Second Life – Features – Inventory Search Functions

Second Life - Features - Inventory Search Functions - Sasy Scarborough

I want to start doing more videos, tutorials that feature as much as I can about the tools provided in the Second Life viewers to make our lives easier. Some you will already be aware of, some may be new to you, some you may not have thought of using together with others. I have done a few other videos in the past, but I want to try and do more. I hope you get something out of them. It is often hard to just go straight into them, I tend to either talk too fast and too much, or I stumble over myself. Hopefully with more practice they will get better. This specific one is about something that has come up a few times in random conversations, that I also replied to in a canny post when someone was requesting these kinds of features not realising they already exist, and I brought it up at the most recent content creators weekly meeting with the Lindens early yesterday. You should give that a watch, as they are now live recording them, and they are very helpful if you are unable to attend yourself.

If you have any questions about my videos please feel free to comment in either the video posting on youtube, or in this post here.

I did mention that the items I was wearing, were new clothing items by Lamb, they are not only a fantastic fit for bodies, and the texture work is fantastic, but the shorts are Modify, and including a decal option, meant that it was an invitation to personalise them yourself. This is such a fun idea, as you can do things with friends, a group or club you may be part of that has an insignia, or just be silly like myself, and create something that just made me chuckle when I thought of it. I love the versatility of not just the shorts, but the top style itself, I have been wearing it with other items of clothing, such as dress pants and skirts, and it is just fabulous. I look so forward to more clothing from Lamb in future, just as long as she does not stop creating hair, I am greedy, I want her to do both, some collections of styles that work with clothing will be amazing, as inbuilt hair has been done in the past a few times, but not as often by actual hair creators themselves. I am excited. I am also overjoyed at the Modify permissions, because sometimes you just need to rename something, or link things together to free up some attachment points, or you may just want to throw in a script so that nothing is going to remove that item. I do hope that Lamb considers making all clothing items mod, whether decals or not, as it just makes for ease of use.
