OOOOO I just also remembered something from a notice, will verify this too though, but I ‘THINK’ that if you want to be a part of the RFL fundraising effort and not a part of the fair, they have set aside a portion of space for people to do that, so you could contact Nevar Lobo and make sure thats accurate, but if so and you want to make something fabulous and contribute the funds from it to RFL that would rock too.

The much anticipated Relay for Life, Clothing Fair will be opening it’s doors March 17, and run thru March 23, 2008. Jam packed with live music, treasure hunts… and fashion shows this year’s fair features 84 of SL’s premier designers! Kicking off this years Relay for Life Clothing Fair will be a multi-sim St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The event runs 24/7 until the doors close on the 23rd.

The other day as I was island hopping with Jaydie, I took her over to DP Serendipity to grab those fab pants I posted in the past.

While we were there, we decided to explore a bit more and found the PigSight section.

Cruising around the little vendor booths I came across this fabulous 1920’s styled Flapper Dress and I was inspired..not just by Jaydie saying it would look cute on me *huggles Jaydie* but also because I knew just the hair for it.

The dress is the Black Flair Dress by Salty Candy and it was a staggering 80L lol. Mind you I have done a Sasy Take on it on the sides of this pic, so be aware the four in the centre are the parts you get in this set.

It is a divine 1920’s creation, and I just love that whole era, there are two styled tops to the dress but I was too in love with this lace trimmed one.

A few weeks ago I went over to Bossa Nova and came face to face with the Laylah hair, that comes with the incredible Turban and Gemstone, be aware also lol that the Turban texture has been modded, its a divine floral black and grey when you buy it, but the pattern was too different to show with this dress.

I am so enamoured by this hair/turban combo, as all I need now is a yap yap white dog and I will be in Classic Film Heaven. To keep with the theme I am wearing vintage stockings from
N°9 Nylons , that have an incredible assortment of stockings and garters in an array of fabulous colours. I have on an older pair of tanned seamed stockings in the main pics and then the NEW Neon Black (stay ups) in the Sasy Take pics – giggles because I now have to remember to keep calling it that when I do those.

I was playing with the two different attachments for this incredible dress, and decided that the top part would look great with possibly another style top under it, crossed my fingers and YAY it worked. The top underneath in the Sasy Take is the Braided Bodice top from the dresses by Popfuzz Designs ( I am blogging them soon I promise) lowering the chest piece a smidge it lined up really well.

Then I added the Risque set shorts by Cashmere, but I did tint them black, so now as you can see the look is more of a Cigarette Girl in a Jazz Club kind of dealio lol – I so wanted to be one of those even though I was born 50 years too late, that and a DooWap girl, you know the back up singers of that era lol.

The shoes because again they suit the theme so well are the ETD Heel Strap Platforms and the buckles on the sides in silver just complimented the Silver Medallion set Jewelry from Essentia, with hair that tight and short I needed big yummy earrings.

I hope you take the time to run over to the Salty Candy store, there isnt much there but this dress is a definite need and the price rocks. Also go check out this incredible Hair from Bossa Nova, I was so out of the loop I had no idea Moire did hair, Laylah is a definite Must Have if you love vintage.

Last year when I had a whopping week and a half breakl, I was as silly as could be. Changing into every costume/themed outfit I had in my inventory ‘Just because I can’ was my reply to people asking why, oh and I danced EVERYWHERE! you know when you see people TP in and they are still stuck in dancing animations…well that was me on purpose.

When Teagan Blackthorne of Style Your Destiny sent me these two adorable Fae sets, thats what immediately came to mind, the freedom to just ‘Be’ in SL.

As its also getting to that time of year when we think of “little people’ in Green, these sets are somewhat appropriate too. I mean Leprechaun’s have to date too right?.

What I love most about these two sets, the first being Cliona and the second being Sheila, is that they are kind of cheeky Fairies. Something about those stripey socks and cheeky panties…just make me think that both Fae’s are out for causing a bit of mischief…they may LOOK innocent and sweet, but I dont buy it lol .

Both sets also come with the system skirts, but in the Cliona I removed that and pusheed down my skirt to show a bit of skin between, and really liked the length it turned into. Again she ‘looks’ innocent.

The Sheila Fairy, well aside from the cute shorter dress on this set, the ladybug hitching a ride is way cute. Teagan is always up for creating fun pieces and I can just see her prancing around in these sets throwing things at Laynie – what things I have no clue, but you can see it too can’t you lol.

Because Teagan and Laynie Link share a store now, I opted for the Laynie-Wear
skins of Earth Dancer and Fire Dancer, they are both modded from the Eloh Eliot bases and the make-ups are just lovely on them.

Also lovely to mix in with S.Y.D and LW is Bewitched Hair, especialy the Nymph hair worn in the first picture and Old World Medium length in the Second pic, fabulous styles by Sheltered Heart, the first time I ever actualy went out and danced with both girls was at a Bewitched Hair event.

The Shoes I have on are the Ballet Wedges by ETD that are colourchange and always fun to frolic in . So if you feel like dancing around your Garden or chasing some Handsome Leprechaun around, then consider doing it in one of these cute Fae sets, there are more planned by Teagan soon so look out for those too.

Many by now would have realised I am a HUGE fan of Here Comes Trouble, not just the store itself but also both designers behind it…Babyboo Glitterbuck and Bailey MacKenzie.

Last night it dawned on me that I hadnt heard a peep out of Boo in a while and I IM”d her to be told that she was the latest victim of Content Theft. Anyone that knows HCT hair would spot this a mile away, especialy these three styles shown in the picture, as they were very unique for the time she released them and still hold true now with the texture change pieces that are intermingled with the hair.

Unfortunatly though it went further than just HCT’s content, much further as you can see in the pictures.

What I found very interesting, is that all the content is of a particular theme/lifestyle so to speak, being very Urban Neko, which when I was at the meeting later that night (more about that soon) I had to giggle when some of the creators were passed the IP rights posters and didnt know who any of the designers on them were *giggles again* – sorry that is funny.

It made me think though, are thieves getting smarter? on this side of the Fashion Fence we are very very aware of who makes what, and we are all die hard shoppers, so we see pretty fast when someone steals. But what about all the other fences? this whole genre was copied, ok not all but seriously its insane how many stores were.
The thing is too, those themes stay amongst each other, they shop from like minded stores etc, they have their favourites and stick to those, so does that leave them more exposed to theft?.

If Nekos only shop at Neko Sims/Stores and dont really hop all over the grid like ‘fashionistas’ do, then the potential of seeing another store selling their fav items is less, and have thieves like this one caught on to that fact?.

Regardless of how or why, the facts are that this person has taken dozens of items and replicated them and is selling them in her two locations.

One of the designers wrote a notecard about what took place yesterday so I am going to paste that here.

So here is the whole story from 5:30 am slt time till late at 10:30 pm slt:

When I had logged on yesterday morning I had received a message and a texture explaining that my mice boots had been spotted at a shop. I quickly searched the shop name from the texture and arrived to find countless amounts of ripped items surrounding the walls.

There wasn’t one thing in that store I think, that the persons in question had originally made on their own. I proceeded to IM Colemarie and Akasha to help spread the news and tell them items from many stores had been ripped.

I then IMed owner of Electric Kitty once I spotted his belt, along with Philo of Hybrid. After that I noticed the owner of the venders was standing right in the shop, so I IMed her to tell her that I would be filing a DMCA report about this, and I got no response.

Once Akasha showed up a few others started to be tped in and a few others and so on. I began to compile info and pictures, posting the original pictures on Flickr of my boots and belt that had been stolen.
From there talk about the store and identifying the items went on with people IMing the owners of the other ripped items that were present in the store. After about an hour and a half I would say I began to type and file my DMCAs and soon then after logged.

When I returned later in the day about 3:00 pm slt, I had messages from people so I soon joined others that had been standing at the ripped store katsuo Designs.
I was greeted with owners from HCT, Electric Kitty, Curious Kitty, Catnip, and many more. There was also two mentors of sl there trying to give stern advice on how the now in swing protest should go.

After a while maybe 45 minutes into this, someone had contacted one of the owners, Shiranda Milev, and was trying to negotiate a deal so that the venders could be removed without harm and hassle.
Everyone except Akasha, Aemshin, and I were asked to leave the store so we could delegate with the owner and now her “bot” and a few friends on why they should take down their venders.
After about 30 minutes of trying to prove that the items in question were ripped and should be removed, we had decided to go ahead and stop talking with them for the reasons of: they claimed that since the items had, had changes done to them, it stated that they were original and that they were not going to be taking them down.

Akasha and Aemshin left the store while I stayed and decided that a rally needed to be done in order for this to be stopped and done quickly.
I wrote a notecard down with the LM included of the store and asked that anyone and everyone please join me in a rally at 7pm slt to stop this act of theft. I got quick responses and many people called and notified many groups in an effort to take down the store.
Within the hour of me passing notecards and IMs, People had begun to start showing up and supporting the cause. I quickly stated that no greifing was nesessary and that the best way would be to mass report the store.

About 15 minutes after I think 50 people had arrived, the sim crashed. We all compiled back not in the same numbers but at least 25 + people and began to report again. This is when the “bot from earlier”(bots name: Group2U Auro) came into the store along with a Tazzy Runo and began to threaten and yell at everyone there.
After about 5 minutes in Tazzy yelled that she removed the venders, which only pertained to some of the items ripped, and that we all had 10 seconds to leave, as to which we didn’t seeing as this was a peaceful protest and we were doing no harm in being there. 20 minutes I’m guessing later through all my IMs I had going, I hear someone say that she had started to eject people and soon after I was ejected to the near by parcel.

Soon after we realized that the land had been set to the store group so we all joined in her group and preceded to organize our selfs back in the store again, taking snapshots and continuing with the reports. By this time people had entered the group chat of the store and were trying to warn the people that the items this store was selling was ripped and stolen.

Conversations continued while I was in IMs with the owner of HCT, Babyboo. She had offered her sim to us for a meeting spot to discuss this issue at hand. I soon informed the party that at this time had actually been banned and were on the near by parcel again that a meeting would be a great idea and so we all comprised to the sim at that point.

There have been some incredible ideas proposed to help with this matter, not just regarding this one incident of theft but ways to band together to support and help in the future and potentialy make it very hard to do again.

We know that there are other Groups out there already formed and would love to hear from the officers of those Groups about combining some meetings and ideas, if you know of any Groups or are in any please leave a comment of contact one of the four people mentioned as they are all officers of the Group.

If any of the ideas I heard last night come into play, this is going to drasticaly change many things we are used to for the better, I hope that many of you either join this group or pass on the info to others with similar interests.

Recently Popfuzz released an item that was a special request, and then read my mind when it came to releasing the same item in a slew of incredible colours.

The Sequined dresses come in more colours than shown here, and the texture is spot on.

The length of this style is perfect for fabulous nightwear, and the cute little flexi skirt shimmies just right – mind you I am begging Pop to do it in a Micro version too :P, as all good dresses the tops look fab with pants or other skirts and as usual Popfuzz has created these yummies on all layers to give you maximum options.

I have actualy been really bad when its come to show you this dress, as I have had it for awhile now, but see it seems I was meant to wait, because Tesla only just released the incredible Sherry shoes that are just PERFECT to go with this dress.
They are different than anything Tesla has done before, and she told me she spent hours working on the strapping to curve just right across the foot. Not only are the style of the shoes fabulastic but the textures are all named after Gem Stones and the combo of the shoes and dress together are superb.

The texture that Tesla created for these has a divine shimmer to them, which will draw attention down your lovely legs to your sexily clad feed, and then back up again to this HOT dress – and thats the point, right ?.

I did start out with red hair black dress, but then by the time I got to blue dress and blue hair I was having too much fun, so it became my theme. BareRose’s June Dion never ceases to amaze me, her creativity is astounding.

She constantly changes direction with her themes keeping her store fresh and exciting every week. The latest and definitely a set that all ladies should love, is The Song of an Island.

We are blessed in Second Life to have the oppurtunity to all live by the water, and if not live then definitely play. I dont usualy do locations shots, and Tori and Jaydie today experienced why first hand ‘ I’M SORRRRRRRRRRY’ .

The first two pictures where taken at Mel Noir Cinema and this is the wheel of Mels boat, and his beach bar lol.

The incredible set like all of BareRose items, comes with an abundance of pieces, as well as a variety of options; in this case in the colours of the adorable halter tops. There are four tops, Orange, Pink, Blue and Green. You also get the cute cutoff denim shorts, but its the other pieces that blew my mind.
For one look at those wicked cool swimming goggles on my head, I mean they are too many degrees of fabulous. Then you have the awesome wrapped around shirt worn on the hips, because as you know it gets way too hot on the islands to wear long shirts, but cool at night so you need something on hand *giggles*.

I love love love the fact that while island hopping, you can pull out your snakeskin banjo and belt out some tunes for the locals to pay your way, and if seashell collecting is your thing then the jewelry you can make is yummy – ok ok I know I am being silly but Dayum how cool is this set.

Now Miss Tori cheated a little and was scampering around barefoot, but I totaly couldnt and neither could Jaydie my Islander in Crime today, when we saw the INCREDIBLE sandals that come with. These fit incredibly well for the style thats often not the case, and I realised that June did the awesome trick that Feri did on his pants a few posts back, making the prims only cover part of the leg and the rest is texture, so you get a smooth look thats just FABULOUS!.

If you are in the mood for a Sea-Change, then this set will inspire you to slow down and smell the flowers, and yes June even provided some of those in the ones that adorn the incredible Banjo strap. I not only loved dressing up with my friends but Jaydie and I continued island hopping for another hour before I headed back to work, it was so calming and just downright blissful to dress this way for part of the day.

Im also wearing Mika hair by Kin, and Skin is Tan Skin Gloss Holiday by Minnu Model Skins….Jaydie is wearing Luth Hair by ETD and Pandora Skin tone 4 by Adam n Eve.

Valerie McDunnough, Alaska Metropolitan and Eria Ziemia have joined ranks in bringing a NEW Group to the Grid, its idea is that all people in Modeling Agencies and Events people join the group and all those that love going to shows around the grid join up, and Managers and Owners of Agencies ask to be added as the representative for each agency, so they can send notices. Only the ones invited to send notices will be able to post info on shows – so do the right thing in that regard please.

This is an open enrollment group for those wanting to keep informed about the best fashion shows in Second Life, produced by the many professional Agencies across the grid. Never again miss a Fashion Show because you didn’t read certain publications in time or follow all the fashion blogs.
Owners of Fashion Agencies in SL that hold shows, can contact the group founder or one of the Co-Operators about rights to post notices about your shows and more specific information.
This group is only for announcements concerning upcoming fashion shows, any other kind of message will be regarded as spam and may result in ejection.

Mission Statement –
This would strictly be for announcing upcoming fashion shows. I think an open group with limited ‘powers’ would be great for getting the word out to people that enjoy fashion shows but seldom come in contact with the ever-growing magazine market or blogs. I myself do not have time to keep up with all the blogs and try to keep up with the more recent magazines. This group should also appeal to bloggers/magazines providing up to date info on coming shows.
This is an open group for entry level, whom we shall call the ‘fans’, be they normal attendee’s, reporters or whatever catagory they might fit in. Entry level would only be able to recieve notices. The proposal aspect and IM channel would not be used at all. Every qualified agency can have 2 members promoted to a position where they can post notices about their particular agencies upcoming shows. One notice can be posted in advance then one notice right before the event was to start.

Now for why I wanted these Helena Sashes so badly, I had a look in my head when I bought Helena, and even though it wasnt possible the way the set was comprised I spoke to Myllie about it and she took it and created my dream LOVES LOVES LOVES.

As I already said I LOVE the Helena dress and the way it has the shirt with collar for a really stunning look, but I loved the idea of having the same sashed skirt and being able to make some incredible Gown looks from the pieces, now not only can I do that with Helena Burgundy but so many other awesome pieces not only I have but I know you all have too hiding away.

First off as it was Sunday and you may not have seen it, please take a moment to do the POLL on how you use Search to find Stores in SL.

I had been paying close attention to releases at Persona lately, and one dress totaly captivated me, I was glad I ended up too busy to run over as Myllie Writer ended up releasing it in one of my favourite colours since the major release so off I ran.

When I got there though I was totaly sidetracked by all the wonderful items she has in her store and the one thing that just leapt off the wall was the Hippie Chic Tunic. I grabbed the Blue with glee and when I was taking the pictures I wasnt satisfied, I pined for more. So again I zoomed back and grabbed it in two more colours lol.

In RL I used to Manage a store that dealt primarily in imported Indian clothing and accessories for body and home, in the whole time I worked there I dont think I ever ever took home a full paycheck. When you live in a country as hot as mine can get you relish cheesecloth and various forms of cotton clothing. Indian styles too especially then were very ‘In’ and I dont think they ever really go out but it was definitely no longer Hippie wear here.

The tunic comes on all shirt layers and the system skirt is done so incredible well, with two sash options; One at the hips and one around the waist. The texture work on this is divine and so realistic you can just feel that scratchy at first cotton that gets softer and softer as you wear it to death.

The colours are fab and the price is awesome, I would love love love to see Myllie do this style in darker colours for nightwear. As you can see its adorable as a mini dress and sensational over any pants you favour.

The boots oh lordy those boots, I love them to death but they are tinted right now lol and yes badly I agree but you get the point of the look I was going for. The boots are by SF Designs and are the Yeti Fox boots, they are more of a Black/Yellow combo and just too much fun.

All the skins are Fleur and from left to right you have Paon 1, Chaton 1 and Aurora 3. All divine make-ups in the Bronzed tone.

Middle Pic: I am wearing the Tiffany hair by Aden Breyer, and this time went with capri pants by G.L.A.M which are from the Candy Apple Jeans pack that is probably not in store anymore as a lot was discontinued, but any of Chloris’s denim would work well. The shoes in this pic are the cute little Green Ballet Flats and they are also from Persona in a pack of lots of colours and ONLY 1L wooohooo didn’t see them on my firts trip but saw them when I returned for more Hippieness lol.

Right Pic: Hair again Aden Breyer is Kenzie 2 and I am so glad I bought this the other day as it just went perfectly with the Hippie Chic set, the way the hair is wrapped around from the middle part and gathered into a long pony is so elegant I adore it. The boots are the Fringe boots by ::69:: or Succubus whichever you want to call it, they are perfect fringe boots and work so harmoniously with this set I was completely smitten and of course thats when I needed mooooore.

Now for the other love from Persona, this is Helena. The first three pics left to right are how you get the set, the last two are how I put it together for the rest of the day. As soon as I saw this set I thought of Spain, and the fact that it came out in such a dinamic Burgundy just brought that image back more so.

The incredible deep red sash is heaven – look out for more on those *crosses fingers*. The stunning option of both floor length skirt and kneelength was inspirational, I love the mature statement of this set as it really is both Stylish and a Classic Must Have.
The prim work on not just the skirts but the cuffs and collar are delightful, Myllie is definitely talented when it comes to putting together such pieces- there is nothing more rewarding than when something floats so well and then is just seamless in its finish.

The shirts are now sold seperately in a range of colours as she was innundated with requests and you can see why, it is yummy. I couldnt help myself though I just had to show it with dress pants, and I tried on as many pairs as I could and only one store had the right height waist and front detailing -definitely would be more but I am refering to my inventory :P, but in a different shading so off I ran to get them in the right black needed.

They are the Monochrome Black pants from First Impressions by Pukk Abel, sold in a set of five colours with lowrise and high waist options for only 250L a steal, and the monochrome is only one of the packs available in these fabulous business styled seperates. The stunning versatility of the Helena is amazing.

The skin I am wearing is the lovely Michelle Skin by Damiani in Emerald Ruby Fair, I used sliders to remove the lipgloss to give the lipstick more of a matt finish, the tones available and the beautiful make-ups in this collection of skins are delish make sure you DEMO DEMO DEMO.

Hair left to rigth is Innocents by Here Comes Trouble (an older style, and still very glamorous) , KRC02 by booN which we know I just adore and really stands out in this fabulous daytime look of Helena.

The incredible New Charley hair by ETD made me run back and re-take the pics I already had for the pants look lol, couldnt resist it was just perfect, the hat is click to change colours and so many to choose from.

The shoes are the yummy Verve heels by Maitreya that come in an incredible assortment of colours and have both black or tan sole options. The stockings you can see barely are seamed and part of the Helena set.

Also I need to point out that Persona has some incredible Freebies in the store, not only the ballet flats for 1L but there are two packs of stands and flying animations for free and the stands are animated so you have wonderful movement from stand to stand PERFECT for creating a new AO or your first.

Also Myllie Writer and Annah Whitfield own together ANIMAH a poses and animations store at another location which you definitely need to check out also, I am using one or two poses/stands in these pics. I hope you loved Hippie Chic and Helena as much as I do and get on over there asap and check out all the other wonderful pieces Myllie has to offer.
