Skin Fair 2024 – Fallen GA\EG
GA\EG have both a Male and Female head at Skin Fair 2024. I am showing Inaya that works with both SL UV and Evox so you are covered. This came in handy for me, as the Skin that I also featured did the same, giving me the ability to use some other makeup enhancements that I had from Izzie’s and AlaskMetro to round out the look.
Fallen Gods created this amazing skin called Opal, it comes in a full skin layer with the additional tattoo/Aux layers for alternative wear. It also comes with PG versions, which made me super pleased, because this very oceanic themed lingerie set was a little exposing, so that just felt great to be able to not be concerned especially as I went on location for the shoot, and found this stunning underwater world, with this display case coffin that was just so serene and made me have all the feelings. It was a really special place, so I hope you can go and have a look around, they even have Mermaid chat events on Saturdays in a pavilion underwater, which is just the coolest thing. Now being an Australian I am all about the Opals, but it is March and that also means fishy time, so I mixed land and sea for the post. I mean if someone handed you an Opal for the first time ever and told you it was some kind of ocean gemstone, you would definitely believe them, I know I would.The head, so much to say about the head. First of all the hud is robust, that is about the best word I can come up with for it, because this thing is doing all the heavy lifting. A full page of features for everything, but my favourite things are the broom icon so you can sweep your layers clear – made me laugh – you can also just toggle hide and show if you want to keep them for next time. The sliders for glow and opacity for most things, the presets were awesome too, but the ability to then tint etc, which I did with this look. One of my favourite things though was the 3D Lashes option, you get regular lashes in various styles/lengths, but then you also get mesh lashes, so that there is no issue with alpha clipping, and you can use both which I did, to just give a better look especially for photos. There is also an animation HUD that has options for upper and lower of the face, looped and static (how I kept my eyes closed) and more. The head comes with skins, lipsticks, tattoos, gestures, shapes, back up HUD and as mentioned it has different UV options. So many things to try so give it a twirl around Skin Fair and see how you like it.

Gather & Nest – A New Blog Collaboration
I was recently privileged to be asked to join Gather & Nest as a writer. I cannot lie, I begged to be included! Gather & Nest is the brainchild of Gorgeous Aurelia (of Juicybomb fame), with smatterings of ideas from her friends who share her interests. It will cover a range of topics related to Linden Homes, Linden Land, décor, and setting up a home for your Second Life. There will be interviews – of which I just posted one here recently. SL16B – Gifts – Linden Homes – Exhibits
If I timed this right this post should hit the stands just as Second Lifes Sweet 16th is open to the public. It opens at 10am SLT on the 20th of June 2019 and it is going to be an exciting event. The Hop & Shop as mentioned yesterday has gifts in every booth, and there are a hundred stores as part of this wonderful event. All booths also have discounted items, starting at 20% and going up as high as 75%.
The clothing and accessories worn in today’s post are all GIFTS at the event. Even my Slink Hourglass Bundle is discounted during the festivities as are the Physique Original Body Bundle and the Physique Male Bundle, the shoes I have on are the Slink gift for women at the event.
I have included pictures of all the booths, and you can see how amazing this event will be and how much time you will truly need to cover it all.
Also part of the SL16B celebrations is the reveal of the new Linden Homes theme. The theme is very different than the builds so far, and for those wanting to not just live somewhere but actually cohabitate these will be so much fun. I am already looking forward to immersing myself in these themes many opportunities for community development and role-playing scenarios. I can also see a full region of pink in the future because nothing will be more fun than getting all the neighbours on board with that idea.
I ran into Patch Linden while he was going over the showcase area, and he was very pleased with the plans for these and other homes in the future. He also has a Meet & Greet planned for this coming Monday – Calendar of Events – so that he can answer questions about all things Linden Homes related. As this is just a rough layout keep in mind that the Moles are hard at work creating the final layouts of these new areas, and I cannot wait to see them finished. I actually saw the new Taylor Swift video a few hours after running into Patch and laughed hysterically at how just on point the Lindens are.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dkk9gvTmCXY&w=560&h=315]The Sweet 16 inspired theme of the overall event is throughout the many regions dedicated to it, and if you explore the exhibits done by many Second Life Residents it is fun to see their own take on this Retro vibe. Old Movie Theatres, Beach Party scenes and some very big statues, with bubbles and puppies and even a huge hydrant and cuffs dedicated to first responders. Take the time to visit all aspects of this great time of the year.
One of my favourite sections was the time capsule like build, with all the years’ history of Second Life gathered together. I won’t say I was not disappointed to not see ‘and along came Sasy Scarborough’ in the 2006 section but I did squeal with delight at Hair Fair being mentioned as that was also its very first year.
Another exciting thing that Patch told me was that the four new avatar looks at the Welcome area on the Pizazz region are for limited SL16B time only, so make sure you grab them as a memento of the visit.
Then when you zoom over to the Hop & Shop you can start collecting all the gifts and shop like a crazy person like I did, and look as fabulous as I feel right now.

Second Life – Sweet Sixteen – Shopping Event and More

Sixteen years and counting. With still so many familiar faces sharing the experience, Second Life is an incredible creation. While it has its ups and downs nothing will ever replace the absolute joy this virtual world has given to millions over the years.
On any given day you will find people sharing this grid with friends and family, meeting new people and discovering new things. I have never experienced anything as complex and as equally charming as Second Life and its people.
I myself, and hundreds of people I know and have known throughout the years often came into Second Life as just something to do, and they stayed acquiring knowledge and skills they could never have imagined. While just the shopping and existing curve are quite steep in SL, it is the creative side of things that just unlocks the doors into so many opportunities to advance. I for one – as novice as I am on most fronts – am just so very grateful to this platform for giving to me and to others such a valuable gift.
The Birthday Celebrations start on the 20th of June at 10am, and you will not want to miss out. Not only are there displays and experiences throughout the regions, but there is also a sneak peek of the newer Linden Homes soon to be launched. A great sounding Music Faire and some chances to meet some Lindens with some Town Hall meetings scheduled.
One of the large events is the Hop & Shop event that comprises of 100 stores with amazing discounts on all items included in their booth, and the booths are huge. The discounts start at 20% and I even saw a 75% sign. On top of the discounts, every store also has a gift item/s out for the taking and the few that showed the gifts, let me just say you will be needing to ice your mouse clicking finger after repetitive let me into the regions clicking. Do not despair though, they have made sure that there are plenty of regions allocated to the event, as well as camming regions on the ends. It is very well spaced out and easy to navigate, however, pack yourself a lunch and some snacks, and keep hydrated, you will be in for the long haul.
There are many familiar stores, and some even new to me, which is unusual, so I am very excited overall for this event, the layout is like a super mall, and it really did make me miss malls of the past, going to one region and having multiple stores to explore, even if then teleporting to their main.
I suggest derending all the people or setting to friends only which you can do in your menus. Turn down your draw distance as low as needed, but maybe at least 72 as 34 may be a bit short for such a big event. I do my usual thing and keep the stores to my left side and just keep going, that way you are sure to hit all of them. Whimsy is more of a zig-zag lady.
You have until the 8th of July but do not forget to visit or at least space it out if you do not do everything at once, and trust me the discounts are epic.
I will be adding pictures once the event is live, as well as some images of new Linden Homes and some of the wonderful displays done by Residents at the celebrations, you will need to open up your next few weeks to get it all in, but so worth it.

The Lilith Hammock is really fun , not only does it have great singles poses, but also has a really nice swinging motion that is optional with a click. I do also really like that it comes without trees or posts, because then you can just add it to your own area, whether it be a veranda, or a set of palms etc, the choice is yours. the cushions are editable so you can re-position them if needed depending on the pose you use, and the settings for the poses come in a drop down menu that you can adjust so that your parts don’t go through the hammock or cushions. This is definitely a must have not only for great pic taking opportunities, but also for making the upcoming warmer months very relaxing.
The shechy bikini by Baiastice is a really pretty bikini, with choice of either floral print or solid colours. The great bottoms are actually bottom covering, so that is a plus if you are not into g-string styles. The swimwear comes in standard sizing, so make sure and try all the demos. One thing I have noticed with many tops that focus on the breast area is that changing your cleavage and buoyancy can actually help them fit a lot better than just changing your size.
The beautiful skin I am wearing is a release by sYs that is featured at Skin Addiction Showcase at the moment. I really love the soft features of the face, it is a really nice skin to wear for clean fresh and outdoorsy looks.

Because I don’t have access to Appearance Mode, the blog – I really wish I did just to get my archives – I cannot be specific about dates. All I know is that in mid 2007 a wave washed over Second Life, and it was in the form of Diva’s. Machinema of course already existed, people had recorded things in world in the past, tutorials, dancing etc…but up to that time, I personally had never seen anything like it.
The style involved was reminiscent of slapstick vaudeville, the fact that Phaylen Fairchild doesn’t actually think she is funny, is what makes her so hilarious…she is our own virtual Bette Midler, just blonde.
That very night, the first ever showing of Diva’s I was lucky enough to interview the then cast of the show, and believe me, it was the most intense hour or so, Phaylen decided that she was going to stay in full Diva’s character, and you couldn’t get a straight answer out of her about anything. I was so worried at the time that people just wouldn’t “Get it” but they did, and in spades. They loved the interview. She has such Star Quality and her 7 years in Second Life is a testament to that.
Coming up this month is her 7th Year Anniversary of Second Life, and it is such an incredible milestone for her. She is an absolute pleasure to listen to, and I was privileged to be interviewed by her with Whimsy Winx a few months back…reversing the tables on me so to speak.
On Sunday just past, I also had the honor of appearing on the Tonight Live show with Paisley Beebe, and Phaylen was also a guest, and had the audience in stitches with a snippet of her upcoming One Woman Show that will be on the 13th of December, and I for one cannot wait. She shared with us little parts of her show, as well as the after party, where she let us know that the FIRST ever talking Diva’s was going to be released this week. Well I couldn’t wait, and it totally lived up to it’s predecessors.
Are we ready for a talking Diva ? I will let you be the judge, but I for one found the whole merge of Second Life’s Phaylen Fairchild into World of Warcraft, incredible, not only from a comedic standpoint…but technically as well. How she did it I do not know, but it is brilliant camera work, and since I actually play WoW now on occasion, I understand the jokes lol.

I’m a woos, no it’s true, I have blubbered so many times this week it’s just whatever. But one thing that will absolutely tip me over emotionally, is the idea of a friend being hurt. I even mean virtually, don’t ever ‘headshot’ gesture in front of me, coz I will go off my nut at you.
That’s why I am sure to get spanked for this post, especially from Newdoll who will be all indignant that I am wearing a cyber heart, as the idea of her wearing a steampunk one a few weeks ago, spun me out.
But that is the way it is, when you are constantly surrounded by people that reach out a little from the norm, we all do it in our group, and it rubs off. It’s funny because we all have such varying tastes, but end up loving such similar if not the exact same things, as you have seen recently in some of our cross over posts.
Mixing it all up, I went to [rQ] earlier today, and was playing with the hair, tails, ears and animations.
I think it makes so much sense for Hair Designers to make tails and ears, I mean you have the customers already wearing your hair, so why not give them the option of their other parts being in the same rich textures, and these Kitten tails and ears are just win win win.
One thing that I love doing is shooting animations. If you have read my posts in the past you will know this isn’t the first time I have done this, and also won’t be the last.
Red Queen has some incredible Anime AO’s , which I will be featuring over the next few posts, the pics today are taken from just one of them, and I could have taken dozens more pictures with them.
Magicka Moonites is the creator of the AO’s from Red Queen, and between her and Ruth Quan the creativity and energy is wonderful.
Tips to taking pictures of animations:
1. Unpack the AO just as though it is a box.
2. Load them into a posestand – I use the VR Professional Posestand and HUD.
3. Change animations just as though you would poses, but be patient and let them run through the whole animation before you start taking pictures.
4. If the animation has a lot of fast movement, go to Advanced > Character > Slow Motion Animations and click on it. This will slow them down so that you can shoot your pictures a little easier, do not forget to uncheck it when you are done.
Shooting animations is not only a lot of fun, but it actually extends your range of picture taking, giving more flexibility to the images, as well as actually giving you a lot more picture options in the one animation, which can actually save you money in the long run.
The other great part is that when you have animations to shoot with, things like incredibly flowing hair or tails such as the ones I have on today get captured in movement, and it really is fun to shoot that way.
Wanting to show off as much of the Red Queen skins as possible, not only do you get light and dark brows, but also a ‘Damage” look, which I thought was fun to wear after my obvious and so graceful fall.
These skins as did the first release, have such lovely toned bodies, and incredible make ups, making the eyes a definite feature to the skins make up.
I swung by Paradisis on my way home, always one for baring some skin, this store does not disapoint. I actually got much more than I shot, but you can see a bit of a mix in the items shown.
If you have been looking for more in the way of shorts with suspenders and sexy thigh high stockings, then the Hands Off set is a MUST HAVE. I am also definitely in love with the set shown in the top pictures which not only have creamy stockings but also thick rubberised and holey leggings over the tops.
The Wrapped Boots I am wearing in the top pics are boots that Ashia Tomsen of Inventory Episode keeps asking me if I have gotten them yet, I HAVE HAVE HAVE NOW. I told myself I had to wait a few weeks for those and some other items I have to go grab soon.
Boots like this are always so fun, they definitely add a spring to your step, and whether a little ball of energy like Ashia or tall like myself, they are such fun. Also fun for boots, and sexy by name and nature are the Kinky boots by Utopia, I have actually taken the shiny off these boots in edit, yes miracle of miracles they are mod, funnily enough many kinky things are :P.

At last years hair fair, well prior actually, I had the pleasure of running all over the grid setting up kiosks. It was great getting to meet so many creators prior to the event, same with the year before with the guess who event, I had at one stage every single hair designer on my little platform in the sky…it was a hair addicts dream.
One creator who I hadn’t come across prior to that was the owner of Discord Designs, and when setting up the kiosk I didn’t even get a chance to check out the goods, but the day before we opened I set off for her booth and it was instant wooooohoooo.
This year was no different, and of course the many woohoo’s in between. Pairing up Discord Designs with Uzuri kind of seemed a no brainer really, and as I had a clothing folder just dieing to be seen, it had to happen today…so much so that I even jumped off my stand to go get more Uzuri.
Points to the earrings ♥ they were made by special request, the textures part was , the earrings were already a must have, that just got a whole hell of a lot yummier in the Turquoise. Make sure when you are at Uzuri you check out the boxes on the floor, there are two full of free clothing, that I know was on the wall for sale only a few months ago, so thats one hell of a bargain.

You know it’s not just men that laugh stupidly at so obviously naughty words.Ok maybe we don’t laugh the same as boys do, but we do notice when something is named something that is a bit tongue in cheek so to speak, or maybe it isn’t at all, and some just have dirtier minds than others – and by some I mean me.
So when Newdolly tpd me to the location of the first dress, yeah I wen’t “oh my” and then had a giggle, and it still makes me laugh just thinking about it.The dress is adorably cute, and the store was actually next door to where Newdoll was showing me in the first place.
Stardust Flapper was a perfect dress for the Pixie Hairstyle I’m wearing, tight and curled in just the right places, it has that look of the 20’s, with modern styling products.
We all know I have my purple condition, and I still stand by my round about notion that I don’t hate it exactly, it’s just one shade I cannot handle, and if there are other colours to be had , purple tones would rarely be a choice over others. But I have to say I am so for loving these Grape pants. They also have a long version, and they did have cuffs, but with the capri length , the way cool piping in white, it was too hard not to combine them with the latest Cross Laced Up Heels.
Showing three of the colours available in these shoes, they are with feet and toes, so yes you will have to match them to your skin, or do as i do , match your skin to your shoes. I love how these wrap around the leg, the wide straps of leather look soft and generous in length, the bow at the back is glorious..make sure you try on the demos to make sure they work with your shape, but they do definitely come with resizers inbuilt.
The tanks that have the slight lift to work over belted pants are a win, but even when not wearing prim attachments it just looks cute having that little bit of exposure. A little bit casual for the Sienna hair, with its slight waves and mid length it all works. Seriously the pants are YUM.
Ophelia is a gown to delight the romantic senses, not just in it’s full gown glory, but with the tea skirt that is belted at the midriff it’s just divine. The creamy fabric decorated with soft smatterings of leaves and flowers is just so delicately beautiful. This is the kind of gown that alludes to being truly a princess of nature, for me it is like coming alive from the forest itself.
As inspiring, the Alethia hair is beautiful also, and combined they make one hell of an impact. The hair is adorned with coins and chain, and would definitely make great hair for Kajira and anyone for that matter in silks, but with the Ophelia Gown it was just heavenly.

I came across an adorable store today, very Elf like in build, with a kind of space age mysticism added in. Instantly I thought of Beauvoir of Maitreya. If you have ever seen Beau you would know why. So this is what I would think he would wear if he was a girl lol – dodges the smack.
Ok he probably wouldn’t show his tummy as much as I am, but still it is such a beautiful store and he makes me smile everytime I see him. On a seperate note, I once did a pic pile up of him and Onyx so maybe it will give you insight into what I am rambling about, it is HERE .
The clothing is all from the same store, the range is magnificent, and the prices WOW you just really need to get over there and look.
Being able to move through a store like this, and just really love the textures alone is really lovely, even if the style isn’t yours, you really cannot fault the execution of each design. One thing I didn’t notice at the time, is that all the perms differ, some items are no copy, some are no transfer. I rarely ever pay attention to that as I keep everything , so unless I am on a mission of gifting it rarely matters, but it is nice to find a store that does actually have such lovely pieces that you can give, just make sure you check first.
When I put on the first set I knew that it needed more magic, and the jump to the Inspired Sparrow wings was simple, these wings are stunning and with the sculpties being perfectly shaped and xcite compatible, which is a giggle and a half sometimes. The wings beautifully compliment the Asian Flower necklace by the same creator but in a different store on the same sim. I love when creators branch out of their comfort zones, but keep to their own names so that fans of their work can really grow alongside them.
There is nothing better to me than open fronted or short fronted long skirts, I love them RL and SL, best way to show off boots there is. Yes with flexi skirts your boots are going to jut through regardless, but its so nice when it has a little more realism to it.
Angelina boots are slimline boots in a crushed leather look, so very detailed, with the laced up backs and full length inside leg zippers – the toes are pointed to Whimsy Winx standards of acceptability *snickers*. Another beautiful feature of the Angelina boots are the seam up the front, these things are as real as can be.
All of the clothing was available in at least 4 colours, and green fans unite, because this store loves us…and not just green but THAT green, the soft autumn like green that is just cherishable, yes I almost did do the post entirely in green lol. Many of the outfits also had other options, such as the black Insect Latex set on the second pic, that has the sheer open look top and bottom, as well as the closed, so even more bang for your buck.
As you can see also, you can wear the skirted outfits without as they do come with pants options, and some even came with a second pair for boots, those were made on another pants layer though, not underpants. There are mens items also at the store on the second level, so be sure to take your partner, and if you are into RP definitely give it a visit, because the prices are amazing, and the work is splendid.
I really love how they look with the Timeless IIÂ skins too, with new make ups and a lovely canvas to show off such lovely clothing, they also come in a freckled version. As usual I love the mouths on this skin, and the way the eyes are shaded gives them so much character. Make sure you give the Demos a spin, maybe even grab them on your way to the clothes.
I couldn’t resist wearing the Maitreya hair either in this post, as the white is always hair Beau wears, and the new styles look fantastic on Men, and now with the NEW Tones, Beau has actually changed to Silver and once you see the demos of the new colours you will see why, it is GORGEOUS.
