium, all of these are at My Attic, so hurry while they are all only 95L each.

Taking a pic in front of another of the Rowne items from this round of The Arcade, I think that it also closes today, but you will still be able to play at their store I expect, as is often the case after a round.

I needed a hairstyle that would not get in the way of all the parts of the jacket, and this Anise style by Wasabi Pills was just perfect, its bunches tails looks is so cute.

One of my favourite things about the updates to the Slink bodyparts, was actually something that happened in March. They went left and right feet, instead of an all in one set. This makes it a great option for those that roleplay as we have a lot of crazy kind of limbs missing scenarios that can occur there….my favourite reason though is more natural looking pictures. The pose included with this great daybed by Cheeky Pea is so perfect for this to be shown, my left foot is Flat, my right foot is Mid, the flat sits naturally on the daybed cushion and the extension of my mid foot is more believable because of it.

I got to lay around in my great gingham lingerie by Lacuna that is at this round of My Attic. You have system layers and appliers included and My Attic is only on for a few more days so get on it.

We have a friend, and I mean we, not I…because even if you have never met her, she would be your friend with open arms and an open heart with no hesitation. That is the nature of Sanura Snowpaw, my history with her goes back further than meeting her. I was processing some What’s New SL applications and came to the one titled ‘What’s New SL *Dreams* – Sanura Snowpaw‘ I opened it, and expected to find the usual fill in information for the application process.

Not this notecard though, this one explained who she was, and what she was about, it explained that her store was named after just that, the dream of owning one in Second Life, and all that would entail (pun pun punnnnn at the tail). I stood there in her store, and I could completely draw you it right now, without hesitation because it was just that memorable an experience…not the store, but her, that notecard, her Dreams. It was a glasshouse style structure, in the middle of nowhere. She had only a few items at the time, and wanted to get started. I adored her from that day onwards. Her store is no longer called Dreams, it has been Somnia for some years now, but that does not change her passion for it in any way.

She has been a light for so many people, her fluffy tailedness and her downright eagerness to just make people happy is what makes her someone you only want good things for. Unfortunately of late that has not been the case, and not a little thing her and there, but piles of stuff loading up on her. She is a rock, she is a damn Mountain actually for everyone that knows her, and it finally came to the proverbial straw. Her dog is hurting, and with everything else that has gone on with her and her family of late, it came time for her to reach out to her friends for a helping hand/paw.

For some though, buying Lindens is not always a possibility, people Second Life in different ways, just like Sanura wears a tail and paws and ears, and I shop and talk a lot :). They are able to give more that way, and also give anonymously, and it just seems more real to them, that they are helping her real life situation through RL means, makes perfect sense.

So Sanura has set up a GoFundme page, which whether 1 Dollar or more, you can help that adorable looking puppy get the help it needs. Also even if you cannot donate yourself, you can help spread the word, sometimes people are part of volunteer groups that have a few bucks stored in a jar for this exact thing.

Now I understand budgets, and often is the case that these things pop up at just the wrong time in your financial calendar, so I have done some shopping for you. It is not just about giving money, it is about supporting someone that deserves it, someone that has always jumped up and signed up for every other event to help others when she can.

I took this photo days ago, it has been an overactive week. I showed my screen to Whimsy just before finally writing this up, and a resounding shreik of ‘THAT’S MY OUTFIT’ could be heard around the world. Sorry honey, took the pics days ago, you snooze you lose. She does this to me all the time, I want to blog an item, and she wears it for four days making some kind of territorial connection with it.

I can understand that though with this look, I am loving the combination of The Annex and Whippet & Buck. Both items are at this round of My Attic and how well they go together is just wonderful. The top is a joy, and it is standard sizing sizes, but fits me in my Slink body like a dream, even so with the alpha needed on the shoulders it just stops where it needs to…so much winning. The skirt is Whippet & Bucks first release in a very long time, and this skirt also comes with a Slink fitted option. It is a great skirt for the upcoming Fall weather for most of Second Life. I love the length as it makes it possible to show off the recently release Thigh High Boots by Slink. They had boots like this years ago, one of her first mesh items, but until now they only ever came in sizes that were a guesstimate of needs, as it was before Standard Sizing. This release is a Physique fit for the body, and all brand new textures and detailings have been added, they are stunners.

If you owned the previous versions, you can get them redelivered in the store, and they have the update to the Physique fit, but in the textures previously sold. Ashia was wearing these yesterday and they fit the Lara body by Maitreya really well too in her shape, so it is worth checking them to see if they work for you, if you have other bodies.

The skin  I am wearing is also a My Attic item, and from Lumae, so many appliers catering to many head and body and body part options, it is a definite MUST HAVE! item, and so beautiful with the red lips. Make sure you try it.

The beautiful furniture in my picture is a collection of bits and pieces added to the stunning set by Cheeky Pea at this round of The Fantasy Collective. The Burton set is a gorgeous mix of black and white prints, and adding a splash of colour like the orange cushion from Junk just makes it all the more funna.

The theme for My Attic this round is Town & Country, which for us down this end of the world, when inspired by the UK influence, meant trips to the Manor and the higher end of weekend living. City for the weekdays and weekends spent brunching and high tea’ing all over the place…then of course the long walks with the corgi’s or hounds and what not, but it is great that with such a diverse group of creators, from all over the world, how people interpret themes. That is why we always try and have themes that can be spread out so thoroughly, and I love seeing the outcome, even when I have to wait a month to do so, it is exciting.

I went with the Town influence more in this post, but there are little influences of country, with the addition of the fantastic equestrian inspired jewelry by Cae. Love these items, the bracelet especially as it is just the right size, and has such a beautiful sentimental look to it. It makes me think that at some stage this was a gift from someone important. Like a graduation gift, or a memorable birthday, something that shows the giver knows the receiver better than most. I love that, and I hope you see that in it too.

The impressive dress by Nyu could do both Town & Country depending on your motivation. But in this case, I wanted to create a look that said ‘where is she going?’ or ‘where has she been?’ to a gallery, a dinner date, is she attending a function? all of these things are possible in this perfect ensemble. From the shoes by Bushu that have an impressive wedge heel style that allows for long wear, but definitely in keeping with a sophisticated look. to the wonderful umbrella from Tres Blah that is at this round of Collabor88. Their theme is Muted Coven and while there is darker edge to it all, this umbrella is glorious to have. I feel like one of those very fair skinned girls that just have their whole style together, and will use an umbrella/parasol during day or night to protect themselves from sun or rain, it doesn’t matter, it has become as much a part of them as wearing a watch or carrying a purse.

The hair definitely carries over into that too, this is by Lamb, also at C88 and her bangs styles are what made me fall in love with Lamb hair in the first place, and the two styles at this round brought all that rushing back.

This amazing background is part of Rowne’s release for The Arcade, it is amazing and looks just like a city street. Not only did I do a front shot though, but so that the window had some realism, I shot a backshot and used it on the glass, giving it a more authentic realism. If you can get your hands on the Rowne gacha items, definitely worth playing until you get your hands on everything. The bag is also from the release, and adorable and rich leathery goodness.

The skin I am wearing is by Glam Affair, it is also a Gacha item, part of the Shiny Shabby event that is currently running. I am wearing the 7 skin, which has such lovely full red lips and smokey cateye make up. I am using the no brow options as I have my own on. The poses used are by Ma Vie at My Attic, and named after the creator of Glam Affair Aida Ewing (Didi) so cute.

Slink has updated all their body parts. Updating to include a tinting hud, Omega compatibility as well as new skin tones and no nipples options which make me happy, because sometimes you just peek through a little bit on the side of things, so having that as an option is great.

The tinting hud also works on the tattoo and clothes layers, that is pretty neat, not one for generally tinting clothing as it can lose detail, but sometimes, a tiny addition of colour can help with being properly co-ordinated. Collabor88 has a very bewitching theme this round, and I am wearing this incredible two piece outfit by Spirit. The effect of both pieces is wonderful and I can see definitely mixing them with others in the future.

All that fringe gave me a chance to take my new shoes by N-Core for a whirl, with their strappy highness. I went to the Arcade the other day with Ashia, and was lucky enough to get the rare item I wanted by Nomad, this stunning iron daybed, so beautiful. That and about 5 candelabras, but one can never have enough of those in SL.

They work really well with these great pendant lights by The Loft, also at C88. The Rug and table are also part of The Loft’s release at the event. I really dig these great branches in the rusted old milk can by Cheeky Pea at The Fantasy Collective. I need more branches to just throw around the place, always fun

I noticed when going to add my picture today, I have been doing a lot of red/black looks lately. It really is a favourited combination, not just of me, but a lot of the grid, as they are often the best selling colours of many brands. I remember back in the early days of my SL, that you had to release, red, black , leather and lace, and then you got all the customers, because events at clubs were often themed around those colours and textural styles.

I am wearing the Ison Structural corset that now comes in fits for the Slink body and Maitreya body as well as standard sizing, much joy. It is part of this round of MIX and definitely worth running over to Ison to get…mind you when is it ever not the time to run over to Ison to get something.

I paired it up with the sheer knotted tee from Sn@tch that I grabbed the other day, this is an appliers tee, and the great thing about sheer plain items with appliers is that if you use the alpha mask options on the Slink body hud, you can make them non sheer, for different looks. That is why I bought them, because I can use them as solid shirts. In this case though, as my breasts were covered by the corset, I embraced the sheer.

These pants are also by Ison, and while they fit under the corset in this pose, you will get a bit of clipping with a more moving ao. Mind you we do so much standing around in SL that I am fine with that, as the pants were made a lot earlier than the corset was, and they are standard sizing…so depending on the size you wear, you could probably go a size down and not have that at all, me though I wear xxs perfectly, so no where to go from that :).

I pulled out an old favourite pair of shoes. These are the margot ballet flats from Slink. One of the first mesh flat shoes she made I think. They also come with an off and on option for the ballet slipper wrap around straps, so that you can wear them like this as a casual but elegant slip on. They are so pretty, and look wonderful with pants, and the colours of them are so pretty, especially in the lighter colours.

The fantasy collective items are from Cheeky Pea, and these are some beautiful pieces. The large mirror, that has that marvelous aged look to the glass, the lovely hanging lamps with candles ( I edited them larger) and the sumptious chair in the wicker that you just want to snuggle in with a good book. At the moment it is holding my bag from Rowne, that I think is so cute with its hanging open look. I might see if one of my puppies from the latest arcade will fit in that.
