Blog – Work It, Like Wow
Footwear Expo starts at 10am HERE
Incredibly small prims are a challenge for anyone that builds, whether it be for clothing, Jewelry or accessories. It takes an ability to manipulate prims against all boundaries, there are of course nano prims now, and sculpties make that task easier…there are older creators who mastered it with regular prims though, and often it is just awe inspiring.
Whether old school or new skills, the task is hard, but the outcome can be incredibly satisfying. One creator doing amazing things with small prims and in this case shoes, is 2408 Alekseev and her store 24 Shoo Shoes. I know 24 from other endeavors and she has always been such an incredibly lovely person, and really cares about her business…seeing this progression over the past year into this incredible work is a delight.
Definitely catwalk inspired shoes, these are why we adore Second Life most I would say, the ability to wear spine snapping shoes with no aches or pains, other than making sure our skin matches, and believe me 24 has made that incredibly painless too. She has included two skin huds in her shoes, which genuis-ly (ok possible made up word) are on an alpha layer that you can move your camera to make sure your legs are behind and get the perfect shade, its fabulous. Like I said incredibly detailed and just beautiful, you will have to see them for yourself.
The clothing I chose to feature the shoes with, are the sexy and seductive Feather Dress by LeLutka, such beautiful details to this dress, I am though missing a part of it which covers the breasts, but I liked it without and with Jewelry that I chose to let it go. Definitely runway worthy, this dress lets you dress it up even more with things such as the Dramatic lashes from PanJen, and some lovely Jewelry pieces from Sigma and Hair Rose from Essentia finished the look.
Then we have a much older dress from Tuli, this dress comes with a long skirt gown option that I adore, but of course because we were featuring the shoes I went with the shorter option, still such a classic the Gwen gown is, it makes me want to beg Tuli to make more and more clothing, when she is able to create such perfect pieces as these.
Perfect accessories from Glow Studios in the KOS Set, it even actually comes with a handbag, but it was enough without, and a wonderful soft gold, that just enhanced the richness of the whole look. The vixen skins by Gala were an easy choice for that severe yet gorgeous look I wanted to create, BAM! I am a serious catwalk model BAM BAM! – laughs as I tip off the stage. But seriously it really has that look for runway, especially with such incredible make ups, my obvious choice for the gold was Majesty make up.
Just remember whatever shoes you buy at the fair – and don’t forget part of most sales are going to charity, in some cases all -Â make sure you WORK IT BABY!.
