I have had this as a to do post since the day it went live, I use it, talk about it often but had not gotten the kick in the pants that I needed to make that happen. That was until group chat opened in the Blueberry VIP group the other day, and the lovely Ines was mentioning how she organises her inventory and outfits…and went on to mention that the 10L upload fee for the images needed was worth it.

So of course this lead to me having something to say. I respectfully – I hope – interrupted and let her know that due to the “Newish” Second Life feature of ‘Image/s’ you could do the same job at no cost. A hush fell over the group…or lag, one or the other, but I like to be a bit dramatic. Then others mentioned that they did not know of this great new feature, and to tell them more…waves to Ines, Trista, Trinket and Hikari. All lovely Blueberry Group members – I really hope I say their names correctly in the video. So I did a quick and dirty GIF and explained the method and told them that I would do a post on this, as it had been burning a hole in my Blog to do list – that is actually a thing I have.

So I have done a video, where yet again I am out of practice talking to my own avatar – you would think I would have the talking down pat, because I do tend to talk paint off of a wall, but it is the not scripting myself and thinking ten other things about what I am doing in the moment that throws me, so apologies for the occasional trip of the tongue.

It is less hot down here at the moment, but I am not! because I get to run around the grid adorned with fabulous things. Such fabulousness that I decided that as I walk I make a tinkling sound, because these amazing Hair Sticks by Sparkle Skye just make you want to believe that to be true. They are stunners, and while I have modded them to be smaller because of the hairstyle, they have so much to give as a must have item. Firstly the texture change options, and I mentioned mod already because they are indeed, so that is just all sorts of win. Then you have the fact that they are all separate sticks….do not despair, because they are mod you can of course link them together if you have attachment limits, but I just love that I can wear a single stick or many many sticks, no one can tell you what way you style your look. The mesh work is fabulous and so delicate and femininity. They are currently available at the Sakura Matsuri event, which is all things Sakura, a bit like Sparkle herself.

I went with Silver as the metal choice, because I am also loving these Hoop earrings by Dark Mouse. I have not taken them off since I got them. They were a reboot items for her, and I just love how realistic the silver looks. As well as the other metals available.
I wanted a more fun and casual look for the Hair Sticks so went with creating a mix using a hairbase by NonNative and the buns from a Sintiklia style, I love when you can hybrid designs that way. To further my still summery look I reached for the Spring Pack exclusive that Bluerry has until April 2nd for a ridiculously low price, there are these shorts and a great tshirt that comes in 10 different print options. The shorts have some great prints, some of them even include bunnies, not my particular taste, but they grew on me, the tshirts give off that surfer/skater 80s vibe, so I may or not wear those a hundred times in future.

I grabbed a Skin by Insol the other day, how cute is she, then adding some of the new highlighter set layers that Izzie’s has out at The Fifty I am just adorable. There are so many options in the set, you can bring changes to many skins just by adding some highlights, you will have a blast. While there I turned and saw they had a gift set of eyes at Insol, I don’t change eyes much at all, I find a green I like and stick to it, I think long term other than posts I have probably only had 4 changes over the years, but this is definitely a pack I am sticking with for a while, they are stunners. Then adding to that the gorgeous make up stylings of Alaska Metro I am perfect! It is true, my Mum says so all the time, no wait, she says she made me perfect, if anything changed it is my fault.

The annual Hair Fair event is coming soon, and we are now in the application process. It is that time of year again, the last day of Hair Fair where traditionally it becomes Bandana Day. It still makes me so happy that the bandana booth always raises a considerable amount for Wigs for Kids and that people still contribute by making bandanas, decorating bandanas and purchasing those and the Hares from the bandana booths. This year I even saw people wearing previous years bandanas while shopping the event to bring down their avatar LOD while shopping, to help prevent lag, which many used to do back in the day, we have pictures somewhere.

This year when setting up the booth I realised, with a loud gasp that I had not done a greyscale version of either a bandana or the hair wraps, and as an often black wearing person, this was mind boggling to me, but I did understand that I try and make sure that with the wraps there is a lot of colour and vibrancy if possible, but black and white or grey just left my brain. So was delighted when I saw the ones that Augenweide donated to the event, it was just perfect for me, as well as all the others that I purchased of course. So today I am wearing that, and you can still get yours for 50L at Hair Fair until midnight tonight. The Hair Fair Hares are 150L and 100% of the proceeds from anything in the bandana booths is donated to Wigs for Kids. So thank you to everyone that added to and bought from, again you are a great part of the event.

All Bandanas, Hair Wraps and Hares are sold Mod, Transfer, so you can gift them to others, and they are all retired after the year they appear, so that they are collectibles for each year.

Wings not only created a beautiful style for their Hair Fair release, but also their booth is just a work of art, you walk in and feel like you are part of some art installation at a museum and it is glorious. The hairstyle has options of flyaways both subtle and intense and it gives such beautiful motion to the look. I went with the behind shoulders option that still has some movement with the tendrils at the front, and I am loving it.

Zibska as always created some stunning accessories, and this one is actually one sided with mirror options that I could not resist wearing together. It comes with huds of all colours and parts colour separately, which is awesome, but I chose the silvery look to work with all my black. The cascading petals are also a second add on option, so you have a whole lot of looks with one item.

This style by Monso at Hair Fair 2023 is adorable, it comes in two versions, one is as shown the other is more curled around the shoulders and behind the arms, so depending on what you are wearing, this is good to have that option. The style also comes with its own headband that is very fun and playful and is also separately available as a gift in their booth, but I decided to show how amazing it will look with any number of other hair accessories you may have, or pick up at Hair Fair such as the one shown by Revienne.

The hair has a braid along the top of the head, so that in itself gives off a headband vibe, so the style looks gorgeous without any adornment at all. I am also using the add on bangs, which are unrigged and perfect, going to use them with other hair in future, really need to make myself an add on bangs folder eventually and take copies and put them there for future use. I also used the two tones hud that comes with the pack, and really enjoyed this black and soft blonde insert look. especially how it appears on the bangs also. If you didn’t want it there you could just apply while they are off and then add them afterwards, lots of ways to play.

The headband is by revienne and it is an incredibly crusted with diamonds very fancy fancy headband look. It fit perfectly to this hair straight out of the box, though it does have resizing options if needed, by clicking on the headband and using the drop down menu. It is very glamourous so I dressed up for the look, and just love that kind of Blair from original Gossip Girl feels it was giving me.

Exile released three styles at this years hair fair, which is wonderful…an Updo which they always do superbly, some double tails and this beautiful bunches style. I chose this as my feature because the style is not only glorious but it provided the perfect backdrop for the adorable batty clips by The Little Bat, that are also a Hair Fair release.

The hairstyle comes with a styling hud inbuilt into the main hud, with options of forward, left and right and behind shoulders, now normally I am all for the behind shoulders look in most styles, but the lovely waves of this do made me want to come forward at least on one side. The batty clips also come with a HUD with 20 colours for the clips and 3 metals options, I could have gone black for the picture, but I actually liked that the silver showing past the bats let you see that it was in fact a clip.

I was truly honored this Hair Fair to have Poison Rouge create an item and name it after me. The Sasy hat is everything you can want in a stylish design, with so many possibilities of wear. I knew instantly though that I was going to take my hat riding. The look being equestrian Lady Sasy and it was a blast. The hat comes with many colour options of ribbon, and I just love the added feathers.

I am wearing it with another amazing hair released at Hair Fair. The Raven hair by Navy & Copper, now this style comes as a braid in down back or left and right, but it also has a stunning diamond hairpiece accessory that you can turn on or off, so you can go from casual dressy, to high glamour at the click of a button. You have to check this style out, because it is beautiful and comes in many size options also.

What is not to love in this combination, firstly, the hairstyle by Punklist is a must get if you love braids. They include hairbases that use the SLUV which had me so happy. I wear a LeLutka head, just the original line that still used SLUV mapping, and due to BOM I am in my happiest place, so if you do see bases made for other heads that use the same, give them a try because you can wear anything SLUV based, some things just may differ slightly, this however fit like a dream. I especially love the ends of the braids looking all brushed out and wavy, so beautiful.

Adding to that beauty is one of the releases that Miura made for Hair Fair, my first favourite is her snakes set, but this fit so beautifully with the style, and I just had to feature them together. The rhinestones and metal have a HUD option for changing colours and the gemstones can be clear or solid, I am using solid, and I love the whole look, so gorgeous.

As soon as I saw this style with the bangs, I knew I was going to have a lot of fun with it. As I mentioned previously, I still use SLUV hairbases, so I had to use one I had, not the one provided in the package. I don’t plan to use the bangs as hairbase styles in the future only, I think that they will look great with many different hairstyles I have. With todays look, I loved them so much that I copied and added them three times to give them a chunkier look. I also increased the size of the bun that comes with the style. If you give me mod permissions, I’m going to use them, and I’m going to love you even more. Augenweide is a new brand, but not a new content creator, and I’m loving how happy they seem with this new brand and what the future entails for them.

This beautiful accessories set by U-Refined is delicate and beautiful, the hairpin, the earrings, are just divine. I really like how it looks like small flower buds ready to open, or snowdrops on web, it is just stunning and can be worn separately of each-other which is lovely.
