I was having such a day the other day, and a notice announcing Comfort dropped down on my screen and I smiled and was all happy again. What also makes me happy is such incredible skins and make ups for only 50L to help raise funds for Japan.

Elikatira has released three new styles this week, and the Comfort style is so much of an everything and anything style, I just adore it. I am wearing it with a dress I picked up a while ago at NCore, usually known for its shoes, more than clothing, this dress is just lovely for a night out dancing. The red in the dress is perfectly suited to the stunning skin by Miamai for Another Fundraiser II. The skins are so imaginative and fun, I hope you all take the time to come over and expand your inventory, not only for a great cause, but imagine how awesome the more lavish ones will be months from now for an event, or photoshoot.

I watched Phillip Rosedale/Linden doing a seminar at Singularity University in 2009 earlier today, it was so interesting listening to what he has to say about LL and Second Life, especially with all the changes since, and how these weren’t just thought up last minute, they are projects that were in the works for some time. I recommend watching it if you have a spare hour.

A Geisha has to have some down time right? well with this beautiful skin from Idiosyncrasy the downtime is soft and delicate and such beautiful red lips. This is one of the skins she has created for Another Fundraiser II and will be available until the 3rd of April as exclusives to the fair. The frilly shirt I am wearing is so neat, its a very artsy kind of smock, and I thought with its billowyness that again, perfect for putting on and taking off without messing with ones make up.

Doing a lot of back and forth this week. Another Fundraiser II is just around the corner, and already I want everything I have seen. I can’t wait until everyone sees what people have done, the ideas have been amazing.

A few weeks ago I mentioned Too One Lounge, an event at the Slow sim, but alas it is over now…but the items I got are so gorgeous I still wanted to share, especially this one as it is so feminine and beautiful. Boho is a look that is mentioned a lot with this kind of outfit, and it has definitely got that swishy bohemian carefree and spontaneous feel about it. The dress’s length is super short for this kind of look, but it is a must for traipsing around the markets and going down to a beachside cafe for lunch.

The hairstyle is equally feminine and beautiful, this is the style of hair that makes you want to pick daisies and walk barefoot in the wet sand, it has that lovely dried in the sun look to the waves that I adore so much. I am also wearing some new jewelry that was a must grab, due to it being on special on the marketplace at the time, not sure if it still is, but check anyway.

Tuli’s Jade skin is the one I am wearing, and if you look close enough to the sides of the nose, you can see just the hint of being sunkissed. The way the tone is done, especially the tan, it truly does look as though I spent my day on the edge of some glorious beach somewhere. For me and my skin, the next step would be freckles, but for now the beautiful glow is enough to make you want to change shoes, maybe add a necklace or two and go out dancing until dawn, because nature had a hand in your look.

I am addicted to Veronica Mars, I cannot help it, so far I have watched every episode of season one and two, and am up to the last few on season three, I will be very upset when it is over, but not nearly upset as I was when I finished all six of Dawsons Creek a few weeks ago. Poor Mel IMd me just as I was on the last five minutes of the last episode and I rang him and all I could do was sob and gasp and hyperventilate in his ear as it ended…then I was a mess for about an hour or so longer.

Seriously though, I do not know how people can watch such shows week to week, I mean I know I do with the current ones, but I when I watch something back to back and nearly break a finger trying to get to the next episode, I just can’t understand how people survive lol. My friends can always tell what show I am on too, as I constantly hum or sing the theme, thankfully Veronica Mars is much better theme wise than Dawsons Creek was, and for a few days on and off I was watching Everyone Hates Chris, so kept doing that ‘ Everyone haaaates Chrissss” randomly.

One thing about VM is that it is too casual, at least with Gossip Girl and 90210 – yes I am huge fans of both – there is some heavy duty fashion going on, the best thing about VM to date is the change in her own hair styles, she has lovely hair. So I decided that all those tshirts and jeans shots were getting to me, so I had to glam it up a tad.

This dress isn’t new new, but it is stunning, and named after Blazin the lady organising the Project Fur Japan Campaign. The sculpts on this dress are just amazing, even going so far as to bake shadows on the sculpts below as though cast from above, that is some detailing that makes LeLutka a stand out brand. The adorable bow necklace is from Royal Blue, and I tinted my boots to match as close as I could.

The new Sia skin is one we teased you with during skin fair from League, it has two packs available, A & B in all the usual tones, with so many options. Freckles, cleavage, and hairbases, all mixed and available no matter what way is your fav. Beautiful smokey make ups, as well as rich colours…you will definitely find some firm favourites and so far everyone I have seen it on looks gorgeous.

Don’t forget that Pacific Crisis Fundraiser is still on and going strong, a whopping 4 million lindens raised so far , that is incredible. Another Fundraiser II is about to start as well at the end of the week, if you have ever wanted to dable with tat layers or skins, this is your chance, remember to think outside the box, it doesn’t only have to be make up, it can be patterns on the body, it can be scales, different colour skins, whatever strikes your fancy. Have fun with it.

Think of the animals. It is all that people like Blazin Aubret and Tristan Careless have been doing. SInce the horrifying disasters that have been striking Japan started, possibly thousands of domestic and wild animals have suddenly found themselves out of their normal element. Some have been injured, many are just probably hiding in their own homes terrified, with their owners either injured or worse, or evacuated and unable to get back to collect them. This is so sad, and I know from personal experience pets just don’t take off to fend for themselves when their owners are missing, they pine, they wait and if injured they will suffer.

People can communicate their needs, animals can’t, so the best we can do is listen to our hearts and act on it.

If you are a content creator, please contact Blazin Aubret or Tristan Careless for info on how to be a part of this upcoming event. They need all the help and support they can get. Below is the notecard being circulated, there is also a video to watch so you can understand the dire needs of the animals, I suggest caution on watching that if you are anything like me.

In my opinion this would also be an incredible event for all of those Breedable people to get behind, spread the word, if you breed in SL you are an animal lover, do what you can to make a difference in RL too.

In this horrible Japan tragedy, thousands upon thousands of deaths, while every human life that has suffered, passed, or even hurt, I myself cannot also stop thinking about the thousands of animals in Japan that have also lost their lives. They have been left in homes while their owners fled for safety, they have been taken also, along the ravaged waves of the tsunami, never to meet up with their owners again, lost, cold, scared, and hungry.

Please understand that the human lives means just as much to me as the animals. I, as I said, am a HUGE animal advocate, and I feel that not as much effort is going towards the animals as they are towards the people. To me, they are worth just as much.

I, along with many other wonderful people who are involved are having a large fundraiser for the animals called “Project FUR Japan”

With the gracious donation of a sim by LeLutka, we are ready to get this started but we need YOU to get involved. This is how it will work:

Once we get enough people involved, we will open the sim for you to set up your creations. On the bottom of this notecard is a form I need you to fill out and return to either I, Blazin Aubret, or Tristan Careless.

Once we receive your name, you will recieve a folder with all the necessary information. All will be given more information and a script to put inside your creation to contribute 100% of the proceeds you make. The script is set to send the money to an alternate avatar so all money can be accounted for. The sim will be open for 2-3 weeks to collect donations for the cause. Documents will be sent and blogged with proof of the contributions made and that all monies were sent to the charity. The sim will be open for 2-3 weeks to collect donations for the cause.

I have investigated all charitys and have decided on a group called  Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support (JEARS). This group is comprised of three private No-Kill animal welfare organizations in Japan; HEART-Tokushima, Animal Friends Niigata and Japan Cat Network. No animal rescued by JEARS will be surrendered to Animal Control (where they would be at risk for euthanasia after three days) under any circumstance. They rescue, reunite and rehome lost and abandoned animals

I am asking, all of you, every single one of you, and everyone you know, to help these animals. We cannot be successful without you! We need bloggers too! So if any of you blog or know bloggers please contact us.

Pants like these are so fabulous, in a vintagey goodness kind of way.

La Viere released a boatload of rich colours that are a must have staple item for spring and well into summer. They are fun for any type of upper look, and even some oversized sweaters or cardigans would look fabulous, all snuggly and stuff.

I could eat the LeLutka accessories department, no really! it is full of such incredible bags, hats and other necesseties. The love junky bag has always been a fast favourite, but this adorable pouchette style bag in aussie colours is fabu. The other day I was playing around with the new basic option in the 2.6 viewer, and because it completely changed my av by choice of course, I did a quick change using linked folders on my return to regular, and it had the Ife skin inside…I have kept it on since.

So many events still going on, one of which is the March Chic Limited event, that this hair is part of, the SHAG store has such beautiful styles, and I am excited that they have signed up for Hair Fair 2011 again this year, last year their booth was such a hit. Fashion For Life has been going strong for nearly a week already, wow time flies. The event covers 9 full sims and the builds are incredible. One of my favourites reminds me of old hollywood, and it is often that I wonder why they don’t sell all these incredible builds for more fundraising money, after the event.

The map at the bottom gives you a good idea of how the sims are layed out, I suggest a packed lunch and an alarm clock in case you have to go pick up kids or whatever in RL, because you could easily lose yourself amongst the beauty. Cajsa has done some great pics for Second Life Stock Images group in case you want to use some for blog posts etc.

Todays post is a mix of Pacific Crisis Fundraiser as well as Fashion for Life. The Clothing pieces I am wearing are all Fashion for Life pieces, the beautiful system skirt and frilly blouse ensemble are from Adam n Eve, and I do so love me a system skirt made with such attention to detail, and the frilly blouse is all win. The long boho dress on the right is from Nicky Ree and is part of the hunt at Fashion For Life and so beautiful, definitely perfect for the hair created by Exile for the PCF, the beautiful Sakura hair has texture change hair cherry blossoms, hence the name Sakura, it also has a no flower option.

The silvery and grey party frocks from Baiastice and Vanitas Vestures, are fun and lively, great for going out for nights dancing and dating. The stunning skin I am wearing is from Pink Fuel and is also a PCF item, that is out as a preview of the release to come.

I am again using all the poses created as a collab for PCF, they are really well done, and a bargain for sure.

In times of trouble and need in the world, Second Life residents as usual come through in a pinch. Since the news came down last week, hundreds of items have been placed at the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser location that the generous Glam Affair people have donated to the cause.

Keira Seerose, Sanura Snowpaw and many other incredible team members have come together to get this ready for its opening today. Whimsy and I also helped out a little, I was able to help a few creators find and set up at the location when others weren’t online, which was nice, and Whimsy dashed to and fro a few times also. We also did a collab piece for the event, an Arbor set that we worked really hard on getting ready in time.

A majority of the items I am wearing in this post are from there, including the beautiful new skin Sakura by Glam Affair, such an incredibly beautiful Asian inspired skin. The hair – in reds only – is from Magika and is also set up at the location. I love Magikas reds so it was win win for me.

The wheat and aqua coloured tops I am wearing are from DCNY, have you noticed they have had one hell of a make over lately? if not, then get your head out of whatever else has got your attention and go look, the vendor ads are gorgeous and it is all now being managed and properly taken care of by Anessa Stine.

The items available at this fundraiser are amazing, the support and the pulling together of so many incredible brands has been wonderful. Already they have raised a few hundred thousand lindens before even opening, based on purchases and donations made by the generous designers and helpers setting up the event.

Ok so first off letting you know that Hair Fair applications opened today, we already have over 70 stores involved, so exciting. I also wanted to show you all a blog post done by Gidge Uriza for a RL blog that has actually been syndicated, the post is incredibly written, and shows her incredible talent for taking you with her through a story. Congratulations Gidge, blog post HERE.

Mon Tissu had a release last week and only now have I had the chance to show the finery. The jean jacket I am wearing comes in a great choice of denims, and there are two sizes in the pack so fitting was blissful. Worn over a striped halter that you saw last week in red from LaViere and with some older but so hot jeans from Nyte n Day. The belt is also a new Mon Tissu item and the leather work is superb.

Moving over one more me to another mix and match with the same bottoms, and then adding the delicate Crepe blouse from LaViere. This style top is so popular right now, but is definitely a throw back to the same style of the 70’s. Some chunky beaded jewelry and bangles and the fabulous new hair from Exile and I am systems go.

Another very 70’s look is the Maxi dress, one of the Mon Tissu releases, this has been created using flexy and sculpted floor length prims, then adding an alpha layer for the legs. The alpha layer allows your legs to not show through the prims when you walk or move, so it can take getting used to, more like your hover walking or hobble walking Morticia Addams style. I definitely prefer the effect than glitch panted legs jutting out.

The next dress is a LaViere Tulip Dress, you get two options with this dress, you get the skirt I am wearing with the light layer, or all the one colour, so I am loving the chance to also wear the French Pouf again by Mon Tissu that comes in the same delightful cream of the contrasting colour on the adorable dress.

These two stores definitely have pallettes that compliment eachother which is always a big plus.
