I should be so Lucky
A while back the lovely Teagan Blackthorne put forth a challenge, a literature challenge…as in you needed to dress up like your favourite character from a novel. I wracked my brain and as I am so behind in posting lately it was difficult for me to try and detour away from my to do folder.
I didn’t stop thinking about it though, and yesterday I spent some time with Teagan and asked her straight out, if by literature it had to be ‘great works, not that I am against great works, I really just couldn’t get my head around it. One character kept calling to me though, and I ran it past Teagan and she explained she had never meant for it to be so complicated. That you could even do comic characters if that was your thing.
Well that was my thing growing up, you see I only read comics as a kid, and when sticking their nose in where it doesn’t belong adults would question my mum about it, her response was ‘My Daughter is reading”, I love her so much lol. Then one day I decided it was time to read some books,and the first Novel I ever read by choice was Jackie Collins, Hollywood Wives… I kid you not, I was 14 and read it in like 2 days. After that one I became a Jackie Collins fan big time.
After Hollywood wives I read Chances and then Lucky, and that is who is my character, the great Lucky Santangelo. She ROCKED!. Now I did go on to many other authors after that, I have read thousands of books from all sorts of writers, and genres..but there is just something about Jackie Collins that will always make her one of my favourites.
Ok I am sure you are wanting to get onto the clothes now lol.
One thing about Lucky was that she was a pants woman, and boots. So it was actually this release from Dela that got me thinking about her in the first place. This is the stunning Vivian blouse, it comes in a huge range of colours, and this white one is just wonderful, silky and beautifully crafted, The puffy sleeves and the back part of the shirt – hidden unfortunatly- are all sculpted and give a voluminous effect at the back, its a great way of doing what the template doesn’t allow for naturally.
Lucky Santangelo was a hard working business woman, but she had her own style and this combo is something I could totally see her wearing. The Linda leather pants also from Dela are also made in an assortment of fabulous leather colours, and you get three different leg cuffs with them. Adding the recent release of the Silver and Zebra Jewelry and belt from Dark Mouse I am stylin up a storm.
The jewerly comes in not only Zebra and Silver, even though its GORGEOUS, but also copper/tiger and gold/leopard, they are all as fabulous, and it’s so wonderful to have your jewelry perfectly match your belt.
Now the hair for Lucky look was a no brainer, the Delilah hair from Analog dog is just perfect. Another perfect style would be the Madison, also from Analog Dog but too full near the face for these pics.
Speaking of faces, the Belleza Belle skins were a great choice for this post also, as Lucky has an italian heritage I needed something a bit more tan/olive skinned, and these ones in the tan are just striking. I will go into more with the skin pics at the end.
One humorous part of the Lucky series of books, was the fact that she hated wearing dresses and skirts, but at times was forced into it by her dad. If that was going to happen though, it was going to happen HER way. So again to Dela and this ensemble would totally be in keeping with HER way.This is the Marni crop jacket and Marni skirt, I have tinted the belt slightly in this one as it was a beautiful bronze colour, but didn’t go with my plan. The fabric in these just like the Vivian blouse are a beautiful silk, and the way they sit is just magnificent. I added the Gauze beach tank from Lala Foofoo just for a bit of her own casual thrown in.
The boots are the High Ride’s from Adam n Eve, the semi biker style boot is total Lucky, keeping her edge even though probably having to go to some fancy schmancy event. Seriously I could put together looks for her all day, I am so glad I asked Teagan if any book or written works character was allowed.
Now as the Lucky books all centered around hotels and Las Vegas, there was lots of pool side conversations, this is the Wicked Bikini by VR Foundry, its a high maintenance bikini with a sporty yet sexy look. By highmaintenance I mean you need to be aware that it is sheer 😛 but if you are shy like me you wear both layers for more coverage. This swimsuit always makes me think of James Bond, and things like windsurfing and jetski’s.The skin tones worn in this pic are the tan and the sunkissed, so you can see the two different tones to compare, they both have really beautiful shading and that bum, wow. one of my favourite parts though has to be the heel and back of the ankle, I don’t know why, but it just looks really smooth and detailed. The tummy is nicely shaded and the cleavage is just delish.
Now what makes me very happy, as you know is that the skin comes in both shaved and not shaved versions, meaning that regardless of your inventory you will always have a suitable skin, no matter how low a designer takes their clothing. With these pics I am wearing the Tesa hair from Analog Dog, but it is a freebie at Savoir Hair’s location at Hair Spray , YAY Free hair.
( You can click the pics for bigger versions ) One of the other really nice features to the Belleza Belle skins is the brows, they actually look plucked but in a really good way, I mean if you have dark brows there are chances that a few hairs are going to stray, so these look really neat and not overdone at all. I have no concern about darker brows with skins, even if I am wearing blonde hair in world I don’t care too much as it’s obviously not my natural colour :P.
Another favourite is the mouth, that mouth is very well created, the natural lines to the lips and that minute dip of skin at the base of the top lip gives it such a natural look. Wonderful make up variations are available, some a bit more dramatic than others, but a nice mix over all. Check out the DEMOS as soon as you can, I have only shown a taste of the wonderful range.
I got new poses yesterday thanks to Teagan *shakes fist* lol , they are from a relatively new store called Street Magic, but apparently not new creators, ooooo mystery. They have hair, clothing , jewelry, shoes, and poses in their store, so you should check them out.

Guide Me
No idea why I chose Guide Me as a title, but I guess that’s how I feel about our grid, and it’s people.
Anyway I was grabbing from different folders today for this post, and had a lot of fun doing so, hope you like.
So I was wandering around Popfuzz the other week, YAY for their New Main Store, and hadn’t realised that the Fuzzy sim was right next door. I knew Popfuzz owned it but didn’t realise they were connected, so I was wondering around with some friends I tp’d in and came across a PanJen store.
You remember a few weeks back I did a post on some Military coats of hers, well this is another, which also has fantastic Pinstripe pants.The long trench style Military Coat is warm and woolen in fabric, the prim work is lovely and the double breated buttons and epillettes are fab. You can wear it with or without the long coat bottom, and as I said the pants are just wonderful. They do only come on the pants layer but as they are copy/mod I was able to shorten them and tighten the cuffs to wear with boots.
The Newish Nomad Boots from Dark Eden really fit into this look, with the charcoal like leather and tarnished buckles, the solid heel works for that marching Millitary feel, well it does for me anyway. This outfit makes me pine for the snow I keep hearing my favourite Men whining about each day, Fia says he understands that Snow is a miracle, but he is sick and tired of shoveling the miracle lol.
To accompany the pinstripe look I went with the New hair from Magika called Sneaky, the striped scarf/headband look of this short do is very carefree but stylish all at the same time, it can be casual or a bit dressier dependant on your mood.
Bebae Belina skins are one of the recent releases in the Skins line, and the shine on those lips is fantastic. This is the Cinna Bare-2a and as a bare skin this is just beautiful, that no make up made up look with a rich and glossy mouth is exactly the type of skin you want as your all rounder skin. Torie does such great work on really detailing the face, so that you come out looking fresh and enticing, without having to try too hard.
This next set is from Zenith, awhile ago Cajsa IM’d me and asked me to meet up with a designer friend of hers Miffyhoi, and the funny thing was that I already had a few things from the Zenith store. Miffy was lovely enough to pamper me with lovelies and this set Baggy just called out for some attention.The set even comes with the cute trainers, the baggy pants are sculpted and fit really well, the addition of the belt with pouchbag is extra fun, but that fur collared vest has to be a fav part for me. One thing that stood out though and needs to taking note of, is that the bra is on the undershirt layer, and the tat is on the shirt layer, a bit odd to do it that way, but if you wear your own favourite tats I am sure you will be able to find your own black bra to wear with the combo, or change it up with a cute tank or shirt.
Adding more Dark Eden with the Lilith Set armbands, to sort of offset the strapped belt I was all set to street dance, lol sorry it’s one of my favourite style of movies, I love all those “I want to be a dancer but I don’t get into the school I want to, so I end up street dancing and then get accepted” kinds of movies. This outfit is totally that look lol.
Ashia and I went to Discord Designs last week and I had seen the Carter style before, but only this time around realised that there was in fact a head covering version. You see the Carter style is a braids hawke, how cool right ? but as much as I am totally never worried about being bald, a hawke in this style just didn’t work for me, but with the head covering version, as in hair styled to look as though the hawke braids are pulled up from long hair rather than shaved its all good, you get both versions in the pack :). There are such fabulous braided styles at Discord Designs you really need to try on all the Demos.
This Belina by Bebae skin is the Cinna: Berry-1b, full berry coloured lips with that marvelous gloss, and the tummy on these skins and all the Bebae skin range is toned well for a fit without muscley look.
While taking the pics of Baggy I was in IM with Miffy of Zenith and she passed me a New set called Victoria, perfect timing as all morning I had in my head that today I was going to show at least one of the Newer colours available in the fantastic Dela Ballet Slippers. I loved when these were released in black and crimson, but the newer colours just add so much fun to looks. The sculpted slippers are just beautiful, the shape of the foot covering, and the really well made ribbon ties around the lower leg give them such authenticity.The Victoria dress by Zenith is a lovely short corset style with a short flexi skirt that can be perceived as a tutu. A very burlesque look that you could probably dress up a lot more than I have today. The charming neck choker is a rose inlaid with a large pearl, as is part of the set. The dress comes in other colours, but I was all about embracing the purple, so much so that the light Purple in this Gorgeous Gem hair by Magika was a must. This style is soft and flowing and has these delicate gemstones decorating the hair, such a fab look.
This skin by Bebae is the Belina *Cinna: Cat-2a, again such beautiful glossy lips and just look at the cleavage, perfect for a corset style dress like this one. The shading on the Bebae skins is wonderful and one of the best reasons to check out a Demo for yourself. I am using the Long Awkward Pose poses in the pics today, but the middle picture in this one is an animation from Mamesando, that store has the most awesome animations, they are fun and enchanting and you have probably seen many girls lately suddenly bend over and wriggle their bums, that is a classic Mamesando pose lol. They are all adorable and you can spend eons of time checking them and the incredible avatars they have there, thanks to Newdoll for taking me there one night.
Lastly we have the Temptation set from Stellar, Stellar is the rebranding of Stellar Designs by Lexi Morgan who has recently created a new logo and dropped the designs part of her business name. When you branch out into all sorts of creations like Lexi has sometimes a rebrand can help broaden the reach to a wider audience.The Temptation set is appropriately named, the bra and sheer crop top are definitely enticing, but oo la la on those leather pants, just as well the Bebae skins are low enough on the privates to accomodate – even if not shaved grumble grumble – yes I feel cheated, having been subjected to Torie getting nakey in the middle of a store once while discussing that exact topic and then her releasing a shaved skin to much joy, and now to go back to not I WANT MY INNOCENCE BACK *giggles*. This rich and red lipped skin is the Belina Cinna Smokey 2b, the eyes are fab but again it is all about the mouth, whatever it is that Torie does to get such incredible mouths she needs to never stop.
Now back to the Temptation leather pants, the dipped v front pants come in both pants layer and underpants for a boot fit, and the stitching and the hipster cut are just fantastic, these are definitely a must have.
The Venus boots are also from Stellar as Lexi has branched out into footwear they come to just below the knee for me, but dependant on your height that will vary a bit. They are slouchy and strapped with silver buckle detailing up the height of the boot with matching silver heels.
The last hair shown is again from Magika and is the Mon style, the hat hair is just super, the slouchy beanie is a thick wool style and the two braids are shaped very stylishly for it to fit exteremely well. This style would also look fabulous with the Panjen Military coat shown at the top.

Nyte Nyte
Ok so the poll ended up at 65% saying No they didn’t mind notes on flickr pics, 19% said they do, and 16% said sometimes, so that still leaves me where I was at, because I would be worried that I would note on the yes persons pics lol. Now I feel more frustrated than before *sooky la la’s*.
Tonight when I got on Milli Santos IM’d me about her New Couples poses, Her and Newdoll have opened a store together at Popfuzz. The store is called Ex-Pose and Roodle Noodle – so no more noodle box but a bigger brighter funna shared space with two aussie hellions.
Now being one person, and Mel and Fia not being around, I had to come up with a way of showing them to you on my own. Thank goodness for the VR Professional Posestand and Hud by VR Foundry , or I wouldn’t even have been able to take on the challenge. So with my total security of the locking camera feature I was able to take these pics as one person doing two poses.
Now the thing is that these couples sets are “Supposed” to be all romantical and stuff, but I had another thought entirely. Over Christmas I bought the St Trinians dvd, always a huge fan of the originals I wanted to see what it was like, and it was on sale. I am sure I am not the only one that does this, but watching the movie I got so excited about the clothes and shoes and what not, constantly thinking “ooooo I wanna blog that look”, and so on.
Those girls were crazy and so much fun at the same time, anyway I realised that these New couples sets by Ex-Pose could allow that to happen.
First poseball set is called Cheeky Kiss, but in my St Trinians mode it’s more of a ‘Do you wanna know a secret” pose set lol. On a shopping trip with Newdoll a few weeks back I totally shopped with this future post in mind.
We were actually at Popfuzz – see fate I tell you – and had come across the Nyte n Day satelite store, wanting to go and check out the main as it had been far too long, we tp’d over and I headed straight for a set that I had coveted on Kit months ago. The set is the Libertine set by Nyte n Day .
The Libertine set comes with all the pieces you could need to look all Private Schoolgirly, one of my favourite parts of this set is the System Skirt, nope the skirt isnt system its the bottom of the jacket that is, a totally perfect use of the flared out upper of the skirt layer giving the blazer more body, GENIUS.
Now the tall me on the left is in full Libertine, the shorter gossipy me is wearing the Salopette Fishnet Stockings from Dutch Touch . Not only do you get the stockings but the fab suspendered look is part of them, so very racey indeed.
Both hairstyles are from Kin , yes I ended up going back again with Digit and we shopped like nutters. The very 80’s and totally how I wore mine back when I was in High School style is called Karei, a side pony style that is just totally fun… the style on the right and the larger pic is Shannon , also very 80’s for me with its layered look , but mine is and was longer.
Having shown both in the past, and so not caring that I have lol, because I will again. The two shoe styles are Diva on the top and High Oxfords on the bottom, both from Tesla and both fantastic shoes for this and many other looks.
The second poseball couples set is Gotcha by Ex-Pose, I told you that those girls were crazy, but you can totally see when done with a couple this pose is hot hot hot. When other schools came to compete with St. Trinians girls they were going to have to accept that there was going to be a smack down lol.
That’s what I really like about photography inworld, largely in part to the fabulous pose makers, and the minds of the individuals that purchase them – or in this case are lucky enough to be given them.
It’s totally up to you what you see in a pose or set, something created with a specific theme in mind can be used in such a different way, and that’s what makes us so lucky. So the poor me getting smacked down is wearing the Emme set by Nyte n Day, this is available in a range of different colours, but I was feeling the Maroon colour as I think , dont quote me, but the rivals of St. Trinians had a similar colour in their uniform, and also because I really like the combo of Maroon and grey :P.
Emme is semi high waisted and the short pleated flexi skirt is just lovely. My only pine with this set is that the high waist band portion isn’t on a seperate layer if I wanted to wear that look with other shirts…but still can wear the skirt with longer shirts to compensate.
The rough and tumble me is wearing the shirt layer and skirt from the Libertine, because you wouldn’t want to get your blazer dirty, and any evidence of a brawl can be covered up that way lol.
Last week I think it was, Ashia Tomsen of Freestyle, IM’d me with ‘You like Latex don’t you” or something like that.. a big YES and a LM was passed. She blogged a wonderful group item from SHI and was letting me know there were more goodies to see.
The store is very fetish orientated, so be prepared and respectful of that. Well worth the trip, because not only do they have fabulous latex clothing, but OMG the booooooots, and OMG the prices. These boots are the Black Leather boots, I also have the Latex and the NEW released yesterday OMG Whimsy will die, Ballet Boots YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM , those I will be showing soon also.
The leather work and sculpties on these are marvelous, and the buckles and straps running up the whole length of the boots are divine. I can’t wait for more releases in the future from SHI and I am so greatful to Ashia for letting me know about this store.
High Oxfords from Tesla also come in a Berry that just go perfectly with the Emme Maroon/Grey by Nyte n Day. The hair on the rival me is Shaggy Chic by Dernier Cri this style can withstand a smack down as its tousled to begin with, the hair on the ruffian me is Short Layered Aveda by ETD , got to love the Aveda styles they don’t date at all.
The Oopsy Daisy Star bandaids I have on after being beaten up are really old from House of Paisley thats now Crush Factory , not too sure if they are still available , but handy to have when your school has a rival .
A long time ago Fleur created the Biba make up for the Vivant skin line, now this was a favourite of Kit Maitlands for so long, and is so beautiful. Recently they released the Biba make up in the newer Allure skin line and the outcome is just as tantalising.
I am wearing both the Truffle and Alabaster skin tones in the Biba 1 make up, the rich lips and dark and smokey black eyes are fabulous for not only rebel teens, but all sorts of fantastic looks. But if you were anything like my friends and I back in high school , heavy eyeliner was the norm.
Make sure that if you were a fan of the Biba Vivant you venture into Fleur and check out the Biba Allure it really is gorgeous.

Do you mind if People add notes to your Flickr pics

This has been stressing me for ages, the little notes thing in Flickr just teasing me. I like adding little notes, I enjoy seeing someone mention and specifically point out little details, its fun to add them to a group pic, outlining who is who.
I mean these in the respectful and positive way, if people are rude or just mean thats different. But what are peoples thoughts on it?. Do the poll let us all know 🙂

He made She wore
So ages ago I was shopping with Mel and we came across a store, now the funny thing is that the store we originally went to had erected a huge prim to cover the fact that any other stores were outside of it, that of course made me want to look lol.
Being glad of my noseyness I discovered a store I hadn’t been to before, and had a great time buying lots and lots. The name of the store is SHE and the designer is a HE hence the name of the post.
This first set will have all the Brownzella’s happy, yeah I have decided that if Mel is a Brownzilla I’m a Brownzella :P. This is the Ginger Brown set from SHE. A really fun layered peasant style skirt, with a halter top that has the added charm of a cross front and pendant look.
The swish and movement of the skirt is fab, you can see a little as I caught it mid turn. The brown is deep and rich and the style of skirt allows for either strappy sandals or heels, or boots.
I opted for these lovely beaded slides, another of my random running about days found me in Periquita and these were a must have. They are the Beda Sandals and I really like the way they are designed, I have a pair similar in black in RL and would always turn the wrong way and lose one lol, don’t have to worry about that here.
Feeling the Boho look the jewerly I am wearing is the Oval Rings Earrings and Bangle in bronze from Persona. The lovely long and semi braided style is from Diversity and is called Astrid, this hair is so pretty, delightfully girly and perfect for this kind of look.
Two reasons I bought this set, one of which isn’t in this pic but the next. The first being Latex, this set was incredibly inexpensive as is most of SHE clothing, and you get both the dress look and the catsuit look in the set.
This is the Early Spring Comfort , such a cute name for something so latexy and clubby like. I really like that you can wear the tops on their own, or with the skirt and pants as intended, making it extremely versatile.
The hat/hair I am wearing is another style from Red Queen, it is called Fire and how awesome is that hat. Not only does it have resize scripts but it also allows you to change the colour of the lock in the front from white to other textures.
The heels I am wearing are Slinky heels from Maitreya, now at one stage these were free in the black , not sure if that is still the case but make sure you go check, the other slinky colours are fab, especially the retro colours , I got some in pink recently and yum.
Now the second reason I bought that set is this divine shrug, it’s all sorts of cuddly, I really want it in many more colours but at the time it was only in grey in that set…possibly that has changed since.
Irina Blue is the set I am wearing with the shrug, a lovely plaid high waist pants set. The top is off the shoulder and very feminine, the cute little dangling chain detailing on the texture just adds to the charm.
The shoes are the Athena sandals from the HUB, another great style that you can wear with so many different looks, and come in a great range of colours. The hair I am wearing is from * 0 Style * and is the You hair, this I am thinking was a freebie once upon a time also, but I have had it for so long I can’t remember.
As I have already said, the clothing at SHE is really inexpensive and many of the items I bought in more than one colour, this is one of those because its playful and sexy and the texturing is just fab. This Sexy Sequin dress comes with two skirt options, flexi and micro mini. Giving you both looks or a preference for one over the other, the textured belt just adds a little finish and the stud stars are adorable.
My favourite part has to be the perfect halter gathered look, you really see the strap being pulled through this dress its great. The Salt Water Taffy bangles are from Freshly Baked Goods and are scripted that you can change the colour of each bangle in the set, really handy for colour coordinating. Alicia shoes in Mineral Green ended up being a perfect soft green for this dress, from Adam n Eve they are a great style with a more sturdy heel, great for work or play.
The hair is an older style from Aden called Tiffany , not sure if Aden still has two seperate stores for older and newer styles but both slurls are on the TP page in case.
This dress is just too cool. This is the Tanya dress and its a mix of feathers and latex, I mean what more could you want. The great thing also is that the top of the dress is finished really well allowing it to be worn with dress pants or something a bit wilder, you could have lots of fun with this top.
Squeeling in my ear the other day was Ashia from Freestyle about these wonderful boots from Eva Footwear, they are the Eva Bella Bow boots, rich pantent leather with adorable silk ribbons tied around the top and bowed at the back. Van the creator was kind enough to send me some and they just go so well with this look.
They have script options not just for texturing but for walks and poses and sounds, so much going on with these boots, funny as hell is the fact that one of the walks is a zombie one , for those days when you are being dragged around the grid by friends lol.
Speaking of dragging around the grid, a few weeks back I was dragging Newdoll around and we went to get some hair – I know right you are shocked 😛 – while there the prettiest girl tpd in with awesome attachments, her name is Mochi Milena and it turned out that she was the creator of these fabulous things. I actually got these marvelous Chibi wings of hers on XstreetSL but her main store is in the slurls page and is called Pink Fuel.
The hair was an awesome find today too, I went with Fia to find one store and ended up going with another, the Uncle Web Studio store at the moment is underconstruction so the only place to find this wonderful hair is at LE.LOOK also in my slurls page. The hair is called Doris and it has two different bangs looks in the one pack, I LOVE IT, so much so I went back and bought all the rest too, I cant wait until the main reopens.
This is another style from them and its called Aisha, Fia says its my “couldnt decide what to do with my hair so I did it all” hair. This outfit is another I bought in more than one colour, but I was totally feeling the baby pink today. Its the Vibeke set by SHE and it comes with the skirt and top.The skirt is a leather texture and looks fantastic with the belted shortsleeved turtleneck ribbed top, feeling all sorts of love for this look. As soon as I saw the baby pink I knew what I needed to add to the look, first off with the Maitreya arm warmers, if you don’t have these in as many of the sets as you can carry you need to.
The addition of the Skelly Socks pink from Celestial studios and the Billow boots from Maitreya just wrapped it all up nicely. Its like conservative punk or something mixy like that.
All of the skins today are from Pulse and it is one of their recent releases of the 7Sins 7Virtues collection, fantastic make ups as you can see in the few shown – a mix of sin and virtue – the skin tone I am wearing is the three and there are 7 in total – what a coincidence.
I love the Pulse mouths, they are fabulous and the shading and highlights on the skin are a joy, the skins in the past have had different sheen options these ones actually have different eye corner options, Lorac liked both looks so much she didn’t want to choose one over the other so you get both.
You can spend hours at Pulse trying on all the demos as there are so many different skins to choose from, if you don’t have a lot of time though go and grab as many as you can and then spend some time this weekend going through them, I always make a folder in the demo folder and move ones I like the most to it.
So worth spending the time on something like skins, and the Pulse skins are fabulous.

BYO you ask? well why not when you are wearing a hat with candy spilling out to a formal occasion :).
As soon as I saw the colour of the Dutch Sparkle Gown from SySy Designs I knew what hair I wanted to wear with it, this is the Kyandii hair from Eat Rice it comes with the hat separate and OMG the dolly moves. The fabric of this gown itself sparkles like fashion candy, and makes me feel so glamorous with its beautiful floor length fishtail style.
I really like the iridescent effect on the black sheer collarbone section that attaches in a halter style around the neck.
Having a long bare arms look, I wanted to add a little something in the form of the Leather Gloves by Fleur, these come in three lengths and this is the sky set tingted to be a closer match to the blue of the gown.
The jewelry is from Scarlia Impact and the azure gemstones in both pieces worked a treat. The Spangle Bracelet and Essential Earrings are both available in many stone options, so if the styles are ones you have been looking for then check out the different gemstones available. There is some amazing prim manipulation going on in both pieces, really lovely work.

This is the Flakes in the Snow set and it has many wear options, these two being my favs. The elegance of the long gown look is just wonderful, and with the added accessories and the right hair you can take on any formal occasion.
The shorter option is fun and flirty and I have always dreamt of a gown like this in RL, not this exact colour or fabric, but the ability to just take off a long gown skirt and have an instant shorter version to continue the night dancing etc has always been my want. This set has all that and more.
I really do love that about things we wear here, the ability to use layers and prims in such a way as to evoke a real feel for a moment, and to capture an effect. I think it’s why many want layers, not just because we have strange dressing habits lol.
The illusion of being able to remove a shrug and be left with a shirt that reveals a little hint of bra, all of that is so effective, and people that wear ink should not have to go without bras just because people think its weird to make a bra on any layer other than undershirt. Also I have tats that were only made on shirt layer that means if I was to wear one I need a bikini/bra or tank on jacket SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, or if you have a corset or halter thats low enough but only on the jacket layer and you want to cover up a bit with a shrug you need those on the shirt layer. I know I know we have said all this before, but I went off on a tangent.
End of rant , breeeeeeeeeeeeeeeathes. I don’t even know why I went off on that tangent, SySy does all layers :P.
The shoes to wear with this set were an easy choice, they are the Gothdamn Stilettos by Canimal, such beautiful rich textures on these square toed heels, and the added delight of the bow is lovely especially when peeping through the long version, or with the short.
The hair is truly an honor for me, it is the New Sasy hair from Here Comes Trouble, I have mentioned in the past that Babyboo every few months rocks out some uppydo’s because I had always requested them, she does amazing ones and really puts all she has into them. This one she made especially for New Years and its just beautiful, thank you Boo♥.
The jewlery are two seperate pieces from Uzuri, the Ebony earrings are amazing, their size and texture are superbly executed, so much so that Mel even stopped what he was doing and went ‘Wow great Earrings”. The necklace is the Atmospheric Necklace the stones in the choker style are very similar to the ones in the earrings, and even though not part of the same set, you could wear either and or.
Sayang from SySy Designs is a nice take on a cultural style. I’m not exactly sure that was the intent, but the name and the look made me think of indian tunics, and light summery fabrics. This look can go dressy or casual and teamed up with the fabulous Rodeo boots from Adam n Eve I was set.
These boots aren’t just made for walking, they are made for everything. They come in brown versions as well and they are sensational for those that love cowboy boot looks and don’t want all the traditional stitching and embelishments that usually go with.
As I mentioned yesterday Kin has new hair , this is one of the latest styles Mira, absolutely gorgeous in its cleopatra like lovelyness. I really like the thick cut bangs and just the energy of the style.
This is FlashBack by SySy Designs. This is the kind of ensemble that is a mxing of your fav vintage finds at the op shop. Some fantastic leggings, a strapless crochet knit tube dress and a cropped cardigan, it doesn’t get much better than that.
This is another outfit that could lead you into any occasion, starting out casually you could then take off the cardi and slip off the tights – you wouldn’t believe how many pairs of leggings you find in clubs the next day, and then add some more lippy and off you go on a night of adventure.
Feeling all the vintagey love, I went with the Vintish shoes from Aphrodite Creations, these shoes are just gorgeous and if you don’t own any they are definitely a MUST HAVE, especially the two tone and arty ones – drools over the pink and brown.
Another New style by Kin is the Enid style, Ashia, Newdoll and I all went bonkers over this one and you can see why, its a stunning asymetrical cut.
All of the skins I am wearing today are more of the fabulous Kalista skins from Tuli. As I have already stated these are just lovely, with their soft skin shading and over all body features, the make ups are wide and diverse in range, giving you not only highly fashionable skins, but also RP skins and some great looks for arty photography, DEMO DEMO DEMO.
Also from Tuli today are the poses I used in this shoot, they are the Covergirl poses, and they really are lovely and worked a treat for this shoot.

Festive Romance
New skins usually coincide with new lingerie, today’s post has both old and new based on the wonderful colours of the Gala Christmas skins release, these skins are so vibrant and rich in make up that I and you I am sure will want to wear them all year round.
The first skin by Gala is Silent Night, an incredible blue eyeshadow with a soft rose lipstick. The bodies and faces of the skins are the beautiful Gala skins we are used to, so if you are already a big fan then more make ups will make you very happy indeed. If you haven’t been down to Gala in the last few months and are on the look out for vibrancy in your make ups then its time to DEMO DEMO DEMO.
A stunning accompaniment to the Silent Night Skin is the Water Love Fairy Lingerie set from House of Nyla, the rich blues and subtle hints of ocean green are just dazzling. I love how the use of love hearts in this set make up a wonderful clam shell like appearance on the cups of the strapless bra. Don’t wait for Valentines Day to wear your heart out in the open, this set needs to be seen now.
Speaking of hearts and love, the fantastic Ashia Tomsen of FreeStyle put her heart out there today and it was accepted ♥ Congratulations Ashia he is a blessed Man – this just happened as I was writing this post so I had to share. Ok update , he asked her but still same applies, YAY to both of them. You can perve on them HERE.
When fairy’s are mentioned there is a definite need to show some Studio Sidhe items, as they are created by the fluttery Faery Sola. The Filigree set was another item releases for Christmas and is just marvelous. I have always loved the bracelet/ring look and Faery has totally mastered the beauty and delicate nature of such a beautiful piece.
With matching earrings this is a must have if you are that way inclined, and if you aren’t you need to be :P.
The hair is Alala by Hiccup, I don’t know if I got to show this one yet, I have taken pics of it, that I know for sure, but anyway , this was the first hair I had to have from Hiccup who can resist such a name and style.
This second skin by Gala is the Christmas Lights, now this skin I could wear lots and lots with my green eyes this is a total Yum for me. The lipstick has a wonderful bow mouth with glossy lips which is very vintage looking, and so with that in mind I went with an old Artilleri set.
This is Carmen by Artilleri, one little item I left out of the pic is that this set has tassels attachments for the breasts, you never know when you are going to want to do an impromptu cabaret number. The pieces in this set are just fun and playful as well as bordering on the raunchy. The green and black mix is just so attractive I just had to have it as soon as I saw it, and now I am so glad that I have it to show with this lovely skin.
I got an IM from Ashia the other day, speaking of her again lol, and it was a hair alert…seems that after me screaming at her like a banshee means that now she doesn’t forgets me :P. Kin has new hair releases, and I bounded over to meet up with her, and Newdoll, Aaren and Adam came too, it was a Hair party lol.
Buying up the newness which I will show later, I also just had to have this older style called Kichi, loving the bangs and loving the length and fall of this style, very delish and as all of her hair is only 100L a colour its a steal.
The Nana heels by Enkythings you cant actually see in this pic, but I am wearing them, and then you do see them in the Water Fairy pic so lol here’s a close up. The beautiful soft Army Green Hair Rose is by Essentia, my hair crack and lately I have seen many girls with them in so YAY.
When I think purple I think Popfuzz, which is a much better alternative than who I used to think of – sorry thats a RL issue – Popfuzz is a huge purple fan, so when in need I reach for my Popfuzz folder and away I go.
This Gala skin is called Sugar Plum and its just so sensual and delicate, a soft brush of plum across the mouth and eyes, and because of it being so light and soft you can easily mix it with pinks.
Sticking to my purple plan though I was digging around and then had a thunk, it has been so long since I draped myself in the heavenly Lace Corsets by Popfuzz, the original ones I mean, way back from well over a year ago now. My absolute favourite of them is the Antique Gold but I decided to give the Deep Purple some love today.
These corsets are a must as not only do they look fab as lingerie, but wearing them with other items is divine. Any kind of seperate gown skirt you have benefits from these creating your own formal look. I have worn mine often with a tulle gown skirt and I recently saw Milli Santos in one with an Autumn Tulle skirt and it looked fab – hopes Milli doesn’t mind me outting her style secrets.
The jewelry I am wearing is the Bliensen + MaiTai Fragile Flowers Earrings and Necklace, now I have tinted these as you can tell, and wanted you to see how beautiful they are without the tint in their original form, you can almost feel the soft petals on these against your skin.
The hair is the Delilah style from Analog Dog, the perfect in between style for those that love those long luscious curls that Analog dog does but needs hair back from the face.
Lastly some NEW. Insolence recently released the Jaime line of lingerie and with the Gold Lights skin from Gala it was a simple connection. Gold Eyes and Red lips are a perfect combination for high glamour looks.
The Jaime Lingerie is incredibly textured, the metalic shine is rich and full of lustre, with the fringing at the front of the bra and garter its an overall effect that will have you and your partner oooing and ahhhing. The use of black time and lace on this set is a wonderful contrast with the rich gold, and brings the set together so well.
I am all about the texture on the stockings for this set too, highly opaque with an incredible shine to them that would make fantastic leggins as well for other outfits, and especially would work with boots.
The Caught in Amber Jewerly from Dark Mouse was a blessing, I couldnt have asked for a more perfect set to go with this look. The chain links and metals in this set are all coated with black allowing the gold to come from the amber itself.
The cute as hair is Sugar by Magika , very rocking back to the 80’s with this style, or in my case going to school lol. I couldn’t help myself though I liked the contrast of playful and sexy.

Mel helped me dress today, and he nailed it. I was shopping at the Magika sim a few weeks back and came across the mall there – yeah I didn’t know they had one either hair is as far as I get – but I came across a satelite store for Snatch and was overjoyed to see a set of pants called “no you didnt make bloomers”, regardless of the name I am so glad she did.
You get white and black in the pack, with short and long versions, these are actually the long, and the short aren’t too much shorter, they are bloomers after all.
As soon as I had them on for todays post I knew instantly what boots to wear with them, the *Courtisane*. Allumeuse boots are just divine, but with the open fronted look that is fabulous, it does make wearing them with dress pants not really as effective, so with the bloomers it was kismet. The lace tops to the boots and the lace bottoms to the bloomers work in perfect harmony.
That’s where I got stuck, well sort of. I tpd over to see Mel and was in a lace bra – as you do- and hadn’t given myself a chance to think up top yet, so asking him what he thought I should wear he instantly said a Pirate Shirt. Awesome choice and even though it isn’t exactly one, the Gothique set from First Impressions has this wonderful ruffle fronted shirt with cuffs, and a lace up corset for over the top. Perfectly wrapping the look together.
The striking hair is Isabella, beautiful long curls with a creative turban style band with large feathers adorning it, way too much fun to keep hidden away.
The new Kalista skin by Tuli issmoldering goodness. Very dramatic make ups can be found in the collection; as well as some soft natural looks and a blend of fantasy roleplay styles, you will be hard pressed to not find something to tickle your fancy.
I am showing the three I came across with beautiful rich red lips, as that seemed to be my mood for the day, in three tones of light, medium and tan. Tuli is a girly girl, you can just tell by the way she creates, and the feminine whiles of this skin speak that in volumes. Today my looks are more of the girly girl within, very powerful looks but with a definite all female quality.
This next set is from Shakture, now Shaka Saintlouis on the other hand is a Manly Man that likes making women look beautiful. This set I have had for a billion years and I love it as much today as I did when I got it. The Dress Shirt and High Waisted pants set comes with the shirt and upper part of the pants on the same layer, but you do get it on two for layering options.
Then you also as part of the set get the wonderful lace lingerie, how sexy are those panties, yum. It feels so lovely to have beautiful undergarments on underneath something so pretty, it makes you feel really well put together for the day or night.
Adding a bit more red in the form of the Classic Cocktail ring from Genesis, this ring has different metals and stones options, so its very versatile when colour coordinating. Another lovely and so soft hairstyle from House of Heart is the Magic style, Mel says it looks like its just been washed and really soft, and you have to love when your guy takes notice of such things ♥.
The shoes are Courtisane Prelude, a lovely strappy sandal with a light wood sole and heel, now usually I would wear all black in this sort of look, but I was thinking in the ideal of day time wear rather than night, the idea that even though I am super dressy I could in fact add more to move into that night out on the town look.
What I really like about the Courtisane shoes, other than the obvious, is that they go all out to make sure that every detail of the shoe inside and out is beautifully styled and textured.
Speaking of both, the Siobhan dress from Shai is remarkable. For a start the irish name won me over in a flash, and the delight at this houndstooth style of vintagey glamour is spot on.
System skirt love all the way, the fabric is rich and beautifully worked, the sheer upper portion looking like an insert modesty layer is so beautiful, and definitely ads charm to the overall style. It isn’t seperate layers and I do kind of wish it was, not to wear them seperately but just to feel I am lol.
Next time you have a very important social event this is the kind of style you should try, it is classic and so incredibly stylish. The Gigi hair from House of Heart could have been made for this dress, it wasn’t that I know of but the veil part of the hair and the overall style just merged into this look of style and sophistication.
The Kalista skins from Tuli in all the tones and the three different make ups, would easily swap around with eachother, as all three looks would benefit from any of the three. Demo Demo Demo because you will really need to fall in love with this skin on your own shape to see its potential for you.
The Medallion set earrings and bracelet are from Essentia, and the cascading earrings are perfect alongside this updo look. The shoes are the Marquise Sandal from Courtisane also, the leather in these is shiny and gorgeous, and the ankle parts to the shoe are a seperate attachment, open toed and perfect for many looks, I can’t wait to see what the creative team of Enktan Gully and Leezu Baxter have in store for the future of Courtisane releases.

Happy Aussie New Year from Australia, to those of you that are down this end of the world and neighbouring countries a big hug and a bright New Year, for those of you not down here HURRY UP! It’s FABULOUS so far ♥.
