Hair Fair 2026 – About Love & Pr!tty – Love for Six Kennedy

Ok so in the last few years, whenever I see really big stomper shoes I always point out to Lexi Morgan/Cortes that these remind me of her…but it is a duo memory to be honest, and something that needs mentioning now especially. The first of the ‘Little Adorable Blondes’ – that is what those two were and one still is ♥ – that I met wearing such footwear was actually Six Kennedy, and Six Kennedy is one of the first Founders of Hair Fair, and I have a lot to be grateful to her for. I met her by shopping in her store Gurl 6 the Pinkest Place on Earth. I had IMd her to ask her about a top she was wearing in a picture of her hair, and she not only provided me with the information, she actually sent me the top. I was newish at the time, and this level of kindness was amazing. A few months later, I discovered the blog “Appearance Mode’ and realised that Six Kennedy was part of that project, so contacted her, and before I had even finished typing my many many words – I am sure – she had already contacted the blog partner and I was added as a Blogger – Team blogs were very much the normal back in 2006. Then early the next year after blogging like a person possessed multiple times a day – much like today – I had heard of her involvement in Hair Fair and had the idea for Bandana Day…and again before my IM had a chance to cool, she had me in a voice call with all the people involved and I was now part of the team, because if I wanted it to happen, I had to do it. So when I saw these shoes by Breathe, I knew that not only did I get to do my normal nod to Lexi, I got to have a heartfelt memory share of Six Kennedy who did so much for Second Life in her time here, that still carries on today…she even founded Fashion Emergency. I am so grateful to her, because she pretty much pulled me into the fold of multiple projects that I got to grow from. I really think that if Six was still in Second Life, she would be so proud of everyone that participates, that visits Hair Fair and just the whole Hair and Hair related community, she was a champion.

She would have loved About Love, their booth at Hair Fair is so cute, it reminds me of Barbie Perfume Maker, which I had as a kid, and as soon as I saw their booth, I wanted to play with it. I got all their hair, this is Romance the exclusive, and I knew instantly what I was going to wear with it, which also has the name Romance in it, which I did not realise until I put it on – there is that much missed Bloggers fate again. The hair is a beautiful waves style that has a slight side parting with options of behind shoulders as shown in the full length, left and right and in front of the shoulders. I do love the behind as we know, but I will keep saying – as we also know. Their styles are very film noir 1920s vibe, which I love, it was the inspiration as a time period for the Hair Fair build this year.

There is a matching skirt to this beautiful corset top by Fashionably Dead, but I wanted something more playful and when I realised that these thermal shorts fit under the hanging straps perfectly I got highly amused by it all. The concept was that upper me, was all romance and beauty and lower me was comfort, kind of the idea of being a gamer girl or webcam girl that is all seductive to the camera but as comfy as needed below the desk which amused me.

Then wanting to keep on that sort of gamer girl track, the fuzzy bear headband by Pr!tty was just perfect to finish off that look. So while the hair is very stylish and elegant, it can be playful which is so versatile. Then finishing off the look with the shoes that made me all teary and happy at the same time remembering Six, they are by Breathe and there is a lace covered option as well. I wanted to keep up with my comfy mode though.

Hair Fair is open until June 14th and ALL purchases made at the event donate to Wigs for Kids, Exclusives and previous releases. Not all stores have previous releases out, but so many do, so it gives you a real taste of what the stores have created over time, and some things you may have missed that donate with each purchase, a great way to get it all in at once.
